Damage Control Sunday!

Good Morning!:)

I set my alarm to get up at 6:30 to workout but I didn't get up until 7:22:rolleyes: I don't care....its Sunday! I'm not gonna miss much by getting it at 10:00 or 10:30. I have no one to train today:D, its nice to have a day off from that.

I think I will do a run, abs and the LB work of HR today. That's the plan anyway. DH was gone yesterday but ended up coming home last night and now he has a stomach bug:confused: I wish it were a hangover but it really is a bug and I don't care to have it in this house. Why didn't he just stay put? I don't want anyone else in the house to catch that crap! Ugh! And now that he is home DS will be all over him.....

LauraR** Running is a mind over matter sport. Alot of the time you can push through the pain or push through the thoughts of needing to stop. Since I have started training people, I have noticed how controlled my breathing is and that is something people really need to work on. Even when I am doing interval runs I don't huff and puff. Once someone has their breathing down pat, they can keep on going. I haven't been outside since Nov for a run and I am looking forward to it. I feel like a hamster on a wheel!

Wendy** Yes...we could have a competition re: best mish mosh...using Cathe dvds of course cause I don't have many others:eek: I don't have as much time for mish moshing anymore. Most days I am lucky if I can get a straight run in!

Diana** Sounds like your coworker had a great time yesterday!

Alright..I will bbl!

Lori:)

It's a rest day here. I've come to really appreciate rest days, although I admit I'm chomping at the bit a little today.

Lori--I've been trying to pay attention to my breathing. It's a relief to not be gasping the way I was at first! :p We're at 4000 feet which makes the air a little thinner, too. Hope you get in some good work today--both actual workouts and studying-- and don't catch the bug DH brought home!

Wendy--Your mish moshes are amazing. I don't have time to "figure out" what I'm going to do which is why I love DVDs and premixes. I know you could start running again. It is pretty discouraging at first to have to work so hard at what previously came naturally. But it comes back. I'm so excited to be starting to enjoy my runs again. The fact that you KNOW what is out there actually helps get you through the "tough.":)

Diana--I hope you find a work out rotation that is ideal for you. I've been playing around with things a little in my own efforts to lose some weight. Striking a balance is hard. I know it's important to build muscle, since muscle burns calories. But, yes, it's important to get enough cardio in there. I was eager to finish STS in December and start this new, higher cardio rotation. That, plus eating well, seems to be doing the trick.

Hello to Jacque and Poochy.

Good Morning.

Today's work out is going to be a bit mish moshy again. I have probably 4 different work outs (or parts thereof) in mind for today so I'll come back and surprise you with what I've put together later! :D

Diana:: Yeah, you'll finish Meso 2. I can tell. ;) Enjoy the upcoming bootcamp class! Have you been voted most dedicated student yet but your instructor? ;) Anyone as dedicated to those classes as you are in terms of signing up for all of them?

LauraR:: Good job sticking your 1800 calorie eating plan. My eating is fine most of the time. What I need to work on is my drinking. I am starting to enjoy it a wee bit too much as of the last couple weeks and it WILL start to back on up me if I don't cut it out fast! One glass of wine a night during the week plus a couple cap n cokes on the weekends is fine but suddenly that 1 glass of wine has turned into 2 more often then not and the couple cap n cokes has turned into a few! Time to put the brakes on! Now that I know the time difference between us I'll be figuring it out every time I see a post from you. :p

Lori:: I am feeling a little off myself this morning myself...I woke up in the middle of the night with a mild headache that won't go away despite taking 3 advil 3 hours ago and now I'm starting to feel a little nauseus. YIKES! I don't feel horrible though so I'm going to go about my business and see what happens. I will not go down with out a fight and if that means I puke mid work out then so be it!

I think that catches me up. BBL with my work out~

Hey Girls,

When I got here my coworkers van was here and my managers:mad: On a Sunday morning..What the fudge? She does some work for his other job and I guess she is trying to catch up. Anyway..everyone is gone now:D

My workout was.... BM 2 abs,20 mins on the TM, 10 mins on the bike, HIIT 30/30, HR LB, and MMA UB combos with weights around my hands. I like working abs first for a couple of reasons. One they are out of the way and the other reason is b/c my hip flexors are usually nice and lose to start my run. When I get on the TM I am ready to roll!

LauraR** The air does make a huge difference no doubt! I am not sure what we are at here. I did alot of running outside last year this time b/c I was training but all of my runs are inside now. Although yesterday was beautiful and I could have easily ran outside!

Wendy** Have fun with you mish mosh. I hope DH keeps that bug to himself but its likely someone will get it b/c he was probably contagious when he was brewing it! If Im gonna be sick I don't want it to be on my days off...let it be on my working days!

I will probably bbl!

Lori:)

TJ Kickin' Core and Stability Ball leg work from PLB done. Not as mish moshy as I expected but a good work out. Abs may be sore tmrw! No DOMS from y'day's Tonique. Kinda bummed so hit the muscles (plus more!) again today with PLB. Maybe I'll be sore tmrw! :D

And if you didn't read it, I mentioned to Lori above that I felt like I might be getting sick but I was gonna w/o anyway and see what happened. Well I got through it just fine and it, in fact, made the nausea I was feeling go away! I still have a headache but it's not bad. Gonna have another cup of coffee in a minute. Maybe the caffeine will help kick it...

Lori:: Yup, that last work out settles it. You are a way fancier mish mosher then I am girly! :D Fingers crossed that you don't get sick!

Hi Ladies,

I feel horrible this morning. I woke up at 1am and didn't fall back to sleep until after 4am. My head is so stuffed up....hope this goes away soon.

My intention was to do Back & Biceps, and a short cardio today. I don't think a cardio w/o is in the cards.

The kids did a great job cleaning the house yesterday!:D I think I will work on our tax return. It's about 85% complete. Since the IRS isn't processing any returns until Feb 18th anyway, I'm not in any hurry. Of course I want my money back as soon as possible, but don't want to have to file an amended return.

Lori-sounds like you finally get a day where you can do what you want! Very true on the breathing....once you get that down it makes a world of difference. Hope your DH feels better soon...and the bug doesn't spread to the rest of the family. I know my family is miserable right now.

LauraR-nice that you can start enjoying your runs. You should feel so accomplished! I'm sure starting over wasn't easy but now your on your way. I have the Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle book and Tom Venuto says "do as much cardio as your body needs" and he explains that this is different for everyone. I'm one of those who builds muscle pretty easily, but I need a lot of cardio too. Sometimes I wish I didn't though.

Wendy-Oh no, I hope your not getting sick. You're right, it just feels so wrong not to finish my favorite mesocycle..I will finish meso 2. There are actually about 10-15 of us who take these classes on a regular basis. We are the ones who can't get to the rec ctr for the normal classes and besides that...we love our trainer. I'm kind of considering purchasing a road bike and training another triathlon.

Hi LauraT and Jacque.

Hey Ladies,

I did Back & Biceps and Stability Ball abs. Still feeling pretty crappy. I'm kind of getting tired of tea. I'm a coffee drinker but have been drinking tons of green tea since I've been sick.

Lori-yeah, you win on the mishmoshes...it seems you have a lot more time to w/o than the rest of us. Honestly, I don't know how you do it all.

Wendy-nice mish mosh for you too girl!

I'm off to run errands, library with DS and grocery store.

Hello.

Spent my afternoon at Fun Time America with DS (rides/games) and then foodshopping afterwards. Now this non-chef of a girl who isn't a fan of cooking in general is making a healthy white bean turkey chili recipe for the first time. Fingers crossed that it's edible!:p

Have a great night ladies. BBITAM!
