Damage Control

I've been getting 4 or so weight workouts in each week. I'm feeling good about that. Today I did STS D4-CSB, my own abs and the extended stretch. I'm enjoying the db work. My left arm is so much weaker. Hopefully it will catch up soon. There was a break in the rain so I went walking as well.

Not too much going on here for the long weekend. It's been cold, cloudy and rainy. We did have my MIL over yesterday for brunch. It was really nice. The girls helped out and we all played a couple games of Farkle afterward.

It's a short 3 day week for me. I have this Friday off and am so looking foward to it.

What are you up to?

Just a week until we see Aaron! I'm hoping we have decent weather. It's been raining here most of the week and it looks like it will this weekend and into next week. The flowers and the grass like it anyway.

We're still waiting to get our car back from the body work that had to be done on it. We walked down Thursday and they said probably next week. We'll see. They've been saying that for 3 weeks. I was hoping to use it to drive to Scranton on Friday since we can use the GPS system in it.

What are you up to this weekend? We have zero plans. The grand finale of one of the annual soccer tournaments is on today so we're hoping we get that on one of our streaming platforms. I'll probably get some cleaning done and want to go through photos to give some to Aaron. He's always asking for photos of when he was little. I think his girlfriends like to see how cute he was when he was little!

Whatever you're up to I hope you enjoy and can relax too!

So happy it's the weekend and I don't have any plans!

I did CSB on Tuesday and walked on Wednesday and did glute work yesterday. Today will be Back & Triceps and tomorrow will be legs. It supposed to be in the 80's today and tomorrow. Not sure if I will walk or not..

Tomorrow I'll tackle laundry, grocery shopping and mowing the lawn.

My sister in law is a low budget traveler. We are trying to plan a trip to Greece in November. Hopefully we can find something we both agree on. Otherwise we can just go to Mexico, which I'm fine with since I've never been there. She usually goes 2 or 3 times each year.

Sounds like we are both enjoying relaxing weekends!

I'm sure you are in the city this weekend. Enjoy time with your son!

I was able to get in 5 weight workouts and walk around the lakes twice. Keeping on with STS for a while longer. I'm starting to be able to increase my 15's to 17's, so my strength is improving. I feel pretty good about that.

I just finished a 3 day juice cleanse. The juices are so good. It's very easy to do and I wasn't hungry at all. I've been dealing with some stomach pain, RUQ in the same area as before. That is why I decided to do the 3 day cleanse. I'm not sure what is causing it. If I can't get it under control, then I'll schedule an appt with surgeons office. They will be able to run all the necessary tests.

I just finished walking around the lakes. It's supposed to rain so I wanted to get outside while I had the chance. If my stomach feels better, then it's the next STS legs workout.

Hello!

We had a great time last weekend. The travel was not too bad. We drove about 100 miles, stayed overnight, then caught the bus the next morning. We met up with Aaron and his girlfriend around 1:30 PM and were off-tons of walking and sightseeing all over NYC. She had a semester in high school on the Columbus University campus so knew the area pretty well. We did the subway, saw Chelsea Pier, and went to one of her old, favorite eating spots, Little Ruby's, on Saturday before the show. We saw Sunset Blvd. that night. It was a little difficult catching all the words in the songs, but the story was easy and the staging/production was very good. It won for best revival musical this year, which we found out on Sunday night during the Tony Awards.

Sunday we slept in a bit, went to brunch, then saw the show, Gypsy, at the matinee. It was super special seeing that one since Aaron was in Gypsy when he was nine years old! We both knew all the songs and it was great. After the show we walked a few miles around Central Park then had dinner at a little spot that served Japanese food-I can't remember what anything was called there but it was really good!

My foot/leg was ok the whole time! I did have some muscle spasms, but they've subsided. I have not formally worked out since last Friday morning when I got up to do my leg moves before we travelled after work Friday. Today I am getting back to it and am planning a bike ride and doing my leg moves-so about 1.5 hours of working out. Otherwise, I need to get my wash done and would like to make some granola.

It sounds like your weight work is going great! I hope your abdomen feels better. My abdomen soreness is from the psoas muscle. It's part of my endless stretching routine now to open it up daily.

Well, better get the day going! I feel like I have a lot to do/want to do today.

Enjoy the warmer weather-finally!

Hi! How was your weekend? Ours was pretty rainy and humid. I did get two weight workouts and one 45 minute walk around town in. Besides that I cleaned, read, cooked, and just puttered around the house. Seems pretty mundane after how busy we were last weekend! Dan and I have been playing an online game of bridge which has been fun. We were able to do it on our phones on the bus last weekend when we were traveling and it really made the time fly.

Otherwise, not much new. Today I want to do lower body again-been mixing it up with ankle weights, the band, and heavier weights. I got a loaf of sourdough fermenting and am making homemade pizza for dinner for Father's Day-didn't get it going until yesterday, so we had to wait a day to eat it! I work this week and then am off next week. We're thinking of going to the beach if the weather is decent.

I hope you have a good week!

Beth
