Damage Control June :)

Good Morning:)

Yesterday's workout was kind of lame. If I don't do it first thing in the morning, then I am dragging after lunch. And I remember there was a time when I hated working out in the morning and always waited until the afternoon:confused:. We had an appt for DS in the morning so I couldn't workout in the a.m...then I couldn't make up my mind what I wanted to do. I started with abs and 4DS shoulders....then I did 20 mins on the TM mixed in with DM. It was a o.k workout but DS was in the backyard, so I kept checking on him, the baby woke up, my FIL showed up....so I had lots of interruptions. Hoping to make up for that today. I really hate it when there is nothing I want to do!

Laura** Its funny how one workout can make you feel better about over indulging! I am happy to say that DH's birthday cake is now all gone...thanks to me:mad: At least I won't have to be looking at that anymore. Hope work isn't to nuts for you today!

Wendy** I can see why you would be irritated. I was going to ask you about Bob's workouts and Itrain too. I was going to download a Itrain workout yesterday but I didn't know which one to buy. And there is something about her voice that irritates me:p I'm not sure if I want her yacking in my ear for an hour! LOL I do feel the need for some new workouts but yet...there are some that I haven't even tried yet!

I will bbl to report my workout. 5 days till DH leaves....surprisingly I am holding up well. I'm not sure if I am o.k with it or if we have been talking about it so long that I don't think its happening. I'm sure Mon won't be a walk in the park.

Good Morning Ladies!

I'm always much more positive on the days I get to work from home! I received 2 messages from HR, one regarding the position I interviewed for and the other for a position I just applied for. We played phone tag yesterday but I'm hoping to touch base with both of them today.

I haven't been on the OD forum in ages, for the very same reasons already listed. If you don't have something nice or constructive to say, you should keep your mouth shut IMO. The topics seem to get out of hand and people can be so hurtful with their words. I prefer to stick with you all as we joke around, encourage and support each other, and are not hurtful.

A couple of girls in my tri class invited to do some open water swimming with them in preparation for another triathlon in August. I need to decide pronto if I want to do this other tri since it sells out fast. It's girls only which sounds good to me. Another couple of friends want me to run a HM in August.....I have some decisions to make since so I can get busy on a summer training program.

Laura-I saw all the pics of the fish on FB. Who's the lucky person that gets to clean them al? Yuck! Do you freeze them? You are crazy for running in 96 degrees, but glad it made you feel better!

Lori-Morning is the only time I know my w/o will get done...if it doesn't get done in the a.m., it probably won't happen. Just remember when DH is gone, it's in the best interest of the family and will be over soon.:) Plus you can vent to us anytime!

Wendy-STS TB is a great w/o. So are you doing STS??? I see that you've done discs 1, 2...and 3 is it? If I decide to do the HM, I'll be downloading Hal's HM program and determine when I need to start training. Are you taking the summer off? Seems like a good idea, no paying for daycare for Joey and you will enjoy this time with him.

Good Morning.

I have some DOMS from y'day's work out...mostly in my lower body. :)

Just finished 40 minutes of Turbo Barre and 20 minutes of Yoga Relax. Later on I will go to the gym with DH for a run and probably some more of that stair climber torture! ;)

Diana:: Oh my you sure have the potential for a lot of race training this summer! You go girl! :D Hope you can get in touch with HR regarding both positions today! Fingers crossed that you speak with them and get some type of positive news! So I am not doing an official STS rotation but I am using the DVDS for my strength training along with other methods..:) So far I've done discs 1 and 2 and 9 (9 is actually the first one I did and what got me motivated to do more of them!). Disc 3 was originally on tap for y'day but my plan got derailed by my long hair appointment so I did STS TB instead. I will probably won't get to D3 until next week now but I WILL get to it! ;)

Lori:: HATE when work outs don't go well. Soooo frustrating! :( Bob is TOUGH! Ask Di and Laura! They'll tell ya! He's all about getting the heart rate up even during strength training so be prepared to breathe heavy and sweat hard during every work out!!! I like ITrain alot but I seem to be in the minority around here with that especially when compared to Cardio Coach. I have several CC's and they are ok but overall I much prefer ITrain. It was always hard to know which ITrain to buy b/c unless they changed it, they only ever gave you a very short preview of the work out and no outline of how it's set up. I struggled with that at first but eventually just started closing my eyes and picking one. :p
 
WED - hump day

Morning Ladies ..

today is a bit calmer but still kinda crazy - damned full moon!!! ysty was INSANE - I left after work and got my hair done - OMG it took her forever .. I didnt get home till 7:15 .. yuck .. I hate that .. she got on a talking spree .. ugh .. I got about and inch and 1/2 cut off .. feels SOOOO much better - she was to do a FEW highlites .. but she put in more than I was expecting .. it is a little lighter that I thought it wuold be .. but looks nice tho! :D

Buster had a bad night last night :( DH to call the vet again today :( I am trying to prepare myself .. he is good one minute .. bad the next .. *sigh* ..but it is hard!!! His eyes are still sparkly and he still is spunky and active .. but refusing to eat!

Wendy - I am a bit sore from my run - my hammies and quads .. I need to stop talking about it and add some yoga back into my routine!! I didnt get a workout last night .. dang it!

Lori - LUV Bob - he is different - it starts so simple and easy and builds and builds .. and before you know it you are a quivering puddle of sweat! he pushes in a much different way than Cathe .. oh and I am a CC addict .. luv his sweet soothing voice!!

DI - keeping fingeres crossed on the phone calls - hoping you get the news you want!! wow you are gonna have a busy busy schedule if you do all those events .. wow!!

OK .. I had better run - SIL and I are to do AB tonight .. OH MY .. I am skeeered ... been slackinig on Cathe torture!!!!! I will be complaining tmrw prbly!! have a great one!
 
Hi Girls:)

Baby is a sleep and DH took DS with him...I should be napping:) Laziness hasn't hit me just yet. I use to love 15 mins snoozes. Just enough to give me a kick in the arse!

Today's workout was cyclemax and then I started to do STS FB but anti workout baby wasn't having that. I was hoping to finish it but didn't have much luck. Then I was a little annoyed with DH b/c we are down to 5 days and he is still doing work stuff. I know it has to get done and I don't want to say anything....just keeping the peace.

Diana** When will you find out if you got the job or not? A new job would be awesome. I am assuming it comes with a raise???? That would be sweet! I know what you mean about OD forum. I haven't been there in ages. I have no reason to go there. Whatever I need is right here. If I have a question about something, chances are someone here knows the answer. I have been burned over there a few times. Jump'ins! There was a point in time where I couldn't post anything b/c someone would twist my words around.

Wendy** So what workouts would you suggest from Bob? I am sitting here with no kids yelling out to me and my cc isn't to far away!!!:p

Laura** You poor thing! Did you know that there is a marshmellow flavored vodka out now??? I think I am going to have to pick me up some of that sh*t! LOL

So we got some good news today. Bout time. Not that its been that stressful around here but it seems as if DH is always jumping hurdles. So.....I noticed a while ago that $34.95 was being deducted from our bank account every month for mortgage insurance. We then went to our insurance agency and they said we didn't need it b/c we had enough life insurance that if something happened to one of us, the house would be paid for. We tried to cancel this payment but didn't know who to contact. No one seemed to know who it was. Our bank put a stop payment on the payment b/c we knew if we did it this way, we would hear from them. Sure enough we get a letter in the mail, DH calls them and b/c we had insurance through someone else they are crediting us for the last 4 yrs! 48x 34.95 adds up!

Good Afternoon!:)

Well my run/stairclimber work out is being nixxed today because as it turns out we forgot we promised Joey we'd take him bowling tonight after dinner and trying to get to the gym before that plus eat dinner will be too much. I could've gone during the day but I simply didn't feel like it. Oh well. The gym isn't goin' anywhere. I will get there another day...:)

Lori:: Oh dear, the question is what Bob WOULDN'T I recommend!? That list is much shorter and the answer is...NONE! LMAO! Di and Laura feel that Total Body Transformation is the toughest of his dvds so maybe you should try that one!! I haven't done them all enough to make any such decisions! :p Super Burn Strength from the Inside Out Series kills me though. I will say that. Heck, they ALL kill me but that killing I recall the more clearly then the rest. ;) On the flip side, I think his easiest (but not easy!!!) cardio is Cardio Kettlebell Shred so if you want a cardio, pick a different one I'd say...Was that enough help? :eek: Wow, that's a big refund your DH is getting you guys back! Nice little extra chunk of change you can use while he is away in training! Good timing for it for sure!

Laura:: Thoughts and prayers going out for Buster! Poor puppy! :( I think you need to find yourself a yoga dvd of short yoga practices that you can do just one of or lump together depending on the time you have. That should make it much easier to fit yoga in for you! Not everyone is a lady of leisure like me after all! ;):D:p Or even do a Stretchmax or STS Ext. Stretch! It doesn't HAVE to be yoga if you are mainly looking for the muscle loosening aspect of it!
 
K...so Miss Wendy I ordered the two you suggested, plus his totally ripped core dvd. And I also ordered 3 Jillian workouts. One abs, one buns and thighs and a ripped one! It only came to almost $70. That's nothing. I told DH that I needed to have something to look forward to after he left:p

Lori:: Oooooh Totally Ripped Core! Hello to the never ending planks!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :eek: I have heard that Jillian's Buns and Thighs dvd (I forget the name of it) is really good. If the abs dvd you got is 6 week 6 pack, I have it and it's also a good one! Enjoy! :D
 
Yep...that's the one. I was also tempted to preorder the new Cathe workouts as well but I haven't just yet.

Oh and the return we are getting is more then we thought b/c it was actually for 5 yrs...not 4:eek:. That's almost 2G.

Lori - ITA w/Wendy - MY BOB FAVS are Total Body Transformation and Strength one from Inside out series .. that really kinda has a puke factor to me b/c it hurts so bad!! I would say TBT is like all of the inside out series rolled into one.. it is my favorite of favorites!! Like I said .. Bob sneaks up on you .. you think aw this is nothing .. then WHAM you are lying on the floor in puddle of sweat swearing at his evil laugh!!!

Wendy - thnx for the prayers .. think we need them!! that is good idea on the yoga .. I always dread it but always love the way I feel afterwards .. I still havent done the new LIS Yoga yet :eek: I know. Iknow .. I said cple mnths ago I was gonna .. but I havent yet ...

OK . getting ready to blow this place and tackle AB .. YIKES :confused::confused::confused: think my legs and glutes shaking just thinkin about it!! :confused:
 
Good Morning:)

I appear to be having some kind of kidney issue this morning:( Whatever it is, started about 2 days ago and just keeps getting worse. It hurts when I take a deep breath or try to laugh. If I sit still and breath normal its fine. I thought it might be a stone but now I am not so sure. Now it almost seems like it could be something muscular. I may go see the Dr this afternoon....I hate wasting time like that:eek:

Laura** Everyone keeps saying that Bob sneaks up on you...even in another check in...so I guess I'll have to believe it;) I'm looking forward to getting them. I know I saw some at walmart too so I may check there later today. I have to go anyway. Maybe they have some that weren't on the website.

We have DS1 preschool graduation tonight and that's all I have on the go today. I have to make something for it and I have to get him a little present. I may try a workout later if my back stops hurting. I just took something for it.

Wow, I had some mild lower body DOMS y'day morning but by y'day afternoon it got more intense and traveled to upper body too! :eek:

Plus 20 minutes of core focused yoga from one of my new dvds...

A gal in my other check in is doing a ZWOW and wants company for the torture session with Zuzana so I happily agreed. LOL ;)

I wanted to run but I really don't have time for that since I am painting DS' room today...FINALLY! :rolleyes: Fingers crossed that I can hit the gym tmrw though!

Hi Ladies,

I picked up my race packet yesterday and have my last tri class tonight. We are doing the ride/transition/run portion of the race tonight. After attending the informational meeting I'm much less stressed.

I'm looking forward to getting back to lifting, haven't done much of that other than circuits. My training schedule after the tri depends on whether or not I'm doing another tri or HM. Missing weight training though. All this indecision after planning on starting P90X2/Asylum 2 month rotation. :confused:

Lori-hope you feel better soon and that it's not a stone. Nice refund coming at a good time too! Put it in savings so it's there if you need it.

Wendy-I just wrote down a BR w/o to do soon. I did a BR w/o yesterday in addition to my cathe w/o. That tabata w/o looks grueling...good luck!

Laura-prayers for buster and hugs for you. Yoga, I haven't done either of the yoga's from LIS either.

man we are crazy busy again .. nothing but problems .. quick check in - SIL and I did premix AB - double trbl 0 :eek::eek: ok .. NO REST .. none .. not one second .. we were a puddle of sweat!!!! DOMS: BUTT .. eeeeeouch .. and some into hammies and abs .. but BUT EEEEEOUUUUCH!! Cathe KILLS my butt!!! today is to be a run if weather and BUTT permits .. LOL .. man oh man .. it is prbly gonna be a brief one tho .. lol

Lori - cant wait for you to try Bob - took Wendy forever to bite .. but she loves him now (well love/hate thing like me I suppose)....

Wendy - have been looking at Zuzanas workouts .. they look awesome .. and she looks awesome .. looks like she may be working on setting up her own website - the BR girl has not only gotten boobs .. but now she has blown up her lips too ..geesh!!!

Di - thnx re: Buster - I know that day is coming - I just dont want it to be now - the Dr said his heart sounded stronger tho .. and he is active .. sooo to let him go and do and eat whatever he will ... for now .. he is up and perky and his eyes are bright .. I thought he wasnt gonna be with us this morning ... but he woke me up at 5:30 bright eyed ... sooooo just gonna let him live best he can for as long as he can ..

Good Morning:)

Another exciting day here today. DH has his sign in at the detachment at 10, I guess this means that he will officially be a member once he signs those papers. Tonight we are going out for dinner with friends and that's the only plans for today. Hopefully I will get a workout in later.

The pain in my side isnt as bad as yesterday but it's still there. I am kind of thinking it might be muscular because it eased up yesterday when I was working out. I did CC#8 and STS FB. If it isn't better in a couple of days I will go to the dr. I did dead lifts a few days ago.....maybe I wasn't using correct form?

DS's preschool concert last night was so funny. He is obsessed with the mic so everytime he found his way in front of it, I started sweating because I didn't know what he was going to do!

Wendy** So how far did you get with the painting? I enjoy painting but its also one of those things that once Im into it, I wondered why I even started:p I painted our room and DS's room when I was pregnant and I did a good job if I must say so myself:)

Diana** I love lifting heavy so I can only imagine how you must feel. Yeah...I wouldn't spend my money just yet:eek: Lord only knows how long I could be waiting...or they might never said me a check!

Laura** I guess you are happy its Friday considering you have been having such a crazy week. My dvds have been shipped and should be here on the 14th. Gives me something to look forward to next week. I was going to order some lulu to cheer me up but there isn't much to pick from!

I will bbl. I may do a AB circuit even though I did STS yesterday. Im not really feeling any DOMS!

Good Morning. :)

Well the work out never happened. Went straight to painting instead and it took me ALLL DAAAAY LOOOONG! I was stiff sore and completely exhausted by the time I was done. OY. :eek:

So today I am supposed to be doing y'day's work out but I really want to hit the gym too so I may see about doing both plus some yoga-all short work outs. Maybe pick a different Z. work out--ZWOW has several 10 minute AMRAP's to choose from so in the interest of time I may go that route instead and save the other one for a day next week....

Laura:: I would love it if Z. got her own fitness website going! That may just spur me on to do another rotation of her work outs like I did last year!:) AB DT...oh my! I've done that one! Azz kicker for sure!!!!:eek: Great job!!!!:D

Lori:: How was DS' preschool graduation? Had to be really cute!:) How are you feeling? Get to the doc y'day to have that pain checked out? (ETA:: we were posting at the same time!)

Diana:: How was your tri class last night? So when exactly is the race? I have no advice on how to decide what do next. So tough. So many great choices. Too bad you can't do it all at the same time, huh? LOL

Ok, gonna get my act together early so I can hit the gym as soon as get DS dropped off at school...

Hi Ladies,

Last tri class was last night. We rode the 12 mile bike route and ran. The bike route is a 6 mile loop that you have to twice. Well it has a long hill and the second time around was pretty tough for me. Once you get up that hill its mostly downhill or flat the rest of the way. Then we racked our bikes and did the run. The race is on Sunday, my swim heat starts at 8:20.

Due to timing constraints I'm doing a BR w/o this morning and abs. I always pick a cathe w/o and do the warmup first before BR or ZWOW w/o.

Laura-AB DT sounds tough, I haven't tried that one. Did you manage your run yesterday? You must be used to the heat and humidity, I for one would not be able to run in those conditions. You are superwoman!

Wendy-painting....my painting chore, the room is done but I haven't removed all the tape cuz it started pulling off the yellow paint revealing the blue underneath. I need to get a razor blade and finish that up, and paint the baseboards and window sill. It took me 2 days to paint the room and cover the blue...1 Day is awesome! You have me missing my gym workouts, but frankly I just don't have time right now with everything else going on.

Lori-so when does DH leave and when will he be back? One of my friends wants me to run a HM in Aug with her. I'll need to get training for that one right away. Are planning any races this year? I'm sure Rylan is a hoot, but I totally know what you mean. You just never know what's going to come out of their mouth.

TGIF FINALLY!!! woot woot!!!

OK -had the day from H## ystdy - every customer had a problem and had one w/a particularly BAD attitude .. GGRRRRRRRRRRR I left sooooooooo mad b/c of way she acted . . my hands were shaking I was so mad!! SOOOOOOO UNCALLED for .. geesh!!! I did go get my run in - I was so mad I did 5 miles - in 53 min (wrm up and cool down) .. ran into 2 of my former students .. which was nice - so I felt much better after I exhausted myself - even went home - took babies for a golf cart ride -then had DATE night festivities ;) woot woot! sidenote: DOMS are WORSE in my @$$ today.. GEEESH!!!!!

Lori - that pain dont sound like Kidney stone - I cant sit down or lay down when my kidney pain starts up - it comes in waves - and when it hits it is constant - i usually pace around cant sit still - but once it passes it is gone until next wave comes ... hoping it is muscular and nothing bad!! funny about DS .. I know w/my DN .. I never know what is gonna come out of his mouth .. he tends to have inherited my "smart@$$ness" ... :eek: :confused: :eek: I know you have got to be all tied in knots about your DH leaving .. {{{{{ hugs }}}}} I dont have any advice - except ... keep busy .. and maybe some phone sex - set up an internet "connection" .. LOL .. It is gonna be tuff I could only imagine!!!

Wendy - Painting .. what a PIA .. but sounds like you are done now!! WTG .. I can remember when we built the house and I did most of the painting .. It seemed to go on forever .. I can remember sitting in my living room .. with tears in my eyes thinking I WILL NEVER GET THIS FINISHED!! LOL

Di - so your tri is this weekend?? WOOOOWW .. sending strong IRON woman vibes to you!!! Are the events one after the other back to back w/o breaks or are they broken down??? GOOD LUCK DI!!

Hi Girls,

I am ready for dinner but no one else is. So I thought I'd check in:)

DH was so excited today when he signed those papers. You can see it in his eyes. I did get a bad stomach when they made him sign the papers saying we will move ANYWHERE in Canada. Time will tell. I know we will have to move eventually, it's just when and where.

Wendy** I believe that painting took up your whole day. Its so time consuming. At least you got your workout in today:)

Diana** ohhhh....I think you should do the HM! I don't have any races planned but there are a couple that I may take part in. Time will tell. It's only small races so I won't need to train for it. DH leaves on Mon and returns on Dec 4th!!! I plan on visiting him around the end of Aug and maybe again in Oct.

Laura** Yeah, I'm not convinced that this is a stone either. My SIL was telling me about a lady she works with that may have a kidney infection. The Dr is sending her for all kinds of test before he plans on giving her anything for it. But even her symptoms didn't sound that much like mine.
