Damage Control June :)

Good Morning:)

Had a good evening with friend's last night. We couldn't get into the restaurant we wanted to eat at....didn't think about making reservations so we went some where else. While we were there my MIL called asking if the baby was o.k today b/c he had been crying every since he woke up at her house. I think he is to young to be scared of different surroundings.....so I'm thinking that he was hungry and that he didn't like the formula I had mixed for him. He hasn't had formula in a long time. I fed him and we headed back to the restaurant with baby in tow.

I am not sure what the plan is for today. We mentioned going on a little RT but no one else is up yet. Later this evening we are heading to the park where my SIL and family are and we are going to have dinner out there with them and our friend's. Should be a fun evening, esp for DS. So I don't know what today's workout will be. It's suppose to clear up later (cause it's still raining!) so maybe I will go for a run then.

I probably won't bb anymore today but I will check in tomorrow morning!

Good Morning. Happy Saturday!:D

Today's work out will be at the gym with DH. The plan (as long as time allows...) is to do some upper body weights, abs and a short run.

Tmrw's plan is yoga only.

This afternoon we will put the second coat of paint in Joey's room which will take far less time then the first as DH will be doing the bulk of it. :p

Tmrw afternoon we have a surprise 30th bday party to attend for one of DH's cousins.

Ok, my time is up...off to the gym! BBL or tmrw!:cool:

My gym work out is done... 1 fast mile on the TM, upper weights (2 exercises per body part w/exception of only 1 for shoulders), 1 upper ab exercise and 10 minutes on the stairclimber!:)

We changed our painting plan to Monday so that frees up our afternoon. Not sure what we'll do but hopefully something fun. Time for lunch right now though!

Hi ladies,

No workout for me today, resting up in anticipation of my triathlon tomorrow.

I'll be spending the day in the girls' room, putting faceplates back on, removing tape, cleaning the carpet etc. I bought a plastic tub to put all our painting supplies in. Right now they are in two cardboard boxes.

Lori-sounds like you had a nice run today. It is supposed to be 94 today, too hot for my liking. Tomorrow's high is slated for 82 and my tri heat starts at 8:20. I should be done no later than 9:45 so it shouldn't be too hot yet.

Wendy-nice w/o today girl! The painting cleanup is what I hate, but since I can't get anyone to help I need to get on it myself. Today is the perfect day since i'm not w/o and it's too hot to play outside.

Hope everyone had a good weekend. Mine was busy but good. :)

Y'day I had hoped for a full yoga work out but our day ended up being so fully packed that I just wasn't going to have the time so I did ZWOW #8 and a some of STS Ext. Stretch instead. Great work out. Still love Zuzana!:)

Today's plan is 30 minutes of cardio at the gym and yoga.

Diana:: I came here totally expecting a triathalon race report from you and I came up empty. Booh. :( I hope you have time today to fill us in! Can't wait to hear about it!:D

Lori:: I think today's "the day"....((((HUGS))))....He will be back before you know it! :)

Laura:: How was your weekend? How's Buster?

Hi Ladies,

I completed the triathlon! It took me an hour and 16 minutes and I was 16th in my age group. The swim was the most daunting for me, but it's the shortest leg so once I was out of the pool it was all good. It was a bit chilly on the ride, being wet and having windy weather. The second loop on the bike was slower than the first. My legs were like jelly when I started the run but that feeling quickly dissipated. I did the run slow and easy, not really pushing myself.

Wendy-sorry I left you hanging!:confused: Was simply busy yesterday. Picked my step moms ford focus that we are taking over the payments on. It is a cute little car. It's nothing I would ever pick out, just the same its a zippy little car.

Lori-Hugs to you missy. Hope the time flies by for you quickly. We are all here for you, whatever you want to talk about.

Laura-how did you spend your weekend???

Morning ladies ..

ruff weekend for me - my DA had to go to ER SAT night - shortness of breath - irregular heart beat - she is the aunt I am closest to - like a mother and sister and BF all in one - long story short - turns out she is HYPER thyroid :confused: oy .. here we go again :confused: she has been moody - and agitates easily - and gets things confused easily - so it does makes sense - but I will feel better if she follows up with a heart specialist too! Then SUN I got another kidney stone attack - have not passed it - but it has to be a stone - :mad: :( .. so no workouts to report - :( gonna try to get xfactor workout in at lunch .. to make up for some time .. then psbly TM run after work .. we will see .. DA follows up w/her DR today .. will see how that goes .

DI - COGRATS on the TRI!!!! :D:D:D:D we are proud of you - I cant imagine!!! great job!!! I can imagine your legs are talking to you today!!

Lori - has your DH left yet? nice run ystdy!! WTG

Wendy - great workout - I need to do a Zuzana rotation - in addition to my reg workouts .. she has had some good ones lately!! Buster: he is doing "ok" not eating right .. but feels ok .. just has no appetite ..

OK .. better get to work ..i have a short week this week ... on VACA Thurs and FRI .. supposed to fish .. given that my DA and Buster are ok- oh and weather permitting! have a great one!

My work out is done!


5 min w/u on EXT + 10 min on stairclimber + 20 min Itread #3 + one machine for lower abs + 60 mins of Body Electric (Kundalini Yoga)...


The yoga work out is the one I purchased and said it's totally not my style. Well I skipped the parts I had tried (and did not like) the first time and moved on to what I hadn't done yet. Gotta say I enjoyed it for the most part. Totally different from what I am used to and the music is awful (lol) but a good work out none the less. There are a few more parts I just couldn't "hack" and had to skip but now that I've been through the entire DVD one time I know what I like and I don't and have decided that it's worth keeping b/c I actually liked MOST of it!:D I MIGHT even try purchasing another one by the same instructors. They've put out 20+ dvds and some of the descriptions have sparked my interest! :)

Diana:: Big congrats on finishing your first tri!!! IDK anything about finish times in a race like that but it seems as though you kicked azz! Good for you!!!! Great job! :D

Laura:: Sorry to hear about your Aunt! Thoughts and Prayers are with her!!! Poor Buster but atleast he's feeling ok...hope he starts eating again soon! I am considering slowly bringing more Zuzana back into my work out routine as well (again). I've missed her! :)

So I ordered 2 more Kundalini Yoga dvds this afternoon with the Amazon Gift Card I have! They should be here next week! YAY! :D

Putting the second coat of paint on DS' bedroom walls today! Tomorrow morning we will see how well we did! With DH doing most of the 2nd coat I am sure it will be fine. ;)

Laura:: Nice lunch time w/o! Sorry about the rain. Felt that pain last week. It stinks. :(
 
Good Morning,

Sorry I have been MIA the last couple of days...had a few things on the go:( I'm doing o.k considering. I was very annoyed on Sunday night b/c this house was like a open house. The last few hours we had left to spend together people were stopping by and not knowing when to leave:mad: Then one of his friends called at 10:30 and wanted to come over...and I'm sure he wasn't coming alone. At this point DH wasn't even packed! DS didn't settle until 11:30!!! Probably b/c of all the commotion and when he went to sleep the baby woke up:mad::mad:.

Yesterday wasn't to bad. It came and went in waves. There was one point after lunch where I thought I can't do this....My crying made my mother get stressed out and now she wants me to move in with her and rent the house...LOL. As if 6 months wasn't going to be long enough as it was! I will just move to a isolated area with nothing to do!

I figured last night was going to be rough but I was really tired when I went to bed and I chatted with DH for a while. I feel pretty good so far today but this isn't the lonely time of day yet and we are also talking about me visiting him on Canada Day which is the 1st of July so that's probably why I feel better.

I went for a run yesterday and felt really sick! The only reason I can think of is that my appetite wasn't the best and stress doesn't do anyone any favors.

I will check back in later and catch up on personals. My parents are here until lunch time and then DS has speech this afternoon.

STS D3 Legs is done. Planning on some gym cardio later on with DH as well..

Busy day today-have some shopping to do-mostly for DS and DH plus a mani/pedi appoinment this afternoon and then ofcourse the gym...

Lori:: You sound like you are handling this much better then you thought you would. Good for you. You'll be ok. You don't seem to get frazzled too easily. Hope your plans to visit DH in July work out! :)

Ystdy - the rain cleared long enough for me to fit in a short run - but OMG .. it was SOOOO humid .. the air was thick and heavy - hard to breath -and I was DRIPPING sweat not b/c of effort but b/c of the humidity .. i looked like I had been in a rainstorm .. :p .. went 3 miles since I worked out at lunch .. and it felt GREAT doing a short run!! AWESOME in fact .. I guess I need to do that more often .. DOMS; in back/side from Xfactor .. a bit into the butt too .. could feel that when i was running too!

today is back to the eye doc - sigh - but I think they are doing better - not matting near as bad - I never know what he is gonna do or how I will feel so I am gonna do a workout at lunch JIC I miss this afternoon w/o (I usually get BAD headache - due to eye doc probing and messing w/my eyes) ..

Lori - {{{{ hugs }}}}} I cant imagine what you are going thru - and isnt that typical when smoethign important like this is going on and you want your alone time people come over and things get chaotic and mess it up .. poor thing!! Hang in there .. and July 1st is right around the corner!!! You have the kids to keep you busy - and the phone to keep you in touch - and now you have a date you will see him soon!! ;)

Wendy - ooooh STS legs .. killer! I NEED to tackle that again one day .. and I NEED a pedi too - I have given up on the mani .. HA .. my nails are pittiful .. would be embarrasssed for anyone to try to work on them .. guess I will have to give myself the pedi!!

Di - hope you are not too sore from the tri -

Hi Girls

Another quick check in. I did little over 10k outside but it was another crappy run. I guess I didn't eat much yesterday and that didn't help...plus I had a stitch on either side! WTF!? It just so happened that the girl I run with was hurting just as much so we walked from time to time.

I haven't been made today at all. Still feels like someone is sitting on my chest and I have a bad stomach but I'll survive!

I will probably bb tonight to catch up on personals. I will sit down with the computer and a DRINK and start reading!;)

Lunch - done

XFACTOR done - did a different one and wasnt expecting to sweat that much .. man .. included 90 second rounds of burpees no rest- burpees w/flying jacks - mountain climbers - plyo jack - jump squats - plyo lunges :confused: they UPPED intensity on me big time ...not to mention butt thrusts, hip thrusts, side leg knee up and leg out lifts - pushups w/side balance - side plank lifts - rear lunges -:confused: i sweated tons .. my hair is wet - and barely have on my make up - had to put hair in a clip .. :confused: :eek: .. and my butt is FRIED .. so is my core .. may call it a day on that one!! lol!!!

Lori - if you are like me .. stress is your main problem .. and if you havent eaten much .. you need to re-fuel!!

OK .. better run .. have a great one!
 
Went to the gym with DH and banged out a 20 minute TM run (30 min if you include w/u and c/d) with lots of hills and lots of speed. Kicked my arse which is already feeling sore from STS Legs this morning!!!!:eek: Also worked my obliques while I was there...

Tmrw's plan is a little kickboxing and alot of yoga/stretching. :)

Hi Ladies,

Just been busy and haven't had a chance to get here. I wasn't really sore from the tri like I thought I would be. My legs were a bit sore that night, but Monday they were fine.

Last night was my first Bootcamp class of the summer, we had a sub but my normal trainer will be back for Thursday nights class. We did an obstacle course, circuit training and tabata's...oh yeah and some tough ab work!

This morning I did a BR w/o. I'm really enjoying the BR w/o's especially when I'm short on time, which seems to be happening more often than I like. This week I need to decide which races I'm going to enter since that will determine my training program going forward. Just winging it this week.

I had an interview this afternoon that seemed to go pretty well. It's with a subsidiary of the company I currently work for. I should find out if they want to make me an offer in 1 to 2 weeks. The only downfall is my commute would double and I won't be able to wfh anymore.

Lori-I'm sure it's just stress and you will feel better once everything settles down. Hang in there. I know you can do this, you are superwoman!

Laura-so you have me really looking at the xfactor w/o's. I saw an infomercial for Met-Rx (the protein powder people) and they have an exercise program too. We have a fire going on and the smoke is really bothersome. It's over 40,000 acres and it's only 5% contained. Needless to say, we've been told not to exercise outside. Glad you are getting in some running, even if it is in hot/humid weather. You go girl!!

Wendy-I saw your nails, beautiful. I can't do mani's, but I do love my pedi's. You are getting some nice gym w/o's in....making me miss my gym w/o's. How's Joey's room look? What color did you go with?

How is everyone doing? I feel "o.k" today. I didn't cry yesterday so that was a good thing. I'm not sure what the weekend will bring though. Geez....

I was kept busy yesterday. DS had speech and after that I had to take DD to get a new bank card and run by our insurance company. By the time I got home my running partner was here and she stayed till 5...then over to my SIL's for dinner. After that I spent a HOUR on the trampoline with the kids. Now they are going to expect that all the time. I did get to facetime DH yesterday twice but today his course actually starts so I'm thinking our time may be limited. Hopefully after today though we will know when I can come and visit. I think by the time his homesickness sets in, I will be fine.

Wendy** Your better then I am when it comes to trying new workouts. If I don't like the music and I don't like the exercises, then I won't keep truck'in through it! And then you ordered more?:eek: I think your workout collection out weighs my lulu collection!;) My dvds should be here today. Maybe I'll try one today!

Diana** Congrats on the tri! Were you happy with your time? Swimming would probably be the thing I would have to work on the most too. I was never a big bike rider either but have started doing more spin workouts recently. Have you committed to the HM yet?

Laura** My kidney still hurts too...called to make an appt yesterday and I got the answering machine and I didn't call back. I should do that this morning. Stress is a awful thing! It was raining here alot last week but this week it's been pretty good so far. Nothing like wakimg up with the sun shining in your window when you feel miserable!:p

So I ordered myself some sympathy lulu on Mon...before he even left:rolleyes: I have a black pullover coming, a black tank top and shorts:D They have some new tanks online that I was looking at and DD caught me. She said "I thought we had to be smart with our money"? LOL....I told her I was allowed to look. Sadly enough we are probably better off now then we ever were. We have been really smart with our money. Plus we have that insurance refund and DH just filed his tax return.

Today's workout won't be a run outside. Im thinking of a circuit with the bike, My knee is kind of wonky!
