Good morning ladies..

I thought that I would do one of the MMA workouts today. But, I keep looking at the Cardio Core Circuit and it is sounding good to me. So, I think today I may do that one.

Today the kids are going to finish of their week of lessons. I have a couple of errands to run today. So, I think we may get out of the house this afternoon...

Ok, be back later to chat...

Good Morning Kathy! Everyone!

Can't wait to hear about MMA or Cardio Core Circuit. That one also peaked my interest, Kathy, so make sure you give a full report on what you do! It may decide my fate tomorrow ;)

I'm going to follow the same plan as yesterday. go out shopping early (of course I found MORE I had to buy, a gift for Greg from Zach since he is going out with him this afternoon to shop for everyone else and a tin for my lemon lush). I'll come back, do Plyo Legs, Week #3, and then bake!

BBL!

Happy Birthday Hottie....

Chris: I will let you know how the workout goes. I am really curious and I like that I don't need equipment for it...

Beth: Have a great leg workout...

Hey everyone! It was a good leg workout -- but four sets of deadlifts?! What was she thinking with those? I actually wondered if one set was a mistake that they just left in. The bonus work was killer today, too.

So, how's shock cardio? I'm wanting to do those MMA workouts -- at first they didn't sound that appealing to me, but reading the reviews makes me want to do them. That core one looks hard!

I'm taking the kids to a movie today -- either frog princess or the new alvin and the chipmunks. Then Larry's going to pick them up so I can do the wrapping at work, and maybe some last minute errands. Larry tells me last night that he was disappointed I didn't get him anything last year! I did give him little things, but apparently he didn't like them. Sigh, he's impossible to buy for!

Well, Hottie, did you decide where you're having dinner?

Waves to Joanne -- how's your cold? Better, I hope!

Hi ladies. Well, my DVDs arrived last night!! I tried my first one this morning, MMA Kickboxing. Hmmm, not sure what I think. It really wasn't very intense. Kind of a KickMax-lite. It was OK, but I was a bit dissapointed. I did like the core work at the end. Really different and I'm already feeling it a bit. I did preview Circuit Blast and it looks awesome! The music even seems better and louder or something. Maybe I'll try that one tomorrow.

Beth, ugh, men! You can't win sometimes!! My DH is impossible to buy for, too. We decided we weren't exchanging gifts this year - I don't think we did last year, either. I have a feeling he may be getting me something. I've wanted a GPS for the car, but he says it's a waste of money. He has an innate sense of direction, can find anything. I'm the total opposite - can get lost a mile away from home. I saw him looking at GPS systems online the other day and he closed it when I walked in the room. Now I'm wondering if I should get him something, but what???? My cold is much better, but now DH has it. And, it seems to have moved into Caitlyn's chest. She's got the icky cough. Caitlyn has been waiting for the new Chipmunk movie for months. She loved the first one. I didn't realize it came out today - all the previews said Christmas. I might surprise her and take the kids tonight. Let me know how it is if you see it.

Kathy, I almost did the Core Cardio one today - I want to hear how you liked it too!

Chris, happy baking and shopping today!!

Hottie, Happy Birthday!! :) :) :)

Hi ladies..

Joanne: I was considering that kickboxing workout today. Not too intense..hmm! I was hoping for kickmax level intense!

Ok, well. Just finished Cardio Core Circuit. I liked it alot. The cardio was intense and the core work was tough too. There are nice short breaks between rounds for water and breathing. I modified a couple of times. One was the rock back jump up. She said to do 4 jumping jacks and 2 plyo jacks to modify. I did. Oh and the butterfly situps are hard to do too...It was 3 cardio exercises repeated 2 times and then core work. Five rounds in all. I think it is in the lines of the cardio in the 4DS bootcamp DVD. I still like Step Moves better. But, this one is a keeper! Looking forward to trying some more..

Ok, now shower time and I am taking the kids to lunch and to run a few errands...

Kathy, yea, it wasn't very intense. There are only three combos and a short blast after each one. Some of the moves in the combos were fun, though. I'm sure there'll be quite a few moves in Cardio Core that I'll have to modify! Have fun at lunch!

Joanne

Joanne, yikes! Now you have to do last minute hubby shopping, perhaps?

My shipping tracking was updated finally and it's in San Pablo, which means it may be delivered tomorrow.... if they think it's a xmas present, they might work harder. :)

I forgot to tell you guys I am sooooo sore from yesterday!

Oh, and in one of the many threads Cathe has replied to, she did say she kept the intensity down on some of them since others are so intense.

We have lots of coughing at our house -- pretty much all four of us, but Dylan's still really the sick one. I hope Caitlyn doesn't get too sick!!

Hey Guys!

I didn't say it here yet:

Hottie!!!!:

Eat some yummy cake for me!! (Which is your favorite??)

Did my little shopping trip, and then home for Plyo Legs! This is Week #3, and it had those one-legged squat, thrust, jumps. Ya, right! LOL!!! But all in all, it was a funner one (I think?). ALways about 3/4's of the way in , I feel done, but keep pushing. I treated myself to the Extended Stretch afterwards... I always love the stretch!

Beth: Did you switch up to do the leg workout mid week in Meso 1? I know, those dead lifts are obnoxious sometimes. Esp. when she repeats them in the BACK work too. Though today I did the one legged dead lifts and I kind of liked them! ... I'm jealous you have time to go to the movies! LOL!. Maybe we'll go after Christmas during break. The Chipmunk one looks funny. the last one was! Let us know what you see. Greg is so hard to buy for too. I *force* him to make a list. We figure this will be the last year for going all out for each other, since our income is going to go in the crapper next year  . The thing is, I'm EASY to buy for! I like gifts! LOL! I'm really hoping I get an iTouch ..hehehe... I think I might... ?!?!

Joanne: Oh wow about MMA KB being less intense. But you know what? I'm kind of happy it is, because I want to do a less intense cardio after Athletic Step yesterday and Plyo today!! And with all the HiiT workouts, I think a less intense, but fun?, is going to be a good mix. I can't wait to hear what you guys think of Athletic Step!.... So weird about your DH getting you something, did you agree not to? ... i always get greg a big GC to Best Buy or Home Depot. he loves to shop both places.

Kathy: Core Cardio sounds like a tough one! See what I mean about balancing them out? Personally, I wouldnt' want ALL high impact/intense workouts. Were there Plyo moves in it? I didn't even watch the clip yet...

Better get going for now, i'm sure I'll be back in between batches of cookies... and wrapping...

for Shock Cardio coming, Beth!!!

What do you plan on doing? Adding it in to STS?

I'm excited, I want us all to have it and compare notes!!

howdy! thanks for the bday wishes. I dont know if im better or worse but my cough has definitely moved to a different stage. I really should go into work for a couple hours but right now I'm stuck in bed with Joe "taking care" of me.

So, I got my Zune HD! It was my group present (each year joe and a couple other friends coordinate one big buy that I'm too cheap to go ahead and get myself). It's pretty slick...nicer than the ipods I've had in my hands but I had some problems on my main notebook as my windows installer file is completely screwed so it can't install anything newish. I've known about the problem for a while but maybe this will get me off my ass to fix it. It's working on my XP machine so that's cool. Frankly, I'm so swamped with stuff I'm this tempted to drop it off at some store to make them fix it (even though I know with enough time I could do it myself).

I asked Joe to open up his presents since I was feeling crappy and I wanted to see him smile. He got Assassin's Creed II and Arkham Asylum. It's easy for me to get him presents since we have two consoles but every once in a while, he says stuff like that to me too Beth. Like I got him this wicked electric lawn mower (it like weights 13 pounds) and it's named the MOW-JOE (how awesome is that?) and he sort of grumbled even though he had been complaining for months that he hated having to borrow our neighbor or friends' lawnmowers. Now, I'm just sticking to video games.

Hmm...I also got a new organic skin care set that I've been wanting from my mother from the company ilike. I fell in love with their stuff when I got a facial last year with their products so I'm super happy to get a new regimen.

We're going to the Langham later tonight! My therapist cast the tie breaking vote actually. I'm excited still but I hope i'm stronger later tonight. I don't know what i'm going to order there yet. But I'm going to try and wear that Vera Wang dress I got a couple weeks ago if I can fit into it!

I'm so jealous of all you Shock Cardio people -- I hope it comes today. I saw the clips of the KB Joanne and I thought it looked light as well. I keep on telling myself I'll never need another cardio DVD at the rate that I'm racking them up but I know me...next year when Cathe has a preorder...

I did want to write personals but my eyes are becoming watery. Hope you all have a good day and thanks again for all the happy bdays!

holy crap I kid you not, I press submit, stuff something in my mouth, turn into the bed, evee barks and shock cardio is at my doorstep. BEST BDAY PRESENT EVER!

P.S. forgot to say that my kids also said Alvin wasn't opening until Christmas day, but it's displaying that it's showing today. ???? I think I talked them into the other -- which I have hopes that I'll like better, but we'll see....

um... previewing athletic step. looks like a ton of fun but not the easiest to pick up I think! eek! I need to find something Joe can learn step from for the RT!
