Good Tuesday Morning Girls!

Hope all had a good rest last night.

I plan on KBWay2 - Empire State today with perhaps a power walk around my neighborhood. It all depends on how my time goes as I have to do the checkbook  and go grocery shopping- blech!

Chris
you asked if I get strained leg parts after my runs.... well as long as I stretch thoroughly - sometimes I take an extra 30 min just stretching out my legs that no I don't. If I don't stretch thoroughly or run longer than usual more than 5 miles then I may feel a bit 'twingy' so I'll hold off on the run and do something else usually a power walk with my w.vest on and doing a CC or Itread - now that is hard too lol

Gots to get moving so I can get the car heated up before I take off.

'See' you guys later on :)

Goodmorning Vilma and all that follow.

Today I might do BM2 as is. I have to go to work in a little bit so after work I'll get that done.

Vilma: Have fun with KBway2! I told DH I want a Kettlebell. Do I just need one Kettlebell? I was wondering if the majority of the workouts only use one?

I'll BB later after my work and workout. Have a beautiful day ladies!

Mornin' Girls!

My plan is to do Step Blast with the FF crew, today!

I hope I have the energy to do it, I was up every 2 hours last night with Zach's blood sugar. They decided to run LOW all night. In fact, he woke up himself at 10pm, saying he "felt low"... it was 47! Kind of eases my mind that he would wake up if he dipped down low, instead of just lapsing into a coma.

*sigh*

I don't think there's enough coffee in the world to wake me up this morning! Might have to down me a zipfizz! (do you still drink them before your workouts, Beth?)

Vilma: Have fun with your KB's today! Work hard! ... I guess listening to your body is key on all that running. My day is also planned grocery shopping event. Ick. Hate spending all that money on groceries.. and unloading and putting away. My *least* favorite chore, after putting away folded laundry!

Ivy: I did the stretch part of BM2 yesterday (after the abs) and thought I'd really like to do the whole workout some day! So have fun for me!... Did anything ever come of wearing the heart monitor the second time around?

BBL.. after I survive Step Blast!!

Good morning all! Chris, I had to laugh at your BM2 comment to Ivy.... I did the abs/stretch yesterday and I was thinking to myself once again that BM2 is such a killer long workout and I'll probably never do it all together ever again! :) I wanted to stay away from stepping this morning (saving myself for IMAX Friday this week), and so I did about 45 minutes of kbell swings. Finished up with some of the Tracy waist/ab work. I have really noticed a difference doing her waist/ab work, so I'm inspired to keep doing it. For whatever reason it seems way more effective for me than any of Cathe's core/abs work, though I must say I felt my waist/lower back today -- either from the BM2 work or back work yesterday.

Ivy, you can start with just one kettlebell to get a feel for it -- probably an 8kg which is about 12 pounds would be good for you. You could probably go all of your life without doing any exercies where you need two kettlebells at the same time -- there's so much to do just with one -- but eventually you may want to add a heavier one into the mix.

Chris, yes, I still sip zipfizz throughout my workouts every day. I don't know what I'll do if they quit making the stuff! :) But, I do have to use only part of the tube to start, and then add more water/ice -- it's just too strong tasting for me made with the proportions they say.

Good luck with the grocery shopping to everyone who's doing it -- finding places to put everything away is always a challenge here! Have a good day everyone.

-Beth

Hi everyone!! Step Blast for me today - fun!

From last night, Chris and Hottie, what were the issues with the xbox? I don't remember hearing about it. Hopefully they've worked it out by now.

Vilma, my son wants a digital camera too. He loves filming "movies" he and his brother come up with. His camcorder is really chintzy - it's a horrible quality. I'm leaning more towards a camcorder than a digital camera. But, most digital do movies, too, right? I'm confused about what to get! I need to do some research.

Beth, yea, BM2 is a killer workout! I really struggled to get through it the few times I've attempted it all at once. I do feel Tracy's ab/waist work more than any others. I need to do it consistently.

My grocery shopping was yesterday - two different stores. I actually kind of like grocery shopping, but hate putting it away.

Chris, sorry about the rough night with Zach! That's got to be so tough.

Ivy, are you doing a set rotation this month? Have fun with BM2!!

BBL...

Joanne

Hi Again..

Back from grocery shopping... Ugh. Though we really did need some "stuff" that we were totally out of, so a needed chore and accomplished! You're right, Joanne, I don't really mind the SHOPPING, but the lugging the bags back and forth and putting everything away (hard to find places sometimes!) is for the dogs!

Beth: Maybe I don't remember BM2 so much! LOL!! It's the "amnesic" effect of Cathe's workouts... Sounds like you had a good workout today with the KB's!... I know, I feel that way about TJ's Abs.. I ALWAYS feel them afterwards. Not so much Cathe's. And I feel TJ's more in more entire "core". I'm sipping on Zipfizz as I type . Last times I did it BEFORE I worked out, I GUZZLED the entire thing before. Maybe you're not supposed to "guzzle" it? I got a little "dizzy/high" at first!

Joanne: Hmmmm... I don't know exactly what happened with the XBOX 360. I'm not really "up" on all the boys' video games and systems. I do know the first problem was it froze up and Greg said it was the "ring of fire" issue. I think it was under warantee because it WAS the cause. the second time it froze up to the point of the game being stuck. Greg said forget it, and got a new one at that point. I think the first time they "fixed" it , they sent him a refurbished one. Stupid. They do love that system though because of the different games. ..... For Christmas , Zach asked for a "Flip"... it's a video camera you can record and then put online. I got a good deal at walmart online a few weeks ago and bought it, along with the tripod and some other accessory for free. I think it runs a bit cheaper than REAL video cams. I better go get some things DONE... even though I do not have the movitation....

Chris, that camcorder is perfect for Jameson! Thanks - I've seen those before, but for some reason didn't really look at them. I ordered one for him with a tripod.

Hi ladies...

Checking in today with Cardio Fusion..And it was kicking my butt too...Just got back from Costco and a few other errands while the kids were taking drawing lessons...

Have a great evening ladies..Off to start dinner!!

A Vent of sorts - disregard my 'me' post if'n ya want

Hello All

Well I never did get my workout in although once again I am wearing my workout clothes underneath my street clothes. :(

I'm thinking I'm going to start reverting back to my 4am wake ups and get my main workout in before 6am.

Since my hubby started this new shift before the summer...my regular workout time has been suffering - I've been finding that my workouts are getting pushed into mid afternoons sometimes. Which I don't care for and my motivation gets lacking.

Its partly my fault but when he gets home at around 830-9am he wants to relax w/ me usually in the family room and that's where I do my workouts at. By the time I get back home from carpooling the kids to school I'm getting home at 810 or so.

I've been feeling rather blah lately, not sure if its due to fluctuating hormones, the holiday season (since my dad passed away from cancer 3 yrs ago this time of year is very rough on me as he was Santa for my kids in more ways than one and I still miss him dearly) or stressing with my dh we have not been friendly for a few days and we are just rubbing each other the wrong way.

Anyhow I had to leave my house for a few hours before I blew a major gasket and oldest DD came with me grocery shopping. We ended up just killing time and at the local bookstore - it was nice and a good escape for me.

So sorry this is a vent of sorts but I just needed a safe place to vent my frustrations and I'm feeling a bit depressed.

I'm going to try to get my butt in bed early so I can get my workout in early before I need to tend to the family.

I would love to go on a vacay all by my lonesome but its just fantasy - ah well I can dream can't I?

Hope you all are having a better day than I am...I'm off to do the stupid checkbook now.

Here's hoping I have a better, positive , stress free day tomorrow

I need to smile.

Hey Again!

Joanne: I'm glad I could be helpful! I figured my 13 year old could have some insight!... His friend has one of those cameras , and they film silly things too. Check this out!:

Kathy: Cardio Fusion kicks BUTT! Did you do the entire thing with the Drills on the end? I was FRIED after that last week!

Vilma: I'm sorry you're having a hard time. It can be the best time of year, but it can be a tough time of year. My heart aches for those that have lost family or are sick. This is another of my friend's first Christmas without her 8 year old son , who died of Leukemia in July. It just sucks all around. And even me, I get all kind of meloncholy and miss *MY* dad, who's been gone for 20 years. 20 years. Unbelievable. Anyways, I guess all we can do is TRY to focus on the good, and get through. I think your plan to get up early when you can, to do your workouts, would be the best thing. I know you always feel better when you can do them and get them done for the day! ... Is there a way you could go to a day Spa? Or overnight with a friend somewhere? Just to get out of the funk of every day. I bet it would do wonders! Anyhow, just want to send you a:

Where or where IS my son to do his homework?!??!
