Dear Teachers,

I so appreciate everything you do for my child. But, after 4 years of elementary school, I feel that I must let you know that I am not a photo shop. I can not reproduce a picture of my child, my family or some other item you need for a class project in one day. Kindly give me at least a weekends notice to accomplish this task.

Okay, thanks for listening, just had to vent. This is about the 6th time a teacher has requested a photo with one days notice. I'm OVER it! On my way to target to wait the hour for my photo. What's the chance the photo machine is broken???

I don't blame you for being peeved, and I really think you should say something to the teacher(s) about this.

Later in the year, I assign a poetry project which requires two photos, and I give kids 3 weeks to bring them in.

Wow, 6 times in four years?? That would be frustrating. As Cathy said, I would mention that to the teacher. I am a teacher and would never do something so inconsiderate.

My other daughter's teacher (she's a twin, so it's the same grade) took her own pictures and printed them herself. I'll be sure to mention my appreciation at the fall conference.
