I did CCC Express Circuit Premix this morning. Whooped my butt. Does it every time! :eek:

Just wanted to get us started.

Hi Ladies,

I'm still not feeling well. I thought I could w/o this morning, but it's just not going to happen.

Wendy-nice job with CCC. I think one time I tried the cardio only premix...yeah...I recall having to take a lot of breaks. Is the circuit premix just one cardio cycle and then abs?

Diana:: Yes, the express circuit is 1 round of each of the cardio circuits instead of 2 with core work in between as produced. It's still killer! I swear there is NO EZ WAY to do this work out! :eek: Sorry you weren't up to working out this morning. Sending <<<feel better vibes>>> your way!!!!!
 
I did my 13/2 run this morning. Didn't even THINK about running . . . just let my mind wander and still clocked 2.82 miles. When I actually hit the full 30 minute running mark, I'll probably be close to 3 miles in 30 minutes, which is my goal. I'd like to drop to about 9 minutes per mile eventually, but if I can crank out 3 miles in 30 minutes for a while, I'll be happy.

Weight isn't dropping off very much, but my size and shape are improving drastically. A coworker yesterday asked me if I had lost weight. :D

Hoping to run grab a quick ab workout this afternoon. Something from Core Max or Ab Circuits?
 
LauraR:: Congrats on the running progress! I love hearing about it. It takes me back to that very exciting time in my life when I was in your shoes-running shoes that is. ;):) Congrats on the size/shape improvement too! I am not losing weight by any leaps or bounds. Either losing VEEEEERY slowly or staying put. NOT gaining though which THRILLS me! But my shape is changing too and I am very happy with those changes. Doesn't always have to be about the scale tho I do still get on the scale frequently. Keeps me on my toes. If I DO start to gain weight at any point then I know I need to change something QUICK! :eek: If I didn't weigh myself I'd get into the "ignorance is bliss" frame of mind and that could be bad. Very very bad!:p
 
Morning Ladies ..

I had a RUFF night last night . was up ALL NIGHT COUGHING :( :mad: :( GEESH ... it is sooooo aggravating .. I had to prop two pillows together to get me to a sort of upright angle not to choke .. UGH ... I feel like walking crap today. UGH .. I am going to teach tonight .. obviously no cardio ... prbly 4 step or triple set shaping .. not that it is easier .. but no plyos or cardio for me until this CRUD gets out of my chest!!! :mad:

Wendy - did you get more snow/ice?? the pics on the news are unbelievable .. YIKES. We are a little above freezing here .. with sleet and ice pellets predicted but it isnt to accumulate much ... then RAIN tmrw .. ugh .. depressing .. where did the sun go????

LauraR - WTG on the run .. you are making progress .. when I was running if I could ever get over that HUMP and let my mind go I could go .. but that dang hump is a hard one to get over!! But you are doing great!! congrats on the weight loss comment!!!

DI - you and I are the sickly ones .. UGH .. and it is NOT fun!!!! sometimes the bodies just wont let you do what your mind wants to .. but it is all for a reason!!! Hope you feel better!! how is your winter weather doing??

LauraT:: Nope, no more snow/ice for us...for now. I think there's a bit more coming this weekend though...a couple inches maybe. :rolleyes: Sorry you were up coughing. Hate that. Hope you are feeling better soon! My son went to the doc with a cough and was diagnosed with the very beginning stages of bronchitis. Gave him a 5 day cycle of antibiotics but a week after finishing the meds and he's still coughing. Not like he was but still. Unfortunately the cough can hang on for a while...:( Take care!
 
I did get in the ab workout--STS Ab circuits, no equipment. Tomorrow is SJP.

Wendy--Hurray for a break from the snow. Thanks for the running encouragement. It's fun to have someone else who has been there.

Poochy--Thanks for the encouragement. Yeah, that "hump" is a big one, and it has been daunting. I think I've finally made it over! :D I hope you feel better. Being sick is such a bummer. And when it keeps you up at night, too, it's a double whammy.

Diana--Sorry about the sickness and missed workout. That is frustrating. Feel better soon!

So since I can't do the February rotation due to STS, I am going to use the BBW this month as my extra lower body work out each week. That, in and of itself is enough of a work out especially when added to STS legs! I don't think I would need the rest of the rotation! Cathe outdid herself this month! YEOWCH! :eek: I have my first go at this scheduled for next wed/thurs along with some cardio. I'll let ya know it goes! :eek:...Unless ofcourse morbid curiosity takes hold and I just HAVE to try it this weekend!;)


LauraR:: Good job getting the ab work in! I haven't done SJP in ages. Have fun with that one! :D

So...I guess I shouldn't make promises I can't keep:confused: I promised that I would be back here yesterday to catch up on personals and that didn't happen at all!:confused: My day flies by so fast, almost to fast.

I ended up going to bed with DS last night and I stayed asleep. I should have more energy then I do. When I get a good sleep like that I usually don't get tired again until its time for bed but after lunch I started to feel lazy again. Blah!

Anyway...so this is how yesterday went..training, training, workout )which was 4DS UB, 20 mins on the TM, 10 min on the bike, 4DSKB with ankle weights strapped around my hands and ab ripper)grocery shopping, made banana bread, supper, training,training,training..BED!

Today was training,training,assessment for DS, lunch, Lower body blast for moi, training, 6 miles on the TM, abs, shower...and here I am! I have one more training session today and that's it for today. I don't like more then 2 per evening.

MIL was kinda gett'in on my nerves yesterday. Its almost as if when she starts working out her brain shuts off. She made some comment about DH not being able to fix her computer last night b/c of a meeting, which I didn't really like. And then she ran on the TM for 30 secs and when she decided to walk, she just started walking...didn't press any buttons to lower her speed. I asked her if she thought the TM could read her mind...I had to. Then she thought she was having a heart attack....very, VERY odd! Not only that my SIL brings her girls everytime she works out...so there is 3 kids running around, 2 people working out and its just to crazy. As I am getting older my mind can't handle such craziness! THEN my 6 o'clock shows up and they don't leave. They have a meeting right there about what they are gonna have for supper with my BIL and FIL there. How many people can you fit in one room??? Alot apparently! Just so happens that my 6 o'clock is a friend of mine but I do need to call her and apologize. I feel like everytime she comes over its just mahem at my house and its usually b/c the workouts overlap by a bit and there are kids everywhere.

Wendy** Nice workout. I have never looked at the premixes on that dvd...then again I have only ever done that workout twice. Could be why. Talking about running...do you miss it at all? I thought about another marathon the other day when I looked up my Ottawa time again and noticed that I placed 48/250 in my age group. That kind of stuff makes me wanna do it again but I don't know...would have to take some convincing right now. I wouldn't be able to do another one until this Fall. I need to finish this course first.

Diana** How come you aren't feeling well??? I should read the other threads I suppose!! I wish I had more time!

LauraR** Congrats on the run. I tried letting my mind wander today but it didn't work. I watched a weightloss show so that kept me entertained. I hate running after working legs...they feel so heavy.
