Good morning ladies...

Checking in here with a very snowy day outside. It looks like we have about 10 inches so far and it is still coming down. So, we will be staying in today...We got our Christmas tree last night and decorated it. It looks great. I will try to take a photo with the kids later....

Workout today is the cardio premix from drill max and medicine ball abs. Then it is offically recovery week.

I still didn't get a shipping notice for the shock cardio DVDs. But, I am hoping that mine still went out and I will get it next week...

ok, I guess it is time to get this snowy day started..

Good Morning , Kathy!
And all to follow today....

Sounds like a LOT of people are getting a LOT of snow today! They predict we might avoid the brunt of it and get only 2-5 inches. I hope so! I have to drive to and from work tonight and in the morning!

Kathy: Enjoy your last official workout of STS rotation!!! I got my shipping notice, says it's supposed to arrive 12/22!!!! I'm very excited! What a cool Christmas gift...to myself, from myself! LOL! But I'm surprised you didn't get something, being on the east coast...????

I'm about to head downstairs and do a longer cardio. I NEED to move the Lindt Chocolate Balls i bought for the teachers, because yesterday I got into them more than once! I can't trust myself, I swear! I think I may do one of the Cathe's older step workouts, we'll see when I get there!

Oh, and I woke up with MAJOR DOMS in my triceps! Can't remember getting them as bad there before!!!!

BBL!

Both Evee and I are making funny grumbling sends this morning. Don't feel like doing much of anything but eventually cardio, cleaning house, tutoring, and lab. Bbl...

Good morning! Good day to stay inside, Kathy! 10 inches! Sheesh! Chris, I hope your drive to and from work is ok!

I did a kettlebell workout this morning -- could not face tacking on any barre work. Not so much soreness but everyone is up! I was awake a whole bunch in the middle of the night, so when I finally went back to sleep, I stayed there! Dylan woke me up at least three times, I think. He seems ok, but definitely has that barking seal cough.

We got our tree up yesterday, too, Kathy. Travis and Larry finally went out without Dylan and me, because Dylan didn't feel up to it and didn't mind missing. They picked out a good one. Travis is beginning to have a good sense of humor because when they were leaving I said "pick out a good one" and he said "yeah, we'll get one of those nice metal ones." without missing a beat. They did not go to the friends' xmas tree farm, but went to the one next to the school. It's an experience doing a long drive to some xmas tree farm, but.... it's also kind of cool getting a tree where the cross country meets are held. :D

Not sure exactly what's on the agenda today other than getting the cats to the vet in the afternoon. Have a good one! Snap to it, Hottie! ;) Joanne, not sure you'll be here this weekend with the services, but I'm thinking about you.

HI ladies..

It is still snowing...It looks like about 16" now and it is still pouring out of the sky. I haven't gotten to my cardio yet. Vic is using the tv where I workout to watch news about the snow. I may just hop on the elliptical today to get cardio in...

Hey Girls...

I ended up doing Rhythmic Step! I must have not done this one in a LONG time, because it took me awhile to get some of those moves and I had gotten them down pat before! (most notably the 3 knee/kick/back foot , straddle, over the step, foot touch, into the tick tock, cha cha over the step move!!!). But I got in a good hearty sweat for 60 minutes! YAY!

Hottie: You are NOT a morning person, are you? LOL! What's your workout today?which cardio? or are you into recovery week? What will you do next, do you know?

Beth: YAY! for getting the tree up!!! Just In the knick of time! Will you keep it up after new years anyways? Your boys ARE too funny! Love the tu tu comment too from yesterday!!. ... I'm having weird sleep too, since greg is home and I don't have to get up for Zach's sugars! I'm finding myself wake up after about 4 hours sleep and being WIDE awake! . I had some FUNKY dreams last night though. I dreamed we lived in a loftier house (lots of high beams) and we had a BAT in the house! the kitties were chasing it!...And an OLD friend I haven't seen in years (but we exchanged Christmas cards) was over, and she changed professions from an RN to a teacher. It was so weird. I'm going to have to look up what bats mean in dreams. ..... Glad you got your KB workout in!!! what do you take the cats to the vet for? Ours are indoor cats, and I really don't see the point in taking them there. But I always debate it in my mind too.

Thinking of you Joanne! *Waves* to Vilma too!!!

Oh my gosh, Kathy! Let it snow.....

Chris, I'm very impressed with you remembering the steps well enough to write them here! I think that's why I'll never be a complex choreography girl.... I have to get it immediately because it flies out of my brain immediately!

I had strange dreams, too! With animals! Turns out we had these dangerous little dragon/lizards living in our house, and then we also discovered very young teeny tiny mountain lions living in the house! I wanted Larry to kill them but he thought they were cute. What does that mean?! :D

The kittens have to go to the vet only because they are still young and haven't had all their shots. Since we have to board them over NY, the vet needs them to be current with shots.

Oh, and I'll probably still take the tree down before NY -- I just can't stand having them up very long after xmas, even though we put it up late.

Ok, and now, the bummer..... there was a thread on vf forum about Cathe's SD RT and how expensive it is and what a luxury blah blah, and they are all right and I'm feeling very guilty now about spending the money and taking the time away from the family. Ug! Sigh....

Ok, we are going to finally have some breakfast and then all head up to the work shop for a project.

Beth -- stop that right now!!! the RT will be fun, you deserve it, and you get to meet ME!!!!!!!! ME!!!!! Let me say that again -- ME!!!! Now, seriously, don't make me feel bad too! This is how sad we are -- this is going to our vacation. This is the first time we've gone to a place for PLEASURE since our honeymoon. So, we're going to enjoy it!

Chris -- You know, I am and I'm not a morning person. I get up and I do a ton of house chores but lately, just groaning. It was pretty funny this morning because Evee and I were in sync mumbling (though, she has that high pitched squeal thing that dogs do). It's still hard for me to exercise. I actually think I'm going to back off on cardio because I'm still a little sore (that's why I did STS yesterday). Part of me knows that if I get my blood flowing it'll be good, but part of me knows not to push it. I'm also thinking about doing IM3 tomorrow so we'll see...I'll do something just something light. Recovery week and anxiously waiting for Shock Cardio...

Kathy --- SNOW!!!!!!!!! Though I never enjoyed shoveling that much...

Off to not eat cleanly...

Beth: Enjoy the RT..Don't feel guilty about it. I am sure you don't do this sort of entertainment often. Have fun!! And take pictures so we can enjoy them through you

Good morning! Are our east coast girls buried in snow? How is it?

I've not worked out yet! I had it in my mind to go for a run, but I'm not sure I'm up to it. So, I'm waiting to see if I get up to it or maybe we'll all just go for a walk.

My shock cardio looks like it won't be here til the 29th, which probably means the 30th at least. Oh well.

Don't have much going on today though Travis and I may go to some sort of caroling thing later (maybe Dylan, too, though he was not well last night).

Have a great day!

Hi ladies...

Well, we shoveled out enough to get to church. But, the roads were not very good. We will be happy to stay home the rest of the day. We thankfully have a light week and don't have to be anywhere this coming week. So, the kids and I will probably be staying home this week preparing for Christmas....

Today is a rest day for me....

Kathy, rest and staying in sound good, given the circumstances! Thanks for the positive thoughts on the RT -- I realized that even though I know I'll feel guilty being away from the family, the few times I have been gone and left Larry in charge with the kids it's been a good experience for all of them, so I have to keep that in mind.

Did you guys see the circuit blast clip? I didn't even get through the whole clip but I'll tell you what I was thinking... I'll never get through this found of STS because I'll bet anything Cathe comes up with a really cool rotation combining them. We'll see! It is amazing how quickly you work your way through it, but when you think about it it seems like it could take "forever". When this winter break is done, I'll be through meso 1 already! (so, just about by the time I get shock cardio).

Board games and chores here..... getting a fair bit done -- feels good.

Hey girls!

We lucked out big time, got around an inch of snow!!! that's it! but it is BITTERLY cold today, with gusting wind and blowing that 1 inch of snow around like the tundra , I swear. Ick!

Work was "ok" . I had looked up the bat dream, and was worried that it had such negative connotations (death!). (Or it could have a more literal meaning: you're feeling batty/crazy). Anyways, a friend of mine's brother died the same night I had the dream, and then last night, I had a patient that died (89 yr old woman that was supposed to die). So I've had my share of death, I'm done, already!!

A friend at work shared this book that she had read with me. It's called, "29 Gifts". It's written by a woman who was diagnosed with MS. She was so down on herself and her life. Someone suggested she give a "gift" away to someone/anyone for 29 consecutive days. The gift could be of monetary value, or something like a nice gesture or words to anyone. She ended up doing it, and found that her entire outlook changed, and she felt so different, in a GOOD way. She says, when she starts feeling down, she starts doing this, and it lifts her up! Pretty cool, huh? I was thinking of trying it. You have to do it 29 days IN A ROW, and if you miss a day, you have to start all over...

Kathy: I'm so not jealous of your snowed-in status! But I bet it's very pretty to look at!

Beth: Sorry you're having second thoughts on the RT. You shouldn't!! Just enjoy the whole thing!! It's good for the kids to have alone time with their day!!! And YOU GET TO MEET HOTTIE!!!

Hottie: "You blinded me with science..." Hope you had a productive SUnday!

Oh I don't want to go out in the COLD!!!

Chris, that book sounds very cool! I think I'll look for it. There's a few different ones I'm wanting from the library.....

Stay warm -- it sounds miserable for going out!

::hiccup::

I've been doing that all day. No workout. Lost of work. Even got Evee groomed. But hiccuping all day. It's driving me insane! Hope to hit it hard tomorrow...
