~~~Deanies Rotation Check In~~~~8/8

Good Morning!

Today I took as a rest day. I had some DOMs from yesterday, and just didn't feel like working out today. Tomorrow I will probably do yoga:+ DS 45 min. yoga!

Gin~ Not sure when you are leaving so...HAVE A GREAT TIME ON THE RT!!! I will be with you in spirit!! And you know we will want a very detailed report on Cathe and her classes and the people you meet!!:7 :7

Marcy~ What did you end up doing today?

Tracee~ Why not just take this week off and start fresh on Monday? Please don't leave..... we would miss you!

Cheryl~ Sorry about your computer! We are starting April 05 rotation on Monday.

Off to plan a 2 day vacation with the kids in Philly....

Hi Ladies!

Today I did the Dancing With the Stars workout. It was a lot of fun and I burned 366 calories. My heartrate even got up to 94% during the jive. The workout is taught by Max, Ashley and Kym and broken down like this:

Warmup
Paso Doble - Max
Cha Cha - Ashley
Samba - Kym
Jive - All
Challenge - All
Cooldown/Stretch - All

The jive was my favorite - really upbeat and really got my heartrate soaring. I guess I liked the samba and cha cha equally and least favorite was the paso (I guess not enough hip action in that one.) It would be helpful to have a little knowledge of dance since they didn't break down the steps (I know what a botofogo is but I don't know how many others do.) Kym missed a step but covered well and sometimes it seemed like they didn't do both sides equally. The challenge was definitely a challenge since there was little or no cueing and it was more like a freestyle for them. I tried to keep up but I think even Max got lost at one point. Overall, it was very enjoyable and flew by rather quickly. It was a 60 min. workout. I frankly wish all workouts were 60 mins. because they fit perfectly into my schedule.

Deanie - What are you planning on doing in Philly? I've never been there. Enjoy yoga tomorrow. Tomorrow is Core Strength & Conditioning for me. I can't decide yet which yoga I'll be doing on Friday - David, Baron or Shiva. I guess it'll depend on what time I get up and what mood I'm in. It's nice to have so many choices now.

Gin - Have a safe trip since I don't know if you'll be able to check in after today. Have a great time and like Deanie said, we want all the details and make sure you take some pictures with Cathe and send them to us (please?). I'm sure you'll lose the last few pounds on the Road Trip since Cathe will be keeping you plenty busy. I hope you liked my review of DWTS. Have you done any dance workouts?

Tracee - Since you're taking this week off, you'll be fully strong and refreshed for Monday. Better to have more energy to start off a rotation than to be all burnt out.

Cheryl - Glad you're back with us. Hope your computer gets fixed soon. Do you get a break from school anytime soon? Glad you're able to join us on Monday.

Good Morning Ladies!

Today I went to my yoga class and then did Deanie's KPC/KM combo. I probably will not be able to post tomorrow because we leave the house around 6:30 am. I will certainly be thinking of you guys when I am there and try to take some good pics and give you some good details.

Deanie--Enjoy your rest day! And enjoy the vacation with your boys. When will you be leaving? Not sure if I will be doing Core Syn. again tomorrow. I think I will run out of time! I had DOMS in my glutes yesterday from Core Syn on Mon. I'm sure my upper body will be sore tomorrow from kickbox.:p

Marcy--Sounds like you had a good workout with DWTS. I love to watch that show, but would never attempt to try the video. I have no dancing background.:p I sure hope I can take some good pictures on the Road Trip! Enjoy yoga tomorrow, whichever one you choose!

Tracee--Hope you are planning to hang in there with us. We would miss you so!

Cheryl--Hang in there with school! Do you have a break coming up anytime soon?
