We have a chill in the air in here and yuck! :p

I have a cardio day so once I'm done sweating I'm putting on the fireplace to heat up this house - the fireplace tends to heat up our house faster than the heater - go figure .

Well I'm off as I need to heat up the car this morning.

Have a Great Day - nothing planned so far so I hope to be back later for personals.

Goodmorning Vilma and all that follow.

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day!! We had a good Thanksgiving Day! Today I'm not sure what workout I will do today since I have to go to MOPS and don't know what time I'll bb and how much time I'll have left to workout before DD gets out of school. But, I will workout today to something and I'll bb when I'm done working out. I hope you all have a great day and workouts!

Vilma: Stay warm! Have fun with your cardio workout! :)

I'll BB later :)

Hi All! I did GS Chest & Back work today as per FF's rotation. Feeling good!

Vilma, I wish I could send you some of our warmth -- I realized that part of me not getting into the holiday spirit is because it's still so warm here! We did get our tree up yesterday, and I think with the decorations and carols playing we all got into the spirit a little -- we'll see if we can keep it going!

Ivy, good to see you back!

Joanne, how's that bathroom work coming? I really need new curtains for ours but I'm so bad at picking out stuff like that.

Hottie, how was your trip? Oh, guess you're not back quite yet!

Hi Kathy, Chris, and anyone else we might pick up (Iris, Randi?).
Have a great day!

-Beth

Hola Amigas!!

Today I did the new Aero Jump/Sculpt and it was GREAT!!!! I got it in the mail today just before I got home so I decided to give it a try. I liked the variety of ways to jump with the jump rope. I did get a couple of lashes from the rope though:eek::eek:. But, it was fun!! Don't know what I will do tomorrow yet, but it will be cardio only, maybe RS or Imax2. I hope you all have a great day today! I have to get DD from school.

Beth: WTG on GSCB! I really love GS series! They are so effective! It's good to see you all too :)

Hi ladies!

I goofed on FF's rotation today and did GS chest and triceps instead of chest and back. Oh well, I'll adjust it later this week. My chest is always so sore after that one. I also did Ilaria's new Bodystrikes. It's all leg work, really good workout.

Bathroom is going OK. Of course, it's alot more work than we thought, but it always is, isn't it? Finally got all the wallpaper and glue off and DH is prepping the walls for painting. He decided to patch and paint the kitchen ceiling at the same time, so now both rooms are a disaster area. Ugh! No Christmas decorating here yet and the kids are getting antsy about it. I just can't do it yet with everything in disarray. Hopefully later this week.

Ivy, I heard about that workout and it sounded tough!!

Vilma, it's cold here, too, and we're expecting ice and snow for the next 24 hours, if that makes you feel any better! I'm getting a bit stressed about the holidays, too. I'm usually just about done shopping now cause I hate being stressed. But, not this year. I did get the boys and xbox. Put it on American Express - I guess I'll worry about paying for it later! They won't be getting much else! Caitlyn's getting a Barbie dream house. We went to see Santa at the church this weekend. She was so shy and nervous about going to see him, but she's so determined to get the Barbie house that she actually sat on his lap and told him she wanted it. But, he didn't hear her correctly, and said, OK, a Barbie game. I could tell she was not happy that he didn't hear her, she repeated it and he said, Oh, a Barbie doll. I told him it was a Barbie house for her benefit, so she wouldn't be upset all day that she was getting a game or doll instead of the house. Of course, we get in the car and she's crying that Santa didn't hear her right and she's not getting it. It's sitting in our attic, so she's getting it. ;) But she made a list last night with the house on it and made me promise that I would mail it to the North Pole last night.

Oh, and we're hosting Christmas Eve this year. If you could see our house right now, you'd think a tornado ran through it. I don't know how we're going to get it together by then, but I guess it will happen regardless!

Beth, how warm is it there? It must be harder to get in the spirit when the weather is nice. Not that I wouldn't mind experiencing that!

Have a wonderful day all!

Joanne

Hey!

I'm crawling up out of my weekend today. It was a tough one. Once a month I have to bring my 7 yr old to CCD on Sundays. It includes going to 10am Family Mass and then CCD afterwards. So I bring him after working all night. Get home and in bed at 12:30p and then up at 4-ish. To sum it up, I get 4 hours sleep total in between Saturday morning and Monday morning. That sucks and has wiped me out big time. (I haven't done this since my 9 year old went through it 2 years ago, and I'd forgotten).

Last night at work wasn't TOO bad. I hi-test coffee'd it and Zipfizzed it, but by about 5am, I was feeling kind of ill.

It was tough getting up this afternoon.

And I had momentary thoughts of skipping today's workout, but didn't.

I ended up doing GS: Chest & Back and then did 33 minutes of Sharon Mann step workout.

I'm cooked.

Vilma: I can so feel your pain on the coldness!! It was 13 degrees this morning when I got out of work, AND there was a bit of a breeze going for a wind chill of MINUS 2. (There's some get-ya-in-the-spirit weather!!). Your fireplace sounds cozy!!

Ivy :
Glad to hear your Thanksgiving was nice. We had good food, but it was very small and qiet here becuase DH and I had to work. I read briefly about Powerstrike! I'll have to go look see what that is all about. The jump rope thing doesn't really appeal to me, though. I'm not a jump rope kind of gal!

Beth: Good going on C&B today!! It was tough for me, I was tired. How cold does it really even get in CA for Christmas time? You're not in a spot that gets snow, are you?

Joanne: Oops on the workout today! I know, I had to look twice that is was Chest AND BACK. I had to break out of the box and change the DVD for that one! We're hosting Christmas Day dinner. I'm looking forward to it! Hope your fixing-up finishes up quick this week. It will look very nice afterwards. Oh no on Caitlyn's Santa visit! I remember one year Santa told the boys he was going to get Mommy (me) a Barbie and Daddy (DH) a truck this year. So we had to run out at the last minute and find a barbie and a truck for me and DH! Silly Santas!!!

I really have to get in the shower and in the kitchen to whip up supper!

(My 7 yr old is in the other room with the Christmas tree singing the ENTIRE Rudolp the Red Nosed Reindeer song. He sounds so cute!!!)

BBL if I'm alive!!

Joanne: I hope your bathroom and kitchen get done soon so that you can decorate for Christmas. Oh my gosh! I wanted to buy so bad Bodystrikes DVD but haven’t because I bought Aero, Exhale Body Sculpt and Pilates one, Ripped 1000, Christy’s Fit to Dance, and I think that’s it! LOL! But, I have sold and traded some of my other DVDs so I’m not adding to my 1000 DVDs, LOL!

Chris: I’m glad to hear work wasn’t too bad last night. WTG on GS! I want to buy Power Strikes too! :)

Well, going to take a shower and get ready to cook dinner (Home Made Mexican Pizza, YUMMY). Have a good day everyone! BB tomorrow :)

Hey Everyone!

I'm back and feeling like a cold bug has got me. My youngest is sick and my son has had this constant cough for over a week.

This morning as I got on my TM to do a run I felt like I had to throw up so I just stopped.

I'm going to see my doctor in the morning for a strep test cause today I started feeling ill, no energy and just plain ol' tired but I had to go out and get my husband some work shoes for a present then I went out for some sushi with extra wasabi and my stomach felt better - weird eh?

I'm thinking I'll just step out tomorrow to see the doctor then I'll go home and rest up if I can Wed & Thursday I'll be finished with my shopping then start with the wrapping of the presents lol

I guess all the running around has finally caught up to me. This momma needs a rest and relaxation. I've been going full throttle and now I'm crashing hard. Maybe I'll go get some eggnog and throw in some good ol' Puerto Rican rum in it and let everyone fend for themselves lol.

You all are so motivating with FF's rotation that once I get over this sore throat and nausea I hope to do it after the holidays.

I've been doing a Beth and just swinging my kettlebells with no dvd and I like that. I've been doing rounds of swings, alternate swings, snatches and TGU's it feels good over the weekend in between my running around. Hopefully if I feel up to it I'll do some before bed tonight

Sorry I've not been the most positive, motivating person lately but you all are doing fantastic keeping up with your workouts - Big Kudos to you all.

Ivy, good to know that you're doing the get rid of one when you buy one on your dvds. I ought to do that!!! I'm still holding firm on the powerstrikes, but tempted, for sure.

Joanne, I love the Santa story -- very sweet! I can see it.

Ok, Joanne & Chris.... how cold is it? Well, when I was driving to pick up the kids at 2:00 this afternoon, I was shocked to look at my thermometer and see it saying 48 degrees!!! It was at least 70 both days, so today we really took a turn toward December. Chris, it occasionally snows near me -- once a year there's usually a dusting, but it never sticks at my house. Drive up the driveway, and there's snow at the top on the road. Funny. I'd say normal temperature range in December is down to about freezing at night and mid- to high-50s in the day.

Ug, horrible, sad news at school pick up today. One of Dylan's friend's younger sister never woke up this morning. I cannot even imagine. Right now they are guessing meningitis, but they aren't confirming anything. So sad. It is such a small community here that the teacher told me to tell the boys about it today, because all the kids will certainly be talking about it at school tomorrow. This is probably the hardest conversation I've had to have with them. Hug your kids!

-Beth

P.S. Chris, go take a nap! Hopefully you're sleeping now anyway..... I don't know how you did all that workout on 4 hours of sleep in so many hours! Ug!!! And, I didn't even attempt the pushups on the high step either! Every set I started on my toes, but every set I eventually went to my knees. :)

-Beth

Hey Girls...

I made a nice White Bean, Ham & Angel Hair Pasta Soup for dinner. It hit the spot!

Vilma: It sounds like you've pushed yourself too far. I am drooling at the thought of an Eggnog with Jamaican Rum! ... In front of your fireplace! Can I come over? FF's Rotation IS really fun (can I use that word??) to do so far. It's been different for me.

Beth:
It sounds like you get some cooler temps there. 48 would be BALMY here. Although I did read that it is supposed to warm up later this week to the 50's and rain. We got a dusting of snow over the weekend. My boys were way excited and ready to go sledding (there was JUST a dusting! LOL!). Ohhhh...That is SUPER sad about the little girl who died. How old was she, Beth? I know, there are such tragedies. Remember the 8 year old boy who died of Leukemia this past summer? Well, the same Mom's group has another little girl who has been battling Lymphoma and Lupus, and it sounds like her cancer is back...again. I do hug my boys (when they're not beating the bejeesus out of each other and being screamin meemies!).

Oh , and on the Elementary School split up front, our mayor is supposedly going back into negotiations with the College for the rent again. It said in the paper that he's doing this because of the unhappy parents !! How cool is that? There have been some HUGE squeaky wheels around here on this, let me tell you.

Charlie Brown Christmas is on in 10 minutes!

Vilma: I hope you and your boys feel better.

Beth: Oh Beth, that is super sad that that happened to that little girl. I’m in shock. I hope the conversation with your son’s goes well. I feel so bad for the little girl and her family.

Chris: Yay! That’s great about the school. Hopefully everything goes well. Keep us updated.

Goodnight everyone!
