Damage Control...Week of 2/13

Diana:: Have fun with INTENSITY! I may do the HiiT portions fo that work out in A/C this weekend! :D Sorry work is so crazy. It's exhausting for sure. Good job keeping up with your work outs through it! As for your question regarding STS...I am still doing it if that gives you any idea of how I like it!? ;):) I am looking forward to Meso 2 but it's still another month away! :eek:
 
Hey Girls,

PUB done and now I am taking a little break before I hop on the TM. I am debating a run and then 30/30 or a circuit workout with mostly UB stuff. I don't know if I will be sore from PUB though but it was my best option.

Wendy** LOL...if muscle wasn't an option! Your crazy! LOL I remember when I use to weigh 128 and I could not get below it. I would go between 128-130 and hated to see anything above 130, so I know what you are talking about. Even though that weight was normal for me for years, I think if I gained it back I would be rotted. Not b/c of the weight but I think (somehow) my shape changed after having DS and this is why I weigh less? That's the only thing I can figure. I really don't think I eat much less then I did when I was 130. Maybe being pregnant gave my metabolism a kick or something. So what I am trying to say...is if I weighed 130 now, I don't think I would look the same as I did when I was 130 5 yrs ago. I am sure you look fantabulous whatever you weigh!

Diana** Are you following ww's now? Are you following the new plan? I am not sure whose head the light bulb finally went off in and they decided that 18 points weren't enough for people:rolleyes:. I can remember when my friends use to follow it and I don't know how they did it! Sorry to hear work is tuckering you out!! Its almost Fri though if that helps.

LauraR** Yeah, we have some weird ideas of how we are suppose to look. But yet my husband can cart around those skinny legs and arms and that's o.k? How come HE doesn't look like a GQ model? LOL Men don't have the pressures that I women have. So with all this talk about weight, what are you most comfortable at? And what are your goals?

Lori...LOL What I meant by "if muscle were not an option" was basically-if I didn't work out. Does that make more sense now? :D I think you are lying! I think the only time you weighed 130 in your entire life was when you were PG! :p
 
Morning Ladies

:cool: IT IS GORGEOUS out today!! :cool: It is to get up to 68 today and all sunshine!!! WOOT WOOT!! I LOVE IT .. but with that warm sunshine come the dreaded thoughts of getting this bod into a BIKINI for summer :confused: :( :confused: YIKES!!!! I did a power walk at lunch 4 miles - and taught triple set shaping last night (big class too).. I AM SOOOOOOOO FREAKING SORE!!! YIKES!!! :eek: my butt and hamstrings are the worse (surprise - surprise) - the quads and shoulders are coming in a close second :eek: but it hurts soooo good!!

LauraR - your weight and height sound just about right ;) no worries - I WOULD LOVE To be an INCH taller .. I am short waisted w/LONG legs I need the inch in my spine to extend my squaty torso!!!

Wendy - yup I hate saying my weight and people are usually surprised .. but it sounds so freaking heavy and fat!! But it always makes me feel better when people are surprised I weight that much!! LOL so you are headed to AC again? woohoo gonna send some winning vibes your way!

Di - yes ITA - being a "Cathlete" we tend to be more muscular/dense and therefore may weigh heavier but usually wear smaller sizes!! which is fine w/me .. I HATE going by scale weight - I like to go by what the mirror and my clothes say!!!

Lori - SNOW STILL? yikes .. I wish I could ship you some SUNSHINE - this week has been gorgeous :cool: yup you can be jealous now!! (but this is our first nice week in a LONG time) .. LOL 68 degrees and to get to 72 by FRI :eek: :D:D:D:D:D

SOOOOOO if I can get my sore arse to moving I am going for another power walk/run ... and then DH is off nights so gonna go home and hopefully get my birdfeeders out!! OK .. have a great one!
 
LauraT...I get the same thing with people being surprised at how much I weigh and it DOES help a bit. Oh girl don't talk to me about sore hams/glutes! YEOWZAS! Mine are still mildly sore from my weekend work out! :eek: Yay for the warm temps! We are warming up too. Will hit the 60's by friday! :D It will drop back to the 40's for the weekend but it will still be warm enough to hit the outlets in A/C if we want! ;) Yes, looking forward to this weekend! It's a long one! Friday night thru Monday this time! Woot! Holiday weekend so we are taking advantage! :D
 
Wendy .. did you ever do the surpreme 90 you bought?? SIL just asked me about .. she ordered it .. I knew you said it looked good .. have you done any of the w/o yet?? what do you think ... no I am NOT caving on this one .. b/c it looks a lot like what I do in my class :)
 
LauraT:: I am committed to STS so I can't do any of the S90 weight work outs. I do plan on trying the cardio and core work outs though. Just haven't quite gotten there yet. HOWEVER, Jen started the S90 rotation yesterday. She did Chest and Back y'day and Supreme Ball (?) today. Said both were excellent and her u/b is FLAMING today! ;) FWIW, I previewed the cardio and they look KILLER! :eek:

Lori - you are COSTLY enabler friend - I just made my FIRST LuluLemon purchase :eek: my credit card is still smoking!!! :eek: I bought - the groove shorts - the astro pants - and the Y tank :eek: :confused: :p I will let you know whether I want to hug your neck or whoop your little behind!! :p:p:p Hey .. I NEED new workout clothes so much .. I plan on doing clean max on MY CHEST OF DRAWERS FULL of fitness crap that I have worn out .. and start on some new collections .. althought at those prices I will have to start SUPER SLOW!!!!! LOL

I managed a RUN - it felt awesome - DID CC#5 - got too sweaty and my face was red and had to come back to work .. but I just felt like I could go forever (usually how it is when you dont have time for extended workout) ... OK .. it is FIVE ladies .. have a great night!!!;)
 
LauraT.....My plan for the morning is to give s90 legs a whirl. Appears to be only about 30 mins long so I will still have time for cardio! Stay tuned for my review!;)
 
Hi Ladies,

Intensity kicked my butt this morning. I do feel I'm having less mis-steps the more I do it. I'm close to making it all the way through. I still have to take some water breaks.

Tomorrw will be Legs, Disc 20 I think and bootcamp class at night. I was down 2.4lbs at my weigh in this today. This new program is really starting to work for me. So far I'm down about 8lbs total. Still have about 15-18 more to go.

Had my follow up appt with my foot Dr. on Monday. The surgery was successful and I'm doing great. However, I have another foot issue that needs to be addressed and it entails another surgery, wearing a boot for 4-6 weeks and no driving for 4 weeks. If it wasn't my right foot then at least I could drive. I plan on thinking long and hard about this next surgery and if I decide to have it, it won't be until the fall/winter.

Lori-yep, still following WW..the new plan. My daily points are 29 which is the lowest allowed. The plan is totally different than before, almost all fruits and veggies are 0 points which makes a huge difference. The points are based on fat/fiber/protein/carbs. It doesn't take calories in to account at all. It's a much healthier approach IMO.

LauraT-Glad to hear you are back in full swing and DOMs are your friend once again.:D We've been having warmer temps too and I'm loving it. I'm not buying into Supreme 90, I have the real deal with the X. Wendy is such an enabler. BTW, I did Peak 10 cardio and wasn't that impressed. I've only done part of the cardio/weights w/o and think that one will be more up my alley.

Wendy-do you like the downloads? I see the STS TB download is on sale this week. Have you hooked it up to your TV?

Diana--Thank you! I will HAPPILY eat my words. :) So, yday was Intensity for both of us. I'm still learning the workout, too. I am SORE today. How 'bout you? More sore even in the upper body than I was from triple PP on Tuesday! What gives? I'm supposed to do legs today, too, and wondering how that will go with the serious DOMS from all those fast power squats!

Lori--My goals . . . weigh 135 and stay within 20 to 25% body fat. Keep my upper thighs that genetically tend toward "thick" in shape. Keep my arms which tend toward "skinny" nice and full with shoulder/arm work.
 
LauraT--Yay for the run!! Are you in Alabama? You are having some warm temps. :p

Wendy--Yeah, what is it with the "size 10" and "130" pound phobias? I continue to work on being happy with what I look like and how I feel. But numbers sure do seem to matter, huh? Right now at 143 I'm feeling strong. So I'm working on being happy with it, even though I'd still like to lose 8 pounds. Good job with your ongoing LONG STS rotation!
 
Diana:: Another foot surgery? UGH. Sorry. Glad the first surgery was a success though. That's awesome. STS Legs followed by BC class? :eek: You sure are a brave one! ;) I just bought the cable over the weekend that allows me to play my downloads thru the tv. I tested it out and it works great. I purchased INTENSITY when it was on sale last week. I will dowload tonight and bring it with me to A/C this weekend so that I can do the HiiT segments if I want. I will also download Travel Fit and CCC as produced so I'll have them to use as well if I want. Down the line I will play with the WOB more but just have work outs that travel easy makes the DL's worth it for me! :)

LauraR:: ITA. I look in the mirror and I am happy. I jump on the scale and well...not so much. :confused: We all know the scale is only a very small PART of the equation but it still bugs me. I hate the numbers. I swear! :rolleyes:

LauraT:: There are definite similarities between P90X and S90 but then again, tons of differences as far as I can see. I think that even if you have P90X that S90 is worth the $20. It's cheap enough and different enough and tough enough! I THINK THAT YOU NEED TO GET IT! ;);)

So S90 legs was incredibly tough! There was a definite cardio factor involved and wow did it burn out the legs! It starts with a tough tough set of abs too! I am very impressed with this work out! It clocks in at only about 30 minutes but they are very well spent!

Di -congrats on the weight loss!! WOW you are doing great!!! bummer about your foot - another surgery :( GEESH girl you must be tuff on your feet???

Wendy - so you liked the S90 - you are such an enabler!!!!! :p 30 min workout would be great for lunch workout - are all of them around that length?? Seee you are doing it again .. LOL .. but you are usually a really good judge of a good workout and we like the same workouts too .. soooooooo *sigh* !!!

LauraR - yes I am in Alabama Southeastern AL - an hour below Montgomery - and yes we are LOVING these temps :cool: t be 68 today and tonight around 38 - we have had an unusually harsh winter - w/temps staying in the 20's for a bout 2 months - ice storms and even snow - but these temps are wonderful - giving me spring fever for sure!!! :eek: :cool: we are to have these temps for about another week too ... now in the summer you will hear me complaining about how freaking hot it is here - we have hot temps but the humidity here is so bad it makes is unbearable sometimes!!!! LOL our spring and fall temps are very short lived!! our weather down here is funny .. you literally will be wearing a parka at night in the morning and shorts in the afternoon .. LOLOLOLOL :p

OK .. so power walk at lunch - then I am teaching plyo class tonight .. maybe that will help get some of the soreness out of my legs .. have a great one!!
 
LauraT....Listen, atleast I am enabling you to buy something CHEAP unlike our beloved Miss Lori over there! :p Now remember, so far I am enabling you on only ONE work out actually done. I've previewed the cardio. It looks TOUGH but it uses weights so I am not sure how I will do with it but I think you are okay with that sort of thing. Jen has done C&B and said it's fantasic as well. Also fast paced sweaty killer like the legs apparently. She will be trying the Tabata Inferno cardio tmrw morning so I can let you know her thoughts on it! ;) Heheh on the L/B DOMS. It will be back for me again tmrw no doubt! I'm such a glutton for punishment :rolleyes: and the 90 minute ride to A/C tmrw afternoon/evening is NOT going to help it any! :eek:
 
Wendy--So let me get this straight. You say you cannot do S90 because you're in the middle of STS. But then you do it anyway? In the middle of an STS rotation? !!!!!!!!!:eek:

BTW, forget DOMS. It's just OMS! :D There's no delay. I'm sore TONIGHT from GS: Legs! :p
