Goooood Morning Girls:)

waist: 26"
hips: 33"(would like to get my hips to 32" or 31")
thighs: 18 1/2"

Good morning everyone.

I'm back into the swing of things and it felt good to do a solid weight workout again. This is one of my favorites but I realized that it had been a long time since I'd done it.

Congrats on great measurements Deanie. You are tiny too, just like Marcy.

I can't wait until everyone is back with the group full strength.

Gin - Can't wait to hear your stories about the road trip.

The announcement about the mix and match download ipod option thingy doesn't appeal to me. It sounds time consuming and like a lot of work. I prefer to have other people tell me what workout to do for that week or month. Ha!

Hope you all have or had great vacations.

Hi Ladies!

I also got a good workout today. I made sure to take my measurements last night to make sure I'm accurate at the end of the month:

Waist - 23 1/2"
Chest - Across 28 3/4", under - 26"
High Hip - 34 1/2" (I would also like to lose a couple of inches here.)
Low Hip - 34
Biceps L & R - 11"
Left Inner Thigh - 18 1/2" (this is where I really want to lose)
Right Inner Thigh - 18 1/2"
Mid-Thigh - both 17 3/4"
L calf - 13"
R calf - 13 1/4"
Weight - 122.2

I used the mix-n-match feature. It took me an hour and 21 minutes. I didn't do the third set of underhand dbbl rows, but I inserted chinups/pullups throughout the workout. I also didn't do the second set of concentration curls. Here are my stats:

Back
Dbbl row reverse grip - 29# both sets
One Arm rows - 29# - both sets - missed 2 reps on left side in first round.
Bbl pullover - 36# both sets
Shoulders
Dbbl overhead press - 16# all 3 sets
Dbbl Lat raise - 13# both sets
Dbbl Rear Fly - 13# both sets
Biceps
Bbl curls - 34# both sets - 6 reps 1st set, 8 reps 2nd set
Dbbl partial reps - 10# both sets
Dbbl concentration curls - 16# (had to drop to 13# on the last 2 bonus reps)
Curl turndown - 12#
Hammer curl - 13# (didn't do last 2 reps of bonus round)
Wrist curls - 12# both sets

The problem I had with the mix-n-match is that when you start a chapter, there's barely enough time after you press play to lift up your dbbls before she starts. I just needed a few extra seconds to set up. If I had the proper weight dbbls, it would've gone much smoother for me, but since I have to change back and forth with the plates it gets a little annoying but even when I do it the normal way, I'm still stuck changing weights. The last time I did this workout, it took me an hour and 14 minutes so it was only 7 mins. longer this way.

Deanie - Have fun on your trip. Sounds exciting! Hope you get to do IMAX 3 tomorrow morning.

Tracee - Glad you're back with us and had a good workout. I agree about the ipod blender. It just isn't for me. I need a visual but I think they're saying you can hook it up from the cable to the TV. But I just don't understand how it's going to work with pricing? Do we have to rebuy everything in order to get the blender? I do have a video ipod but I guess I'll have to see as we get more updates. All those premixes sound wonderful but I don't know how many I'd use. I've only used a very few from the Body Blast series but I have used the timesaver and other premixes a lot from the Hardcore Series and the New Series.

Gin - Can't wait to hear all your stories from the Road Trip and about all the wonderful people you met. Hope you have a great time at Hershey.

Cheryl - Hope you were able to start the rotation with us and that you had a good workout.

Marcy

Hi guys!

Marcy~ Great workout today! We seem to be about the same size:) Do you think you got a better workout using the mix and match thing? 1 hour 20 min. is a long time! I may try it if you think its worth doing.

Tracee~Yeah!!:) Glad your with us! I agree with you and Marcy. I dont think the workout blender thing is for me. I only have an ipod shuffle, and I'm not going to buy an ipod for all that $$$ just for these workouts. I also rarely use premixes (unless told by the rotation) and don't invision at this point, the cost out weighing the use. Maybe down the road one day. In a way I'm glad, I don't need to be spending any more $ these days.

Deanie - Yes, 1:20 is a long time but it wasn't too much different than from when I did it normally. I do seem to need a lot of rest in between sets and usually I have to take extra rest with Cathe except maybe for Slow & Heavy. I know some people think the rests are too long in S&H, but I relish them. I do know that I noticed I had more strength with the X when he rotated body parts. The weights I used today were somewhere in between what I did for my last GS workouts and what I did with the X. Cathe also does more reps so I went a little less than I wanted to. I pretty much only did 8 reps with Tony, but occasionally went up to between 10 and 12. If I went up that high with my reps, I upped my weights for the next workout. I guess I would try it once to see if it makes any difference for you. I will definitely be trying it with Chest & Triceps because that's always the toughest workout for me. I always need a lot of rest with that one. That one usually takes me about 1:14 minutes to complete. It also takes some time for me with all the weight changes. If I had the exact dbbls I could grab, I'm sure I could make the workout shorter.

Did you see the blog about Cathe teaming up with Altus equipment? The equipment will be sold in stores although I don't know how long it's going to take. This sounds like it will be a good thing. I know I definitely need a dumbbell rack and more dumbbells and....

Marcy

Okay, I just checked the Blog. I think that's so cool about the Atlas equiptment. Unfortunately (or fortuneatly) I can't think of anything I need. Maybe a chinup/pullup bar. But I'm psyched for Cathe!

Marcy~ Thanks for the info on the mix and match. A possiblity for next week.
