Damage Control...Monday...

Good Morning.

I was the last to post last night so there's nothin' to catch up on here but I figured I'd get us started anyway just so Lori can't! :D:p

I'm not workin' today so I'm hoping the weather is better then it was last week. I'd like to actually be able to spend a little time outside with DS before he goes back to school next week.

Guess that's all for now but I'll be back!:)

FYI for future Insanity owners....Diana & Jen for sure! ;)

I was on the O/D and was reading what the gal who had those great results with Insanity was doing and after 2 weeks she began adding in GS Upper Body! I think I will start with One on One as mentioned last night just to get used to it and then try to work my way up to the upper body X and X+ work outs and do it that way. That means that my main rotation will be Insanity with the X thrown in for additional upper body work. This being said, be prepared for one exhausted damage controller around here! Don't be surprised if you get some posts with letters trailing of like thiiiissssssssssssssss.
That will be the indication that I passed out while typing and did a face-plant onto my keyboard mid post! LMAO! :p

Good Morning!

Wendy** You are such a meanie!!!:D Enjoy your day off!!!

Well...it is only 8:30 here and DS is already on his first time out! I think its gonna be a long day, stuck in the house! I think the weather is suppose to clear up after lunch, so maybe we will get outside.

No water in our basement!:D Remember the flood last year? The phone rang at 2:51 a.m and it was a guy down the st, he had water in his basement. Im hoping we solved the problem last yr when we filled the hole with cement. But my dad said if water wants to get in your basement it will.

I have some crazy DOMS in my legs! My legs didn't hurt yesterday morning until half way through my run so I knew the DOMS was coming. If it clears up Im not sure if I will run soon or wait until tonight so the DOMS will be calmed down a little.

I will bbl. I may tackle making some bread:eek: never done it before. And I am probably going to do disc 29 today as well

Lori:)

I'm back.

Jackie's upper body and 6 min abs (last min add-on decision) are done. I will do Insanity this afternoon. I couldn't bare the thought of tackling that before 8am! LOL

Lori:: Have fun hobbling around on sore legs! Enjoy your work out and let us know how the bread turns out if you decide to try it. It's supposed to be more pleasant outside this week so I too am hoping to get outside a bit. Tired of being cooped up with nothing to do.

BBL!

Good Morning girls!

Yesterday was a busy day and I never got here to check in  We had some school shopping to do, then we hit the town Chowderfest for a little while, and when I got home I did Bodymax 2 in its entirety. I'm tired today! I ended up staying in bed this morning and skipping a workout. It's likely I won't get one in tonight either, as it's my grandmother's 97th birthday  and we're celebrating that tonight.

I have a lot of personals to catch up on, so I'm headin' back to read the past two days threads and will bbs to catch up.

Jen

Wendy: Totally bagged it  I didn't have the patience for it. The thing about SS is that I was investing 60+ minutes a day and only seeing a calorie burn of about 200 calories a workout. I know I shouldn't become obsessed with the numbers like that, but I am. I'm okay with getting a 200 cal burn from a 30 minute workout, but those mothers are long and I want a greater return for my investment. So, Insainity is looking better and better ;)

Monday Monday Da da da da da da <<< singing as the Mama & Papas did>>>

Anyone old enough to remember that one?

Well we had a very nice weekend but were in the fog at the beach the entire time. It would have been great to see the views with some sun on them, but oh well. Great food, some new sites and the Monterey Bay Aquarium (for 6 hours of walking yesterday ! - I was dyin' at the end) and ended up with a fab cioppino at another little town on the way back home. Yummy !

No exercising this weekend other than all the walking yesterday. Kicked myself for not running y'day AM while DH was napping - as we drove the road to get to the Aquarium it was a great little running trail ! Live & learn.

Off work today and plan is to finish here, pay bills, do MM (sans legs) & Strong Legs & Abs this AM, then I may hit the road this afternoon since it's only gonna be 82ish today and would be great running weather. Have loads of "to do's" on the list and will try to get as many done as possible. Got most of the house clean already so have a good start.

Wendy - well you have had quite an "insane" few days huh? I am wanting to cave but DH's co is not getting paid lately so thinking I may have to reserve for a while. Will see how long I can last ! :p The Insanity/X rotation sounds like it would be very beneficial and tiring too. Hoping it works well for you. So Joey is back to school next week, you will go insane both with workouts and lots of time to yourself then, LOL !

Jen - Well guess we were eating some great chowder just about the same time yesterday ! (Well you a bit earlier, but I'm sure just as scrumptious !) I'm with you right now on the cal burn too as I am not getting enough cardio in. Need to work on that a bit more - the leg workouts are helping keep the cal burn up there though since my rotation is 2 leg workouts per week w/1 FB. Not feeling so loosy goosy in the legs since I started it.

Diana - well you have had a very productive weekend and gotten some good workouts in there. Can't wait to hear how you enjoy the Insanity disc from Wendy. Hope your training at work is productive for you this week.

Lori - hope the time outs are limited today and the rain gives you a break. Something I didn't deal with much being in CA, but when I had my 3 kids in the house for too long it was a drag. Nothing like getting them out for some fresh air and exercise ! ;) Bummer about your sleep patterns this weekend - you caught up enough to work on your training plan with full force?

Laura - so how was your get away this weekend?

OK - off to get started - BBL to see what the haps are . . .

MM UB Push/Pull & Stronger Legs complete. Off to eat, shower and get movin'. About an hour workout - GWF 'says' 320 cals. Not too bad. Now I gotta get moving and stay that way the remainder of the day ! :p

Ugh, I'm having the hardest time getting back here today. Will catch up later, I hope!

Jacque: That's a pretty good calorie burn! Which rotation are you doing? I know you've said it but I forget

Well I'm having a happy day here - called our lender who had us approved for a refinance, no costs, no points, no appraisal and papers to be signed just sent to the house. It will drop our pymt $425 per month just in case . . . then the plan will be to continue paying the same I have been. Int rate not really that much lower, from 6 - 5.625, but it doesn't cost me anything so what the heck ! :p

Jen - I am doing Cathe's July 09 Butts & Guts rotation. My UB is perhaps a little smaller than at the end of STS a few months ago, but still toned. Legs were getting a tad flabby looking without heavy lifting so this is helping. I started about the same time as GWF and with all the non-workout days and some non clean eating/CABs have maintained my original 2 lb loss. Need to step it up a bit with more activity though ! I have lost 1/2" in the thighs, abs and hips and my stomach has flattened out pretty well. That is truly what I am looking for. I believe the UB has lost a little fluff too so thinking the extra leg workout helps all around for me at least. Still eating a little more than previously too. That is extra nice ! ;)

Off and running again but just had to share my happiness and lack of having to fill out apps, sign papers at an escrow office, etc. With DH's company not being able to collect the $ they are due I need to get this done quickly !

Later . . .

Hi ladies,

I'll be pullin' up the rear this week. I did get up in time to go for a 35 min run outside. I've love the cooler weather in the morning and since I knew I would be sitting in a training class all, I needed to do something to get the steps in.

The place I'm going for training is an hour away-YUCK:mad: Terrible traffic on the highway, glad I don't have to drive it everyday. I walked to a nearby subway for lunch so that helped a tad too. I also did some walking tonight at Jerod's football practice. I'm only at 13K but if I make it over 10K I am pleased.

The rotation calls for L&G tomorrow. It's a shorter workout so if I'm up early enough I should have time to get that done. I also have bootcamp tomorrow night so that will take care of my cardio.

Wendy-when are you starting the official Insanity rotation? I think combining it with P90X or X+ or GS sounds good.

Lori-hope the weather cooperates so you don't get cabin fever being inside all day. Did you make your bread??? Did it turn out? Do you have a bread machine? I do not have much luck with any recipe that calls for yeast. My dad told me it just took practice and to remember to make the necessary adjustments for our high altitude. Anything I ever made with yeast was as hard as a brick...and I'm not kidding. Only took a few times before I stuck to sweet breads-no yeast involved!

Jacque-nice job on the refi! Our lender wouldn't give us the rate we wanted because they considered it a cash out loan, even though we didn't take out any cash. It had something to do with the HELOC not being taken out at the same time as the mortgage. If it had been, we could've stayed with our current lender and gotten the 4.375 rate instead of the 4.5 rate. I'm not going to complain though. Wonder how you got out of the appraisal. Wish I could've too.

Jen-you must be super busy at work...no worries. Check in when you can.

Nighty Night Chicas!
