Good morning ladies..

Today I finish STS, except for my recovery week next week. But, today I do shoulders, biceps & triceps...

I am also thrilled that the shipping is starting today for the shock cardio series. I can do those next week and try them out. YEAH....

ok, time to get the kids going!!

Hi Girls!

11.gif

So excited about Shock Cardio too!!! It will be fun to throw in a few of them in the next 2-3 weeks in Meso 3!

Today I do DISC 30, Shoulders Triceps and Biceps. I know it's going to be tough!

Trying to start a bit early. Another busy day today. The worst thing about busy is , that time flies WAY too fast, and I just don't get things done.

Kathy: CONGRATS on finishing ROUND 2 of STS!!!! Isn't it crazy how fast THAT time goes too?? Do you see any results this time around? Any difference in doing the heavy leg weights in Meso 3 instead of plyo?

Beth: Oh yes! I knew you did KM drills! My brain was mush yesterday! Well, KCM wasn't as INTENSE as Cathe , I think mostly in the fact that the workout was only a little over 30 minutes. But I think i put more "oomph" into yesterday, jumped higher and more. That makes a big difference too.

Planning on starting my workout earlier, and then grocery shopping, and then home to put them away, do laundry, try to do my work Validation , and then to Jake's school to help out at 1p. Do papers with Zach at 3:30p. Supper, etc etc etc... The day is going to FLY!

I still have Christmas shopping and ALL my wrapping to do. it'll get done, right?

Thanks Chris...I do feel I got a little bit stronger. I can tell in the upper body because that is my weak area. I can remember the 25s being almost impossible to do chest presses with and now it is tougher but I can do it! I am so happy about that. I also did loose a couple of pounds this round. I keep going up and down. But, my up and down numbers are a little lower. I am hoping the cardio series will help me to shed a few more. That and being good during the holidays. I am trying not to bake too much. None of us need that.! I still like the plyo legs better. But, I was thrilled with the weight I used in the leg workout. I probably could have gone a little heavier. But, I couldn't get it up and on my shoulder. Maybe I need that 20 pound vest!? Next time I tackle STS, I will probably do the plyo legs again.. I still have a little shopping left too. Hopefully this weekend I will be able to do that. We are suppose to get alot of snow tomorrow. Are you?

Hello and Happy Friday!!!

Whooo-hooo, Kathy! Wow! When I wrote on my calendar this morning and saw I have finally come to the end of all my erroneous STS entries I realized you would be done. Congrats! It does go crazy fast, Chris, doesn't it?

Chris, how was the freezing paper delivery yesterday? Did you go, too? Brrrr! Good luck with shopping and wrapping. I have wrapped nothing yet -- wanted to do some at work yesterday but I couldn't find any scissors! Today, hopefully, though I have a very busy work day and it's short, too. Your kids go through the 23rd?! That's nuts, isn't it? When do they go back? We're back on the 4th, or whatever that Monday is.

Love your Snoopy tree!

I did STS legs today -- whooo I'm gonna' be sore! Last week I did mostly body weight and it just didn't seem enough, so today I put the weights back in and after sort of starting out sore, well, I'm going to feel it! And I wanted to do kbell/barre tomorrow -- not sure that's going to happen!

We pick up the kids at noonthirty today and then go get the tree, finally. Hope it doesn't rain! The kids said to me yesterday "where are the presents, anyway?" and I asked them what they meant, Santa brings them, and they said "well there hasn't been anything in the back of the cars -- you'd better get going on it." I think for Travis the gig is definitely up. Dylan's probably going to figure it out this year. Anyway, it's funny that they are worried that nothing's been in the car.

Off to the races! Waves to Joanne, Hottie, and Vilma!

Hi ladies!! My workouts have been sporadic, and my weight is showing it, but I'm trying to get back into the swing of things. Today I did Amy's Kickbox Surge, but only about 40 minutes. I just needed something fun and sweaty. Did something yesterday, but can't remember what!

Wow, you all are doing great with STS! I, too, am very excited about the new DVDs shipping. I may just wrap them up and put them under the tree for myself!

I have no wrapping done yet either. I've been going crazy trying to catch up on Christmas stuff. I hope I can find everything I've bought. Still have to get four or five things. I realized last night that I needed to get teacher gifts since today is the last day of school. So, I did that last night.

Beth, that's so funny about the kids saying nothing has been the back of the car! The gig is definitely up for Jameson, Ian and I'm 95% sure Colin. Caitlyn still believes, I think. It does make it a bit easier, not having to be so secretive.

Chris, sounds like a very busy day!! Yes, it will all get done - it always does. Although I think we could use a few elfs. ;)

My mom seems to be doing OK. My aunt left yesterday and my mom said she had a nice quiet day and was able to take care of lots of phone calls and stuff she needed to do. I think the holidays will be tough for her, so we're trying to convince her to come stay over with us on Christmas eve so she'll be there Christmas morning.

Off to do some work...

Joanne

Hi Joanne! Good workout. I know what you mean about the weight -- I can't seem to stop eating sweets and I know the weight is creeping.

The holidays will be tough this year -- I hope you can convince your mom to come stay with you guys -- kids have a way of being distracting, don't they? I imagine she may be in a bit of a surrealistic fog this year (you, too), and the kids' Christmas excitement could help be a bit grounding, or something.

good luck with the shopping and snow, ladies!

Oops, my day has been tossed upside down..... Dylan's got a fever! No work, no package wrapping..... have no idea how I'll get that done.... somehow, I will!

Hey girls -- it's been a busy start to friday. I'm doing a "going in late" thing again since Joe has another holiday party that won't be over until 8ish. But this morning has been spent on doing the more disgusting things...mostly, Joe forgot to take the trash out last night so he put the can outside while I was searching around the house to fill it...including the famed evee poop and stuff in the refrigerator I told him to throw out weeks ago.

I'm up for cardio today...it says KB but I'm not sure if I'm up to that but I'll figure it out. My scapular area of my back is hurting a bit so I'm trying to lay off of it. I'll finish STS tomorrow. Just in time for Shock Cardio (if I get it...I'm like 2000 and something).

I don't wrap anything! It's only me and Joe and I send stuff to other people and never pay for wrapping. I count the box as wrapping.

Oh the weekend can't hurry enough -- I'm going into work tomorrow and I tutor (but that's at home) but I want to lay around and do little projects and chill. I have to get one more present but I'll be doing that locally.

Kathy -- woot! I'll be there tomorrow! I definitely feel like I've gone stronger...particularly in my back.

Chris -- go you! Hope you get everything done to start a good weekend!

Beth -- how fun about the tree! I learned about "reality" when I was in the 2nd grade because "Santa Claus" left me a note telling me that I needed to be a good girl like my sister. Never really forgot that!

Joanne -- I'm glad your mom is doing better and I hope she stays with you. We all are thinking about you!

Off to do some more cleaning before a cardio sweatfest...

Hi ladies.

Hottie, I meant to thank you for looking up the Barbie Glamour Camper info. I actually had seen that Walmart info, but the one that said it was in stock is pretty far from me and I didn't have the time to go over there. The one I ordered is scheduled to be delivered Monday. There is limited availability at a Walmart closer to me, if I have time I may stop in and see if they have it. Then I can return the overpriced one. I'll keep you in mind for any future shopping assistance! Can you find a Ratchet and Clank Up Your Arsenal PS2 game?? ;) I found out last night my nephew wants it and I have him in the grabbag. It's an old game. I found one online, but to get it to me in time would be about $50!!! Not happening! Are you finishing the entire STS rotation tomorrow? Wow, that was quick!

Beth, sorry to hear Dylan is sick! :( Hopefully he recovers quickly.

OK, something weird happened the day my dad died and I haven't really told anyone. Not sure why, but it's actually kind of cool. Me and my mom were still at the hospital after he died. DH came home and he told me there was a white dove on our front porch. I had heard something about seeing white doves after someone dies, but didn't think too much about it. I finally researched it a bit and some people say it symbolizes peace and sometimes people see them after death. I guess it's thought that the deceased person sends it as a way of saying not to worry, they are at peace. Wow.

Off to lunch....

Joanne

Wow, Joanne.... shivers and tears all in one moment at the white dove. That is cool. I read an amazing story about a bird like that one time -- a true story that is. I cannot remember the source of it, but it was very cool! He is at peace now.

Got my shipping notice! Unless it's just for my calendar! I've not been super excited until this moment. Be nice to have some new Cathe! I hope they'll ship the calendar with it......

Just finished up STS! Wow! I'm glad I decided not to do cardio and do STS instead. I'm done! I did it! Woot! Now I'm going off to walk Evee...

Hey what number were you Beth? I keep on hoping they're going really fast...

Hi again....

15.gif

A little break. I debated on whether I'd have time to bake some cookies (in an hour and half) and think I just have time to play on the computer and eat Lindts Balls! :p:). I've actually been pretty good with my eating (for me) and like you, Kathy, my weight is up and down, but up and down a few lbs lower! I just have to keep myself in check. Work should be hard! Actually right now should be hard. I dread baking cookies, I'm certain to eat them (or the dough).

Classroom help went ok, though Jake's teacher took me aside and told me Jake's been awfully restless this week. Had to be spoken to SEVERAL times about his talking and moving out of his seat. *sigh*.

Oh I did DISC 30 too. It just seemed like it took forever, since I had so much on my "to do" list, I wanted her to "hurry up"! My right arm was noticably weaker today, esp. on triceps. I felt some shoulder thing going on when I had my arm over my head in extensions.

Kathy: I see upper body definition in me too! Kind of like the first time. I wished I knew how to maintain it, because to me, it seemed to have disappeared stopping STS. I wonder if I should continue to lift heavy? .... It's great you got to try the heavy leg option on Meso 3! Maybe I will some day?... We're iffy with the snow storm here. It's either hit or miss Saturday night. Right now, they're saying a "miss", but usually when they do, we get slammed!

beth: Oh wait until that lower body DOMS sets in! Good stuff! :p. I hope you still get to go find your tree!! Sucks that Dylan has a fever! Hopefully it's just a quickie 24 hour bug!!! Keep everyone clear of him!! Dininfect!!.... That is too funny about the presents. My 10 and 8 yr old still believe. Well, Alex, (10), says to me, "I believe in Santa, because if I don't, he won't come, right?" Smart kid! Jake just believes. I never TOLD Zach, but he had his doubts and now his reading class is responding to Santa Letters from the 2nd grade, he's sure of it. I wonder... should HE still get a present from Santa? He didnt' go visit Santa, and didn't ask him for anything... You know, i always end up wrapping the 2 days before Christmas.

Hottie
: That's sad about the Santa note! I try very hard not to compare my boys or tell them they should be like the other. (sometimes I slip, though). YAY for finishing STS! now you just have fun cardio to do!!! I'm supre impressed you made up all those workouts!!! You see more definition in your upper body?.... ICK about the trash and Evee poo...

Joanne: OMG, that is so touching about the dove. Wow. I love things like that. What a sense of peace you must have. Did you tell your mom? My mom has stayed over our house EVERY Christmas eve since my dad died (1988!). I hope your mom says yes (make her!!)> I agree with Beth, kids provide a HUGE distraction to how sad we could be. ... It must feel good to do your workouts. Kind of like getting something "normal" in , and always feeling great when we do something!

Oh, and I did do my work Validation packet (shhhhh! One of my friends copied hers, and all I had to do was change some words). But I feel good, since I've procrastinated on that for a LONG time. ...

I should have started cookies. Tonight for supper, I'm making the boys Egg Nog French Toast (you dip the bread in egg nog, I bought cinnamon). Evil, huh? I'm goign to TRY to have leftover soup and salad.....

#21061 -- think that means it's just my calendar?!

Congrats on finishing STS, Hottie! Amazing, isn't it? And yes, I meant to ask you about that Santa note.... so you got no presents?! You must have been hella' bad, girl!!! I try not to compare/contrast my boys, too -- it's easy in some ways, since they are so different, but it's also so difficult since they are so different! :)

Chris and Kathy, good for you for the ups and downs being lower!!! Woot! I think "maintenance" definitely means up and down. Chris, I always forget that our boys are the same age -- 8 and 10. Somehow I always think we're a little skewed, but no! I think you should tell the teachers "of course he's wrestless -- Christmas is a week away -- what are you thinking having school next week?!" How do you think that'd go over? :D

I can't even imagine what a "Validation packet" is!

Poor Dylan..... I went out there and he was laying on the hardwood floor in front of the wood burning stove! Didn't have a pillow or anything! I hate to have to drag him out to go pick up Travis, but I must.....

Chris, the good thing about all this craziness for me has not having had the time to make cookies. I probably eat more than anyone else. :( So, I may make one or two batches over the weekend, but that's it. You know, Jake's probably just restless with the break coming up. He'll probably be more focused after with a little time off school. I asked Jameson last night when he stopped believing in Santa. He told me it's been awhile but it was fun imagining he was real, so he didn't want to stop believing. I always put from Santa on all the kids gifts, even after they stop believing. Except when we gave them something big like the Wii system. We want to get credit for that! ;) I did tell my mom about the dove, but I don't think she really got the significance. I'm going to mention it to her again. Mmmm - egg nog french toast - my kids would LOVE that! I don't like egg nog, but they all fight over it when we have some - they love it.

Hottie, that is sad about the Santa note. Did your mom or sister write it? Thanks for your sleuthing! The first link is on backorder - it doesn't tell you till you put it in your cart. The second one would be $25 for shipping to get here in time. He said he'd like a Borders gift card, too, so I may do that.

Beth, ooooh, shipping notice!! Yea!! Yes, please tell us what number you were. I'm in the 700's.

BBL...I'm sure!

Joanne

No, I got presents but I learned the combination of Catholic plus Hindu guilt (stopped going to Catholic school the year before) -- "do you think you deserve to play with that present?" like every time I picked it up later. It was my mother's way of getting me in line. My sister and her were a lot more alike so it was always a bit of struggle growing up and trying to figure out who I was and like me (still working at it); and my sister was freaking perfect too for the longest time. Re: comparing -- I totally understand it when kids are close in age but I never got why when there were almost five years between the two of us we had so much comparison. Even my sister fought against it but my mother really knew no other way of communicating with me since my sister and her were so close. I'm generally ok with it now but man, a fuse just blows when I see my mom do it to my nieces. Ah well!

I hope its not your calendar and Shock Cardio! I keep on checking email but nothing...but I keep on crossing my fingers.

Ok, going to shove some food down my throat, shower, and then head off to work. Though I totally don't feel like going!

Hi ladies..

I haven't gotten a shipping notice yet either. My order # was 886...So, maybe later...

Anyway, quick pop in here. I think Vic is going to take the kids tonight to get the tree since it is suppose to be snowing ALOT tomorrow. They say we will probably get between 10-12 or more inches of snow! We will be inside tomorrow for sure!

Joanne: I was reading your post about the dove and was really moved by that...Hugs to you. It is hard to loose someone at the holidays...

Hottie: Glad you enjoyed your last STS workout. I have got that cardio tomorrow and then recovery week which will be cardio. What are you going to do for the rest of the month?
