Damage Control....Monday!

Hey Girls.

Not a good weekend for me and now not a good monday morning either. I thought I was getting better but alas I now have a new problem! I was okay y'day with the exception of being tired until shortly after I got to my FIL's house (around 3?). My stomach became unexplainabely gassy and bloated. I mean REALLY bloated. It was like had overeaten so much so that it was getting a little hard to breathe! My pants got tight, and my stomach was hard as a rock. Kept me from eating a lot but I wasn't happy about it. I took something at FIL's house and tried to go to the bathroom several times but nothing truly helped. It went away a little bit never fully. Now this morning it's still a little bloated and now I have stomach pains with it! UGH! I am still going to try to do my GS shoulder work out. I got up at 4:15 to do it so I am going to try. I have no idea what's going on but hopefully it goes away on it's own and FAST! :(

Good Morning!:)

O.k...so tonight I am going to bed no late then 10:30! I can't do this 6:30 thing every morning when going to bed at midnight. It would be much easier if the oylmpics weren't on or if Canada wasn't involved in something every time I decided to go to bed. Last night it was figure skating. I try to wake DH up to get up with him and then 30 mins later he gets up...whats the point in that? I told him to go back to bed b/c there is no point in both of us being up. He is still puttering around:mad:

Disc 19 and cardio is on the agenda for today. I'm not sure what the cardio will be.

Wendy** Sorry you are having these belly issues! I hate feeling like that. Discomfort like that as to be one of th worst things. Maybe it was the pizza? You should have stuck to bread and tea:) I would have done the same thing re:the shower. I wouldn't have wanted to go either if I didn't know anyone. You could have also used that you didn't want to pass the stomach bug on to someone else.

Diana** So when is Jerods party now? Next weekend? We told DD that she may not get a party this year, not unless she smartens up! I barely spoke to her yesterday, made me mad to look at her. Anyway, we won't go there this early in the morning. The good thing is I am still mad so we are being pretty harsh on her, haven't given her any leway at all. Is it :)disc 19 for you today to?? Im looking forward to it. If I register for this marathon I have to wrap my head around STS as well. I know alot of people don't lift weights when they are training for a race but I can't imagine going 18 weeks with no weight training. Its just not gonna happen. I probably won't do any leg weights the last 2 weeks or so.

Jacque** Recipe sounds yummy. Im half tempted to make those today but I don't know if i have enough egg whites:confused:

I'm back. I am force feeding myself a banana after barely making it through GS Shoulders. My stomach is a mess. UGH! If it doesn't get better by early this afternoon I may have to ask my boss if I can leave early to go back to the doc. I'm kind of nervous about what this could be now b/c it's lasting a long time IMO. :(:confused:

Lori:: Nope, not the pizza. It started BEFORE I ate and I hadn't eaten a lot prior so I don't think it could have been that either! :confused: Enjoy your work out today. I scrapped the cardio. I am lucky I did anything at all this morning. Cardio was definitely out of the question for me.

Okay, I gotta get us ready for school/work now. Not sure how my day is gonna go but I'll be back later to let you know. I'm hoping it just magically goes away as suddenly as it came on! Seriously!!!!!

Hi ladies,

Yesterday I cleaned out our filing cabinet and shredded tons of stuff! Everything from 2002 is gone. We also set up our new wireless printer...woo hoo, very cool. There is still more organizing to be done..but it will have to be another day.

Although I didn't workout yesterday, I was busy pretty much all day long. We did take Jerod to Jack in the Box for dinner...his choice. My dinner was a chicken fajita pita, quite good. I also had curly fries and they were delicious. I do feel a little guilty about the fries, but I rarely have fast food so i'm okay with it.

No workout for me this morning...the weather is nasty so I will be giving Jerod a ride to school and then heading to work. Not to worry though, bootcamp class is tonight. The high for today is 20 and the overnight low will be 6 degrees...bbbbrrrrr.

Wendy-I hope you feel better soon. Hopefully the Dr. will have an answer for you.

Lori-well I should be doing disc 18, but it will be done tomorrow. Then I will repeat discs 16, 17 and 18 before moving on. Jerod's party is rescheduled for next Saturday, hopefully the weather will cooperate. When is the marathon? Most marathon training programs I've looked at incorporate weight training, not super heavy though.

Jacque-thanks for the recipe. It was my test print to my wireless printer.:D Two of the 5 computers are set up to print wirelessly now. The kids will have to set up their own computers to print if they want to.

Laura-My trainer sent us the two workouts we've had so far. If you are interested I can email them to you.

Jen-oooohhhh...you have walls!! How exciting that must be. Can't wait to hear how the house is coming along.

Morning girlies!!

had late nights each night this weekend ... slept late .. and hade MAJOR CLEANMAX on house .. and and ENDLESS pile of laundry .. :mad: .. my back has been giving me fits (kidneys) . . so NO workouts to report ..:mad: :( :mad:.. my back is still hurting :mad:.. but I am GONNA force myself to workout at lunch and have class tonight .. maybe it will get better ... :( DH got up this morning and made breakfast :( after I told him I was gonna have my protien breakfast shake aahhhhhh .. sabotage at every corner.. VBF wants the girls to get together this week .. UGH .. luckily i have a hair apnt I CANT miss .. LOL!!!

Lori .. sorry about DD acting out .. sounds like typical teenage behavior .. wish I had some advice .. but all my friends that have daughters .. oohhhhh .. there is always some kind of drama .. and mother's and daughters and their differences .. I dont envy you for sure .. hoping for the best!!!

WEndy .. blesss your heart .. it does sound like a bug .. and I know that dang hard @$$ lump in your tummy .. UGH .. that is THE worst!!! Hoping you get to feeling better ...

OK .. so gonna force myself to either power walk the trail (if the weather clears) .. or go to gym and do TM and bis and tris .. tonight is ALL CARDIO step!!! have a great one!!!
 
Morning ladies !

Well too much rain to cut tree branches y'day so reviewed my taxes and played re: job hunting/interviewing and watched Olympics. GOOOO USA (in hockey !) *Sorry Lori !* :p

Chest is done and looks like DWP is on tap for cardio after work. Supposed to be clearing and mid 50's today so a little nicer than the weekend turned out to be.

Except Wendy - sometimes when I get that bloaty belly like you describe I take Pepto and put a heating pad on it. Learned that the heat helps the *bubbles* escape after I had my first C-Section. We couldn't leave the hospital until we passed some *bubbles*. :rolleyes: Hope it gets better soon!
 
Well by the time I got to work this morning it seemed as though my stomach problem had disappeared as quickly as mysteriously as it had appeared in the first place. I think there is still a small amount of bloat still hanging around but it's not troublesome and no more pain. Trouble is now that I did not pack a "full day's food" because I was far from hungry this morning. Now I will no doubt be STARVING with no food left to eat before the day is over. :eek:

Thanks for the advice and the well wishes. I guess the well wishes worked cause happily I shouldn't need to take the advice. ;) I did try pepto yesterday though and it didn't seem to do much. I also tried gas x and tums. Nothing really did much. Whatever it was, I bid it farewell and hope it never returns! :D

If I still feel good *knock on wood* after work I may try to bang out a short cardio work out since I had to skip it this morning.

just reporting .. power walk didnt happen b/c of weather .. went to gym and got on TM .. and TM seemed to skip which thru me off .. so I jumped over to the elliptical .. and did CC#5 on it .. I sweated lots more than I wanted .. and it set my butt and hammies on fire .. I will be sore again :confused: ...OH WELL .. :D

DH came to town and picked me up a subway sandwich .. and REAL Layes chips .. aaahhhhhhh ..there goes that sabotage again :confused:
 
Lori - you are such an energizer bunny I doubt that lifting (STS) will bug you much ! I'm with you on the sleep thing too. I took some Melatonin last night since DH keeps waking me up. This AM I woke at 5 (didn't go to sleep until 11) and he started his snory noise about 5:10. At least I woke up myself ! :eek: I love the pancake recipe - it keeps me full all day unti lunch and is so clean and healthy ! :p

Wendy - good to hear you're doing better ! I haven't figured out why it happens to me either - just know what to do after much experimentation. OMG - Wendy without food and hungry? We know those two don't match ! LOL ! Hope you have the energy for a nice little cardio afterwork. Don't wanna join me with DWP huh? ;)

Laura - Sounds like you had a nice weekend except for the kidney issue. Run around enough to not do a workout it sounds like. Ya ya ya for DH winning - did the two of you together end up coming out ahead? That works ! :p So did you fall off the TM or did it just cause trouble for you? Fine time for DH to start sabotaging you, huh? My Happy Hour took care of my good week last week. At least I'm not any higher that the start of the week - I did measure and lost a tad bit here and there. Woo Hoo STS !

Diana - Nice job on the ShredMax ! ;) That's what I need to do too. Should take my files out and purge while watching TV but never do. :confused: Yum - curly fries sound scrumptious. I had my share of "cheat" at happy hour with a few appetizers and Chevy's nice warm fresh chips and salsa. You'll blast it off tonight at Bootcamp anyway ! Wireless printer sounds cool. Sometimes I have to forward by email or copy to my thumbdrive to print on the other computer. Technology at it's best !

Jen - hope you get caught up at work this week and are feeling better !

Off to get some food in me to start storing my energy for HiiT ! Cheers !
 
Hi Girls

It was a beautiful spring day here today:) I know its not really spring but a girl can dream! I took DS outside for a little bit and all I could hear was snow melting! It was devine!:eek: But I know it wont last. I really wish winter were over though!

So my running partner stopped by this afternoon and I think we have both committed to the marathon! I will get the knot in my stomach when I am actually registered and flight booked, which will probably be by the end of this week:confused: What am I getting myself into? Seriously??

Todays workout was disc 19 and a 5 mile run. I had only intended to do 30 mins but DH came home while I was on the TM so I stayed on for alittle bit longer. My intention was to do a short run today and another short run tonight now I dont have to!

Wendy** Glad to hear you are feeling better. We have had some kind of stomach bug in this house for over a month now. DH and DS caught whatever I had and it seems to be lasting alot longer with them. DH can eat some pretty harsh food and DS loves cereal and milk was what the Dr told me to stay away from.

Laura** Yep, seems like everyone is out to get you!;) This weekend I think I have a going away thing on Fri night and then another hockey game with DH, which usually involves drinks afterwards! Im starting to miss my boring weekends! Hope your back feels better soon!

Diana** So your having snow and we are having spring:) How odd is that! I think its suppose to be like this all week and if thats the case, alot of this snow should be gone by the end of the week. Making it easy to get my long run in this weekend...I should be on week 5 of training for this stupid marathon! LOL

Jacque** If canada had played the whole game like they did the last 5 mins they may have had a chance! Geez! I dont know much about hockey but even I knew they werent playing very well!

Thought I would check in while dinner was cooking and DS is in the tub. I wonder what time bedtime will be tonight.....Im thinking before 8!

well now VBF has moved the GGT .. for THURS AFTER CLASS :mad: UGH :mad: I swear I cant catch a break .. yes I could say no and not go .. bu OMG .. woudl feel HORRIBLE if I did!!

Jacque .. I didnt fall of TM .. but it skipped .. like going at a reg pace then all of a sudden slow for no reason .. so I found myself almost tripping on my feet and the base of the TM .. the others were occupied . so grabbed and elliptical .. which kinda glad I did .. got a different burn (in that same old sore spot .. LOL)

Lori .. I know I feel like my schedule never gives me a break .. UGH .. sometimes just a good old BORING weekend is a nice break .. although my deep sea fishing is right around the corner .. those will be far and few between once we start fishing!! LOL

OK .. 10 minutes and I am OUTTA HERE .. super cardio step here I come .. back ache and everything~:eek:
 
A cardio work out? Who said anything about doing a cardio work out this evening? Surely that wasn't ME who said that!? :eek: Yeah...you guessed it....another good intention down the old tubes girls! I was exhausted by the time I got home and had dinner. I laid down on the couch at 6:30 and was sleeping by about 7 and didn't get up until 8:30! :eek: I sure hope I can sleep tonight! :(
