Day 2 of the 'Theater Of Pain'

Hello Ladies,
Today is day 2 of Cathe’s 'Theater Of Pain', with the emphasis on Pain. I woke up and in the fog of morning completely forgot what I did yesterday...until I tried to stand up. Oh boy, did my memory improve.
Cathe's programs have given me an unexpected gift – the ability to travel thru time. I now know how I'll walk at the age of 90. If someone had given me a cane today I would have taken it.
Getting dressed was interesting, as was being able to feel every muscle in my ass talk to me at once ("What did you DOOOO?!??!") Arms are wonderful things, they can be used to help you sit in a chair, get out of a chair, etc. and were used quite a lot today.
My world is filled with flights of stairs that I've taken for granted. I live on the third floor, I work on the second floor, the bathrooms are on the third floor. Do you know there are exactly 15 steps per flight at my work? I now know this because today I had the time to count them. I had three people ask me if I was alright while limping down stairs.
It was my own fault, Lisa told me to go light on the weights, but being a man (hard habit to break), *knew* I could handle it. Ha, won’t make that mistake again. I’m looking at my schedule for tomorrow – Pure Strength – Chapters: Back & Biceps. Lets see: T-bar rows, Negative barbell curls, sounds like fun.
Got curious and looked at some of Lisa’s DVD's. Leaner legs, Meaner legs. A cold chill ran down my back and I thought of Yoda from Star Wars "You're not afraid? You WILL be."

:+ OK, tears are streaming down my cheeks with this one!!! You know, I actually did use a cane after my second attempt at the Firms Standing Legs!!! I figured if I could do it once, I could up my weights the next time. WRONG!!! Now, I have a fear of doing this workout!!

You must post after your Back and Biceps day. Careful - you may wish your feet could assist your arms!!
Cheers,
Debra;-)

Be sure and post the day you do IMAX for the first time.
Wah ah ah ah ah! (evil laugh accompanied by funereal music) }(

Shari

P.S. Edited because evil smilie didn't post right (see above). Next time you post, please look to your left. Down three rows, over two. That is evil smilie, and he will be watching you as you "experience" IMAX.

Hey Garth:

it's good to have you on board! I am enjoying reading your posts and believe me, we all soooooooo identify with your current daily agonies. Been there.....

The first time you do every different video is the absolute worst, so just think you are already past the worst of it on PS legs!!!!!!!!

Leaner legs has a bad rep here at the forums, it features a nice little piece of torture called the " low ends". But if you think avoiding LL in order to avoid this move will help you, forget it!! Cathe features "low ends" on nearly all her leg workouts, so you just have to get used to them and you know what? They are really very effective. You will develop a complete range of performance grimaces to accompany your theatre of pain! But you are in good company because all Cathe's background exercisers have similar facial expressions and even Cathe herself on many an occasion grimaces with the effort.

So it's heart warming to know you are in good company, right?!?!?! :)

Keep up the fine work, and yes, keep coming here to tell us about it. We're rooting for you.

Clare

RE: Garth and I-Max

Gotta second Wutherhi on your need for Interval Max 1 and Interval Max 2, given your natural love for punishment. Simple step choreography, intensity intervals to make your eyes bleed. You'll love it. Absolutely love it. Interval #2 in I-Max 1: 64 vertical jumps in place. Interval #4 I-Max 1: 48 plyo jacks. Interval #8 I-Max 1: a quadrillion plyo lunges. It's made for you, Garth.
