Damage Control June :)

Hi Ladies,

I had an early laser appt and haven't done much this morning. The plan is the next STS disc and short cardio, either BR or ZWOW. Tri training starts up again this next week, but will have to be done on my own and I'm not really looking forward to that. It was much easier to go to have a scheduled class. I have a rotation to follow though and that will help me a lot. I'm also signing up for an open water swim clinic that will be held at the same resevoir as the triathlon.

DH and I opened our new bank accounts yesterday and will be transitioning everything over the next 30-45 days. This weekend I will be making a list of all our automatic debits/credits etc., it's a lot of work but I'm happy to be done with our bank.

Lori-jealous of your nice weather...our temps will continue to be 98 to 100+ degrees...today is expected to be 103. I hate the heat!:mad: Enjoy your day without DS1, he will be having so much fun anyway. My middle son is not a morning person at all. I really wished school started later for him. Not only was he hard to wake up, but I knew he certainly wasn't ready to comprehend anything that was being taught that early.

Laura-hope you enjoyed Date Night!!!;) DH and I went out for a late lunch/drinks after our opening our new accounts. I know I say this a lot, but I so enjoy spending time with DH alone and it rarely happens. Just so busy with Jerod.

Wendy-what are you up to this weekend? I saw your pizza recipe on FB, it looks good to me, but my family probably wouldn't care for it.

Good Afternoon. :)

I was here around 11 am or so and was almost done with a pretty long post when my computer mysteriously shut down on me and I lost the post. :mad:

Today's work out was IClimb 20 mins #1 on the stairclimber, a 1 mile run, lower abs and obliques at gym + YFTW-30 mins of yoga plus the stretches at the end of the work out.

Just finished lunch and now I have to shower up coz we will be heading out in the jeep with top off to enjoy the weather this afternoon!:cool:

Diana:: Happy to hear the scale is back down again. Always a relief. :) So what work out did you decide on? The only real plan we have to is head up by my mom tmrw afternoon for some swimming at her SO's condo pool and dinner. Other then that we are shooting from the hip. :) TY re last night's dinner. It was good! Enjoy the swimming course. I need to sign DS up for swimming lessons still...:rolleyes:

Lori:: Nice work out! What a great idea to put a baby pool at the bottom of a regular backyard slide! That's awesome!:D

Good Morning:)

Yesterday was o.k. I had to bring the baby home from a bday party because he was sleepy and I would have rathered stayed there and socialized. Then when I get home I figure I'll take a nap too and whadya know! His nap last for about 10 mins! He finally went for his nap 5 mins before DS returned home....so there went that idea! The evening was kind of long because I was going to go to my inlaws but the baby slept until 7:30. I ended up mowing the lawn after and doing some weeding.

Today I have no real plans. I would like to take the kids to the park where my SIL is and I also wouldn't mind getting some flowers for some pots this afternoon. I'm going to have to take DS some where cause he's going to be bored out of his mind.

Yesterday's workout was just 10 k outside. I'm not sure what I will do today, probably something in the basement even though it's beautiful out again.

Diana** I don't think I would survive in that heat. It's still a little to warm here when there isn't a breeze. Yesterday at the bday party I thought I was going to melt! I usually get a shower before I go to sleep because I've sweat so much through out the day. Are you going to try and beat your time with the next tri?

Wendy** well the slide isn't that long....to bad it wasn't one of those twisty ones. Either way, it's more then I had when I was growing up! And we would hop in whatever water we could find...now everything is to cold for the kids! Just another way we have them spoiled I guess.

I may bbl to report. If not I will be here bright and early in the morning * yawn*!

Good Morning.

Y'day was a fun day. After I finished working out and DH got home from the gym we hopped in the jeep :cool: and took our dog to a dog park that DH discovered. From there we hit a playground in a different park for DS. After that came dinner out at Outback Steakhouse and then home for drinks and a game of Uno. :)

Today after Church we are hitting the gym for weights and then this afternoon we are going swimming and having dinner with my mom and her boyfriend.

Lori:: I have been a cold water weenie all my life! LOL I was never one of those kids who would jump in a pool b/c I was always afraid of how cold it was and it always takes me FOREVER to get into a lake, pond or the ocean b/c they are always too cold for me! :eek: Do you have a Chuck E. Cheese or something equivalent to that in Canada? I'm sure your DS would LOVE it! Most kids do...unfortunately!:p:rolleyes:

Good Morning Ladies!

I stayed up too late watching tv last night and then woke up around 3:30 cuz I was all plugged up and it was too stinkin' hot to sleep. We have central air but it still is hot upstairs, and especially our bedroom which is above the garage. I finally got back to sleep and slept until 10. Now I feel like half the day is gone.

We are looking at another day of hot temps, from 98-104, ugh.:mad: Needless to say we will be staying inside again.

Today will be the next STS disc, Back & Triceps and a short cardio w/o if I can muster one. The tri training program is 6 days/week and basically followings bike/run/swim/bike/run/swim philosophy. Looking up the pool schedule so I can get the swims in.

Wendy-I saw your w/o on FB, nice one. Zuzana looks amazing in that w/o. You are a good mom, braving Chuck's so often. I took my boys once and never went back, it was a nightmare IMO. A weekday excursion would've been better for my first experience. Enjoy the day with your family!

Lori-sorry your evening didn't go a as planned. I love mowing the lawn....living with 4 males does that to a girl. I'd much rather mow the lawn than clean 3 bathrooms! My next tri is longer, the swim is more than twice the distance of the first and the run is a mile longer so it will definitely take me longer than the first.

Laura-Your sunrise pic is beautiful! Enjoy the rest of the weekend on the water.

Good Morning

Don't really have a plan for today...glad I survived another weekend though. I don't have the girls today (not sure if I told you that I take care of my nieces) so I may take DS to my friends house after lunch, she has a pool. I also wanted to get more flowers and I may do that later...I could even do that after dinner tonight.

Yesterday's workout was AB, 40 mins on the TM and BM abs...haven't done that one in a long time. I don't know what today's workout will be but I'm thinking cardio and some UB weights.

Wendy** sounds like you had a awesome day with your family!:p. DH wanted me to come visit this weekend but it's to soon. I also think I am going to save my airmiles and take DS with me when I got and surprise him in aug month. If I am nursing I will have to take the baby too....and that's where it get complicated. I don't think I can manage two of them on my own. Although DS1 is a lot easier to handle when I am alone. Yesterday at my inlaws he was put in time out b/c he wasn't listening. The baby was crying when we left and they offered to let me go home and get the baby straightened away and then they were gonna bring DS home but I took them both. Both kids were fed,bathed,and in bed shortly after. They both do better with peace and quiet.

Diana** I wouldn't survive in that heat. That's the temp of our hot tub actually. In the evening it cools down here so I open the windows and get all the muggy air out of the house. I feel bad for the baby b/c he is still in one piece Jammie's but I can't put him in something short sleeve cause he will get cold at some point during the night. It's usually not to hot in his room when he first goes to bed. I'm sure you will do great with the tri. I'm guessing your dreading the swimming the most!

I will probably bbl today.....

Hi Ladies,

This heat is awful...two more days of triple digits in the forecast then back to the high 90's.

The next STS disc is on tap for today, legs. Meso 1 should be complete in the next week. My tri training doesn't incorporate weights at all, but I'm going to try to keep them in. I'm already feeling a difference after 3 weeks of weight training. Unfortunately my weight is up a couple pounds again, hopefully the tri training will take care of that.

I'm kind of dreading bootcamp tonight in this heat. I felt sick after last weeks class and that's no fun. The workout was good, we are just not accustomed to these high temps in CO.

Monday - UGH

well - we had a NICE camping weekend - the water was gorgeous - no fish - but saw snakes - alligators - and a wild cat - looked like a bobcat and a housecat mated :eek: I of course didnt sleep well - and we were up at sunrise again - we got home ystdy afternoon - and chilled out by the pool - the clouds of course came out when we got home - dang TS DEBBIE is taking her sweet time just neandering around in the GUlf .. looks like she is gonna screw up this weeks vacation and trip too:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: but what can you do - we have cloud cover here - and looks like some bands from it are here - winds and cloudy - no rain yet - we need rain here - but not like poor FL has been getting ... aaahhhhhhhh

Lori - what are your temps there?? we are in teh mid 90's - it is HOT here!!

Di - you are getting some high temps too huh? what about the fires?? hope they are staying away from you!

Wendy - great workouts missy!!

I am hoping w/this cloud cover - and winds I may get a run in this afternoon - if not i WILL be doing SOMETHING!!! ugh

Good Afternoon.

My work out is done! Itread 20 mins #5 + the 15 min climbing segment (done on the EXT) from ITri #8. Then it was home for Premix #1 of YogaMax. :)

Tomorrow's plan is a full length Kundalini yoga work out...Maybe I'll have the 4th one I ordered by then! :D

Laura:: Sorry about the crappy weather. We got a nice storm this morning. Sky super dark with clouds, pouring rain and thunder and lightening...It was kinda good though coz it encouraged me to clean the house while I was waiting for it to clear up so we could head to the gym! ;)

Diana:: Do your best and forget the rest! :) If you can get in strength training simultaneously with tri-training then great, do it but if you can't then you can't. It'll be there for you when you are done with the race. :) Be careful training in the heat. Evenings are not a great time to train when it's hot. I remember taking running classes and on really hot days the heat had not yet broken one ioda. Early mornings are best but I know it's tough making it work with your schedule. Just be careful...Chuck's is not my favorite place but DS enjoys it and on not-nice weather days it's a good option to entertain him so I deal with it. There are definitely better (quieter) times to go then others and over-all as long as I can get a seat by the doors while DS plays I am fine. I always bring something to entertain myself with until the torture is over....:p I also refuse to stay for hours. I've never stayed even 2 hours unless it was for a party. I usually take him there for around an hour. It's definitely enough! :eek:

Lori:: Nice work out! Makes me tired just reading it!:eek: Yep, sometimes too many people trying to "help" only makes the whole situation worse. I hear you!

Okay off to get cleaned up. I cleaned the house this morning during the storm we had as I was telling Laura so now I can take DS to the park this afternoon w/o feeling guilty for leaving a messy house behind. ;)

Hi Ladies,

Completed STS Legs as planned this morning.

Did you all see the new dvd's will begin shipping this week. Yay...I'm so looking forward to trying them out. With the tons of premixes there should be no reason for me not to fit in a a short cardio session!

Lori-What a wonderful Auntie you are to take care of the girls for SIL! I neverminded watching my nieces/nephews, but that's where I drew the line. btw, MIL wants to go to Nova Scotia next year. Silly me, thinking it was close to you, but it looks like more than 500 miles away. It may be a girls trip with MIL, SIL, my 2 nieces. If your still nursing in Aug, take the baby and leave Rylan with the Grandparents. Traveling with the 2 boys would definitley be more difficult than just taking 1 of them.

Wendy-my house needs cleaned and it's too stinkin' hot to do anything! At least you used your time wisely this morning! I'm taking your advice and focusing my training on my upcoming triathlon. We all work towards goals and since this is mine for the moment, this is where my focus will be.

Laura-Hope TS Debbie passes soon. I heard on the news this morning we have 13 active fires burning in our state. It's so sad seeing how many homes have been lost, it's hard to fathom. Only 1 death so far. Fortunately most folks were able to get out, some without much warning and left with the clothes on their backs.

Hi Girls,

My workout today was 10k outside. I was debating doing weights but I didn't bother. I needed to get some groceries and I didn't want to be stuck here all day cause I will have a house full of kids tomorrow and I won't be able to move.

Diana** I am sure those couple of pounds will disappear when you up your cardio again. We are pretty fair from NS but as close as you can get to me:eek: Maybe by that time we will live in NS! Then we will be able to meet!:)

Wendy** Nice workout as usual! What kind of storm did you guys have?

Laura** I actually had to put the sprinkler on the lawn b/c everything is drying out. I think we are suppose to have rain some time this week though. I will keep my fingers crossed that your vaca doesn't get screwed up!

So with all the talk about temps I had to look it up...my 26-30 degrees is your 78-86 degree weather. We would never see temps like you gals have and I don't think I would want it either:eek:

I shouldn't have let the baby sleep so long yesterday evening:eek: He didn't go to sleep until after 12 BUT he slept through the night and didn't wake until 6:15 and he is still sleeping now. So even though I went to bed later, I think I got more sleep and a better sleep.

I am not sure what today's workout will be. I will do weights while I am keeping an eye on the kids and then after I will do cardio. I didn't have any issues with working out when they were here all day on Fri but I was up earlier and so was the baby.


I will bbl to report my workout. Aiming to do the GS's!

Good Morning. :)

No early morning work out for me today. Dropped DS off at camp just before 8am and now killing what little time I have before heading to vet appt to get my dog a check up at 9:30. I also have the T-Mobile Store and Kohl's on my to-do list...

When I DO get to it, my planned work out is some type of brief cardio "warm up" and then the Body Electric DVD (Kundalini Yoga).

I just checked the status of the latest DVD I ordered and it's not due to be delivered until tmrw so I will have to wait to try it until later in the week...

Diana:: Yay for the new DVDs being shipped this week! I'm going to have to adjust my rotation in order to try them when they arrive! Have any DOMS from STS legs?

Lori:: Who needs GS when you will have a house full of little ones you can pick up and put down all day long!? :p We just had a regulation thunder storm but I HATE thunder and lightening so I don't go out in it if I don't have to. I was more then happy to clean my house until the storm passed!:eek: Your summer temps sound perfect for me! Perhaps I need to get myself a summer home in Canada? :D

Morning Ladies,

We got up to 105 yesterday...UGH:mad: Our bootcamp trainer was kinder to us last night. We still worked out, but not nearly as much running. More stationary and walking exercises.

I'm giving cardio a try today. Wish me luck!

Wendy-Actually I've been a bit sore from all the STS discs, but nothing terrible. The back especially feels it, from all the pullups/chinups....and lets not forget the pushup torture. Have fun running all your errands today!

Lori-Hope you can fit GS in today...not sure how you do it with all the kiddos. If they can keep each other occupied..without fighting then you've got it made.

well ..looks like Debbie is finally moving out .. SLOOOWLY .. but she is moving now - the weather for Panama City is looking better - we may be able to fish afterall .. although it is confusing forecast .. one day good - one day bad - ??? we are hoping the new update will be clearer!! We will see ..

NO exercise to report - i was sooo tired by the time I left - and my head was pounding - I went on home - I was gonna get in the pool and relax .. HA ..the wind was howling the clouds were covered .. and pool was cool .. so I just sat outside relaxed w/DH and a few CABS - I did get to feeling better - although today my tonsil is swollen up DH FROZE me to death in the tent this weekend :confused:

Wendy - look like you are about to get some REALLY HOT temps - now you will be in mine and DI's boat .. LOL .. although 105 .. yikes .. we havent made it there yet .. think our highest was 98 so far .. but 98 HUMID degrees .. ugh ... GREAT workouts you are banging out!! good luck at Kholes!!!

DI - yup 105 .. you can keep those temps!! and YAYAYAYAYAYAAYAYAYA about the new DVD's about to ship .. I am excited and skkkeeered!! LOL .. she is gonna kick my butt!

Lori - your kiddos should be a workout in itself!! :confused: I dont see how you do it!! you are amazing!!

OK .. so SIL and I are gonna do a new Horizontal Conditioning DVD after work - she liked it so much she ordered 2 others :confused::confused::confused: I have created a MOSTER :p:p:p I am dreading it .. after goofing off and drinking CABS .. I am gonna be a pile of quivering MUSH .. LOL!!!

Hi Ladies,

I rocked BM2 Cardio Blast this morning! Only took a couple few second water breaks and paused the dvd both times so I didn't skip anything. Maybe that break from cardio is what my body needed. I'm not going to complain tho.

Today is bike ride for 30-60 mins, hope I can do that tonight. Oh yeah, high temp for today is 103....ugh. We don't have the humidity Laura does, it's a dry heat and it sucks.

Laura-hope the weather clears up in time for your weekend excursion. More new dvd's...yikes...are they from fuel & fitness also? I saw a 4pk dvd's for $70 that look pretty good.

Wendy-any good buys at kohl's? I just returned a ton of stuff...cleaned out my closet and took back stuff I bought but never wore. I like their Fila fitness wear.

My work out is done...FINALLY! :rolleyes:

I started with 4:30m of hooping as a w/u and then did the most recent BR for some cardio work:: BODYROCK.tv | Fitness Advice, Workout Videos, Health & Fitness | Bodyrock.tv and last but certainly not least I did The Body Electric Kundalini Yoga Work Out. All very good stuff!!! :)

Haven't made it out to run my errands and don't think I will at this point so Diana, unfortunately I have no good finds from Kohl's to share with you today. :( Maybe tomorrow though??? ;)

Diana:: Wow your temps are high! Dry or humid, really hot weather sucks but I'd rather have dry heat. Atleast you can breathe! We tend to get higher humidity in NJ and it tends to make it feel even hotter then it really is and makes the air so thick that it's hard to breathe it! :eek: Great job with BM2! Hopefully your issues with cardio are resolving themselves and you are right-maybe you just needed a break! :)

Laura:: Have fun working out tonight. There appears to be quite a buzz about the Horizontal Conditioning series. I haven't looked at it coz I sure don't need another work out on my shelf!:eek: Well, except for a few more yogas maybe! ;):p Funny that you mention being cold in the tent this weekend as I was freezing in bed last night. DH sometimes gets over-zealous with the air conditioning which is in the window about 2 foot from MY side of the bed!:eek: BRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!

Slept pretty good. The baby woke at 2'ish and he peed through his jammies:eek: So I had to change him and he did not like that one bit...he just wanted to eat! He didn't seem to care at all that he was wet:confused: And he let me know...he cried and woke DS up:mad: Surprisingly DS went back to sleep and so did I after a while.

Yesterday was o.k. I missed DH yesterday, hopefully today will be better. I know its going to be a roller coaster ride. I'm not going to stop missing him and never miss him again...6 months is a long time.

I ended up doing PH abs, GS B,S&B, MMA punching combos and just 20 mins on the TM. I may do C&T today and a longer cardio...or just cardio.

Wendy** I wish taking care of kids was all I needed to do to stay in shape! I would be entering every fitness comp known to man:eek: They weren't here long yesterday before one of them wanted to go and get the girl that lives up the st. I made her wait until after lunch. I shouldn't complain cause they are all good kids..but sometimes I don't need anymore then what's necessary.

Diana** Glad to hear you enjoyed BM2 cardio....your right, you probably just needed a little break from it. Sounds like you've upped your cardio again with the bike ride you had planned. I figure if I am to complete a body part, check on kids, complete another body part, check on kids...I will be ok. My goal is to start working out before they even arrive in the morning...I just need to get someone else to sleep through the night!

Laura** Sitting and having CABS with your DH sounds lovely! I need to get to the store and get me some booze!!!

I was just surfing for a work out to do this morning and after quite some time I finally found one that fit my mood! This is what I will do along with some kind of yoga that is YTBD depending on how wiped out I am after...

Not much planned for this morning here but this afternoon DS and I are going swimming at my mom's S/O's condo pool again for a couple hours and my mom is coming with us. Should be a nice afternoon so long as DS behaves himself! :rolleyes:

Lori:: Hey, if a woman could stay in shape just by taking care of kids then I'd either a) have 4 more or b) become a kindergarten teacher and you KNOW neither one of these is ever happening! :eek::p
