Hi ya Peeps! :)

Today is a leg work out and a possible run if I have time. I have decided to add one leg work out per week to the lean phase. Should make for some nice DOMS while I am walking the city blocks tmrw!:p

I have a ton to do in addition to my work out and I can get overwhelmed easily. I hope I don't freak out!:confused:

Ah well...better get started then!

Hi ladies,

I am beat. Last night's training:
5 min spin bike
run 12 sets stairs
spin 5 min
run 10 sets stairs....continuing doing 2 sets less of stairs each time and then finishing off with a 5 min run on the track. It took about an hour and 15 minutes.

I should be heading downstairs for Bi's, Tri's and shoulders this morning. I just feel like my body needs a break. Really, its just my lower body so I should be fine. I'm just overly tired from being in a training class all week.

My cathe order arrived yesterday, x-vest, slanted risers-with a dvd, the weighted gloves were b/o. I think the x-vest will come in very handy for me! I 'll have to check out the dvd, I didn't know that was coming. One of the instructors is Kimberly Spreen and I like her (absolute kickboxing).

Wendy-good luck on the p/t job. I'm for Jacque's suggestion, a PS Roadtrip. We all w/o together, we could all recover together and keep each other laughing. Is Sal back at work yet? I'm keeping my fingers crossed him. I never got to the lean phase but it looks like w/o's I would enjoy.

Jacque-sorry to hear about the back. It's no fun to be injured, especially now when we are lifting at our max. Take care of yourself.

Mornin'-Lori, Laura and Jen.

Hi Girls.

I am stressin' right now. I want to work out to try and burn off some of the nervous energy (as well as the pukey feeling!) but not sure I have the attention span for it. The whole issue with employment and getting care for Joey is really bothering me. I'm nervous about getting a job and scared that if I find one I won't be able to accept it due to troubles getting Joey taken care of. Calgon take me away!!!!!

Today's work out will be L&G I think. I was going to do B&G but I think I'll do something a tad lighter to start with. Besides, I'd like to be able to WALK in NYC tmrw. :p Cabs cost a fortune!

Diana: I ordered the weighted gloves in order to utilize the 20% coupon and got them right away. When did you order them?? Your classes sound tough! You are a tough cookie though so I know you'll keep up! :) Do you think you will actually do the triathalon? A PS RT sounds great to me too but first let's see if I even get the job! ;):D

Jacque: Sorry about your back. Sending healing vibes your way! Loved the PS RT idea! :D

Well off to get some laundry going and then I will bite the bullet and start doing L&G. I'm sure once I get going I'll be fine and I'll feel better once I'm done. I have a 2pm appoinment with the guy who runs the aftercare program at Joey's school to see what we can do about that situation. Keep your fingers crossed that it all works out for us!

Hey all!

Just finished CLX Burn Circuit 2 and, oh my, was that tough! I though I might tack on some cardio on the treadmill after that, but there was no way...I was completely whipped.

Wendy: Deeeeeep breath!!! These things always work out the way they're supposed to, so just have faith. You'll hear something on the job very soon, and worry about child care after that. So what show are you going to tomorrow? I'm so jealous....I love NYC.

Diana: Good God, that was quite a workout! No wonder you're beat today! A rest might be in order. Enjoy your new fitness purchases! What's better than that?

Off to do some laundry~

Hello Again.

Decided on Legs and Glutes for the lower body torture. OUCHEES and am I going to feel THAT tmrw! :D

I just finished a very very VERY rough draft of my resume. I will get on the phone with mom later. She will help me clean it up and make it "prettier". The dr's office still hasn't called me back! WTH! I am going to call them back today to see what's going on but at this point I will wait until after my 2 pm appointment with the Aftercare Program guy. At least I will know what's going on with that and it will make the entire job hunt process a wee bit easier on my nerves...

Jen: We are going to see "Rock of Ages". It's a brandy new musical that I immediately new DH and I just HAD to go see. It's all 80's music which is what DH and I grew up on!!!! :D:D:D Glad you loved LC #2. It just keeps getting better! Wait until you do the cardios!!!!! :p

Guess that's all for now...BBL though!:)

Is that Def Leppard I sense being invoked??? Oh, now I am crazy jealous! My sister and I would LOVE that musical, and it might just be motivation enough for us to plan another jaunt into the city...finances permitting! You'll have to give me your review when you return.

You and I are the same age for the next 4 months or so, as I turn 38 in September. I was a huge fan of all the 80's hair bands :D In fact, last time SO and I were at Foxwoods, we went into the Hard Rock Cafe's gift shop and they had a t-shirt designed by Jon Bon Jovi himself. Yah, of course I had to have it! Love him....

Have a blast tomorrow. How's the weather supposed to be?

HAPPY FRIDAY ! ! !

I'm needing a break from Excel spreadsheets at the moment !

Wendy - ditch the eebie jeebies - it will all work out for the best, no matter how it seems ! Remember we all have great vibes here that get us through just about anything, right? It is the Damage Control pact you know ! ! ! :p <<<good employment/day care>>> vibes on their way to you and Joey ! Ah yes, L & G - one of the first FitTV workouts I saw and fell in love with. Brings back some memories it does. . . Good to have Mom review your resume for additional tips. Hope your daycare appt went well. Were you walking funny after that workout? I'm sure the dr. office will call - maybe they aren't in a hurry, or the message never made it? Guess you'll see soon with your follow up call.

Diana - WOWIE KAZOWIE what a workout you had last night. Hope your STS went well. Bet you will be drained for the weekend, huh? Will be hard not to "play" with all your new gear . . .:p

My newest GS is named Leif Allan so his initials will be LAL (I teased my son it would be close to LOL in cyber speak !). He looks very similar to his older brother so it will be fun to see how he changes over the next year. Older brother is very sweet with him and constantly just wants to give him kisses.

Jen - well apparently there is a reason for calling it "Burn" Circuit, huh? I don't have that one, yet ;), but think I may just try it out one of these days since I don't have many "non-Cathe" workouts. Hope you had a little more fun than just laundry today. Did you mention you are going back to work on Mon ? I know I just had a 4 day weekend, and even though I was in class for 2 of them, surely didn't want to come back to work on Tues.

Laura & Lori - hope all is well with you two !

Until later . . .

Hi ladies,

I'm so glad it's Friday. I decided not to work out today, the old body was just too tired this morning. I will have to get my STS w/o in tomorrow so I don't get behind. I had originally intended to do both STS leg w/o's each week, but not anymore. I'm going to count the stair running and spinning as my extra leg w/o. I know it's not the same as lifting, but my legs are tired.

I met DH for lunch today at Applebee's. I guess this was my cheat meal cuz I totally overdid it. Instead of ordering from the healthy fare-I had lime chicken which was a grilled chicken breast covered with cheese...on a bed of tortilla chip strips, pico de gallo, and rice. I also had hot chocolate w/whipped cream. It was delicioius and I'm so full now.

Wendy-I'm sure everything will w/o for you. I certainly do not miss the days of day care and I'm can tell you are not looking forward to it either. I don't blame you. Good idea to have your mom review your resume. A follow up call to the PS office is a good idea. They will know you are really interested. The musical sounds like so much fun. Who doesn't love 80's rock?????

Jen-I was always beat after the BC w/o's too. They are short, but effective. Enjoy your run later in the day. Not sure if you're looking forward to going back to work or not. Hopefully you are are fully recovered.

Jacque-I'm taking a break from answering emails now. We all need breaks every now and then. Congrats again on the new GS, love the name. My sons all look very much alike. Especially the middle & youngest son.

Hey Lori & Laura, hope to hear from you soon.

Jen: OMG I feel so silly. Do you know that some how it never occurred to me that "Rock of Ages" was also a Def Leppard song!? LOL Yes I am sure you are correct on that count though. See if you can get last minute tix for the matinee and then you and your sis can meet up with DH and myself for dinner and drinks aftewards! It's supposed to be pleasant temp wise (60's) but my mom thinks it's supposed to rain on and off. I'll check it out when I'm done posting though.

Jacque: Thanks for the good vibes. I can sure use 'em! Yeah, I am sure I'll be sore and walking funny tmrw. The NYC trip will be a blessing in disguise. It may hurt a bit but walking will likely be the best thing for me. The 70 min train ride and sitting down for the show are an entirely different story! :p L&G IS a goodie and I tend to forget about it because it's an older work out. Leaner Legs is also and oldie but a goodie that I tend to overlook these days.

Diana: Don't even worry about a 2nd leg work out while taking that tri-training class. If your legs are tired then listen to them and back off. You will have plenty of time to train your legs with weights more then once a week when the training class is done! Besides, change is good so enjoy the different leg training while it lasts! :) Yes, I figured if the lack of a phone call was NOT because they were "blowing me off" then the call would be taken as definite interest and that is always a good thing. They tell you to make follow-up calls when applying for jobs so I knew it couldn't hurt. :)
