Good Morning Ladies,

I haven't stepped on the scale in almost 2 weeks, until this morning that is. I'm up about 3lbs gggrrrr. I'm sure Shaun T. can help me take care of that pretty quickly.

This is week 2 of Insanity/P90x hybrid. I'm not really feeling the X right now so may change it up to include GS weights or other Cathe w/o's. Plus, the new workouts will be arriving soon and I want to give those a try too. I did say I would give the rotation 2 weeks so today is C&B, pushup/pullup torture. I'm also considering doing STS again...I know, call me crazy...right there with Laura.

My HR monitor broke several months ago. It's been very weird working out without one. I finally picked up the Polar FT40 for my birthday which is Thursday. DH told me I could use it now. I set up yesterday and used it for Intensity. I was a little disappointed to find that I only burned 500 cals for this w/o. It will be nice to have those numbers to encourage me to work harder.

Laura-so did you start STS again? I may be joining you.

Lori-I saw on FB that you went for a run...good for you. How did you feel afterwards?

Good Morning:)

Its my week to work:( I forgot last night that I had to work today, until I looked at the time and thought I should hit the sack! Cause we all know how much I love my sleep!

You guys will be happy to know that I have finished reading my monster size PT book! I did some major cramming last week and accomplished it all:p I still haven't receieved the things I ordered for studying yet so its hard to set a date to do the exam. I was hoping to do it when I went into the city on the 18th of Oct for my ultra sound. So that's what I am hoping for.

Diana** I was hoping to be around a little bit last week to keep you company cause Wendy was gone and Laura disappears on weekends;) but I didn't get to check in. I was at my parents house and for some reason I find it hard to check in out there. I guess its b/c DS is outside most of the time. I am sure you will get those 3 lbs off! LOL

I will try to check in later. No workout for me yet today, couldn't get my lazy butt out of bed. There isn't anything on the go tonight so I am hoping for a good workout later!

MONDAY .. ugh --

Hello Ladies ..

I got a MIGRAINE FRI night :( OMG .. it came on quick and hard .. it didnt ease up until ysty :( so no workouts to report - drugged up SAT and too tired SUN so tonight's class will be killer for me!!! Looks like IRENE did a number on NC and the upper East coast - think Wendy is attempting to drive .. IDK if that was a good idea .. saying a prayer for safe travels!! It is gonna be BAD INSANE week - not that that is anything new .. first and third checks will drop THUR and FRI :( :mad: gonne be BAD!! BUT FOOTBALL SEASON STARTS SATURDAY .. woot woot!!!! GOOOOOOO AUBURN TIGERS!!!!! WAAAAAAARRR EAGLE BABY!!!!:D PLUS it is a LONG weekend ... double WOOT WOOT!!!

SOOOO DH got all his "honey do's'" done this weekend .. OMG . . new tile in bathroom .. new front door and trim .. AND new side door and trim .. HE IS AWESOME ... it looks WONDERFUL.... next it is MY turn gotta re-do all my trim work .. ugh .. painting a slow aggrevating thing .. but it will be worth it!!

Di - dont worry about the 3 pounds .. u got SeanT and the new workouts to help w/that... I was scared to weigh this mrning .. PRE PMS .. PLUS no workouts .. PLUS bad eats .. ugh :(

Lori - glad to see ya back!!!!

OK .. gotta jet - we are AS USUAL swamped .. tonight is circuit class .. thinking step, plyo step, and weights!! :eek: :D have a geat one!;)

wonder how our Wendy is fairing? Hope all is well with her travels. Last night was circuit - step - plyo step and high rep LB finished w/core .. I got home DH had put up the last door .. the door to the pool outside .. he is AWESOME .. I gotta do something special for him .. bless his heart .. working like crazy on nightshift!!!

Di - did you say you did or didnt get the new p90x series? cant remember ..I am still on fence about them ..

Ok .. I am BUSY again .. surprise surprise ... end of the week will be INSANE!!! tonight is mish mosh class .. thinking push up/plank 3 step torture .. havent done that in a while :D have a great one!;)
 
Hey everyone.

Y'all need to check FB more. :p If you did, you'd know we've been home since 3 this morning!!! We drove and decided to go straight through w/o stopping!!!! :eek: Crazy car ride but atleast we are home now! Had today to "recup" and now it's back to work tmrw. Blech! :( We are still on schedule for spending the coming holiday weekend in AC though! :cool: I know-we are crazy! LOL :D;):p

No work out yet today but there's still hope...scale up less then a pound...no damage to the house from the storm...so it's all good!

Hi ladies,

I had a very busy and productive day today. I was in meetings most of the day. I'm working from home tomorrow and should be able to get a lot done.

My abs are so sore today...I'm sure from bootcamp class last night. We had to do these core plank pushup things that were super tough. I also did Power Hour abs after PCC this morning. Tomorrow calls for X Shoulders and Arms. I'm definitely switching up the X legs & back for a Cathe Leg w/o.

DH and Jerod had a meeting with the Dean today and Jerod was able to go back to school today. Suspending him is not punishment IMO. Whatever, the issue has been dealt with and he/we are moving on.

Wendy-So happy to hear you made it home okay, and even better that your house is unscathed by the hurricane! Wow, not even a single pound gained on vacation, you are amazing!

Laura-How nice of your DH to take care of stuff for you! I'm reviewing the new P90X w/o's and do plan on preordering them. My Beach Body coach just emailed me that we can preorder now and they will be delivered by Christmas. I only have one more month of bootcamp.

Lori-I guess you must be back at work. Congrats on finishing up your PT program. Hope you get to test in Oct.

Boy have I missed all of you loads and loads.

Have checked out a few of your weekly posts this past couple of months. WOW lots has happened . . .

Wendy - found a great weight loss program in WW - congrats ! Trip to FL - glad you made it back and Ms Irene left your home alone. And then didn't gain a pound ! :p Nice job. And loads of workouts I've not heard of and don't have time to check out right now.

Diana - STS again . . . I started but didn't make it more than a week and a half. Saw you were interviewing but guess that it didn't go well if you are interviewing with HR soon . . . man they need a kick in the behind ! :mad:
Had a nice time with the girls last month ! Good for you. And now you're doing w/o's in the AM. I need to start that . . . :rolleyes:

Laura - no more PIA ! ! ! Woot Woot Woot ! :D :eek: :rolleyes: :p ;) Lots of summer vacas but sorry about the knee issues. :( Hope all gets better for you soon. Woo Hoo DH is working on the house ! I love coming home to new renovations in the house.

And nearly done with your PT courses, new car, bigger b@@bies ! Man oh man what more could you ask for? hehehe :p Still getting some workouts in too - great for you ! ! !

Me - nothing much good but slowly getting better. A handful of workouts at the most in any given month. Too much work, switched assistants twice, added 100 employees (which=me doing assistant's work), too many hormones (=extra fat, less sleep, hot flashes, depression, etc . . .), 6+ hours commute(leave at 6:30AM and get home at 5:30PM totally burnt from work) ugh ugh ugh. Pity party for me, huh? :eek:

Lately I am trying to get back on track - taking classes once per week for my certification - think I'll take the Senior HR cert test in Dec. Catching up at work - assistant is doing well too. Like her lots - mature, same ethics as me and speaks fluent Spanish !

Kids are well . . . can't believe my "baby" is 22 and my GK's are 2 & 4 ! :eek:

Here is my plan - I commute with 2 other ladies so at minimum am not driving 2 days a week. I should be able to check in then at least ('cuz I really miss y'all :p). Need to get up and workout in the AM or at least most days after work. Gotta get my studying in and take the test in Dec and tackle some valuable projects at work. SMART goals to be set soon.

Hi ladies,

This morning was P90X Shoulders and Arms. I upped my weights from last week and my arms are so sore already! I'm working from home today so am heading down for a cardio session...Imax 3 is coming to mind.

I had to contact our talent acquisitions group to get the status of the job I applied for. She contacted the hiring manager who told her "they've decided to go in another direction". I work for this company and they couldn't even contact me. I guess this is the norm as several of my coworkers have mentioned the same experience. I'm just going to continue sending out my resume and hope something comes along my way.

Jacque-so glad you popped in. I've been thinking about you. Your commute sounds terrible. You know exercise is good at limiting hot flashes and stress! I'm actually doing P90X/Insanity Hybrid rotation right now. Although I've always been a morning exerciser, it was between 6:30 and 7am that I would usually start. I've backed that up to 5:40am start time. It's taking some adjusting...no lie there.

Where is everyone today?

Slow to get back to "normal". Been so hard to concentrate today.

Did 8/28's Body Rock this morning. Tough stuff but I pushed through! It was a 20 minute work out. 20 rounds of 10s rest and 50 sec work (max reps). 10 exercises done 2x through. Warmed up with jump rope-100
"skips" plus 25 jumping jacks and did 100 bicycle crunches after BR. Not sure what's on tap for tmrw. I don't have an official rotation put together yet. :eek:

Diana:: Sorry you didn't get the job. From the sounds of it though, it just might be a blessing in disguise cause maybe what you need is to get out of that company all together!

Jacque:: So great to hear from you! Think of you often!!! Come back when you can! HUGS!

Good Morning Ladies,

I got up this morning and had bday presents to open! I got a new HR monitor, the polar FT40, Dove Dark Chocolates, and a Matt Damon DVD...oh and DH brought me a bouquet of flowers last night!

I took today and tomorrow off work. This morning I took Turbo Kick and BodyPump at the rec ctr. Turbo Kick is the newest kickboxing workout, not sure if it's Les Mill like bodypump and bodystep. It was pretty fun but I guess I get a better workout from Cathe or Shaun. Of course bodypump is full body weight training, low weight/high reps. It's nice for a change, but I have much more variety at home. They do have another class I might take this afternoon, it's called Train Like A Pro: Designed to push you to the edge of your comfort level! High intensity intervals -- strength, sprints, plyometric, core work, etc….NOT FOR THE BEGINNER!

Wendy-I need to check out the BR workouts and see what kind of torture you're going through. Are you planning on sticking with BR and one body part per day...or is it time to switch it up?

Laura-What are you up to? I bet your house looks great!

Lori-you must be working, how are your workouts coming along? I exercised up until each of my kids was born, mostly step and weight workouts. How are you feeling...getting your energy back?

Diana..Nice B'day gifts! I don't have a rotation set up as of right now so I'm just flying by the seat of my pants for now. Not sure which direction I want to go in yet. Considering a mix of BR, BBL, Tonique and maybe some SS if I can fit it though so we'll see where that thought takes me...I have so much I want to do rotation wise but too stuck on BR still to be able to do it! LOL
 
This morning's work out was another variation of my jumprope/jack warm up and then the BR dated 6/28. Short but super tough! I totally under-estimated it! :eek::eek::eek:

Heading to AC in a few hours! Out of here (work) at 12:15! Whoot! :D
 
Hi ladies,

I had a great day yesterday...and literally worked my ass off! I took 4 classes yesterday. The Train Like a Pro was tough...I loved it. It's different everytime...but last night it was circuits.
20 burpess with star jump (flying angel)
50 squats
10/side Burpees into side plank
25 tricep kickbacks
10/side single leg burpee
50/side static lunges
20 burpees
50 seated back pulls w/band
20 burpees with 10 mtn climbers for each burpee
50 bicep curs w/body bar

I'm off to today but have plenty of work to do. I'm cleaning our room, cleaning out my dresser....then on to tackling going through the kitchen cabinets etc. I'm not looking forward to it but will feel so accomplished when I'm done. I'm also taking bodystep tonight per my trainers request.

Wendy-I'll have to check out that BR w/o. I have to say it's nice following a rotation, but somedays I just want to do what I want to do and not necessarily what's on the rotation. I'm actually growing tired of M1 Insanity and have 2 more weeks of it. I may just start doing the M2 longer w/o's and am definitely throwing in my own leg routine. Have a great time in AC...hope you come home a winner!

Laura-Do you have plans for the long weekend?

we are swamped - quick check in - ystdy was late for class thnx to work - they set up for 3 step torture .. so that is what I did :confused: DOMS: butt, legs, core, shoulders and hammies :confused: yowza - todays goal is to survive today - so far we are swamped and our computers have crashed once ugh - come of 5;00 bell -

Hello ladies !

Not sure there will be much "traffic" here this long weekend but I'll post just in case no one else is off celebrating the holiday. ;)

My workouts this week have been: Tues - Athletic Step, Thurs - 75 min on the TM (walk, jog, sprint combo for 30 min, walk/jog for 30 and then walk the end), Sat - Viper (first 3 cardio sections and all wts sections). Plan to w/o tomorrow and Monday then see how it goes. Will try to get up at 4:30 and see if I can get warmed up enough to workout in the AMs.

Wendy - best of luck in AC and loads of fun too !

Laura - party weekend for you - GOOOOO WAAAARRRRR EEEAAAAGGGLLLESSS !

Lori - hope you are feelin' OK and over the nausea . . .

Diana - sorry about the job promotion prospects. Sure is a bummer that such a large company is so behind the times in realizing their Human Resources are their biggest asset. Have you posted your resume online like Monster, etc? Good job with the workouts. I'm not sure I could even do an Insanity workout these days. Struggling to keep up at all with anything but hoping to get my stamina back soon. HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY. Sounds like it was a good one . . . I'm in the house organizing mode too ! :p Hope to take a few days off soon to keep going on it.
