Determining barbell weight

I have just started using the CTX series. When Cathe says she is working with a 30lb barbell, does this mean that she has plates weighing 30 lbs. on each end OR are there 15 lb. weights on each end to total 30? Also, how does the weight of the bar itself figure in?
Thanks for your help!

Elizd~When Cathe says 30#'s, it includes the bar and all the weight plates. So, for instance, if her bar weighed 5 pounds and she has a 5 pound plate on each end, the total would be 15. Hope this helps.

Re: bar weights: the Troy Lite bar weighs 5#. Some other bars weigh 8# or 10#. If you don't know the weight of the bar, weigh yourself holding the bar, then without the bar, and subtract your weight from the weight of you plus the bar to get the bar weight.
