December 09 Check in Christmas Weekend********

Nope, couldn't do it -- too much congestion in my chest. Got into about 20 minutes. Cardio wise or even complexity wise I was fine but just started hacking and couldn't stop. Oh well. Hopefully, it loosened up the mucus and I'll be better off soon. I think I can get Step moves done relatively quickly -- I just can't seem to coordinate my claps though!

Chris -- CELLULITIS OF THE SCROTUM!?!? EWWWW!! That's cool about the continuous glucose monitoring -- you had mentioned it before. let us know how it goes, I'm curious. The money thing sorta cheered me up. My tutoring money really did help and we have at least 1 if not 3 students regularly set up for the next term so that's an extra pad of income that we can rely on. But the real hope is that with the new fiscal year reset, Joe's OT will come back, but if not we can manage. It's been unusually stressful this year because Joe has such a hands of approach of our finances -- he just assumes I'll take care of everything, and I do, but for him, not too much has changed financially but my stress level (but his spending habits haven't changed that much because I stressfully deal with the finances!). But with the worst house expenses out of the way, I can breathe a little easier. Did you guys ever figure out what you were going to do this year? Will you be looking at other places?

hahahahaha -- I'm making Joe do Step Moves right now...it's really cheering me up...he's awful....LOLOLOLOL

Hey everyone...

Busy day...I haven't had a chance to get on here and chat...I didn't get a chance to workout today. So a rest day today...Tomorrow I will get back at it..

Chris: I think that the 40/20 is tough. I think it is equally as tough as CCC..Give a try. I am curious what you think about it. I am sure the other 2 Hiits are comparative to it...

Ok, gotta go...Good to read about everyone's days..Sorry I can't chat some more. Maybe later. Gotta get dinner going!!

Did you guys see that someone did all the HIIT workouts in one "sitting"?! That's insanity, from what I'm reading.....

Hottie, you need some hot tea! Sorry the coughing got you. Oh, and that zune sounds cool -- I'd love that radio piece of it. I mentioned something about it to Larry and he said "we're not getting that crap!" because he hates microsoft more than anything. The xbox doesn't really say microsoft on it anywhere, either, and Larry didn't realize and now he hates it even more (since he found out about the microsoft piece).

Yeah, it's really strange (and hugely disappointing) about my shoulder. I don't think it'd doms. I'm going to take it easy for a while and see what happens. Darn.... 3/4 the way through meso 1! I had it all planned to finish it up before heading out of town for NY but I may have to skip it -- we'll see.

That is really TMI about that patient, but fascinating, too. It's so bizarre what our bodies can do, isn't it? Very cool about the new monitoring device -- I hope the training goes well.

We're just back from Best Buy. We have entered the modern age with some flat screen tv and a blue ray player. I'm not sure anyone is actually served by the HD stuff. :) Some of those close ups are scary!! But, I did see DJ Hero there -- oh, and the Tony Hawk thing, too.

My 2010 Cathe calendar showed up before shock cardio. It came in yesterday's mail, which I told you I forgot to pick up, so it sat outside in the rain all night. It's mostly ok, but it did feel a little damp.

Oh, do I fret about the cleaning? It all depends on who the guests are. In some ways, we just have so much stuff, and Larry has crazy stuff all over this house, that I just cannot sweat it. I do at least try to clean up but the bottom line is that people see the way we live. Some people I'm really fine with them seeing that, and others I'm embarrassed. Funny how it works, isn't it? I would hope that with family you don't have to sweat it too much.

Beth -- that's too funny about Larry and Microsoft. I know too many people like that thought! (all programmers) But what's funny is that I refused to get the original Xbox because it was made by Microsoft -- I used to say, why should I dump another hundred dollars to get BSOD on my TV? But I relented when there was this guy in the year above me -- just a freaking Mech and EE genius who was recruited right out of Caltech to work on the Xbox 360 team and I figured he would do something right with Microsoft. (And I was too upset with Sony with their ridiculous choices and pricing on the PS3.) I love the 360 -- we have been using it more than the Wii lately. I love the radio part of the Zune HD too...Apple JUST decided to put an FM radio in their latest nanos...it's like -- how many generations did that take you? But that HD radio part -- Joe can't always hear the quality but I can...but hey, that's why I wanted the more uber music thing because I just love to listen...(and talk talk talk talk talk....)

Oh tomorrow can't be Monday?!?! I've been sick for so long I can't tell when is what! But Joe and I are super cooking...cornish game hen, broccoli and garlic risotto, and mashed rosemary parmesan yams and potatoes. I'm so going to need cardio when I'm done!
