Damage Control Week of April 17

I just came home for lunch and am eating a salad w/tuna. It is quite yummy!

Thanks for the advice Wendy! I'm going to take you up on it. Wow, are checkin is lacking so without Lori, LauraR, LauraT, and Jacque. Good thing we are here to keep it together!!!;) I plan on doing DWP tomorrow morning and maybe even MM after class. I'm guessing we will get done super early so it would be good time to get my w/o on!
 
I know, Diana! Not only is this check-in short on people but my other check ins are too! Very slow around the forums these days for whatever reason. I know Lori is on vacation and Jacque is just too busy these days but where's LauraT? And did LauraR leave for her trip to the states? Is that why she's not around? Tomorrow is my first OFFICIAL weigh-in for WW, btw. I'm excited! :)
 
Good Morning

We made it back safe and sound last night. We had an awesome trip. The weather was great the whole time we were away. I think it rained one morning, before we were even on the go. When we left yesterday there were alot of dark clouds around. The food wasn't awesome....but I still managed to eat a fair bit.....plus drink a fair bit and then lie down Something this body isn't use to but needed it just the same. I managed to get to the gym 4 times while I was there. It was a small gym, (even though the resort was big) and if I went when it opened , everything was already taken. It didn't open until 8 and it was to be used at your own risk so I don't know why it wasn't opened earlier. Anyway...the couple of times I did manage to drag myself it was later in the day and I was already zonked from the sun and the a/c wasn't the best in that gym. So hot and humid
We went to the casino a couple of times that was just up the road. DH managed to win everytime we went. Not real big but we left with more money then we went with. I bought myself a nice Guess purse in the duty free shop in the airport.
DS was so happy we were home but he had a great time at my parents house with my nephew. There is 2 yrs in difference but they play really well together.

Its a holiday here today...I am going to get a good workout in and then its off to work I go. I will def check in again from there. We also took tons of pics. I will try to download them later on the computer.

Welcome back Lori! Glad you had a blast! And see, I told you DS would survive and I'll bet after that first pina colada on the beach that you forgot you even had a son! ;):p:D IKWYM about the gym at the resort being hot/humid. The gym on the last cruise I went on was like that. UGH!




So today was my first official weigh in for WW. I lost 3#. Seems like a lot but I'll take it! I wasn't starving and can feel the difference in my clothes as well as see it in the mirror. :) I would have found it hard to stay with in my points range if not for the zero point foods. I ate several servings each day and they really made the difference! Kept me from going over my daily points. In fact, most days I ended up 1 or 2 under by bed time. I only used some of my Activity Points one time for the drinks I had Saturday night so it worked out well. The next month will be a challenge for me though. I have something that includes bad eating/drinking going on all but one weekend right through Memorial Day now. Guess I'll have to really start taking advantage of the extra points they provide and hope for the best! :eek: Fingers crossed!

Hey Girls

I felt better after my workout this morning....until I put my pants on:confused:;) Oh well...what do I expect!? LOL All I did was eat, drink and suntan! I am sure in a couple of days it will be gone again.

I am feeling kinda sleepy now. My manager is away, which I didn't know about....I may curl up in a ball later and have a little nappy poo!

Wendy** So what's all this talk about you going to ww's!? Are you following it online? Or just doing it on your own?

O.k...must go do some work! BBL!

Lori:: I joined WW online last friday after hearing Jen (Irishrose) rave about it for a few months. See, all the good stuff happens while you are away! LOL I haven't been able to lose weight and get under 130# to save my life lately and I knew if I could just break that barrier it would make all the difference...AND IT HAS! I am thrilled with the differences after just this 3# loss! My goal weight as it stands right now is 125# (3.2 pounds to go!). I was there after my full Insanity rotation and loved it but once I stopped Insanity I gained the weight back. Hoping WW will help me get there again AND maintain it this time. :)
 
Hi ladies,

I have a full on head cold now. The sinus are stuffy/runny and this pressure has got to go.

We got out of our training class a bit early so I'm home now. I need to plan out my workouts for the next week or so. I was planning on simply following the Asylum rotation, but I really want to do the Insanity/Asylum rotation. Like Wendy, I lost weight on the Insanity rotation. I had told my coworker she could keep them, but I'm going to ask for them back.

Lori-Welcome Back!! We've had a pretty quiet thread without you and our Laura's. Glad you had a wonderful time. I'm sure your pants will fit just fine in a few days! Can't wait to see all the pics!

Wendy-congrats on the weight loss! I'm pretty much stuck....and hover up and down the same 5#'s. It's quite frustating to say the least.
 
Diana:: Thanks. I'm very excited but also kind of afraid of what the next month of "bad" weekends will do to my progress. If it slows it down I can deal with that but if I gain weight back I'll be upset. Guess I should still watch what I eat/drink as best I can at all of these "functions"...EXCEPT for A/C ofcourse. That's always a "free" weekend for me. Waaay too much fun not to be! :D You've hit a plateau in your weight loss. Shake things up a bit in your work outs and your eating and maybe the scale will start moving again. Ofcourse you are going to do a full Asylum rotation so that may be all you need! ;)
 
Good Morning:)

We had a little sleep in today. I stayed in bed until DS started yelling out to me:) I did wake at 6:30 but quickly went back to sleep.

I also forgot to report yesterdays workout. It was 1/2 HR and about 50 mins of cardio between the TM and the bike. Today I am gonna run outside and it will probably be sooner then later.

Diana** When are you gonna start your new rotation? I am thinking about buying heavier db's today instead of changing up my routine. I think I could use 30's for chest and back no sweat. I have been using 25's for to long. I posted alot of pics but my friend as the drunk fun pics;) She is gonna make a disc for us.

Wendy** I am not gonna go near the scale for a couple of days. Yesterday I was bloated beyond belief. Probably a combo of holidays and TTOM just around the corner. I looked about 5 m preggo last night:eek: And my baby wasn't kicking!!;) I feel alot better already today. After a nice long run I will feel even better. Good job with your weightloss!!!!

Good Morning Ladies,

Although this cold is dragging me down, I'm getting a w/o in. I didn't do any exercise W-F due to the training class I was in. Today will most likely due LB wts/cardio and tomorrow will be UB wts/cardio. We'll see how it pans out.

I ended up doing PLB, Step Works, and Coremax 3. It's already a quarter to 2, and I'm eating breakfast. 1egg, 3 egg whites scrambled with 1C spinach and 1/4 C oatmeal cooked in 1C almond milk w/1 tsp almond butter.

Wendy-Well remember you have 49 weekly points to use as needed. What are you up to today?

Lori-I'm sure you'll feel better once you get back to your normal schedule. How was your run today?
 
Good Afternoon Ladies.

Well, I was planning on cooking a healthy dinner tonight from www.SkinnyTaste.com. I got up and went food shopping early and bought the ingredients for tonight's meal as well as one mid week meal. I come home and while I'm unpacking the groceries DH tells me he wants to take me out to a nice dinner since we don't have DS this weekend. How can I turn this down? :eek: So we are going out at about 5:30 for dinner and some drinks. I'm going to ATTEMPT to behave as best I can and have been trying to be skimpy on how many points I eat prior as well. I should have 15 points plus 8 AP's to use towards tonight and then I'm gonna throw all of my WP's towards tmrw. :p I should have time to make tonight's meal during the week. Doesn't look like it would take too long so it's okay.

After unpacking the groceries and eating something I did my work out. I did all of Squeeze Stronger - upper, waist , lower , abs , buns is basically how it runs. YIKES! It's a tough one and only uses weights for the warm up and upper body work! :eek: I used 10's for the warm up since it was deadlifts and started with 5's for upper but had to drop to 3's and then 2's! :eek: I followed that up with CTX Step and Intervals but only the first 25 minutes of it which got me through the first interval. My legs were exhausted (still are!) from Squeeze so I stopped a bit early. Hoping to get in cardio only before we head out for our Easter gathering tmrw. :)

Lori:: I find it hard to believe that you could EVER look 5 months preggo...not even if you WERE 5 months preggo. :p So did you get your 30# DB's yet? I'm close to using 30's for back work. I'm shuffling between 25 and 27.5# DB's depending on the exercise IIRC and for BB work I think I'm at 55#. This is all based on STS ofcourse. ;)

Diana:: Sorry, I didn't look at the dessert you want to make yet. I don't want anything to stir up my appetite before we leave for dinner. ;) Nice work out today! Enjoy your Saturday. :)
 
Good Morning:)

I think I need another coffee....the first one didn't last to long:( I don't know if its the week of relaxing that as killed me but I am in no hurry to get up in the a.m. We had two good sleeps and both mornings I felt like I had about 2 hours of sleep.

Yesterday's run wasn't the best, it was windy and again...I WAS TIRED:mad: I stopped a couple of times, then I came home and did the other half of HR. And my legs are sore today from those few lunges! LOL Almost feel like I am out of shape.

I took the plunge and weighed myself today. 123.6....not to bad. I can only imagine what I weighed my 1st day back:eek: LOL So 3-4 lbs to go really.

I am planning on doing GS C&T and some cardio. Not sure what though. I won't be running outside b/c its pretty windy and its snowing:mad:

Diana** Sounds like you had a good workout yesterday!! Did you get the ingredients for your dessert??

Wendy** Oh...trust me...I did not look great:p Bloated beyond belief and when I was 5 m preggo I kind of looked 10 m preggo:eek: Sounds like DH as a lovely evening planned for you guys! I am hoping my MIL is cooking turkey:)

Hey Girls,

Its quiet here today. Thought I would pop back and report my workout. There isn't a whole lot happening in this house today. Everyone seems pretty lazy and I think DH really enjoys it when the stores are closed! LOL

My workout (which was a pain in my rear) was GS C&T, 2 miles on the TM, 15 min on the bike and 30/30. Riddle me this....while I was away I worked out 4 times. I did some pushups 3 out of the 4 times I worked out. Probably started with 24 straight leg, and then went down the ladder. TODAY I couldn't finish anything pass the 14th drop set!:mad: I did the first 16 on my toes, and for every set between 14-8, I had to drop to my knees at some point in time. Normally I can do them all on my toes but if ever I need a break, its not until the 10th rep seg. I was soooo pissed! WTF!? Theres my vent.....

I may bbl!

Happy Easter Ladies!

I guess well need to create a next weeks thread tomorrow. I finished up the trifle this morning....and it looks delicious.

Not sure what my w/o will be, but it will have UB and cardio. I was expecting my legs to be sore from PLB but they aren't. I used 60/65/70 as my weight selections whereas Cathe uses anywhere from 25-40.

I'm more than a little uncomfortable and think I have a bladder infection. It came on yesterday and I've been drinking cranberry juice and bought some natural remedy stuff at the store yesterday. If I'm still feeling like this tomorrow then I will have to go in to the Dr. I was reading online and it said to stay away from sugar and caffeine. I need my morning coffee and am enjoying a cup right now. Hope I don't regret it later.

Lori-I don't know what to tell you about those drop sets. I feel the same way...sometimes I can do them all on my toes, other times I have do every other set on my knees...and yes it is very frustrating! I definitely agree you should get some heavier wts. I have 30's and 35's and use them both for chest/back work.

Wendy-How was your date night? Is DS excited about it being Easter?

Hi Ladies. Happy Easter if you celebrate!

I chose to do Kickmax this morning. I did ALL of it too! I hardly ever do that! :p I held 2# DB's in my hands during the combos instead of wearing my 1# gloves and wow what a difference it made! :eek: The work out kicked my azz hard so I feel a bit less guilty about all the booze I drank last night. :eek:

Sorry no time for personals. Gotta get ready to head to Easter dinner.

Back to report my w/o.....PUB and HIIT DWP! I went much heavier than Cathe on Chest/Back. I need to eat something before we head to MIL's. I'm having 1/2 C oatmeal, 1/2 C almond milk, 1 scoop prot. powder and 1 tsp almond butter.

Wendy-Wow....2#'s...that's awesome. I usually use my 1# gloves and haven't tried it with my 2# gloves. As a matter of fact, I haven't done kickmax in ages. It wasn't one of my favorites but it may be time to pull it out and give it another try. I do use the weighted gloves for KPC though.
