Good Morning Chicas. :)

Well me thinks me had a leetle too much to drink at my mom's y'day.

We got there and DH went out with my mom's SO so my mom, DS and I headed outside since she had set up the baby pool for him. I started out with a diet root beer but quickly moved on from there. I was going to have a couple of Coors Lights until my mom started talking about the mixers she was looking at in the store and thought of buying for me. Then she said that maybe her SO would mix up some Sangria when he got back finally we were talking about the yummy drinks I had in MD. Before you know it I was in the house raiding her liquor cabinet to try and make one. It wasn't exact, but it was close and soooo good! I was only going to have one but that lead to one more and then a third. I was pretty well schnockered (is that even a word!? LOL) by the time the guys got back. I could still feel it even after eating supper. By the time we were driving home, I had developed the hang over head ache. I took ibuprofen and went straight to bed. I feel better this morning but the headache is still lingering a bit. I took more ibuprofen when I got up. Hopefully it goes away before I have to go to work. *fingers crossed*

That being said, and the fact that I ate a hamburger, and a greasy but oh so yummy potato side dish (as well as salad and corn but they are healthy so they don't count!LOL), I did NOT get on the scale this morning!

I have a run planned for today....Probably for this afternoon before DS gets out of school. I have to work in the morning and running right after my shift is like torture for some reason. I do much better when I've had some down time first.

My quads are quite sore from doing SS. Me likey. :D

Let me get this novel posted and then I'll be back with personals...

Jacque:: Good job on your run y'day! You rock! I remember those hot runs when I was training for my first HM and then for my 18 miler. OMG they were like torture at times! LOL I wish I could get the desire back to hit the road and train for a race again but I just don't wanna....maybe some day though.... *sigh* DH has only played golf a couple of times using an old set of clubs my mom had. He is very interested in learning and playing more though so he wanted clubs of his own. He ended up buying part of a used set and then my mom and her SO had some clubs that they were able to give him to fill in the gaps just fine. He needs one final club to make a full set and my mom gave him cash for his Bday so he can go buy it. He's very excited. I could tell cause he pulled the bag out of our car 2x and was playing with the clubs in the back yard at my mom's house. LOL I have never played golf and never thought I would as I am quite sure I'll suck at it but it looks like I might end up playing some with them too. It should be quite comical if not dangerous to those around me! :p I love going to see movies in empty, quiet theaters. There are a couple small, old theaters near us that are never crowded. I love going to see movies there when we can. I am not into HP. I have the first 6 books. I think I made it through 3 of them? I don't know. I just didn't get it. LOL Oh well. *shrugs* I can't imagine not having AC....especially at night when I'm sleeping. We have A/C and ceiling fans so it always pretty cold with air moving in our room constantly. When we were on vacation the thermostat in the room wouldn't go below 72 degrees. It was comfortable during the day but at night it was too warm for us. I spent the first couple of nights tossing and turning and we were only sleeping with the sheet on the bed. I spent most of the time ON TOP of that sheet! If we go back to the same place next year, DH and I will bring an osolating fan with us. That will help make it more comfortable for us just by virtue of the fact that the air will be moving...

Ok, novel #2 is complete! LOL

BBL!

Okay you two...Wendy and Lori....who's hopping where? You both started the thread today. What I love is that you both put the exact same sentiment in the title!! I'll second that. I just said to DSO this morning, on the drive into work, that I was looking forward to the weekend already and that there must be something wrong with that seeing Monday hadn't even started yet  Ugh, I hate Mondays.

I'll bbs to report my workouts and catch up from yesterday~

ITA and it's gonna be a long week !

Morning girls !

Well didn't do much but read y'day afternoon. That run made me tired and then when I got back it was still warm outside. Makes me drag lately. Had to head out for the anniv dinner by 5 so kinda cut the day short anyway. Did behave myself - had a chicken salad, water and no CABs or cake. <<< pats self on back > > >. :D And so the scale has me down to where I was a few weeks ago. Gotta keep on truckin' though. The runs really help keep my weight in tow - think it is because my HR stays high the entire time.

Wendy - Well it seems we were quite the opposite last night at dinner, huh? ;) If you end up learning to golf the best thing to do is hit the practice range a few times and just swing away. Course my X was a good golfer so I learned to swing correctly - it's pretty natural for me. Lessons on a great swing would be a fun "gift" for you and DH. Just getting out in the peace and quiet would be a great weekend getaway if you end up enjoying the game. And can you imagine how many steps you'd get in if you walk a 7,000+ yard course while carrying your clubs? (If yours allow walking). I dislike the carts and like to walk so I can figure my next club and to get the exercise. Hope your head cooperates with you today - don't forget the water to help dilute your "fun" beverages ! ;)

Lori - so DS just lays at the bottom of the steps? Do you have a gate there so you can just let him lay there or do you need to watch him so he doesn't go up? Interesting running story there. There are no places for pit stops where I run so I have to make sure I have no "issues" to take care of before I head out. Are you getting excited or nervous for your race this weekend? Is your quad feeling 100% ?

Jen - so you and DSO get to drive to work together? How nice for you ! I'll be glad when the week is over too ! Though I'm supposed to have Wed off, we'll see if it actually happens. Our big Garlic Festival is this coming weekend & I'm usually there all weekend. We'll see if there is anything for me to do this year. Last year was a bit boring as they had all the wine pourers set up - usually they need help. Oh well, it is time away from the house and definitely "people watching" time ! We get well over 100,000 people attending between Fri & Sun. In fact, that brings up a good idea, wear the ped and just walk around the festival all day ! That would burn a few cals ! :p

Hi Diana & Laura ! Hope the weekend went well - Laura are you recovered from your "bad" week?

Off to get ready for work. Probably won't be back until I get home - gotta go down to our mfg. site for a meeting mid day.

Later gators . . .

Hi ladies,

Yesterday ended up being an unscheduled rest day. Saturday DH had 2 friends over, one of which I haven't seen in a long time. It was nice to visit with them for a bit. Anyway, the boys ended up drinking all night and just I was ready to hit the sack, I decided they should probably eat something. So I was cooking at 11pm that night and didn't get to bed until 1am. It was not a peaceful night as DH was snoring all night. There was no energy in me for a workout yesterday.

This morning I hit the kb's again, this time it was newport. I hope to make it to the gym at lunch and also have bootcamp to look forward too. I was perusing the crossfit website and found that there is a crossfit gym within 2 miles of where I work. I might go check them out.

Lori-I too have the same problem when I run at night. I much prefer morning runs just to avoid that very issue. Sorry DS is crabby today. Hopefully he will straighten out as the day goes on.

Jen-I almost always feels more exhausted after a weight w/o than a cardio although I burn fewer calories. That doesn't mean that weight w/o are not worth the effort. I really want the GWF and hope to get it soon!

Wendy-Hope you are fully recovered before having to deal with a bunch of kiddo's!! Enjoy your run today!!:D

Jacque-happy to hear that the scale is moving in the right direction for you. My weigh-in with my NC will be on Sunday. I'm a little nervous as I don't think I've lost much...only 2#'s so far.

Laura-what were you up to this weekend???

gotta get some work done.
