Good Morning!:)

Lets see how fast I can get this posted and then out the door for my run before work...all by meself I might add. DS is asleep (which is fine with me:p) and running partner doesn't like to workout this early in the morning. How does she know if she as never done it before?:)

Yesterday was a 16 k run, then a very busy day with DS (of course) but he was good I just kept him occupied. After he went to bed I did STS disc 13...and Im not sore...whats up with that? I couldn't have possibly went any heavier???
I also did STS abs, LIC abs and SM with the band ( i really needed those workouts!)
Anywho.......

Wendy** whats on the agenda today? Did you ever hear back from that job interview after?? I hate waiting to get a call. Its happened and the call never came:confused: Ugh!:mad::) Their loss, right?;) How was your workout with your friend?

Laura** Im soooo sorry to hear about your mom!:confused::( And your friend...ick!:( Your right, it does pour when it starts, its just one thing after another. It was my MILs 5th anniversary yesterday , free from cancer. Problem is, every ache and pain she as she thinks she is dying:confused: Kinda drives me, but I guess you cant really blame her. She as had 2 bros die so far, with just one left. I bet your workout really helped realive some of that stress!

Diana** I make bad purchasing descisions in the wee hours of the morning as well...so you aren't alone. I shouldn't say "bad" I just don't care in the morning ,where as later in the day it takes me forever to press the "buy" button, kinda like the day Wendy was ordering workouts!;) Glad you enjoyed your BC workout!

Jen** What are your plans for the day?

Jacque** Nope...not sore. I couldn't have went any heavier. I was struggled with ever weight that I picked. Actually during some of the moves I thought I should have went lighter...prehaps it will kick in later!

Well...that took me a lot longer then I thought, b/c apparently I can't type today! I hate days like that!

Just popping on quickly before my workout to say Diana, I responded to you on yesterday's thread but addressed you as Laura! Oops! Don't know where my head was at...duh! Sorry about that.

Lori: My plan today is a run as well, but it won't be nearly as long as yours :p I'm amazed at how much you run! You go, girl! And after all those other workouts last night? Geesh, what time do you go to bed?

Good Morning Peeps! :)

Well, I eeked out 10k steps yesterday with a little marching in place before bed. :p

Got 4DS Bi/Tri done at the last minute prior to heading up to my mom's with DS y'day afternoon. I went to the gym with BF and we muddled through a full body weight work out using the machines. We had to read every single machine to figure out how to use it. It's obvious that I do not use my gym membership for weight work! :p It took so long to get the weights done that we ran out of time for cardio. :( It wasn't a bad work out. Probably the best experience I've had with machines to this day BUT I still MUCH prefer free weights at home. :) So she wants me to come with her once a week for a while when I go up to visit my mom. It's fine but doing f/b weights while I am trying to do a 1 or 2 body part a day rotation is going to be a pain in the arse. I think I may tell her I will do cardio while she is doing weights until I am ready to do a rotation of all f/b work outs again.

Today's work out will a run. I am hoping for a 5 miler. It's been a while since I've run that far though :eek: so we'll see how far I get!

Jacque: So you got Bootcamp and Cardio Max and you liked them? YAY! Me happy! They are not labeled as advanced work outs but as you can see they still work ya good! You get out of it what you put into it! :)

Laura: More hugs to you! I can't believe your BF was diagnosed with cancer! :( Please keep us posted on her condition.

Diana: Thanks to the pedometer I am making an effort to move more. I am trying to take walks when I can. Without the extra effort most days, I too would not get more then maybe half way to goal unless I got in a good run or something.

Lori: So how was your run this morning? If your friend is not a morning person then I'm sure she doesn't need to try it to know she isn't gonna like it! :p Not sore huh? That happens to me. I SWEAR I'll be sore from something and won't be, yet I'll get sore from something I didn't think would do it. You just never know! Haven't heard from the job but just emailed them. I just need to know one way or another. I am still checking out the paper every week. A better paying P/T job would actually make me happier then a F/T job but I'll take the F/T position if it is offered to me.

Time to get more coffee!

Hey Girls:)

Im at work now...not sure where the boss is...he went out the back door and hasn't came back yet:D Oh well! Im not complaining;)

Jen** I didn't go to bed until after 11 but not b/c I was working out. I started playing a game on FB!:eek: Then I was chatting to DH for a while...you know how it goes. Good intentions of getting to bed early! I did get to bed early the night before though.

Wendy** My run was pretty good. Both of my knees were kinding of aching...not hurting...just aching. When I use to run on my own everyday, I just did whatever I was in the mood for or had the time for. Somedays it could be 10 miles, somedays just 4. Now that I am running with her again, I feel as if everyday is a long run. I clocked sooooo many km's last week:confused: and then on my rest day she tried to convince me to go:rolleyes: I didn't bite though. It was o.k for her, she had 2 rest days.
DH bought the bowflex a few yrs back and I never liked it. I think I tried using it twice. Freeweights are so much better (for me) Maybe thats why I have no desire to go to a gym!?

Im soooo happy to say, the pesky bloating and weight gain is gone. I kept thinking..."gee, Im eating alot (at night) and not gaining anything" Just toooooo many family things to go to. Sure enough, it was like over night:confused: I kept thinking I was bloated...but now Im not so sure. Anyway, kinda put the breaks on my eating the past few days and now I am back to normal....I hate feeling like Im overflowing out of everything;) (except my BRA!):eek:
On that note, the girl who is staying with us is now in LOVE and is packing on the lbs! Thing with her is that she doesn't actually eat that much and he works out so they don't munch in the night time either. I told her yesterday that she does't eat enough and that she eats the wrong things. She is also in her 40's so that may have something to do with it. For her breakfast she as 2 slices of white toast, with butter. Lunch is a banana and yogurt and supper is usually whatever I make. Now, to me that doesn't seem like much food...and no protein mind you...no wonder she is gaining weight! Lay off the carbs already...and what ever happened to wholegrains???

Anyway...enough complaining. We can't help those you don't help themselves, right?

Just got back from dropping DS off at school and stopping at Dunkin' for my (almost daily) fix. I ordered a medium decaf iced coffee with 1 splenda and cream (wow-is that a mouthful or what!? :p). Well I pulled away and once I was back on the road I took a sip and got a friggin' mouthful of SUGAR! ICK! :eek: I don't know whose iced coffee I got but it's not the one that I ordered! :mad:
I looked and saw a ton of sugar settled at the bottom of the cup. I tried to stir it up with straw but there was so much that it wouldn't all mix. When I got home I emptied the coffee into another cup and had to wash out the cup they gave me because the bottom was laiden with sugar. I love DD but lately they can't do anything right. They have screwed up the last several orders in some way shape or form. Over the weekend I picked up bagels for DH and DS on the way home from the gym. I ordered one plain and one garlic. I got 2 garlic. Y'day they tried to charge me $5.xx for a coffee! Obviously they had my order confused with another person's. UGH.

Okay, thanks for listening and my rant is now over! :p
 
Lori:: Glad the bloat is gone. Hate that feeling! I smiled when I got on the scale this morning too. Life is good when the scale is nice to you! :) Yeah, your friend isn't doing herself any favors with her eating habits but people are lazy and stubborn and just don't want to be bothered learning how to eat better. Not your problem but it was nice of you to try and help her out a bit. :)

Well, I think I'm going to head out for a short walk this morning. I have some time to kill before I have to take the dog to be groomed and then head over to the gym for my run. I won't need the extra steps since I am running today but it's just too nice not to get out there! I SHOULD probably do a little house cleaning but maybe later! :p

Wendy** I hear ya on the coffee joints!:mad: I use to always get takeout coffee, since having DS I brew my own most times. Anyway, everytime I went, they fooled it up. It got to the point where I would have a sip before I pulled out of the drive through. Its funny, I love sweets but I don't like my coffee to sweet. Prehaps I should try and kick the sugar habit...nah...terrible idea! It just makes me eat more of it!:p Hope you enjoy your run. 5 miles is nothing compared to that 18 miler you did:eek:

I'll join you two in the coffee shop rant! Would it be so hard to learn a little English? Simple words like "milk", "sugar", "cream", "ice", and "no"? It's no wonder the order is rarely correct.

I will also join you in the happy scale talk as well! I'm down about 1.5-2 pounds since I got the GWF. I'm pretty happy with that, especially considering that all bets are off on weekends. That being said, I feel like I have a tapeworm today :mad:

Wendy: That's very nice of you to help your friend out like that. Do you think she'll stick with it? I also don't like the machines at the gym. Much prefer free weights at home. I've tried gym memberships several times in the past and NEVER got my money's worth out of them. I was always too intimidated to go work out with the men (who are always monopolizing the free weight section.)

Lori: Your friend sounds like my DSO. He eats nothing all day most days, then chows a bunch of crap at night, OR he'll eat a breakfast of three donuts! And then complain because he can't lose any weight. I'm amazed he eats the way he does and only needs to lose about 10-15 lbs and not 50!! And try as I might, I just can't seem to change his habits. So I know how you feel...

I got a three mile run in on the treadmill this morning, and the weather is very nice today so I'll be taking a walk at lunch for another 2.5-3 miles :D Should breeze past 12k without a problem today ;)

Gotta get some work done, but will bbl~

Morning Ladies ..

Well I am SORE!!! :) Think it was the heavy weights .. but could have been the combo of that and 4 step .. the quads are screaming .. and my shoulders are sore too!! feels good though .. not the PAINfull kind .. just the good I know I got a good workout ones!!

Of all things my mother's OTHER sister FELL last night .. she is over 200# - diabetic - and elderly .. my aunt (the one I am closest to) had to go over and try to pick her up .. rush her to emergency room ystdy afternoon .. I was in class .. MAN .. she is oK .. just hurt her leg ... being a diabetic she has to watch infections closely especially on her legs ..

PLUS .. SIL Dad (the one that was septic) .. well he has to have surgery today .. :( .. removing his gall bladder .. so she is in the opposite direction of us one hour above us in Auburn .. Mom is one 1/2 hours below us in Dothan :(:confused: GEESH .. when it rains it pours!

So my plan is to work 1/2 a day .. go to see Mom .. check on her .. come back to town .. try to get my hair cut .. then to meet friends for a birthday drink for one of our close friends ... aahhhhhhh .. I will need a margarita by tonight .. :confused: ;)

Lori .. wow what a run ... congrats on the weight/bloat loss .. I do not dare get on a scale .. clothes are fitting ok agian .. so I am guessing I am "ok" .. just not where I want to be! YA .. your friend is NOT eating enough .. how is she functioning w/that small amount of food AND working out??? She needs to eat to rev up the metabolism .. her body is prbly in starvation mode ...

WENDY .. sorry .. had to laugh at the DD trip .. gosh I hate when that happens w/food/beverage orders .. sounds like that DD needs new help!!! I wish I liked coffee I sure could use some today!!!

Jen .. WTG on the happy scale .. woohooo ... maybe one day I can join ya'll in the happy scale dance .. LOL!!

Di ... bootcamp sounded like a good class .. what are the temps there??? MAN you would pass out down here .. today is 99 degrees w/a heat index of 108 .. this weekend is to get to 100 or better .. with heat index of 110 or better . . plus the air is THICK and heavy .. hard to breath .. NASTY hot stuff!!!

Jacque . I dont think you want our weather today .. LOL .. we have heat advisories out .. really hot, sweltering, and nasty out there today ... think you better stick w/your 80 degrees :)

OK .. no workout today I will be in the road .. just as well b/c the bod is a bit sore .. tmrw planning UP heavy weights and plyo class ... OK . better run .. have a great one .. and workout for me some please!! ;)
 
Lunch time here...and I am famished!:) Eggs and 1/2 bagel on the menu. I should have stopped by McD's when I was out and picked up another one of those Thai Chicken salads...they are yummo!

Jen** I wish I could take a little walk when I am working. No can do. 12 hrs of being here...:confused: I forgot to add that I met a girl at the bar the other night who works at our coffee place. She was drunk and had to work in the morning...and Im thinking " no wonder you guys keep getting coffees screwed up!":mad: Hope you have a good day. Its beautiful here today as well. I am going to take DS for a walk in his wagon when I get off of work.

Laura** Oh...my friend doesn't work out, she just talks about working out. You would think that she would go to the gym with her new BF though. I told her that she needs to eat more and move more. If she ate a balanced diet and walked/jogged for 30 mins a day, I think she would see some nice improvements. She is short so it alllll sits around her middle.
I hope your mom feels better soon~:(

Happy Afternoon Girls,

I did BM-original, cardio and circuits this morning. The rotation called for Step Blast but I tend to overdo that w/o. Of all things, I tripped on my step and fell backwards...go ahead and laugh, I did. It doesn't happen very often but this is not the first time.

I also took DS to the Dr. because he is still coughing and having sinus headaches. They did give him some antibiotics so hopefully he starts feeling better real soon.

Lori-Wow, nice run. I do like going to the gym for leg training. That's really the only thing I can't go very heavy on at home. I'm sure DS will love going for a walk this afternoon in the wagon. I sure miss those days. My biceps never really got sore doing STS. Not sure why, they are my weakest body part and I was lifting pretty heavy at the end. They do have a nice fullness that they didn't have before.

Wendy-I hate not getting what I ordered. It would be great if you could find a part-time PT job. That would be right up your alley!! I love seeing your "walk in place" comments to get to your step goal. Makes me smile every time..:D

Jen-How do you get in all those steps with an office job??? I'm tellin' you I only made about 3K-5K without a w/o. I do have a nice area where I work and can walk if I can get away from my desk. Also, the rec ctr is only a block away and is very handy for cardio or weight training.

Laura-You have so much stuff going on right now. Send well wishes and healing vibes for your mom. Don't forget to take care of yourself in the process of taking care of everyone else.

Jacque-what are you up to today?
