Good Morning Ladies:)

How is everyone? I thought I was going to have to come into work at 5:30 again today but I pond it off on my coworker. I don't get to do that very often!:) I was sooo sleepy last night when I went to bed. I didn't move until DS woke me up at 4:30....trying to get me OUT of bed! I finally convinced him to get in bed with us and he did...and he went back to sleep. When I left the house , DH and DS were cuddled up together...how sweet!

I didn't get out for a run last night either:( I wanted to but my sister and BIL came over for a drink so I took a night off, with intentions of going for a long run tonight. My SIL added some new songs to my Ipod so I am excited about listening to some new tunes! I thought about calling my friend who is running next weekends race with me but I think I would rather go it alone!

Im going to check yesterdays thread to see what I missed!

Good morning ladies !

Well I am up "late" for this week at least. Already 6 AM and I never watered so got to get out there now ! :eek: That means no morning workout. Have ME ontap for after work so will probably do a hill walk on the TM for about 20 min at lunch.

Lori - rest days are good ya know? So which race do you have this weekend? Good job getting DS back to sleep - cute they "boys" were snuggled up together when you left. Those are such precious moments ! Hope you get your long run in tonight, with your new songs of course. When I'm out running music keeps me going, but sometimes the songs get me moving faster. What are some of your new tunes? Have a good day at work.

Diana** I guess you feel pretty bad for your son? Do they have their own spot or are they staying with relatives? Its very sweet of you to do all the things you did for him...thats what a good mom does!:D My mom would have done the same but not all of them would have. And when they don't ask for it, it makes it even easier to go ahead and do it. Hopefully he will find work soon. Any talks of them getting married? or are they already married?

Jen** I felt the need to go "blech" when you said you were in meetings all day. I don't know how people who don't workout can go to work, sit all day, eat their dinner and then sit on the couch till its bed time! I have to move!!!! Hope you have a better day today!

Jacque** I am on my week off from STS. I probably will have to do the leg work earlier in the week. I think I will lay off the long runs next week, unless I do one earlier in the week, then smaller ones through the week taking Fri and Sat off. I was reading a article in my mag earlier about a girl who runs 105-110 miles a week!:eek: Can you imagine? Her goal is to win the boston marathon, so needless to say, she isn't your everyday runner. Im assuming she doesn't work...how could she? What are your workout plans for today?

I will probably bbl!

Jacque** I know, I should probably take more rest days then I do. My new tunes are dancy ones of course. I don't know how my SIL stays on top of the new tunes all the time and half of this stuff I have never heard of! I guess its one of the benefits of not having to work! hehe!
I have a race on the 26th, its a 10 miler. Last yr I did it in 79 mins, Im hoping for a little less this yr.

Good luck getting that workout in! ME is one of my favs!

Good morning girlies!!

I did one of Jari's new workouts this morning...Workout 1 of Get Extremely Ripped...and I really liked it! Jari is very pleasant and personable in this one, not quite as "business" as she is in the others. The workout itself is faster paced than her others, and every exercise is compound moves. I was drenched at the end of the 30 minute workout.

I would have liked to get some pure cardio in this morning (i.e. running), but I'm having some very uncomfortable pain in my left heel. What the heck do you think that's about? I woke up with it feeling very stiff and sore. It loosened up a bit while I was working out but never left, and not I'm hobbling around the office today. This isn't making me very happy and it better get lost soon :mad:

Jacque: OMG, you must get to that movie this weekend! Best yet, that's all I'm sayin'. We can chat about it more after you see it ;) Yes, I find the GWF has helped me to lose consistently, as long as I'm eating correctly :rolleyes: Admittedly, I'm having a bad week with the kids gone. I seem to excuse myself from making a real meal at night and it's resulting in an overconsumption of sodium and you know what that means...bloat :confused: But scale-wise, as of this past Saturday, I was down three pounds since I bought it. But even better, I slid into a pair of jeans that I've been hanging onto for several years now that iI consider to be a symbol of a time when I was at my best weight. So even though the scale seems to be a bit stubborn at times, I know I've lost based on that. For me, it was worth the investment.

Lori: Yes, rest days are good!! I hope you enjoy your new tunes :D I just loaded a ton of new music onto my iPod last week, and boy what a difference it makes! Your DS's sleep habits sound like my daughter's when she was that age. I feel for you. There's not a lot worse than sleep deprivation in my book. I felt like I was in a fog for the first three years of her life. Thank God they grow out of it! I hear you on the need to move! While I like my job, I hate being chained to a desk all day. That's 90% of the reason I use my lunch hour for walking, the other 10% for the calorie burn/step count ;)

Hello to Diana, Laura, and Wendy! Gotta get some work done I guess, seeing I've been here for over an hour now and haven't opened a file :eek::rolleyes: Friday can't get here fast enough!

Hi Ladies,

I'm finally feeling back to normal. I was so tired from my trip, then Tuesday was a late night with Jerod's baseball team, last night I did all the laundry and watched a movie....then I slept in a bit this morning and finally got a workout in. I've had 5 days off:mad:

My new kb's have been calling my name so I did kettlebell way/empire state this morning. It was a nice change of pace. I'm going to stick with kb's for at least 2 and maybe even 3 weeks and see how that goes. It felt so good to get a workout in. I have bootcamp class tonight, love this class!

Lori-no worries about your unexpected rest day. It sounds like you get in plenty of mileage anyway, no harm. The STS plyo legs are very good. They are short but effective. Would recommend doing them earlier in the week so your legs are fresh for your race on Sunday. DS is not "with" the mother of his girls. She has a boyfriend, her high school boyfriend in fact. DS lives in a pretty nice 1 bedroom apt and has the girls 3 days then Amanda has them 3 days etc. It seems to be working out good so far. Amanda lives with her mom and 4 siblings.

Jacque-Fortunately, we have a sprinkler system. It is in the low 90's here....how to manage to run in that???? I can't take the heat! Hopefully I can get to the rec ctr for some cardio this afternoon. I'm thinking of doing a CC on the treadmill.

Jen-as Wendy can tell, I'm no Jari fan. Glad you like her and her w/o's. Hope the heel pain goes away quickly. I noticed my heels and calves have been a bit sore lately but I'm attributing it to wearing sandals almost every day.

Hey girlies ..

I only have a second .. OMG .. all H#### has broken loose here .. and I cant post much from work computer .. PIA in training is GONE :eek:.. cant get into it ..

I do want to quickly brag I pushed WAAAAAY over my 10K goal TUE.. was around 12,000 .. ystdy was another story .. no exercise .. was cleaning up a huge mess at work .. and again long sorted story .. but OMG .. what a freaking day I had ... then found out PIA in trng was talking trash about me . and I blew a gasket .. :mad: ... ended up on the phone most of the night .. and consumed SEVERAL CABS :eek:

Today the steps are looking good .. tonight is plyo class .. then VBF meeting w/OLD BF for their B-day .. it will be a quick couple of CABS and snacks .. exchange of gifts .. then home ... I am wondering if one will show .. even though it is FOR HER... she is the one that has been MIA b/c of jealous boyfriend . ..ggrrrrrr .... bet she wont show ..

anyway .. I will try to get online tonight from home and make personals .. :confused:.. been one H### of a week .. PLUS I still have PMS bloat .. and I am ILL ... ggggrrrrrrrrr
 
Hi Girls!!!

We are back! We ended up staying an extra day so we didn't get back until tonight (about an hour ago). We were supposed to get back y'day but we were having such a nice time that we extended it by a day. :)

I exercised every day but tuesday. Cardio only but it's better then nothing. I did the TM, EXT or a combination there of. I meant to exercise on Tuesday but kinda forgot. Ya see, I was exercising every morning first thing but on Tuesday (I forget why not), the morning wasn't happening so I had planned on doing it later in the afternoon...WELL, I bought a drink at noon when the bar by the pool/beach opened and didn't stop drinking (except for a very brief break or two) until 9pm that night! DOH! :eek: LOL Had I remembered that I needed to exercise I probably would have stopped drinking but I guess I was having such a good time that it just slipped my mind..:eek::p Oh well! We all gotta kick back once in a while right? ;)

Okay, well I'll be back in the morning for personals. Just wanted to pop in and say hello...
