Good Morning!

Just getting us started! I pulled a Wendy and I was last to check in last night and I caught up on personals!:p

Today's workout will be cardio, LB and abs. My UB is still sore from Tuesday's workout. I wanted to try my lulu lemon capris but I think its to hot here.....I will check it out!

Workout complete! Did 3.5 miles on the TM, MM leg work and CM#2. I also tried my new clothes and its really nice!

Good Morning.

6 week 6 pack is done. I didn't have time for all of it as originally planned b/c I overslept but I did all of the 1st work out and 1/2 of the 2nd one. I WILL do it in full and SOON! It rocks! :eek::D:)

I am STILL sore .. yikes!!! Not sure if I will get a workout today or not .. :mad: .. have a ton of errands to do .. but if not I intend on tackling the new Paul Katami KB workout tmrw morning!! :confused: I am kinda scared!! LOL

Wendy .. I swear .. you ARE the GREAT ENABLER ... yes I previewed the 6 week 6 pack DVD and it does look pretty darned good .. I have not been impressed w/Jillians workouts though .. but that one looks good. I have to go to Wallyworld today ..so will look there .. if they dont have it I will order it from Collage!!

Lori .. LOL about your DH .. he misses Christmas already?? poor baby .. he must have had an EXCELLENT Christmas holiday!! and he obviously ALREADY thinks you are in WICKED shape!! ;)

So what is everyones plans for the New Year celebration?? I am going to be boring married person .. DH was supposed to be off tmrw .. now found out he has to work tmrw AND SAT :mad::mad::mad: soooooo I guess I will be watching Dick Clark/Ryan Seacrest Rocking New Year Eve!! LOL that is so sad!!! :( :p:p:p can you say OLD!!!!! :p

Good Thursday (faux Friday) morning ladies !

Well I skipped a workout last night :eek: and opted to watch the hockey game and catch up on a couple of work things (while I sat on the couch with a laptop!) Unfortunately the hockey game didn't go well at the end - but I accomplished some work ! :p

Lori - Yep - eat cleaner and workout smarter has always been on my list. I have maintained my weight lately but haven't been doing either of the previously mentioned. :rolleyes: I always seem to get in a rut the end of the year - my upper back is bugging me again just like it did last year - thinking the lack of workouts and stress combined. I am trying to work it out now and hope I don't need PT again. Not sure I'll be doing STS as written either - but it will be an attempt at gaining strength again. Nice job on the w/o this AM.

Wendy - yep - creaky, grindy shoulders is what I have these days. And as much as it hurt when I was doing my shoulder exercises, the shoulders never did DOM ? :confused: I will be finding modifications for all the push up in STS for sure - I can usually bang out about 10-12 normal and then have to modify from there. Even bench press/flies with heavier wts (>15) make it grind and eventually hurt. Ah well, I do what I can ! Interesting idea about 3 days cardio to overcome the bloat from lifting heavier. Hmmmmm . . . I gained with STS also - was hungry as a horse ! Eating will be a key for me to gaining strength cuz I'm just not a foodie right now.

Diana - How's the back end this AM after your hip lifts with 50#? ITA what a great add on to LIC. Did the girls get a good night's sleep and are now raring to go? What do you have planned while they are here?

Laura - Are you any warmer today? Our weather is back and forth every few days right now. Did ya catch up on your paperwork? Off tomorrow? ITA that Jillians 6/6 is a great DVD. I have only done #2 once but wowser it was a sweatfest and great compound lt. weight w/o.

Off to get a movin' - we'll most likely be out early and I need to get a mound of stuff done. Been piddling around kinda messing with things I shouldn't be paying attention to right now . . . (need to be done but not high precedence! :rolleyes:)
 
I'm back.

So I have some nice DOMS in my rear delts from MMA KB y'day. I think it's the rear delts anyway...it's in the back of the shoulders...the part I lovingly refer to as the "chicken wings"! :p

So in my mind I have committed myself to doing Cardio Core Circuit tmrw morning. Originally it was going to be Insanity but I actually fear CCC MORE! :eek: I will do it though. I think I can I think I can....;) I want to make a good pre-emptive strike against this coming weekend's eats/drinks while I still can! :rolleyes:

Laura:: Awww, so sorry you are gonna be alone tmrw night. :( Hop on a plane and join us in A/C! ;) I like Jillian's work outs. Much prefer her solo stuff to the Biggest Loser ones though. I did them a lot in the past. Haven't reached for them much lately but I will again I am sure! It's just a matter of too many workouts and too little time to do them all!!! I am also dying for another SLIM SERIES rotation! When do I fit it all in though!? :rolleyes:
 
Hi Ladies,

I slept in until 8am this morning, but didn't get to bed until after 11. We need to get the girls on a schedule in our time zone. They got up late yesterday, took ther nap late and didn't go to bed until late. Rallie Mae is quite good, Rylee can really test my patience.

So there are some nice DOMs in the shoulders and glutes from yesterday. It's so nice to finally be able to do cardio. I'd like to try BM2 today, I'm trying to remember if there is a lot of high impact in the dvd. Usually I can just modify, but don't want to have to modify the whole thing. I may give Jillians 6pack abs a try also, just modifying or eliminating the cardio blasts.

I'm just wondering, is anyone planning on going to the Disney World Road trip over the 4th of July? It's not in our budget, but it would be great fun if we could all meet there! We spend a couple grand on just seeing the girls 2 times per year. I try not to complain, but it cuts into our own vacation budget and affects our own family.

We always stay home and rent a ton of movies for NYE. We try to stay up until the kids get home. DS2 doesn't drink and DS1 said he is the Designated Driver. Hopefully he realizes that means he can't drink either.

Lori-here's the Tom Venuto site for BFFM, it is an ebook that I downloaded, saved to cd and had printed at kinko's. The Great Enabler, I mean Wendy-you've talked me in to trying 6wk/6pack abs today. If my son wasn't sleeping in the basement, I'd use my elliptical and do a CC w/o. So far I've not experienced the burning or shooting pain in bottom of my foot, so removing that nerve appears to have been successful.

Jacque-Everyone needs a rest day! No worries about skipping your w/o. I need to pay bills and file stuff, not sure when that will get done with the girls here. I plan on taking them to some drop in classes at the rec ctr next week and to some book stores/library for story time. Other than that, we've to the playground and they also like the playground at the nearby park too.

Laura-sorry to hear DH has to work. Maybe you can hang out with some of your girlfriends instead of sitting home alone. I haven't been impressed with Jillian's w/o's either, but just purchased Shred it with Weights and the 6pack abs. We shall see.

Time for me to finish up my coffee and go w/o.
 
Jacque:: Push ups don't seem to bother my shoulder. Chest flys with too heavy of a weight or if I go down too low will hurt though. Shoulder rows (is that the name??) bother me too.

Diana:: Enjoy 6wk/six pack today! *insert evil grin here* If you want more of a cardio kick then do w/o #2 but be careful with your foot as there is impact in this work out. If you want more floor ab work and less cardio then do w/o #1. They are both excellent w/o's in their own right though.

Today hasn't been nearly as boring as yesterday! Ugh! It was painful! I have a few things to do but my manager went home for lunch so my work was put to the side and now I am playing with FB and Cathe:p

Wendy** Nice workout this morning. I don't know if I posted it here or on another thread but I was surprised when I did CCC the other day. I had only done it once prior to this and it was first when those workouts were released. I didn't think the workout was tough enough so I added a 4 mile run on after!:eek: Everyone kept telling me I was nuts and I was thinking..."no you guys are nuts cause that workout is lameo!" LOL....My mind was changed last week when I popped it in for the 2nd time. Either I didn't give it my all the first time or I was in much better cardio shape (which is possible cause I was training for the mary at the time). Anyway...have fun with it! :D

Diana** I am going to look into that book a little further now that my manager is out. I could print it off here, although it would be on normal sheets of paper...but that's my only option anyway. I wouldn't mind reading it before the rest of my material comes for my course. I am not sure how much more info my brain can handle! Hope the girls are being nice for you! I know all about kids that can test patience...I have one next door and one living in my house. I think my neice loves the fact that DS can't talk and she blames him for stuff. I seen him reach for something the other day and while he was reaching he kind of nudged her off of her chair that she was hanging off of, he didn't even know she was there and then she started saying " Rylan pushed me". It wasn't a push but that's a example of if I didn't see it, she would have cried and he would have gotten into trouble for something he knew nothing about. This kid is 6 and is soooo high maintance.Irritates me when I talk about it. When he starts talking more she won't get away with the stuff she gets away with now. We have watched her tons of time provoke him and she didn't know we were watching. Anyway...enough about that.

Laura** Sorry to hear you are spending the night alone...now if I were spending it with Ryan in person then I would be super excited and *ahem* I wouldn't mind that DH was at work!:p Just me and a bit of Ryan.......hehe!!

Jacque** Are you working today? And you skipped your workout last night??;) I opted to take a rest day as well. I felt so much stronger today...or maybe it was my new workout clothes! LOL

I may bbl.....feels like I am getting the time to chat again, for now anyway!

OK .. TRAFFIC IS INSANE AND PEOPLE DONT KNOW HOW TO DRIVE HERE :mad::mad::mad: WTH?????????? and WHY would walmart NOR Winndixie NOT have black eyed peas ??? NONE .. NONE right here at NYE ??? WTH??? VBF is in another town shopping .. gonna get her to see if she can find some .. we have 3 more grocery stores here .. but I ran out of time .. UGH .. made myself ILLLLL at lunch ... ugh!!! I gotta have my black eyed peas on NY day for LUCK!! Found the collard greens {ack - sputter} .. they are for money .. and this is the ONLY time I FORCE myself to eat them - NY day :p have to pinch my nose and not breath to get them down though :confused::confused::p

and OF COURSE wallyworld didnt have the 6 week 6 pack either :mad: think they had every other Jillian DVD but that one .. so guess I will be ordering it .. hey... I will see if VBF can find it on her shopping excursion too ... ;) she is a shopping PRO!!!

Well I wont exactly be all alone NYE .. DH will be home ..but will go to bed prbly around 10 or so ... so at least we can have date night ;) :D.. we live about 30 miles from town .. so I try not to go out "celebrating" w/Friends unless I have a DD .. soooo it is best I am at home anyways!!!

Lori .. ya Ryan makes for a nice NYE date huh??? ;) I was kinda the same way w/CCC.. thought it was a good fun workout but not killer .. but then did it again a couple weeks ago and I thought I wasnt gonna make it thru .. had that puke factor in it that time .. ugh .. I must not have been doing my all the first time .. ??? but I did it when I was doing Insanity so that may have been a factor too ..??

Wendy .. OMG .. I WOULD LOVE to meet you in AC .. woohoo.. we would have a blast!!! wouldnt that be nice!!!

Jacque .. yes it is milder today .. and tmrw to get up to 70 .. HUGE difference from this past weekend!!! Work is better for now.. just playing catch up!!!

so we had pot luck tailgating today .. OMG .. soooo much fattening junk food .. UGH .. I have not done real bad .. but not real good either .. may have to change my workout add on a HiiT to the KB w/o .. :eek::eek::eek:

Hi Ladies,

Well when I got downstairs I settled on BM2 Bootcamp premix, 78 minutes. I'd never done this premix before. It has the warmup, then the power circuit segments separated by weight work and an ab segment, then the no breakdown cardio from the beginning of the workout and ends with weights, abs and a stretch. It was a nice workout and hit fit the bill of getting cardio and weights in today.

We are supposed to get 7-10 inches of snow today and there is a winter storm warning until midnight tonight. It kind of sucks because we are supposed to go to MIL's for dinner and have the girls open their xmas gifts.

Lori-I think CCC is a goodie and love to have the breaks for the core work. I actually wish it had more core work though. Your niece dows dsound high mntc, and she's only 6-oh my. BFFM would take a ton of paper if you wanted to print it yourself.

Laura-hope you find you black eyed peas! I searched our stores for 6wk/6pk abs and couldn't find it either. Ended up ordering it from amazon. I had to modify some of the pushups as my pushup endurance is non existent right now. Been doing them on my knees for a while but am getting back to straight leg pushups.

Wendy-May have to give the Jillian ab workout a try tomorrow. I think tomorrow will be a straight cardio w/o with abs.

Jacque-take care of your shoulder. I've heard that joint creaking and popping isn't hurting anything (Dr. Oz), if there is pain that's a different story. My knees creak a lot.
