Good morning chicas !

Getting us started for what is turning out to be a quick week. Already Hump Day and still too much to do.

   No workout to report for my yesterday.:eek::rolleyes::confused:

By the time I "played" on the computer my legs were swollen from sitting in the computer chair and it was still pretty warm. Dinner time also. So I thought I might hop on the TM when dinner was done, and that was getting late. So just before I was done with dinner DS1 called and then it was 9:30. No good excuses, now that will have to be my rest day for the week.

Going to be a 100' again today. Will def be doing something at lunch - hopefully nothing to do after work and tonight I'll hop on the TM as soon as I get home.

Well I was feeling guilty for slogging yesterday so just finished CC#1 revised before work. Kept a good pace all the way through - nailed the sprints for me at least ! 2.5 miles & 3,700 steps already and it's not even 7 AM. Perhaps this will get me started in the AMs again. Of course, waking up by 5 AM helped too ! ;)

Enjoy your day ladies !

Hey Girlies!

I wasn't around yesterday again...all of my time seems to be spent outdoors these days. Ah....before I know it there will be stupid white stuff all over the ground again! I also got called into work yesterday 2 x's....on my day off:confused::mad:. Its funny how I can do things that no one else can. I also asked someone to work last Sat night for me (ages ago) and she said she would if she were free, well...she was and still didn't do it. Guess who called today and wanted me to work next Thurs for them??? What nerve!

I did a run late last night again. Im not sure how far I ran but I was gone for 88 mins. It was getting dark when I left so i Had to change my route a little and slow down b/c I didn't want to fall!

Jacque** Good job getting that workout done early!!! My legs were pretty stiff when I woke up and I was STARVING! Im not sure if I will take today off or go for another run tonight. I guess it depends on when DS goes to bed.

I will bbl!

Lori:)

Hi ladies,

I'm back....I got back Monday night, later than expected. My flight home ended up being delayed for an hour. We all boarded on time and were lined up to take off. When we actually hit the runway we taxied very slowly and it was quite obvious that we were not going to be taking off. Finally the pilot came on and said we had to return to the gate for some paperwork. By the time we actually took off it was an hour late.

I did not workout at all while I was visiting. It was such a short trip I didn't really have time. My baby girls are doing so good. I will try to post some pics from the baptism this weekend. I'm a little concerned for my son, he is not working and hasn't made any friends. I bought him some groceries and filled up his jeep with gas and also gave him $$ to get an Oregon driver's license. He didn't ask for anything, I simply just did it. Hopefully things will turn around for him soon.

I see you all kept yourselves busy while I was away. Wednesday's are my early work days so I still don't have a w/o to report. I'm a little tired after giving blood yesterday though. I may make it to the rec ctr for some kind of w/o. I would prefer to walk but it is too hot outside.

I was planning on another week or 2 of GS but am leaning towards throwing some KBs around this week. My new KB's haven't been touched yet. I have 3 kb w/o and can run or do cardio on the days between. Might give that a try for the next few days and see how it goes.

Laura-It sounds like you had a great fishing trip. Sorry DB couldn't make it though. I too need to exercise some damage control myself!

Lori-are you still doing STS or just running? You sure do put in a lot of miles each week. You are probably too nice and told your co-worker you would work for her...didn't you!

Jen-How are you doing without the kiddo's? Are you pampering yourself? I certainly hope so. GWF-is it easy to set up your foods using the GWF? I use fitday which is pretty simple, is it comparable to that? I'm really hope to order one for my birthday in September.

Jacque-do you have time to run home and w/o at lunch? Sorry your house is too hot to w/o in. Fortunately I have a basement and it is always much cooler down there. The rest of the house is kept cool too since our A/C has been fixed and a programmable thermostat installed. Do you have A/C, or is it not really needed where you are? Good job getting that morning w/o in.;)

Wendy-not sure if you're checking in or not...but hope you are having a great time.

Afternoon ladies !

Lori - well I would definitely enjoy the outdoor weather while it is good. I'm a tad bit spoiled as we don't have snow here in CA and it doesn't get much below freezing here - even then it only lasts a couple weeks.

Great job with a long run last night - guess you ran for me too, right ? :p (If only we could have others like you with your high energy burn some cals for the rest of us ! ;)). Well hope you didn't get called in a couple times today too - some people are just nice about helping others and other are just good at taking advantage of them. I'm more you than your co worker. I rarely ask anyone for anything, yet I say yes to others frequently. It is something I have worked hard on changing for many years and am doing better. "NO" has entered my vocabulary and getting used more and more.

Diana - so glad you enjoyed yourself with your family. I'm just like you with the kids too. Whenever I see them I do something for them - gas, groceries, take them food, etc. It is just little things but heck that is how my parents were. I sure hope he can find work soon. Must be hard with any schools out and college people looking too. I think I may be getting a GWF too - just hope that it helps track cals burned pretty close to "real". That is what I need. Not sure how I could be over eating most of the time but wonder if I am undereating? If I'm not, then dang turning old !

I live only about 7 min from work so that leaves me 25 - 30 min for a quickie workout and then a quick lunch of leftovers. Works well and keeps me in check. Occasionally if work is not going well then I just veg at home. Today I did 2X through my set of 5 lunges X 20. Was slightly sweating - but no worse than here in the office where it is getting a bit warm. My house has been in the high 80's and we don't have A/C. Will have a couple months off and on where it gets warm enough to make you sweat when sitting around - I just wear fewer clothes and drink lots ! I wasn't even hungry for dinner last night because of my fluid intake.

Jen - hope the day is going well for you. What have you been doing while you're "kidless"?

Toodles for now. . .

Hello ladies!!

I was in creditor's meeting all day today (I wish they had a "blech" smilie). I literally have not gotten off my butt today. I decided not to workout this morning, and then I couldn't even take a walk at lunch because I wasn't in the city I work in, I was an hour away in a different city where there is a lot more crime. Not friendly walking area at all. And tonight I'm going to the movies! So to say today is a rest day is an understatement :eek::eek:

Jacque: Great job getting that run in this morning! It really sets the right mood for the day, IMO. I haven't been doing anything special while the kids are away, to be honest, and yet I've been completely busy. I don't get it. One thing I haven't been doing is housework, though! Oy, I have got to get the vacuuming done soon. It looks like my dog exploded around here.

Diana: I really haven't used the GWF site for food logging. I use My Food Diary which is a site that I pay for and have been using for a while. I pretty much have my food lists all established there and everything, and I'm so used to it, that I really couldn't get myself to work with the GWF site. I have read that it's not quite as friendly as the sites that we use, though. Nonetheless, I don't think it's enough for you not to invest. I highly recommend this little gadget.

Lori: What did you decide on that run today? Boy, I wish I had your stamina. Ugh, I hate feeling taken advantage of...you'd think that it'd be common sense that if you do someone a favor you'll get the help you need in return when you ask for it. Well, she's going to owe you one now, isn't she?

Off to see Harry Potter! DSO and I are both big fans having read all the books. This should be fun. Will bbl or in the a.m. to see what's been going on ~

Evening girlies !

Well I finished up the evening with Jillian's Burn Fat Boost Metabolism DVD which came in the mail today! :p Very basic circuits of multiple "old school" body weight calisthenic type movements. Simple but after 45 minutes I had burned 475 calories and was drippy sweaty. Total burned cals for just my AM run & PM cardio = 750+ Hope my HRM was correct. I know I burned a bit with my lunges at lunch but more than cals, the leggies burned a bit too ! All good.

Jen - bummer you had no time for a workout this AM and then away from "work" during lunch. I'm J E A L O U S as I wish I was seeing HP tonight !
I'm a super fan also - read every book as soon as it was released and have seen & purchased all the DVD's. I think the stories are so great - the images portrayed in your head as you read and then the gorgeous scenery and settings are spectacular. Love the school and it's surroundings too. This is one of my favorite stories of the series. Can't wait. Need to check out tix for this weekend perhaps. Sometimes I keep busier when I don't have my usual routine schedule as it leaves time to do things you have wanted to do forever but couldn't work it in. Good to hear you "seem" to be enjoying yourself (other than work !).

So your honest opinion of the GWF is it is pretty accurate for calculating calorie burn? Are you typically losing a lb for the times you have been calorie deficit for approx 3500 cals according to the GWF and your food tracking?

I'm at a loss - and unfortunately it isn't a weight loss - on what to do with myself. I think I see differences in my physique but the scale, Ormron body fat % and tape measure aren't showing it ? ? ?

Well off to water before the plants dehydrate. We only made it a bit above 90' today so it has been much nicer. Breeze is starting to kick in so need to open windows to cool it off.

See y'all in the AM ! ;)
