Good Morning!

Just wanted to start the thread and say "im outta here"!:D Leaving in a couple of mins for the airport.

Also I received my bib # last night and its 2473 and you guys can go to www.sportstats.ca . To view the results. It says that the website is updated every 30 sec so I don't know if that's finishing times or tracking me all the way?

Anyway....hope I survive the heat!! Have a good weekend everyone!

Good Morning.

Rest day for me today. Tmrw I plan to start STS 1RM's! So excited! Jen will be starting this weekend as well but possibly not tmrw. :)

I worked out after dinner last night and posted what I did in yesterday's thread so if ya didn't see it and are intersted, it's there!

Jacque:: Sorry for the blahs and the lack of work outs. I don't mind switching dvd's. Used to be a PITA but I got used to it. I've considered getting a multi disc player but it's really not worth it IMO. I'm too technologically challenged to be bothered! LOL

Diana:: Oh ok well since you've done the super early morning w/o's before then the early BC class shouldn't be THAT bad for you. Maybe it'll influence you to get up a bit earlier for your work outs all the time! (if that's what you want.)

Ok, time for a shower...not sure if I'll bbl or not. With Lori on her way the marathon and the thread being as quiet as it's been, I may just wait to come back until tmrw. I'll be checking though so don't hesitate to post if you pop in! :D

Hi Ladies,

I'm so glad it's Friday. What's everyone doing for the long weekend? DH is going to a party on Sat but I don't want go...so I'm staying home, helping a girlfriend move and more purging of our clutter.

My legs and knees are quite sore and I know it's because I'm in desperate need of new shoes. Hope to pick up a pair on my way home from work tonight. Loved the kickbox w/o yesterday. Although I want to start the GS w/o's, my whole body is in need of weights today. I've only done short cardio except for yesterday...all week. Muscle Max is my choice for this morning.

Is anyone interested in doing another round of Insanity? I would like to mix Insanity with GS or other weight training. If things ever slow down at work, I could do the cardio in the am and weights at lunch.

Wendy-when will you and Jen be starting STS? I may be interested in doing another round of that possibly in late July/Aug. Nice w/o last night! Actually, I would like to start working out earlier....may have to starting next week in order to get Jerod to speed/agility/weight w/o's and summer football.

Lori-you will be great...I'm so excited for you and will track you. Did they give you a chip for your shoe? Maybe the chip is in your bib but that's how we can track you.

Jacque-Do you have anything planned for the long weekend? I've been working on decluttering the last couple of years. My basement is looking better since I just gave a bunch of boxed to my girlfriend that is moving. What do you say...are you up for another round of Insanity...they are shorter w/o's...at least month 1 anyway.

Laura-I'm guessing you'll be having a pool party....wish I was there. The temps are going to be in the mid 80's to low 90's here, a pool would be great. Rest, relax and hope you feel ready to w/o soon. Sounds like your rib will take a bit longer...don't push it.

Last night I ended up doing The Gauntlet - HST was on the rotation and I don't have it so did a different circuit. Great since I just did IMax 2 and remembered all the step/blast routines.

Lori - so you aren't taking a laptop? (Not that you can answer that without it! :p). Thanks for the link - will check it out.

Wendy - good job getting that workout in last night. Woo Hoo 1RM's. Will be interested in what you think. Kinda fun to do them and you get a bit of a workout in while in the process. How are you planning on attacking them? I think I remember printing the list and doing all the 5's, then the 4's, etc. Never did all of them since many are similar and I pretty much could guess what my # would be. Enjoy your rest day ! Anything fun this weekend?

Diana - Happy to hear you are excited about your new project at work ! When are the plans for early morning workout starting? With the sun coming up earlier and the fact that I'm usually awake by 5ish at the latest, I really should do my w/os in the AM since my day usually ends with me not wanting to. Perhaps you early birds will *gently push* me into changing up my workout time? :rolleyes:'

Laura - how much longer do you have to do your walking campaigning? Is the election next week or the week after? Ugly pics of the oil spill - how much is it affecting your lifestyle there?

Off to get moving - think I'll go in a bit early since we usually close early and I have month end to complete !
 
Diana:: My target date to start is June 21st or there abouts b/c I want the first recovery week to coinside with my vacation in July. I am starting to blend Insanity back in to my schedule and plan to do it 2x per week during STS even so if you do a rotation you will not be completely alone in it even if no one does a full rotation with you. :) My DH may go to a party on Sunday night. I might just PUSH him out the door! LOL Get to the store for new shoes before you really hurt yourself girl!!!!

had my all day HOT meeting ystdy .. was outside under a tent in a park .. but it was ok .. nice breeze blowing and we got to leave early afterwards :D ... Sooo I went home and laid by the pool! :cool: today is TGIF .. whew .. cant beleive May is about gone .. GEESH!!!! where does time go?????

Jacque .. I think I am done walking .. SIL wants to go this afternoon after work .. but it is FRI .. and it is Memorial Day weekend .. and GRADUATION at the high schools ... and TRAFFIC is INSANE .. I mean crazy insane .. beach traffic PLUS memorial day traffic .. our town is not really built for this kind of traffic load!! the election is next TUESDAY .. June 1 .. :eek: we are soooo nervous :confused: :( OIL SPILL: OMG it is just tragic .. so far our FL beaches are not affected YET .. but it is slowly moving that way .. every couple of days they expand the no fishing boundary .. it is just devestating to LA though ... I dont know what those people are going to do . . you are talking YEARS or a decade of NO fishing/gathering .. :( .. and that is their livlyhood!

DI .. well there is a huge event going on about 5 miles from my house .. they close down our county road .. and hoodlums and thugs fly up and down the road .. something that would not be allowed for any other group of people .. but it always gets out of hand .. and they have been known to come up in our drive up to no good .. so we are staying home .. to watch our house and animals .. it should be shut down and I dont know why nobody has done anything about it ..??? so I wil be having a pool party for myslef .. LOL!!! we hope to have the family over Sat or SUN .. and have invited another couple ... gonna smoke some pork and chicken on the smoker and CHILL OUT!!

OK .. so today I was lifting a watermelon out of grocery store buggy .. OMG .. forgot my muscle was torn .. and my ribs were feeling better so wasnt thinking about them . I lifted it and OCHIE . my tricep pulled again .. man it hurt .. and my rib is now aching again ... :mad::(:mad: .. I am hoping this is not gonna set me back .. I am planning on attempting a workout tmrw .. minus ABS .. I was thinking would try BBL - bumbum ... we will see how it goes!!

Jacque:: Sorry I didn't respond sooner. Somehow I completely missed your post when I came back and posted about my DOMS! DUH! :rolleyes: I am only using STS for upper body right now so I will just make the 1RM's an upper body w/o 2x per week until they are done. I really don't plan on doing anything other then the 5 star exercises right now but since only doing ub may do 4 star as well. It really depends on how long it takes me.
Good job getting a work out in last night! I hope you can get one in today too! :)
 
Laura:: Oh no worries girl! I got my wine in AFTER my work out! :D Sorry your hurt yourself lifting that melon (LOL-sounds funny!). Be careful attempting to work out tmrw! You don't want to make it worse! I am going to have to forgo the wine until later tonight as well! DH, DS and I are going out to eat and shopping when I get home from work tonight but it's Friday so when I DO get home later I'll be treating myself to a captn and coke or 2! YUMMO! Funny you should mention the pool. I plan to set up Joey's baby pool and lay out by it ALL weekend!!!!! :cool:
 
Hi ladies,

Today was a long day....it used to be we got to go home early before a long weekend, not anymore! I finally left around 5:30. I didn't get lunch until 1:30 and was starving by the time I got home.

I need to go food shopping and to Kohls for some cross trainers, the rest of the night should be quite peaceful.

My legs and shoulders are already sore from Muscle Max this morning...expect even more DOMs tomorrow.

DH had a furlough day today and he just went to the basement and is playing rock band or guitar hero, not sure which.;)

Laura-sorry about the melon incident. I'm sure when it's not hurting its hard to remember that you are still injured. Hang in there, soon enough you'll be working out at 100%.

Jacque-What are you up to today?

Wendy-have fun with the kiddo tonight!
