Good Morning!!!!

Well....I feel much better today then I did yesterday morning! Although, I wasn't up this early but I wouldn't have felt good anyway...LOL, I would have only had 2 hrs of sleep!:confused:

I had awful nigh at work on Fri night. I worked all day, went back for a flight at 7, while I was back there I noticed that there was another flight coming @ 11 and another one at 1. When I went back for 11 I just stayed there but of course the 1 o'clock flight was delayed until 3!!!! I thought I was going to die! I slept until 10:30 yesterday morning but it was broken sleep....not good at all! I felt like I was hungover!

I had a pretty good night last night. My SIL took DS to my MIL's for supper so I didn't have anyone under my feet. I tried to take a nap but that didn't work. I got back up and did STS disc 26 and 27. Good workouts but there were a few moves in legs that I didn't like. I hated those squat turn things....they kinda made me feel dizzy. I have some DOMS in my bum today though....nice!

So I am up early to get my 12 kms run in before work...thats what the training schedule calls for. I won't be following each day as suggested b/c most days the runs are only 5-6 kms long...as you know me...Im not going to follow that!

I have decided to run inside so cc # 6 it is for me!!!

I will bbl with personals. As soon as I am done my workout its off to work I go! Last shift for the weekend!! Woo Hoo!!!!

Morning Glories.

I've been awake since 5am and out of bed since 530. I got up to pee and couldn't fall back to sleep. UGH.

Today's work out will be Insanity's Pure Cardio work out. I think this one is gonna kick my ass! I'm truly askeered! :eek:

Lori:: Yikes, I don't know how you survive with such a messed up sleeping schedule. I am like a little kid (or an old person) where I go to bed early and get up early. I need my sleep! When I DO go to bed late I usually still get up at the same time so I am a wreck that day. If I don't get atleast 6 hours of sleep a night I am useless. I remember going to work on as little as 2 hours of sleep in my younger days. Even then I couldn't handle it very well! LOL Enjoy CC #6 today and WOO HOO for working your last shift before getting a few days off! :)

Diana:: Early retirement is always a nice thing to plan for if you can swing it. Unfortunately in today's day and age it's not an easy task. Most can not afford to do it. If your DH even THINKS he can make it happen that more power to him!!! :) My mom is 62 and is ready to retire. She is a bit nervous about it for financial reasons though so she is taking her time figuring things out before she makes a move. She doesn't want to do anything hasty and then regret it even though she hates her current job and just wants OUT!

Time to feed the little guy (and myself) breakfast! BBL though.
 
Back to report!:) I ended up running outside and I had noooo idea it was sooo muggy out! I was drenched when I got home...and tired! Mugginess takes the life right out of me. Glad it is over with though, 12- 13 kms under my belt...Day 1 of training over with;)

Wendy** The other girl that works here is a par-ta machine!!! She is a couple of yrs older then me and she stays out until 5 in the morning and can still be to work by 10! She as a wedding next weekend and she needs me to go on call for her b/c its her weekend to work. SHe said that if she gets home before 6 she is gonna be pissed! She wants to stay out until 6 and is going to be to work by 12! I can't imagine.She is a smaller girl but the drinking is catching up with her cause she is getting a gut;) Plus she as two kids. The rule her and her DH have is that they can stay out late but they have to be home before the kids wakeup! Im not sure about your DH but I know mine wouldn't be happy with me if I strolled home at 6 in the morning...and I would have him locked out if he tried to get in at 6 in the morning. So in a nut shell...yes, I need my sleep to! And I had a good night last night!

I am going to catch up on yesterdays thread and then I will return!

Jen** Did you get all of your house work done??? Cleaning doesn't bother me...what bothers me is that fact that it isn't clean for very long:confused: Dog fur everywhere!!!! The girl that is staying with us was suppose to do my housework once a week, on Thurs. When she moved in that was part of the deal. Then she got a boyfriend and it all went out the window! She hasn't cleaned since we were in Fl which was in April month:confused: No joke! I didn't want to say anything to her b/c she will cry! Another...no joke! The guy she is seeing is gone away now though so hopefully she will be more of a help when it comes to house work. The only thing I have to get use to now is her being home all the time again. After she got a bf she wasn't even home that much. When I came home the other day she was emptying the dishwasher and I said " Oh back to work again now that he is gone" Maybe she got the hint. LOL Either way...my house so I suppose I should be the one to clean it.

Wendy** I seen a pic of your drink on FB! Looked very yummy!! I think I am going to have a drink tonight before bed...then I will be faaaast asleep! Seems like you are enjoying those workouts!!

Diana** Are you buying a house? Are you keeping your other one? I think I missed that thread. One of my MIA days I guess.

Jacque** Did you get your workout in yesterday???

I really need to do some work today. I haven't touched any paper work all weekend and the guy who is working with me isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer....ugh...it takes forever for something to get through to him. So if I have to work instead of talk...then thats fine by me!

Pure Cardio is DONE!

OMG, I lost my breath on the second exercise in after the warm up! I had to pause the dvd, catch my breath and then resume! After that I took little breaks as needed. It was tough. If you do it as produced there are NO BREAKS! YEOWZAS! :eek:

Well, I promised the boys some pancakes after my work out so I'd better go get washed off and get to it! I need to eat something as well!

Hi ladies,

DH had some friends over last night to watch a football game..so I went to my sisters house to visit with her! We ended up watching Gran Torino with Clint Eastwood. We both liked it and had a good time.

Oh-it's supposed to 93 today and the air conditioner isn't working! It is going to be so hot in here this afternoon. Hopefully DH can have the repair guy come back tomorrow. The AC is 15 yrs old and I'm sure we need a new one.

DS2 is filling up his bed and hopes to have the bedroom move mostly done today. He has a lot of stuff in his room. I'm thinking this bedroom will be a good time for both DS's to purge all their old stuff, give away...throw away etc. It doesn't look like I'll be able to paint until next weekend though.

The rotation calls for PUB, but I already did that this week so I'm going to do CTX upper and a cardio TBD. The rest of the week is up in the air. I have a training class in downtown Denver, M-W this week. I will still have bootcamp T/TH this next week.

After my workout I need to go shopping. DS2 needs new pillows and DS1 needs more practice football pants. I'm just not really looking forward to shopping today.

Lori-sounds like you are feeling human again after getting in some sleep and a run! No new house, just a refi combining our HELOC with our mortgage. Actually, unless your house guest is paying rent, I think she should help out with the housework.

Wendy-I'm so looking forward to trying out Insanity. For most people, they continue working for medical benefits. I almost afraid to admit that I may have to continue to work even after DH retires. Who knows though, it's just something we want to work towards. If nothing else, we would be debt free, our house would be paid off and that would be a good thing. Plus, people are living longer and need to have money for the remainder of their years.

Well its already 12:30 so I need to get a move on. I've been procrastinating all morning, watching my recordings in bed while DH and DS have been busy working.

Good Afternoon Peeps.

Well, we are waiting to go out. We are supposed to be going to the golf course and the outlets that are across the street. DH wants to hit some balls on the range while DS and I hit some stores and then we will come together to play a round of mini-golf. Well, this is the plan anyway but it's raining now so who knows what's gonna happen....GRRRRR.

My obliques are sore today. I didn't notice it until after my work out this morning. I love this feeling. :)

So I got on the scale this morning and some how managed to gain 3 pounds between Friday morning and today. I know it's not the case but still aggravating none the less. :rolleyes: This is why I weigh myself so often. If I only weighed once a week or so I'd panic thinking I really gained that weight! This way I know better but also know that I need to do damage control so that it DOESN'T actually happen. :)

I can't wait to see what happens come the end of 2 weeks with the Insanity rotation. I admit though to already missing the weights and it's only been 3 days with out them. LOL I don't know if I can go 2 months w/o lifting any weights at all. Even if I like the results and decide to continue the rotation as is, I may put in one regular weight work out per week just to keep myself from going through serious withdrawals. ;)

Diana:: Yeah, I think I recall my mom trying to figure out the med benefit thing as well. I think you will love the Insanity work out I am mailing you. Insanity is soooo up your alley IMO. You are likely to be sucked in the first time you do it. ;)

Hey Girls-

I managed to do CTX upper and abs but just don't feel like doing cardio. I think its because its so hot in our house-over 90 and it is just draining my energy. I did put in a 10 min solution DVD but just couldn't get into it.

I still have errands to run so I should shower and get a move on. I'm sure I'll probably feel much better after that..and a starbucks iced coffee!:D

Wendy-I hope the rain stops so you can enjoy your afternoon/evening plans. I thought I read that they encourage you to lift upper body weights on your own while doing the Insanity rotation. There is also an additional dvd for the series that is upper body weights. I'm so looking forward to it...

Not many peeps around today...

So I've decided to definitely add my own upper body weight work into Insanity no matter what. I will start this off tmrw by doing One on One Training w/Jackie: Upper Only as well as the scheduled Insanity work out which is Plyo Cardio Circuit. This should be a nice pairing as it will still only be an hour long work out,should satisfy my need for more upper body work and not leave me COMPLETELY devoid of energy when it's over. ;) In fact, I may really go for the gusto and take tmrw evening's Pilates class at the gym. Glutton for punishment? Perhaps! LOL

Well the part of our plan that was going to be fun for Joey got rained out (mini golf). I felt really bad but there was nothing we could do so we made it up to him. We stopped at McDonald's on the way home so that he could get a happy meal. (Shhhh-don't let that leak out to the O/D or I might get stoned! :p) He loves any toy they give away but this toy he especially loves this one cause it's a CAR. One of his favorite things. :) DH ate McD's too but I was good and had a salad and a tuna sandwich that I made when we got home.

As for the driving range and the shopping, it happened but barely. It pretty much rained the entire time. DH was under cover at the driving range but Joey and I had to dodge the rain drops while walking around the outlets. They did have a bit of cover over a goodly portion of the stores so there was some relief but we still got pretty wet. Oh well. I realized I won't melt years ago so it was all good despite the crappy weather! :D I picked up a cool T-shirt from Lucky Brand jeans and was hemming and hawing over one in Juicy when DH called that he was coming back from the range to pick us up. Lucky for DH cause if I were there another 5 minutes I would have talked myself into buying the shirt! :p

Diana:: I opted out of the deluxe Insanity dvd when I purchased the set as I know I can always buy it in the future if I want it or feel the need for it. For now I have plenty of upper body work outs/premixes to keep me busy if I need them. :) Great job banging out ANY work out in that heat! OMG I work out in AC and still in this heat it feels like it's not even on once I start to move around! I don't know how folks (like Jen!) work out w/o AC all the time. I think I would pass out!!!! :eek:

Well this damage controller is pooped. Heading to bed a bit early tonight I think...
