Damage Control...New Year's Eve

Good Morning!:)

So nice to be off! I am not tied to that stupid phone for the next three days:D. Not that its real hard work or it rings very often:p

I'm not sure what today's workout will be. Should probably do something good considering the amount of food and drinks I may partake in tonight. We are also invited to my running partners house for dinner:) So we will go there first and then to the New Years celebrations. I weighed today and still holding at 120.6. Can't believe I haven't went back up with all the eating and drinking.

Yesterday's workout was CM 2 and while I was doing it I felt like I was wasting my time b/c I wasn't feeling anything. That one really creeps in! Last night before I went to bed I could feel the DOMS in my abs.

I had a surprise phone call yesterday when I was at work. It was another lady (my friends aunt that was suppose to start training ages ago) and she wants to start on Sunday....4 times a week. This worked out ok b/c she doesn't go to work until 10 so when I finish training at 6:30, I can go right to her house for 7:30. Also, one of my baby group friends backed out b/c she has something going on right now. Im excited! I am going to schedule these workouts alot better then I use to and I am also going to make sure I go to bed early enough most nights! Anyway....Sunday should be a busy day cause everyone wants to get back at it!

Wendy** Hope your enjoying your workout!:p I guess you are soon leaving for AC? Hope you have a good time!

Diana** Yeah, I have a feeling that book would take up alot of paper. If I were to do what you did , I would have to wait until I went into the city to get it printed. Although...there is a printing company here. Maybe they would put it in a book for me. I looked at it though and Im just gonna try my own thing for a while and see how that works.

Laura** I hate terrible drivers! I think its slippery out today b/c I woke up to the noise of a cars tires spinning!

Hello.

I'm here at work until 3pm. UGH.

I chose to do the cardio only premix of CCC which is ever tougher then the original b/c there is no "rest" w/core in between! :eek: After that I did a 2 minute prone plank on my elbows followed by side planks at 1 min each. Good stuff!:D

I think I have personals to catch up on from yesterday. I need to go back and re-read first though...

Laura:: Your talk about black eyed peas reminds me of a country song by the Dixie Chicks. It's about 2 best friends who kill the one gal's husband because he's abusive. It's a snappy tune and very amusing to listen to the words. So anyway...they poison him by putting something in his black eyed peas. :p

Diana:: How'd it go last night? Make it to your MIL's in the snow? Did the girls like their gifts? So you still plan on trying 6 week 6 pack today? ;)

Lori:: Your biz is sure booming! Once you are officially certified will you make the biz official too in hopes of it becoming your f/t job some day or will you leave it as a side job? Yup, I am all packed up and ready to roll! I dropped DH at my mom's on my way to work this morning. He will head to A/C with them (and all of my luggage! I am no fool! :p) around 1:00pm and I will follow behind at 3 when I get out of here. I brought a change of clothes with me so I don't have to ride down in my work clothes. Pray for no traffic and I should be there on my way to get my first CAB by 5pm! :D
 
Hi Ladies,

I'm enjoying my coffee in the peacefulness before the girls get up. We did not go to MIL's last night as we were under a Winter Storm Warning and DS said the roads were really bad and he drives a 4-wheel drive jeep. We decided to let the girls open their gifts and they had fun. Also, one of DS's friends came by with a gift for each of the girls, curious george stuffed monkey.

I was brave and weighed myself this morning. For some reason I'm feeling like a fat cow. The scale showed the same weight as Dec 13th- the day of my surgery. I'm sure this feeling has to do with not being able to work out like I'm used to. I've been logging my food on WW and will continue doing that.

Today will be Cardio and abs day and I plan on starting STS tomorrow. I'm just going to use my weights from the last go round and adjust if necessary. I'm also looking into ordering the power tower, but that won't happen until mid february after I get my bonus check and pay everything off.

Wendy-Wow, CCC cardio only...you are a brave girl. I think I tried this once or twice and it took my breath away...and I had to pause to catch my breath! Yep 6wk/6pk is on the agenda for today. I had to modify the side planks yesterday in BM2 to on my elbows and one knee bent. My ab strength needs some serious work. Hope the day flies by for you and you have a great time in AC! btw, I know that Dixie Chicks song too-I love those girls.

Lori-Sounds like your side business is booming...you go girl. I do not know how you get anything done with a small child around. Obviously I managed when my were young, but really struggle with the gd's around.

Laura-sooo, did you find your black eyed peas??? Wouldn't want you to start the new year without good luck!:p

Jacque-what do you have planned for tonight? We are staying home with girls, while the boys go out. I don't mind at all. My SIL gave me pink champagne for Christmas, so will definitely be having some of that!

Diana:: If you want to see fast improvement in your abs, train them more often! I'm tellin' you! It works and you don't have to spend a lot of time! 5-10 mins 5 days a week and you'll see vast improvements fast! Also helped me with definition as well which I was very happy about! :) Yeah, I figured if I'm gonna brave CCC that I may as well go for the gusto! LOL I survived though I was doubtful I'd make it through a few times! :eek: Color me jealous-I want Cathe's tower but I'm thinkin that it would barely fit in the space I work out in once it's put together! :(

Hi Ladies,

Press Play on the elliptical was awesome this morning. Obviously I have some imbalances going on as my left quad was getting tired from the get go. I also added on 6wk 6pk level 2. Much to my suprise, I burned 299 cal doing Jillians workout. Although I do like this w/o, I still do not care for her. Hope I didn't waste my money on Shred it w/weights. She is not motivating to me at all. The stretch was nice though...and I will continue to use the w/o for awhile. I still need to do level 1 at some point.

The high today is supposed to 10 and the overnight low is -5. BBBbbbbrrrrrrrr.

Laura-it sounds like I need to check my email! You are so thoughtful.

Wendy-I love doing ab work almost as much as I love doing legs! I like weighted ab work and see quick improvement when using weights. I'm not sure if the tower breaks down or not, but looks like it would fit in a closet. I have an open area in the basement for my w/o space, I don't think it will be an issue.

The girls are hovered around me and want to take a shower with me.:D
