Good Morning!

Just getting us started. I don't have any training scheduled for the next two mornings which gives me some me time. I do have a training session this evening though. Another lady called yesterday and I need to call her back. I think she wants two times a week. I am hoping that she doesn't work b/c she can just come on my days off. Other then that, its gonna be tough.

So I am up to do my workout before work. Not sure what I am doing. I have hit it all this week so I am thinking a good abs and cardio workout. I had a good sleep but I am still not fully awake. Giving myself 15 mins to get this party started!!!

Hi Ladies,

I'm up very early for the weekend. I've been taking cold medicine regularly and although I didn't go to bed until after 11, I slept pretty good until about 5am. I just got up and the coffee is brewing.

I'm still not feeling well but am going to give STS disc 14-legs, a try this morning. Not sure I could handle a cardio session. I could try the elliptical and see how I do.

This afternoon I'm taking one of my coworkers to a Tea that my MIL's Business & Professional Womens' group is putting on. It should be fun. The only problem is all the yummy finger foods. Hopefully I can keep a mindful eye on what I'm putting in my mouth.

Lori-you w/o's are awesome. You get good variety using different instructors and hit all the body parts. Are you following a rotation, or do you just play it by ear?

What's everyone else up to this weekend?
 
Hey Girls

I am left alone....its like being in heaven. No one is here but me! Love it! Im gonna sit back and do some reading soon and hopefully clue up chapter 2 in my book.

Even though I did weights the last 2 days I was still in the mood for some kind of circuit. I hit my abs good with high reps abs..( that was is tough!) then I did 3.5 miles on the TM, 2 seg of DM, then 5 mins on the TM and another 2 seg of DM. I didn't do all of the cardio in DM either. I hate the ball cardio where you swing the ball back and forth and then jump in the air. Feels like I am wasting my time! LOL

Diana** I am not really following any rotation. My goal is to hit my UB once with heavy weights and then another time using lighter weights (such as HR) and for my legs I am keeping those weights moderate...no heavy lifting. My legs are still sore from Thurs workout. I may be able to do the legs from HR tomorrow morning with some running involved. I have managed to keep off the weight I lost before Christmas without even trying so that's a good thing. Hope you have a good day!!!

O.k..I am going to go do some reading and hopefully clue up chapter 2 in my book!

Morning Glories.

For some reason I was having an awful time trying to figure out what do for my work out this morning! Imagine that!? ME!? INDECISIVE!?! WTH!? Bwahah! ;):D:p

That being said, ofcourse a mish mosh was coming so here's what I did...

BFBM thru circuit #3
Tonique Mat back lying exercises thru bicycles
Abs and Push Ups (by Ilaria) thru reverse core push ups
BFBM circuit # 5
Cooldown/stretch

All totaled about 70 minutes! Good stuff.

Ilaria is nuts! I got thru about 12 minutes (out of 30) of the work out when I gave up. Gonna have to work my up to doing that one in full! :eek:

Hi ladies,

I did Disc 14-legs. I started feeling dizzy and nauseous towards the end of it. I was able to finish it and now I'm eating...hoping that will make me feel better. It feels like this cold is moving into my lungs which makes me very nervous. I've had pneumonia before and I'm starting to feel weak like I did when I had that. After breakfast I'm going to lay down for a bit and see if that helps.

I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I may not want to finish STS. In order for me to lose the weight I need to do more cardio/circuits. Since bootcamp starts on Monday, I'm going to give it 2 weeks with the extra classes and see where I'm at. If I'm just maintaining, then I'm going to switch over the rotation that Lori gave me a few months ago.
My other option is to get Insanity back from coworker and do those in between my STS weight days.

Wendy-you sure do come with some doozies, huh!:D What do you have planned for the rest of the day?

Lori-enjoy your time alone, it doesn't happen very often.
 
So ya finally got me to give STS another try and now you wanna bail, Diana!? LOL , just kidding. Do what makes you happy, girl! You can get back to STS another time if it's not workin' for ya now. Insanity/STS together!? I thought about that at one point but quickly nixxed the idea for fear of killing myself! :eek::p Hope you are feeling better soon. Seems lots of people are sick right now. :(

Lori:: I adore the abs from High Reps. Need to do them soon. I like the segment in DM with the stability ball but I don't use that ball. I use a DB held horizontally in both hands instead. :) Diana thinks that I come up with some doozies when I start to mishmosh my work outs but I think you can definitely be "doozier" then me!:eek: :D
 
'Nother run. :D Next week I go to 14/1, and after that it's a straight 30 minute run. So only one week left of intervals. Running is such a psychological sport. Wednesday I was not psyched for the workout at all and had an exhilarating run. Today I was all prepped to have another great run and was huffing by the time I got to walk. As Cathe says, it's mind over muscle. I've built up enough good runs that I can weather a bad one.

Ready for a rest day tomorrow. Ready to go to bed now.

Wendy--we are either 7 or 8 hours ahead of EST. Right now we're 8. When you "spring forward," we'll only be 7. We're on the equator and don't do daylight savings time at all. We have 12 hour days year round.

I have completed my 5 week plan of "extreme" 1800 calorie eating. It's been a success. I haven't lost as much weight as I hoped, but I have no complaints. My clothes have begun fitting better, and I look and feel good. I'm going to give myself a week of grace (not a cheat, just a little more flexibility), and then we'll see where to go from here. :)
 
Hi Ladies,

I had a fun time at the Tea. I took one of my coworkers. This coworker is close to 60yrs (I think), has never been married and doesn't have much family. Her mom passed away a few years ago and she doesn't get out a lot. She had a great time. Better yet, I was able to keep my eating in check!

LauraR-sorry your run wasn't as good as you wanted it to be. It happens sometimes. At least you finished it and that's what's important. I need to get some new running shoes, then I will be joining you running. My class starts Monday and we do a lot of running, running stairs, circuits etc.

Wendy-I really don't want to stop STS, especially meso 2 my very fav! Not only that, but I'm a big believer in weight training especially for women. We need that muscle to increase our metabolism. I want to lose about 20lbs and I think I need to do a lot of cardio for that to happen. I'm going to wait a couple more weeks before I make a decision. By that time I should just have 1 more week of Meso 2 and would probably just finish it anyway.
