Good morning ladies..

Getting us started for the weekend...Today is Imax 2 for me. I like that one. So, I am looking forward to that workout. Then later I am going to try and get my Christmas shopping done for my neice so I can mail it out..

Ok, time to get to that workout..

Morning! Waiting for your Kathy! been up since 4 but just rolling around in bed until I could convince Joe to make me breakfast (I get breakfast on Saturdays). It's a busy day...I have marriage counseling (first one) today and a new student to tutor and i want to get in 4DS LIS and Plyo Legs in. We'll see how I do. Kathy -- I'll be doing IM2 on Monday if all goes well...

Hi Kathy... and all to follow...

I'm still not feeling great. Not sure what it is. It's actually not my typical headache. It doesn't get worse when I lay down/sleep. But it's making my head foggy and I just feel crappy all over. Debating on whether I'll make it to work tonight. I know last time I went to work with a headache, it only got worse, and then there was no way I could go home. .... it's a tough decision, we'll see. Maybe I'll feel better...

Kathy: IM2! Yay! Always enjoyable. I haven't done that one in forever!

Beth: Saw your post from last night. Hope you don't lose power. It's like you and I are having a power-outage contest this month! Good to hear your fighting off the icky bug!! ... Hope you got a good nights sleep and feel refreshed today!

to Hottie, Joanne and Vilma!!

Hi everyone..

Just finished up IMAX2. NOw it is shower time!

Hottie: Sounds like a good workout today with LIS and plyo legs. I think you will be worn out when your done. Good for you with hubby making breakfast. I usually do that. But, I don't really mind. I like to cook. It is the clean up I don't like!

Chris: I do hope your headache gets better before work tonight. Sending you cyber hugs!!!

Hi Beth and Joanne and anyone to follow..

Good morning!! Happy Saturday. Chris, I hope you start feeling better -- but either way, I hope you're able to make the right call on going to work or not. I can imagine it's impossible to leave once you're there. Yes, thank you for that prescription! ;) I'm coughing a bit, but honestly I feel like I really escaped something.

I had a great workout. Did half an hour of kettlebells, then a bunch of barre work, and I capped it off with ME's ab and stretch. I really liked that kettlebell/barre combo. I am feeling STS sore, ladies! Do you remember how it felt when you first started? That's me! It's odd how it's not quite the usual doms -- just a sort of deeper sore or something.

I've got to hop into the shower and get that hair started drying for the play. I'm just hoping they don't lose power for the play this weekend -- they have four shows -- one last night, two today, and one tomorrow. Those kids (and parents!) have worked so hard on this! We have rain, but no hail and nothing major so far.

Imax 2 -- so fun! I do think that is my favorite Cathe cardio.

Waves to Joanne and Vilma!

Oh Beth!! I do remember that beginning STS sore....WOW!! Hope the power stays on for the play times!!! Feel better too with that cough..

hey guys -- I have some DOMS in my back and my chest...going to wait until after tutoring to do my workout...keep me honest and make sure I do it! :)

Kathy -- yeah, I instituted it a while back. I tend to make 90% of the meals so it's nice to look forward to potatoes, eggs, and toast on Saturday.

Chris -- I have a lingering headache too. I was going to pop in something for sinus congestion to see if its that...

Beth -- sore is good!

Hey girls...

I decided not to go in. Tough decision, but I feel lightheaded and dizzy with a dull pressure in my forehead. And my usual VERY healthy/hearty appetite is crappy. THAT'S when I know I'm sick. I'll probably get "talked to" about my sick time. But it is what it is, and I don't want to go in and #1, feel sicker, or #2. give this to any of my sick patients.

Kathy: I lived vicariously through you today doing IMAX 2. I wish I could have! Maybe I'll feel like something tomorrow? I hope I'm better! I AM going to go to work, I AM!!! (talking to myself here, sorry!).

Beth: Glad you're fighting that bug and coming out on top! Sounds like a great workout today. HEY!!! I got LALO 2 today!!!! I watched another clip on Mary's site.OMG, that boy is a hot mess!.. I really want to do Lalo so bad (yes, I said that!) , but don't see me doing him (it) during STS. What do you think? Hope your weather holds out and the play is fun WITH power!!

Hottie: How did the counseling go? It's good you're both going, I'm glad you are. It gives you some direction. ((hugs)). Hope you get in a good workout! It always makes you feel better, doesn't it? ... I swear, I get so sick of trying "pills" for my headache and nothing works. I've stopped. They either dont' work or they make me feel MORE lightheaded and dizzy(er). SO what's the use? *sigh*

Off to throw something quick for the boys for supper..... I have a nice soup in the crockpot for Greg and me, but they won't eat that.

Hi ladies..

Chris: Hope you had a good night at work and the headache didn't get any worse..

Checking in today with a rest day and it is raining so no walk with the family. Maybe some movies and reading today!!

Hey Girls...

Oh, I didn't end up going to work, Kathy. So it was a GREAT night at work for me last night! LOL!

I feel better this morning, no nausea, my head is still a bit foggy. I tried to do some cardio. Tried the blast only premix from Low Max. I did the warm up,... did "ok", did first blast, "ok, a little dizzy", blast #2, "oh I feel like puking". I stopped, cooled down, did the stretch from LM, and then did 20 minutes of Yoga Flex from Kathy Smith's Project You.

I am going to work tonight, though. Lightheaded or not. I feel crappy I couldn't go last night. Pissed at myself, really. Why can't I get this shit during the week, when I'm NOT supposed to work??

Kathy: enjoy your rainy day of reading and snuggling! We're supposed to get rain tonight, starting out as a little snow.

Another thing that makes me . I ordered the fixit scratch thingie from the infomercial. You know how they said it was $19.95 + shipping and handling? Well the damn website had me on there for 15 minutes refusing offer after additional offer. In the end, I ended up paying $53 for the freakin thing!! Because the S&H was HUGE! I'm so annoyed at that. And I never got a confirmation email for it either. Probably got swindled. BUT, it was one of the FEW things that Greg wanted for Christmas. *sigh*

Good morning! Chris, sorry you're feeling bad about not going to work, and yet still feeling bad! I hope it gets better during the day so you can go in and have a good night at work.

What is a fixit scratch thingie? See what I miss without tv? I hate it when they tease you with stuff like that!

Yes, Kathy, enjoy your day -- we have rain here, too, but I'm afraid we have more chores than snuggles! We'll see.

I did get out in the rain for a run this morning. It was sort of drizzly, sort of rainy. Not bad to be out in and I managed a 40ish minute run without cardio coach -- I just didn't want anything in my ear. The strange thing was that it was still dark like night-time, even at 7:00 -- just so cloudy and foggy I guess. Anyway, it was nice to hear the creeks and the deer running away, and whatnot. It was about 45, so no exhilarating cold run for me yet, Chris! :) I came in and stretched and I really should do some ab work but I really don't want to (perhaps because everyone is up and running around).

We did lose power yesterday, but it was out short enough that our computers stayed up by UPS, so something less than a half hour. The play was really cute -- those kids (and adults of course) did a fantastic job.

Hottie, how are those slanted risers, eh? ;)

Waves to Joanne.... thinking about you. I was reminded of your hair solution for workouts when Larry saw me with the hair band for the first time yesterday and he said "I'm not wild about the hair band." and I said "well, it's not really for your benefit.... it's just to keep the hair out of my eyes when I work out." Sheesh! :D

Chris, p.s., for working in Lalo...... this first week I did do STS three days in a row so I could then do a cardio day then kettlebell. You could probably do that with Lalo. I know it's not what Cathe prescribed, but.... as I recall, there was a decent cardio factor with the first lalo, and I heard there's even more in this second one. Something to think about. I'm going to keep with this kind of schedule for meso 1 anyway, because I like having the kettlebell day.

Ohh, that feels good. Yesterday, I choked around 65% through Plyo Legs. Just too pooped and my legs were shaking. Counted it anyway :). Today LIS + BM2 Bonus Cardio + Evee walk with the weighted vest + Disc 33. I feel awesome!! I've definitely gotten stronger...now I just wish the belly flab would go away.

Beth -- the weather is amazing now it stopped raining. First, water heater isn't turning off which is a plus. Second, it's that clean air that happens when everyone is too afraid to drive outside. The mountains right to the north of me are snow capped -- just gorgeous. Sun is shining...days like this remind me why I love living here. Slanted risers are going to be used tomorrow...very excited not to be scared in the next disc. I'm almost done!!

Chris -- I've been having the same lingering headache for days now too. Cardio is the only thing that clears it up which is partly why I've been adding it. I'm sorry about the product. Are you talking about this one? http://www.walgreens.com/store/cata...frgl_498906&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=sku5779390

Kathy -- enjoy your day! I think I'll try to do IM2 tomorrow.

I may not be on tomorrow...I don't know if I can even work out. I have that evil experiment that requires me standing for about 7+ hrs and shuffling in and out of a cold room with very little down time. Just to let you guys know. Joanne -- I'm thinking of you!

Off to work in a few. Snow, freezing rain/ice, now rain. Going to have to leave early, the roads are a mess.

But I am "back to normal". Eating fine (too fine) and no headache. Not sure if I could tolerate a cardio workout now, before it made me feel sick. I guess we didnt' have the same headache, Hottie. OMG, that IS the stuff! Well , for$53 I get 2 tubes, a tube to fix INDOOR boo boo's, and a vacuum. So maybe it wasn't a totally bad deal, since that one tube at Walgreens is $10? I need to make myself feel better, so humor me!...

Beth: I'm jealous of you running in the rain! Good for YOU!

Hottie: You did SO much in 2 days!! You are amazing to have the stamina and will to do all of that!! Have fun with your slanted risers tomorrow!

ooops gotta run, it's getting late...

see you all tomorrow..
