Damage Control STS Style-Monday...Week of 2/6

Hi all.

Not sure what work out I'll do today. It's the last of my "active recovery" though so I wanna make it a good one. ;)

So since we have a small group and the threads don't tend to be more then 2 pages long if that each day, what do y'all think about doing a weekly thread instead of a daily one? I am in 2 other check in's that post in the same thread Sunday-Saturday and then start a new one. Yay or nay? It'll keep me and Lori from fighting so much. lol :p I already named this thread "week of 2/6" so we can just keep using it thru Saturday if everyone thinks this is a good idea. Let me know. :)

I like the idea. Makes it easier to catch up if you miss a day.

Today I ran 14/1. Good run, but it is hot and dry here! I have got to run a little earlier on Wednesday!

Laura:: Nice job on the run. Glad you like the thread idea. We'll see what the others think. Majority will rule on this one. :)

This morning's work out was a mish mosh again....surprising right? LOL

RS warm up
IMAX (original) first 5 intervals
MIC last step combo (wanted to do interval blasts but didn't work out that way :rolleyes:)

Total time on this one was about 45 minutes I guess and was a good sweat with a little variety. If I had more time I would have done one of the RS combos too instead of just the warm up but they are long and I didn't have the extra 15 minutes to spare. Oh well...another time! ;)

Today was a rest day for the abs.

Time to pack lunches....BBL~:cool:
 
Good Morning Ladies,

No workout for me this morning....this darn cold is kicking my butt!

I have some nice doms in the back, probably from the pullups yesterday. My class starts tonight. We usually just do weigh-ins, body fat, step test, flexibility test, max pushups (1min) and max situps (1 min).

Wendy-I'm good with a weekly thread as opposed to daily. Like LauraR said, it's much easier to get caught up if you miss a day. So it was another mish mosh morning for yah, good job keeping your body guessing, as well as your mind.:)

LauraR-nice job getting your run in despite the heat. We are supposed to be getting more snow tonight!

Okay, just need one more "yay" vote for the weekly thread (LauraT,Lori or Jacque) and it's a go!:D

Diana:: Sorry you aren't feeling well. Probably a good thing that your class tonight will be ez. More snow for you? For us too. Nothing big tonight but we are supposed to get SOMETHING. There is a possibility of something big heading our way for Thursday I think. Keeping my eyes and ears peeled for more on that as the week progresses! Yay for your DOMS! :)
 
Hey ladies ..

MANIAC MONDAY today .. shorthanded and BUSY!!!! had a bad weekend .. my aunt died ...DM sister ... she had been in bad health .. but it is still sad! :( Anyway - no workouts to report at all :( and still have the freaking cough!!! :mad:

Wendy - another YA here .. doesnt matter to me .. and if it saves you and Lori a spat .. go for it :p

LauraR -it is WET here .. I swear we are sogggggyyyyy!!! UGH

Di - well sorry you still got the cold .. me too .. it is getting a bit ridiculous

Hello all that follow ... I am gonna try to teach tonight .. will prbly kill me I have been goofing off for too long ... have a good one!

Hey Girls,

I was gonna write "good morning"...habit! LOL I thought it's just as well to check in now then tomorrow morning. I just put DS to bed and DH is doing something...not sure what.

Busy, busy day today. On a brighter note, I had 4 parcels come from lululemon!:D 3 tank tops, a sweater and a pair of capris. For someone who didn't have many pairs of capris I have certainly added to my collection the last couple of weeks:eek: My workout was abs and an hour of cardio. I did 6 miles on the TM in 50 mins so then I got on the bike for the final 10. Tomorrow will be some kind of weights and I can't wait! I love weights! And when I have a day off from them it seems weird.

Ok..so does no one else see what is going on here??? WENDY decides we only need one thread a week after she starts this one? She is obviously doing it so she gets to start the thread every time;):D:eek: But WHATEV! I also think that part of her plan was for me not to see this so then I would start a thread tomorrow and then she could post "ahhh LORI, didn't you see that I already started"? BOY did I pull a fast one on her!:p

Wendy** Oh...you and your ideas. I don't care what we do. Nice workout this morning.

Laura** So sorry to hear about your aunt! It is always sad, no matter how sick they have been. They usually put up a good fight. I know DH's uncle did. Thinking of you and your family.

Diana** Sorry to hear the cold is bringing you down. I am sure once you kick it you will come back full force.

LauraR** Nice run today!

I didn't get a whole lot of sleep last night. I had to go back to work and I was there till 1 and up again at 6:30. Surprisingly I had an awesome day though! I wasn't tired at all.

I am up early for training sessions but I think I only have one in the a.m:D I was waiting to hear from another girl to see if she wanted to have a session but I didn't hear back from her...which means I will be the one getting the good workout in!:D:D Im not sure if Im gonna work UB or LB today.

Alright...gotta jet. I will bbl to report my workout and to check in.

Morning!

It was supposed to be a rest day today but I felt like getting a jump on starting STS again so I banged out Disc 7 and 6 min abs! Feeling good! I will rest tmrw. I promise!;):D

Hey Girls,

Figured I would check in quickly while I am drinking my fruit smoothie...boy, that's bitter:eek: Trying to eat super clean. Yesterday was pretty good. I only had 5 candy and 1/2 of an ice cream...and that's good for me. Just looking for more definition not weight loss. Scale said 118.6 lb today.

Wendy** Your making me wanna pull out a STS workout. I just might yet. I haven't decided which workout Im gonna be doing...although I am leaning towards UB.

O.k..shake is almost gone. I think I will start with abs and then weights so I don't have stuff jiggling around in my belly! Or even worse, a stitch.

Hey Ladies ..

yesterday was INSANE .. OMG .. shorthanded then pia gets "sick" AND leaves .. after my weekend I was stuck on counter w/customers lined out the door :mad: geesh!!! I got some help from the back - and at the end of the day .. managed to balance and just get to class 5 min late .. UGH!!! taught a simple circuit class - coughed my head off!! UGH .. I feel better today - still have congestion and a cough .. but trying to stay off meds .. ugh!!! come on .. I am sick of being sick!!! time to feel better!!!

thanks for the thoughts and {{{ hugs}}} ... I have the "viewing" to go to this afternoon - dreading it! family coming up from all over - guess I will have house guests!!! Was gonna try to teach tonight ..but now looking like family will be coming up to stay gotta run home and do high speed clean max on house ... funeral tmrw

Lori - I hope to get back to cleaning up my eats and back to my regular exercise habits too - this cold kicked my butt - now family stuff .. ugh .. ready for some things to get back to normal!!

Wendy - enjoy your rest day ...

LauraT:: Rest day? HAH! I didn't take it today. I wanted to work out so I went for it. TMRW will be my rest day. I promise! ;) Don't stress too much about everything going on. I know it's hard though. Can you atleast relax tonight after the viewing with a CAB to calm the nerves before bed? Or maybe you should have a CAB while you cleanmax! :D

Lori:: So did I convince you to pull out STS? :) Why was the smoothie bitter? WTH did you put in it?? :eek: 5 candies and icecream? NICE! Hey, if you can get away with it then more power to ya girly! ;) I have a CAB (wine during the week and captain and coke zero on weekends) and one or two small sweet treats every day and as long as I keep the rest of my eating in check and the w/o's are good then I do ok with it.

Hi Ladies,

Working from home today...5 inches of snow overnight and more today. Dropped DS off at school at got stuck in my driveway when I got home. I shoveled my part of the driveway...threw some salt down and finally got into the garage.

I'm feeling a bit better and may attempt a cardio w/o after my STS w/o later today.

Laura-So sorry to hear about your dear Aunt. {{{Hugs}}} Asylum sounds crazy. I think you should skip your w/o and focus on the family right now. Hopefully things will get back to normal soon.

Lori-what w/o did you decide to do? My smoothies aren't bitter, what did you put in yours?

Wendy-Nice Job tackling your w/o on your scheduled rest day. I don't schedule my rest days, they just occur as needed or as my work schedule allows. It usually a work issue that is the cause of my rest days, or now of course being sick is throwing a wrench into everything.

Diana:: Now you are getting the snow. FINALLY! :p I think our weather might finally be starting to calm down around here...*knock on wood*! I took the no scheduled rest days route once and ended up not taking a rest day for weeks until I got knocked on my @ss with a sinus infection that was with me for 2 weeks! :eek: IDK if there was a direct correlation between no rest days and being sick like that but it scared me. I won't do it again! Ofcourse it depends on what life throws at you. Because your work schedule is a lot more hectic then mine you seem to end up taking rest days pretty regularly even though they are not technically scheduled so it works for you and ya gotta do what works! :) I think I put off my rest day and tackled Disc 7 for fear of getting lazy and not wanting to do it after a recovery week AND a day of rest. I''m all pumped up now though and ready to roll on with STS! ;) LOL Seems like there were even MORE push ups in disc 7 then in the others so far! YIKES!
 
Hey Girls

Just a quick check in. I am getting DS ready for preschool but I wanted to report.

I did disc 13 and 15 of STS, 30 mins on the TM and LIC abs and stretch.

HHmmm, not that I can compete with Lori, but I did Disc 16, CST and abs from KPC and was feeling pretty accomplished. No cardio for this gal today. Tomorrow morning I will try to get in a cardio session before work.

Lori-I guess you have to fit in your own w/o's when you have the time. I do have to say you are a bit crazy...:p. Glad you got to do what you want to do today! That probably doesn't happen very often with your work/training schedule.

Wendy-I'm sick of the snow and cold. We are supposed to get into the 50's by the weekend. Tonight will be in the negative numbers-yuck. Your right, my work schedule usually dictates my days off which is why I don't schedule them. It usually works for me, except for now being sick and all.

Hey Girls

Checking in before I go to bed. And all I wanted to say is "ouchie wah wah"! :confused::confused: My shoulders and chest are on fire already and it hasn't even been 24 hrs! I know you all think Im gone in the head but if I didn't get all of my UB done today, then I wouldn't have gotten it done until Fri and then that would have screwed up doing HR over the weekend. If my friend would just give back the GS series to me I would have done that. I really upped the weight for those two workouts and pushed myself. Hopefully I won't look like a man when I am walking the beaches in cuba:D

Oh and since you all asked the same question, my smoothie consisted of greek yogurt, frozen strawberries and a kiwi. Im not sure which one is causing the bitterness. Im sure none of it on its own is sweet. I am hoping to get use to it. Sometime I think things are bitter or tarty while other think it is sweet.

Wendy** So yeah...you kinda made me pull out STS! I could blame that insane workout on you;) The ice cream wasn't a big one! LOL It was just a 120 cals and I only had half of it. AND that's a good day. I don't even keep track on my bad days!

Diana** We are suppose to have more snow tonight...I just might get snow rage yet:mad: Its almost as bad as the spurt of rain and fog we went through last Spring. It was depressing.

Laura** I am hoping to have a smoothie before I go to work tomorrow and have my other foods ready to go. That should keep me on the straight and narrow. Hoping today wasn't as crazy!

O.k..I may be here tomorrow morning. Kinda depends!

Good Morning!

Hump day it is and I am back to work today...work is a break so I don't know why I wanna stay home:eek: My coworker sent me a text at some point during the night listing off all of the work she hadn't done and that she left for me. We (or I should say I) send this spread sheet to head office every tuesday but for some reason she can never manage to send it. She always says that the price change wasn't in but that's not true. I know what time the email was sent:mad:

Anyway...yes DOMS is raging and my shoulders,back.....he** everything hurts! I have a training session shortly and after that it was just be a run and abs for me. If it snowed to much last night and she couldn't get here I would have done legs and a run. Then I would have been really hurting tomorrow! DOMS EVERYWHERE!!!

I will bbl!
