Damage Control...Week of March 13th!

I've been MIA, but I'm around. So many visitors right now . . . DH's boss a couple weeks ago, a teamwork-group dynamics guy last week. This week I have a personal friend here. All great . . . but interupts the routine. And I just have 3 1/2 weeks till we leave. Yikes! And I would really like to drop another 3.5 pounds in those 3.5 weeks!

This morning was Intensity. I'm still learning that one, so, although it's tough, I get unplanned momentary breaks when I have to stop to see what she's doing.

Tomorrow will be STS TB for the 1st time. Yee haw!
 
Hi Ladies,

DOM's report, back and chest. Gotta love the GS series! Yesterday I only had time for GS Chest. Today I will finish up with the tricep section and plan on doing Intensity and abs. Oh, and I did all the drop sets of pushups on my toes!!!! I never know how those will go, but I was feeling strong yesterday.

I also sent my boss an email last night telling him I need to take an unscheduled vacation day today. There's more stuff I'd like to get done around the house. Nothing major, just more purging of old files and general decluttering. I have plenty of vacation and simply needed another day off.

I told my coworker that I need Insanity back at the beginning of April. She's had them since mid December when I left to have my foot surgery. She's not really following the 60 day program...too bad...I need them back. My next rotation will be Insanity and heavy wt training at the rec ctr. I hope to get some Cathe Downloads so I can use GS or other weight w/o's at the rec ctr.

LauraT-you've never had anything waxed...wow. I've had my lip/chin area done for years but am ready for it to be permanently gone. They finally have lasers that work for blond/light hair. Most laser work very well for dark hair/light skinned folks.

Wendy-do you know how long the S90 w/o's are? Sorry Joey is not feeling well. Hopefully you are right and he just ate something that didn't agree with him. The tonique w/o's definitely sneak up on you. I need to incorporate those back into my rotation somehow. Oh, the running hasn't gone as planned either. It's either been too cold or too windy at lunch to run.

LauraR-It sounds like you are ready for summer vacation. Are the kids ready to come back to the states and visit too? I still have a mis-step here or there during Intensity, but am much better than the first time I tried it. STS TB is an awesome w/o. I have to say though it didn't seem like my cup of tea the first time I did it. But now I love it!

Lori-seriously...more lulu...you sound like an addict. :) I would consider it a business expense, your uniform if you will!

Diana:: The S90's are mostly 30-45 minutes long. I did the one called Core Dynamics y'day which is only about 20 minutes long. It's all ab work. Good stuff. Glad you are enjoying GS and have a good (productive) day off! :)

LauraR:: STS TB is an awesome work out! I hope you love it as much as I do! :)

Lori:: MORE Lulu? :eek::D You are outta control! ;) Sounds like we both slept well last night! Good for us! :D
 
WED - HUMP DAY .. WOOT WOOT COME ON WEEKEND!

:cool: iT IS LOVELY OUT TODAY:cool: gorgeous day - and only about 70 degrees .. gorgeous! so I did parts of my reg mish mosh class with my 4 step torture class last night .. OMG .. gonna have to do that more often :eek: was a GREAT workout .. got every muscle and the cardio/hr was up entire time!! One of my newer students had not done the 4 step torture asked her if she had done it before .. her response: "no I havent and I dont want to do it again .. you killed me" :eek: {{{ insert evil sadistic grin }}} :D :p

Wendy - wow one heck of a workout ystdy - YIKES - ya amazing Sylwia KILLS and such light weight .. she shows NO MERCY - LOL about me not waxing .. NEVER .. my eyebrows are blonde and thinner .. and nice shaped .. I dont even pluck them .. there may be a stray here and there I have to but that is RARE .. the thought of hot wax on my bikini aread :confused: uummmm .. no thanx .. the razor will do nicely! :p

Lori - I love my lululemon shorts and top so much i am gonna order some more .. they just didnt ahve the ones I wanted in stock the other day .. so gotta wait .. they are comfy .. wick good .. and dont ride up .. thank you my dear for the reccommendation!

DI - ok .. thanks to you I had a dream that my aunt was looking at me and said "Laura .. OMG .. you have a beard .. you need to get that thing waxed" .. I looked in the mirror and I looked like a GOAT :eek: :confused: :eek: :p :p I checked the next morning .. NOPE still no hair .. LOL ... I have fine fine hair on my face .. but you cant see it .. and my legs dont have much hair either during the winter I may shave once every couple weeks or so .. consider myself lucky I suppose!!

LauraR - sounds like you been busy!! but still fittin in the workouts .. WTG!!!!

LauraR...Having the hot wax on your body is not the problem. It's when they RIP IT OFF that sucks! :eek:



So I emailed shopcathe today about my order and boy am I glad I did! Nancy responded quickly stating that the order will be shipped out today. System glitch that sometimes happens when using a gift card. If I hadn't emailed them who knows how much longer I could have been waiting! :eek::eek::eek: I will have to keep this is mind when I order the slanted risers and check on it faster if I feel it's taking too long!

You girls have me laughing! It really is more like RIPPING the wax off your face! That pretty much sums it up.:D

I did Intensity this morning and have to say I was just not that into it. I wanted to stop many times. In the end I'm happy to say I finished the whole w/o.

As I mentioned, I'm off today. I'm sitting here shredding old tax returns and cleaning out more files. Seriously, it seems as though I'm a packrat but I'm really not.

Wendy-glad you emailed customer service. My STS tower should arrive today.:D I have so many rotations going through my head....like starting STS again.

Laura-sorry about the dream...made me laugh though. I dreamt I was pregnant last night, so strange.
 
Diana...So THAT'S why you wanted to take today off! THE TOWER! Ahah! I caught you, you sneaky lady you! You wanted to make sure you intercepted it before your DH saw it! ;):D LOL-just teasin'! :D I am trying to figure out a way to incorporate more pull/chin ups into meso 2. I also want to continue with the 2nd leg day. I considered putting P90X legs and back in place of a cardio each week but that makes me nervous. I guess I'll need to mull this over a bit more! ;)
 
Wendy-you totally caught me. Actually DS and I were shopping at Kohl's and DH intercepted the tower. When we got home, DH said "your Cathe stuff is here"!:p DS put it together in about 5 minutes and now I want to do the new Lower Body Blast barre segment. Tomorrow should be legs anyway. If you come up with a rotation, please share. I'm just playing it by ear day to day, alternating cardio and weights.

It's after 8pm and I'm still shredding old documents. I try to keep up with this each year after we file our taxes, but I found bank statements back to 2001 and have been shredding them.

Good Morning Girls.

This morning was Booty Barre! I had to forgo the upper body segment due to still raging FIRE in the shoulders but I did everything else. Great work out! Had to maneuver around the base of the tower a bit to get good positioning for some of the moves but it was no big deal. I also, because I am in a small space, had to move the tower from side to side depending on which leg I was working. In the dvd they use a chair and she just turns around. I couldn't really do that b/c either I wouldn't have enough space or I wouldn't be able to see the tv. :p My legs were burning almost immediately and the sweat started to drip almost as fast. It moves quickly so I didn't get bored and she throws in some cardio moves to really get the heart rate up which I liked. My only complaint if I had to lodge one would be that to me, the abs were not tough enough. They were pilates based abs which I like but I thought they could stand to be a bit tougher. No big deal though. Still very happy I bought it! :D


Diana:: Yeah, I'm sure your DH wasn't at all surprised by the delivery...just like mine really never is! LOL The work using the tower in LBB is excellent. The double leg exercises are real thigh burners! Gave me DOMS the last time I used it. I also really like the prone glute/ham work on the floor! I've started adding ankle weights to that and OMG! :eek: Not sure what I will do as far as fitting legs and pull ups into STS for M2. I am thinking of just tossing in pull ups when ever the tower is already set up for something and then doing my leg/cardio day like I did for M1. If I use Booty Barre for leg day then I can toss in pull ups then too if I want!

Happy St. Patricks Day! Don't forget to wear green today.

So today I'm doing Tonique, disc 2. I went to collage to preview Wendy's new workout and Tonique caught my eye. It's a cardio/leg w/o IMO. I can still do heavy leg training later today if I want or add more cardio, win/win for me either way.

I may order Brazilian Butt Lift today. I'm pear shaped and need all the help I can get in that area. It may be a good time to get started toning up those trouble areas before summer.

So the temps are supposed to be 68-72, but windy doggone it. A run would be perfect, hopefully it won't be too windy though.

Wendy-the tower is bigger than I thought it would be. It will be put to good use this weekend. Not sure what I will use it for, probably LBB.

Diana:: I had good results with BBL when I did the rotation a while back. Leandro is on the goofy side for sure but the work outs are burners! :eek: The tower is big but not TOO big and very easy to move around once set up. As small as my work out space is, if I put it in the right spot I can easily do STS with out it really getting in my way when I'm not using it. I love it! Tonique2 is an excellent choice for cardio/leg day! I think the disc you are doing today is the one with the killer u/b segment in it! Get ready for FIREY shoulders tmrw! ;) Tonique Premier also spikes the heart rate something fierce. Another good cardio/leg day choice! :D
 
Finally getting my Cathe order today! WOOT! :D PS..Diana-DH is home sick today so he may intercept the order before I get home! :p

If it hadn't gotten hung up in the system I would have had it a week ago already! :rolleyes:

It's okay though...I will have time to try an Ab Circuits routine this weekend (maybe tmrw after cardio even!) and then I can use my new bands and wrist weights with STS M2 starting Saturday! :)

ETA:: Slanted risers are back in stock! I just placed my order and immediately emailed customer service to give them the heads up just incase their system decides it wants to try and keep the order to itself again! ;):p

I had a super busy day at work and didn't really get a lunch break. Bootcamp is on tap for tonight...unless I hear back from my trainer.

Wendy-glad you are getting your order! I have the slanted risers and don't think their much to brag about at all. When using the step at an angle, the slanted riser on the high side is fine but I ended up using a regular square riser for the low side. The bench slid using the slanted risers on both ends. Ab circuits offers a variety of ab work, and don't let the no equip abs fool yah!

Where is everyone today. Partying it up for St. Paddy's Day I gues..

STS TB was a good workout y-day. Not my fave on the first try, but I think it will grow on me. Trying to decide if today will be a rest day or if I will push through my workout. I'm pretty exhausted. Too much going on here!

ETA: Just did Core Max segment 3 and calling it good.

I have cardio on tap for today. I've been doing the same cardio w/o's lately so I may peruse my collection and pick something different. Otherwise it will be KPC, or Imax 3.

Today is PIA's last day and the team is taking her out to lunch. The team is also going out for karaoke tonight. DH may come with me, he sings and all...and everyone likes him.

Wendy-Nice w/o this morning! How did you like the ab circuits routine you chose? They are all good in their own way.

LauraR-You know, STS TB wasn't a favorite of mine the first time I tried it. It has grown on me and I really like it now, especially the leg work.

LauraT-What are you up to today? How was the GTG???

Lori-Did you do something fun for St. Paddy's day?

Jacque-What are you up to....besides commuting-yuck.

Tiffany-How has your week been? I can't imagine taking care of 4 kids by myself while DH is traveling for work. It would be very stressful for me. One of my DS's friends-they have 4 kids and their mom is cool and collected all the time. That wouldn't have been me for sure. Hat's off to you!

Diana:: Ooh have fun tonight! I used to go to karaoke every week many years ago..and I would sing too! I enjoyed med balls abs but chose a med ball that was too light (4#). Wanted to play it safe for the first shot at it. Well it was a good work out but too easy so I repeated it since I had the time and used a 6# ball instead. Gonna try the 8# ball next time I do it and see how I feel. Thanks for the heads up on the slanted risers. I'll watch out for that.

LauraR:: I lurve STS TB. I hope it grows on you! :)

sorry I was MIA ystdy - had female dr appnts :confused: then I took off 3 hours and went home .. spent a BEAUTIFUL day poolside w/DH :cool: :D it was gorgeous 80 degrees and sun .. felt like middle of July not March!! it is 84 today .. and tmrw to get to 85 .. all sun ... :cool: :D:D:D:D :cool: yes I am a happy camper!! No exercise to report but the fun kind ;) :eek: ;):D

Wendy - whoohoo on getting a UPS visit .. doncha luv the UPS guy!!!

Di - everytime you and Wendy mention the tower .. my pocketbook twitches :p
