*Damage Control in January* Hump Day

Diana: I need to use my old gloves for KB's. They worked much better. Glad you are enjoying CLX. I am holding off on it...well, trying to anyway. I want it but I'm not so sure now is the time...I would love to have such a time-efficient program to follow while I am training for my marathon but I am afraid of adding additional daily cardio to my week in addition to the running I'll be doing once the training gets underway. I'll likely be running 4 days a week.

Laura: I am training for my first full marathon. :eek: So your hammies are sore too ey? Mine have been sore for days. They aren better then they were though so I'm back to training the lower body after work today. ;)

Jacque: Oh my gosh, I haven't done anything off the SB/SJP dvd in AGES!!! Glad you enjoyed it. Did the Sharks win?

Ang: I get blisters no matter what if I don't wear gloves. Plus when I sweat and my hands get slippery that scares me. I want to keep my body parts and the room I work out in in tact. No flying kettlebells wanted here! LOL

Today's work out will likely be Bodystrikes for the first time. I'm looking forward to it. :)

Todays workout is going to be a goody.Its from the rotation I am following. I was wondering today....if we decide to go to Fl...I have 3 monthes to get my abs in tiptop shape:rolleyes: What to do....what to do....???

Wendy** Bodystrikes...Ive never heard of that one. Do you have the Chalean extreme or did you preorder the STS series. I was going to get DH to order Chalean for me for Christmas but after reading the comments, I don't think I will bother.

Good Morning Ladies,

We went to my nieces basketball game last night. They are sisters but are open enrolled at different high schools. One is a junior the other is a sophomore and they both play varsity basketball for their respective schools. It was the school that was having the benefit for my SIL. It was a great game!!

My weight watchers at work session is ending on jan 22nd. I've pretty much decided I'm not going to register for the next session. I have fitday, and fitdaypc and am also thinking of signing up for Cathe's nutrition site again. I don't think WW is meant for folks who lift weights and exercise as much as we do.

Wendy-CLX is 3 days of wt training and 2 cardio days. I add in at least two extra cardio day and sometimes hit cardio at lunch too. I think you could simply replace the cardio with your mary training. You also have plenty of new workouts to keep you busy no matter what you decide. I've been interested in the bodystrike and powerstrike workouts for a while.

Lori-Would you be going to FL for spring break?? My CLX discs are fine and I do like the shorter w/o's which really surprised me. I definitely am tired at the end of the 30 min weight training sessions. It lifting heavy weights at a slow pace that is really tough.

Morning Ladies ..

Last night's class was awesome ... I did miss the pushup torture though ... was expecting not to be able to move .. but have the nice DOMS today .. you know just to where you know you worked every muscle in your body .. but no pain! The planks did bug my shoulder a bit . but went home and iced it :) Eats last night: DH fixed a grilled center cut pork chop w/sauteed okra and peas! MMM MMM MMM ...

Lori .. what part of FL are you thinking you will travel to??? We are planning to head back to the FL Keys in Aug ... lobster gathering and maybe some fishing .. and lots of diving!!! :)

Wendy .. I have gotta look into bodystrike ..who is that by again??

Di .. glad you had a good time last night ... was thinking about you! IA about the WW and exercise .. I had one student that got on WW and she was logging in tremendous miles running AND taking my class .. WW kinda warped her mind where she though she had to burn as many calories as she ate .. it developed into an eating/exercise disorder .. and poor thing still counts calories and burns what she eats .. pittiful!

Jacque .. how did the Sharks do?? Was it Tampa Bay last night??

Ang .. hope you are not snowed in today .. the weather looks worse than it did yesterday :eek:

Jen .. hope you are hanging in .. and maybe able to start up some exercise .. take it easy and dont overdo!!!

Eats today: 2 boiled eggs (whites only .. doggies got the yellow center .. they love it) - 1 cracker w/ p-nut butter - for snack it will be a green apple ... not sure on lunch yet ..

SIL and I are meeting for lunch if it has warmed some we are going to try to fit in a walk/run .. if not then TM or elliptical at the gym .... NO CLASS tonight .. woohooo!!! Have a great one .. and great sweaty w/o!!!! :D

Back to report an OMG moment!!! SIL could not meet me and it is freezing out so we both do errands .. I go to this Subway shop .. and ran smack dab into one of my worst collection people .. (one that comes in 3 or 4 times a month begging off .. to which I always reply NO) .. my mouth dropped when he popped up from behind the counter. OK this guy has never worked .. spends more time out begging churches and people for money .. prbly has never paid HIS money for his power bill .. and here he was about to make MY sandwich :confused: ... OMG ..

OK ... (wishing I would have turned around as soon as I saw the lowlife) .... but I was stuck .. so he can not figure out which is ham and which is turkey .. fumbles to find the wheat bread ... get to the veggies .. hardly any lettuce out .. NO PICKLES were out .. I asked about them .. he said he has not put them out yet :confused: .. so I say whatever .. move to pay .. I pay and want a drink he turns and starts chopping something :confused: .. then turns to me and says he has not filled the drink machine w/ice yet would I mind just grabbing a soda out of the ref/ ....:confused: :mad:.. whatever ... then he goes to wrap my sandwich and put it in the bag .. YOU GUESSED IT .. NO BAGS :mad::confused::mad:.. he turns to me and says "it isnt going to hurt you to take it out like this is it?" :mad::confused::confused: WTH??????

I was just glad to tote the sandwich to my car and get the H### outta there w/o him doing something terrible to my food ... :eek: ... OMG ... IT IS A FULL MOON FOR SURE LADIES .. JEEESH!!!!!!:confused: ... I would have called and complained on anyone else .. but him .. :confused: ... aahhhh not worth it!!! ....no worries .. he will not be in that job for long for sure!!

15's/20's/25's (up and down...up again)..then band work from GS Back

PUB Bics
12's/15's/20's (up and down...up again) then 15's for reverse curls in GS Bics

PUB Shoulders
5's/8's/10's (up and down)
8's/10's/12's ( up again)
15's for over head press in GS Shoulders

Then I did Seg 1-5 of LM. I was having so much fun..didn't want to stop but I need to wake DS.

Poochy** If we go, it will be Orlando. Doing the whole Disney/seaworld/universal/suntanning deal:) We are just having trouble finding a house that doesn't cost 5 G's for 1 week:mad::confused:

Diana** We would be going Easter week. My sister signed up for WW's last week (baby weight) and she lost 9 lbs in one week, now she is sulking b/c they took 3 points away from her:p I think she is really into the flow of it though, when I called today she was already up getting her workout in. We both workout faithfully but she has a major sweet tooth and I think counting points is really helping her.

oh and Fartleks is interval running...sprinting really...going for as long as you can for as hard as you can. I haven't done it since I was training last summer, now I remember why.

Well, I couldn't pick my poison this afternoon (Bodystrikes or Squeeze Lower Body) so I did both!!! Heh heh. It wasn't any worse then doing all of B&G and took about the same amount of time. I could be cryin' tmrw during my run though...:eek:

Gotta grab a snack and jump in the shower but I'll be back a bit later for personals.

L: 2 cans tuna w/lite mayo on whole grain crackers
D: large salad and Lean Cuisine meal, apple

Lori: Great job on PUB back/bi/shldrs! I have developed a sweet tooth over the last few years that I never used to have so feel for your sis. I did not want Chalean for the longest time but now that everyone is raving about it I must get it. I am trying to hold off for a while but I *WILL* own it. I promise you that! ;) I also pre-ordered STS on the first day, girl! :D

Laura: Yikes Laura, what a terrible sandwich experience. I hope it atleast tasted ok! Bodystrikes is by the same gal who does Powerstrike (which I also purchased but haven't previewed yet). Her name is Ilaria Montagnani.

Diana: I pulled up the BB site, put CLX in my cart and filled out all of my information except for my cc# and then walked away. When I came back I closed the window w/o ordering. LOL I know I will cave...it's just a matter of how soon. From what you said it sounds like it would be okay to do while mary training after all but with the 3 new dvds I just got, my AOS' coming any day now *and* STS getting ready to be released, I feel bad ordering another big set like that right now...*sigh*

Think that should catch me up on the personals front.

As for the new work outs...I can't give Squeeze a fair review right now as I did it AFTER Bodystrikes. Next time I will do it first or by itself and give my review at that time. Bodystrikes was great. They call it a cardio work out and in some ways it was but I personally did not find it cardio intensive enough to take the place of a cardio routine in one's schedule. It worked the legs nicely and differently from anything else I've ever done before. I felt the burn about 10 minutes into it but it never got overwhelming. I was able to finish the work out with no problems. I am considering wearing my weighted vest next time to up the intensity. *insert evil laugh here* Vest or not though, I really liked it and can see where it could have a place in someone's leg routine...unless you are strictly into weighted leg work, then it's not for you. Squeeze LB Challenge seemed pretty good. I was certainly grimacing in pain ;) but like I said, I did it immediately following BS so I am going to hold my opinnion of it until a later date. :)

Off to rustle up some food for my boys now but I'll be back....:D
 
Hey Girls.

I ended up going to Centergy (yoga) class tonight. Felt good. Hopefully that will help the legs feel my earlier work out a little less in the morning. ;)
