<-- should explain a bit: we aren't ever going for "control" and that is perhaps the problem with the perception of IDDM... "control" is impossible, so we shoot for "management" of blood sugars... which is as good as we could ever get, and then once we get there, within about 1-3 weeks, something changes and we have to start all over again. But if you think "control" is possible, then when you don't get it, you feel like you've done something wrong and that's terrible.
