Good morning ladies...

Feeling sore this morning in a thankfully good way. It is going to be and is a rainy yucky day here. The weather said we may get between 1 and 2 inches of snow later this afternoon. It all depends on where the front goes. We are so close to the edge of there model predictions. Anyway, not much going on here anyway. Lauren has choir tonight and VIc is singing in a christmas production tomorrow. He has practice this morning though..

Workout today for me is the HIS step cardio from the 4 day split and the stability ball abs from ab circuits...Then tomorrow is rest day!!! YEAH!! I need a rest day..

Talk to you later..

Good Morning!

Kathy
, it's also cloudy and cool here, we're expecting rain to turn to snow tonight as well. They say a few inches as well, but it's been so warm here lately, the snow shouldn't stick or stick for long. Hopefully it doesn't make driving bad, since Greg & I have to go to work and our sitter comes from about 1/2 hour away too. Sounds like a lower key workout today, enjoy your rest tomorrow!!

And OMG, Beth, you were SO right! My core is soooo very sore this morning!! How the heck did that happen? I seriously can't think of any specific move in KCM's Plyo that would have worked my core so much. I'm actually kind of sore all over: back , neck, chest even! , oh, and my hips.

My plan is to do a 20 minute Turbo Jam (to loosen up a bit) and then a Stretch max segment. If there is no one around the TV, maybe I'll do the stretch fusion workout I had DVR'd a million years ago and remember being good for my hips.

Beth: Nice you got to have dinner out! I love Mexican out!Don't you live in a kind of remote area? Weird there were travelers there. You guys are so nice to have helped them, I bet they were very appreciative! .... How far is San Diego from you? That would be so cool if you got to go... And is Hottie going too? Even cooler!!! I'm excited for you!

Got distracted for a bit. Zach got his papers, on the front page is about an explosion at a local gas station. It's owned by the family down the street, the boys are very good friends with. The dad was working on a car, and a drop light broke and sparked and blew up the gas tank. He got 2nd and 3rd degree burns on his arms , hands and face. The article said their son was there working too, and saw his dad engulfed in flames. I can not even imagine. The station is totaled too. At least he's alive. Wow. (oh and he's the dad of the boy who shot jake with the BB gun a few weeks ago).

Off to deliver papers in a few... Hottie, we'll put yours on your doorstep! (if Evee doesn't bark and scare us!) I posted to you later last night too, btw!

Hey Joanne... thinking about you and your family.

Good morning. Kathy, between the soreness and the weather, it sounds like a good day to snuggle up and watch for snow! Hope you can do some of that and enjoy it.

Chris, wow, that gas station story is scary! When it started out I thought for sure it was really bad news. It's amazing he survived -- wow.

That sore core is so strange, isn't it? I have to say that it hasn't had as much effect on me in subsequent times doing it -- I think that was my third time doing it yesterday. The speculation on a thread I read (I was sure it must have been from another workout I'd done, but I coincidentally came across the thread at the same time) was those sort of long jumps. I don't know!! KCM really knows how to fry the core in interesting ways -- her "weights" one really got me earlier this week.

Yes, we live in a remote area, and yet somehow there is a big enough population and the road we were on is very well traveled. The thing that really amazed me last night is that so many people drove by us and nobody else stopped! I was floored by that!

We have so much to do this weekend! I've got to get Travis busy on extra schoolwork he's got to do over the course of the year for an extra "degree" at the end of the year. He's really procrastinated and I've been flip-flopping as to whether I think he can actually pull it off and not knowing how hard to push him, but I think he's got to try. We need to clean up for Christmas and get the decorations out, and we need to plan out the schedule for the sort of home improvements we have in mind. Hopefully we will be productive.

We're supposed to get our tree later today.... did I tell you about this? I can't remember. I think I did. Short story -- friends from school have a tree farm and we're going there and they're having a sort of happy hour at the end of the day, so that's how we'll time it. She's the National Geographic photographer, and they go to Africa every summer, so we're all curious to see what treasures they have in their house -- I know Dylan thinks there are going to be live animals involved..... :D

Oh, and tomorrow I think I have to take Travis to see New Moon! How crazy is that?!

My kids are still asleep!!!

Doh! Forgot to mention my workout..... ok, I think I am getting psyched to get back into STS (the big dread factor at this point is the equipment involved! I remember thinking people were crazy complaining about that and what's the big deal, but now that I've not been doing that, I don't want to!). So...... in that thinking, I did a little bit of two dvds I just bought through Mary's sale since I probably won't get to them for a while..... Stephanie Vitarino (sp?) and Violet Zaki. I liked the Vitarino one -- it was somewhat intense and had some new moves with weights I've never seen. The Zaki one could probably go in the trade pile! It's more of a beginner workout, though she'd probably hate to hear that said. The funny thing is that Deazie is a background exerciser, and Violet kept talking about how Deazie is breathing hard and "don't quit, Deazie!" when they were using 5 pound weights. Hilarious!

::ahem:: Chris, your son is totally lazy. It's in my driveway...

Have no clue what I'm going to do today. HIS is on the rotation but I think since I have this nice day to myself for the most part I should put a longer cardio in. But I have a lot of cleaning and Joe is going to leave me soon so it's all going to be on me. I keep on thinking I can clean and talk to my mother at the same time but it never works out that way either! Ah we'll see.

Oh, and I'm definitely going to the SD trip. I just don't know who I can bring with me. Joe wants to come but the $299 tag made him wince but then he felt better when he knew that included food. (and he can clean clear out a buffet like no one!) I just want to know who else may come with me so I can plan the arrangements. If its just me and Joe and no Beth for example, I'm going to crash at my friend's place in La Jolla and Joe will probably work one day out of the SD office for the law firm he works at. If I have a couple friends come with me, we'll figure out something hotel wise. It's about a 2 hr trip from where I live to SD if I'm not speed-demoning down the I-5.

Kathy -- you need some CA sunshine! It's pretty gloomy right now but by 11a the sun will be out in its full glory.

Chris -- I need to stretch something out in my right inner thigh. Something about it has been really bugging me. I wonder if its my hip flexor or something....but I was thinking about paying some strong guy to massage it out of me while I laid down on a very comfortable table in a spa. East coast west coast thing, right?

Beth -- let me know about SD of course! I like Mexican food but I don't go to it anymore more because I don't think its worth the calories...which sucks because I really like mexican food. That's nice that you helped those people out on the road...but people don't stop on the road for anyone anymore...even a parking lot. Like I don't get mad at myself if I were alone in the evening helping out someone on the road, but if Joe's with me, yeah, we stop. Once there was this poor guy in a parking lot in the middle of the day that needed a jump and no one would even give him the time of day! Like treated him like he was a homeless person (with a car!). We gave him the jump (and then he pissed me off by saying how he was surprised that *I* -- little girl that I am -- knew how to do it) and it was like, wow, no one's going to help out anymore, eh? I know this sounds weird, but I never had this mentality until I came to LA. We had so many car problems or getting lost problems when we would travel to NYC and someone would always help us out rather quickly...sheesh.

But that's funny about Deazie! I always wonder if Cathe is faking it when she says something is tough (STOP SMILING SO MUCH IF ITS SO TOUGH!). I still haven't decided what kind of tree we're going to get if any...

Mmmm...I love saturday big breakfasts! Will check in later!

Ok..... some progress made. We went to the barn and sized up the gym job..... it seems like it could take a long time! So, I'm not counting on that happening (any time soon). Rats. It would make for a better environment in the house if we could do that. As it is the family room is sprawled with my stuff and the living room has never-used elliptical and stationary bike that Larry bought to get ready for ski season last year. I'd love to get them out of there! Oh well.

One project Travis has to do is a biographical sketch on a famous creative producer. He asked if he could do it on Larry, and the teacher's answer was "if you think he is a famous creative producer." So, the three of us spent a bunch of time going through stuff Larry has done so Travis could make notes. That's progress! He has to make a slideshow out of it.

A little laundry here, a lot of tossing there.... things are getting done. I'm procrastinating about the tree -- just hate the thought of getting out all the decorations and then having the cats and dog work to pull them all down......

Yes, I'm seriously considering the road trip -- right now I'd say yes. Seems like a good opportunity to work out with Cathe -- I will never go to her gym again -- that was just too long a trip for the weekend. It was fun to do once, but I don't need a repeat of seven hours in that airport because of storms!! I would fly down to SD -- it's a one hour flight, or about an eight hour car trip. I have a bunch of southwest vouchers, so no reason not to fly.....

I would not stop and help a man/men if I were on my own (unless I knew him), but with Larry there it was fine, though when we got out and I noticed there were four young guys I did wonder if we were crazy.... but..... their transmission was clearly laying on the road and they were in a really bad spot for getting hit, so we had to do something. Around here, it seems like people are usually very willing to stop and help, but maybe because it was dark they weren't. Who knows!

Back to the chores.....

Ohhhh I'm so sore! Beth!! it's all your fault! A LOT of it is my rib region, which is weird, because I not been sore there so much that I can remember.

I did do 20 Minute TJ, and then did Seg 1 of SM. That is THE best stretch ever, isn't it? I do wish I could have gotten the TV to do that other stretch, but the boys are mostly inside due to crappy weather.

Beth: Your day does sound very busy! It's so hard to motivate ME to motivate MY KIDS to do regular homework, never mind extra!! have fun with the tree and the tree happy hour!!! .... Omg.. I know that explosion was horrible. And there was one a town over a few years ago, and they guy had like 3rd degree burns over his ENTIRE body and was in Boston for MONTHS. I haven't heard anything new today. They did transfer him from our local little town hospital to the hospital where I work at (A Trama Center) in Springfield. .... Funny about Deazie in that workout! I had read she was in other workouts. She certainly has appeared to pick it up a little for STS! LOL!.

Hottie: HEY! Evee barked and so Zach just threw and ran! Mean doggy!.... I'm excited for you that you're going to the road trip in March!! $300 isn't TOO bad if all meals are included, really. And how many nights? 2? 3 days of food? You guys had BETTER take a TON of pictures!!!!!......Hope you find a good long fun cardio to do today!

Time to wake up the husband, so I can go for my hour nap!!! I swear it's like a drop in the bucket when I was up from 7am and have to stay up until 9am tomorrow... *sigh*

And to meet the hottiescientist in person. :p

Of course!!

Ok, Chris, where is my beer? Sorry you are so sore!

I am losing motivation for going to get the tree so rapidly! I really don't know that it's going to happen..... sad, because it would be fun to be included in the fun later, but I just feel so lazy. And, I'm thinking it might be better to have the tree up for the shortest amount of time possible!

Everyone has gone into reading mode and I can't motivate them to do anything now! I continue on my own......

Oh the day has left me already!

I ended up doing HIS + BM2 bonus cardio because I couldn't decide on what to do! So I did HIS and had a energy for a little more and did the bonus. I'll do my core work after electrolysis. I just got a redone manicure since the previous one chipped and the person guaranteed her work since she had to use a product she never used before. i thought she was just going to touch it up but she ended up spending ~1.5 hrs again on my hands. She's really good...I think I found my mani/pedi person.

Oh I just ate all of this one chocolate that a friend gave me. I think she's trying to make me fat but it was really good...

Home office/gym is almost done. We have to make a couple more decisions and we're done. it was a good project and Joe really likes it as well.

Off to figure out dinner!

Off to figure out dinner.

Happy Sunday! Where is everyone?

I was going to run this morning, but it was still dark at 6:30, so I did Mindy's bosu workout -- it was so hard! I felt so lame.... losing my balance, breathing so hard. Ug.

We didn't get a tree, we aren't ordering the couch..... I feel so overwhelmed and not getting anything done.... our internet's been hosed, so I'm at work printing out the STS cards -- yes, I'm going to start tomorrow -- and then Travis and I are going to see New Moon. I've got to get a boatload done when I get home.

Hope you're all having a nice dya!!

Hey Girls!

Sunday afternoon... blah blah blah. I guess it's better than Saturday afternoon! (for me, you guys understand, right?).

Work was actually EASY PEASY last night for me. It was very nice! I had 4 patients ALL night. that's it. And they weren't bad. My crazy lady that I call "Beaker" was so much better! She is mentally delayed, but was back to her regular (slower, but kind of cute) self. Amazing what radiation can do for brain tumors. *sigh*

Beth: Sounds like a frustrating "trying to get stuff done but can't" weekend. How did the extra school work go? HURRAY for STS tomorrow! Be careful of those pushups though, ok?. I bet your core will feel that Bosu tomorrow, huh? Hope you're enjoying the movie. Did Travis read the books or see the other movies? I have borrowed the first book I'm thinking of starting to read to see what all the hype is about.

Hottie: Nice cardio yesterday! And even nicer on the mani/pedi!!!

One more night! One more night!... I NEED to get a leg up on my Christmas shopping, I don't want to feel overwhelmed when it gets closer. AND i start MESO 3 this week!:eek:

I've been mulling around in my mind what I may do next. I think maybe a mish mosh of circuits and Full body workouts (for a

Hi Ladies..

Busy day..Church this morning and then we went to Vic's performance this afternoon. Just got home. Glad it was a rest day today...I don't know where I would have squeezed in a workout!

Ok, gotta go get dinner ready or I will have some hungry people pretty anger with me...

Hey! Back from the movie...... he's read all the books more than once, actually, and yes, saw the first movie too, though not in the theater. A very strange thing for a ten year old boy to like, if you ask me!

Yes, frustrating weekend.... I'm about to dive in and at least get some cleaning done. That'll feel like something. Totally understand why Sunday's better than Saturday -- glad last night was an easy night -- let's hope for the same tonight!

I need to get a leg up on the xmas shopping, too! When is that going to happen?! ;)

I kept thinking I'd be starting STS tomorrow, but just realized that tomorrow is a yoga day, so Tuesday it is. I'm glad, as I have some shoulder soreness from yesterday's workout. I'll be careful on the pushups -- truthfully I suspect I'll be doing them all on the bar, which is fine by me -- I feel it, for sure, and I know I can do a lot of those.

Off to the cleaning!
