Up bright n early on a saturday-6am! I a must be outta my mind but I know I can nap later so no biggie. :)

We have a Birthday dinner to go to this afternoon for my BIL. My SIL will be making chocolate martinis for us to drink before dinner so I'm gonna work out EXTRA hard with Shaun today to offset those cals! ;) It's my turn to get tortured by those d@mned switch kicks today, girls. Pure Cardio and Cardio Abs here I come! :eek:

Scale is down .2 after being up 1# y'day. I am lovin' the new numbers. I am back where I was at the beginning of last summer....FINALLY! :) I love the scale, I love what I see in the mirror and I love the way my clothes are fitting now. The thing that ticks me off though is that my BF% isn't going down-it's up from where it used to be even though I've lost weight. GRRRR. This would make me think I've lost muscle but I don't feel SOFT or look like I've lost muscle definition so I have no clue what the problem is! I am thinking SERIOUSLY that a round of the X is needed after Insanity. I keep saying it and not doing it, I know, but I really need to JUST DO IT!

Let me get this posted so we have no doubles and then I'll be back for personals!:)

Jacque:: I was overdue for new crosstrainers. I purchased them shortly before purchasing Insanity and I am sooooo glad! My feet would have KILLED me had I tried to do this rotation with my old worn out sneaks on! :eek: So where'd you go for dinner last night? Glad you are lovin' Insanity and not wanting to give it up. I think you will be very happy with your results. The majority of folks seem to be ecstatic and I can't say that I'm complaining either! ;)

Diana:: Great job on the 4# loss! I like the 1 BP a day idea b/c it allows for a single hourish long work out per day if I want instead of having to split it up all the time. I was considering trying to keep myself in early morning mode though and splitting up anyway. If I do that, i will likely switch to 2 BP's a day though. It'll make the early morning effort more worth it for me. We'll see what I decide to do. No big deal either way to be honest. If I get REALLY brave I could attempt to do Insanity in the early AM but I'm not too sure about that one! :eek: Sometimes I will do the bare minimum kitchen clean up after dinner and leave the rest for the next day. Just can't be bothered at times and no one is going to see it but us so who cares! :p
 
Good Morning Girls!

I thought that we were going to get to sleep in but DS was up early! In bed late...and up early...whats up wit dat? He didn't go to sleep until almost 10, strolled out into our room around 6'ish but went back to sleep for another little bit and then i woke up with him kicking me in the back:confused: Nice way to wake up, isn't it?

So tell me...why would I be stoned for eating KFC? Is it b/c its bad for us or b/c I am helping kill chickens? LOL I should post it for fun. I haven't been involved in a good fight in a long time!;) Not on the forums anyway! hehe!

Wendy** Hope you have a good afternoon. I have a thing to go tonight as well. We aren't 100% what we are doing yet but it was my friends b-day yesterday so we are either going out or staying in and having a couple of drinks. To tell you the truth, i am kinda in the mood to get dressed up and go out but I may be the only one who wants to do that! LOL I was so use to running with the stroller that when I ran my 1st race last yr I didn't know how I was going to do it without him. It is hard work...no doubt...and I think that is one of the reasons I got faster. When I looked at my watch yesterday I was at the 4.7 kms mark the sametime I always am, which means I didn't slow down. I had to take a couple of walking breaks b/c the wind was wearing me out. This is probably the last yr running with him, he will probably be to heavy next yr.

Jacque** So what did your night consist of and did you have KFC to? ;) Were you in bed early? I have been in bed every night this week by 11 which is pretty good for me. I still don't want to get up at 7 but thats a full 8 hs of sleep. What more can I ask for?

Diana** Sounds like you have another busy weekend planned! Woo Hoo on the scale!! My scale as been kind to me to but it usually bounces between my low number to my higher number through out the week anyway. Sometimes it will stay at the higher point more then I would like but thats all I can do about that. The last 2 nights I have went to bed hungry so that always leads to a good weigh in in the a.m

Laura** Hope you are behaving yourself this weekend!! Did you have a good night with DH!?

Jen** what are your plans for this weekend? Are you hanging out with your new boyfriend? The one in the tv???:D

Regina** I am (whenever I receive Insanity and done my training for my race) going to do Insanity with the GS and probably another series. Im not sure which one yet though. I may take a look at some other rotations and see where I can fit it all in.

There isn't alot happening here today. I had a long run planned with my running partner but my knee was kind of acting up yesterday and when it acts up I favor it and end up with a shin split. It all eases up after I los'in up though but then by the time I hit the 14 km mark, it starts again...so I don't want to push it with a 25 km run today or anything. I would take today off and run tomorrow but we have plans tonight so I may not be in a hurry to workout tomorrow. Although, I never drink very much so we will see what happens.

Hi ya girls.

Gettin' ready to do GS Biceps n Insanity Pure Cardio n Cardio Abs but wanted to pop in n say hi first.

Went to motor vehicle, dunkin and the bank this morning. What a circuis! MV was actually a breeze. It was dunkin and the bank that were a pain in the azz. Go figure! :rolleyes:

Lori:: Sorry about DS' sleeping pattern last night. I swear my son will do the same thing. Seems the later he gets to bed, the earlier he gets up the next morning! :eek: We put him to bed by 8:30 most nights but on nights like tonight, actually, we probably won't get home until after that so he isn't likely to be in bed until at least 9 or 10 and then he'll probably be up before 6 tmrw morning! :confused: Kids! :rolleyes: LOL, I suppose a kick in the back is not a pleasant way to wake up in the morning, ey? :p

K, guess that's all for now until the rest of the peeps get their azzes in here to say hello. :)

Mornin' Girls,

DH and I were rudely awoken by the chitter chatter of neighbors at 7am. The guy across the street coaches a cyclo-cross team and they must be going for a long ride today. All his kids (team) and parents were there chatting up a storm. I finally ended up closing our window..but we were already awake.

It's sprinkling and overcast outside...hope it subsides for Jerod's football game later.

Since I'm up and have downed 2 cups of java...it's time for me to take on Shaun! I think it's PCC, not sure though. I never really know 'til I get downstairs and look at the calendar. Pure Cardio is the hardest w/o for me so far. I'm actually enjoying the others:p They are short and to the point. I will be hitting upper body either today or tomorrow.

Wendy-I'm with you on needing another round of the X. I'm seriously considering doing STS again once the Insanity rotation is done. Hopefully the Shock Cardio will be ready by then. If not, the X is sounding good...and so is looking at Tony.:rolleyes: Have fun tonight! I have serious cleanmax on tap for this weekend. Not fun at all but we've been doing a lot of purging and the weekly cleaning chores haven't been done.

Lori-I have fond memories of the kids coming into our room. They would usually wonder into our room sometime in the night and just crash on the floor. We were always worried about stepping or tripping over him. I haven't dressed up for anything in quite awhile. It would be fun to get dressed up for an occasion. Our anniversay is this Thursday, wouldn't yah know, DS has football practice that night and I have bootcamp. We thought about doing something Sat night, but Jerod has a night game then. I'm sure we will figure something out.

Hello Again.

I'm chowing down on lunch: turkey n avacado sandwich on ww bread with some lite honey dijon dressing on it and veggie chips. YUMMY! I am also drinking a small glass of chocolate milk since it's always recommended as a good recovery drink. Bottoms up, girls! :)

So I did my entire work out back to back to back. GS Biceps, Pure Cardio and Cardio Abs. I admit to skipping the cardio portion of Cardio Abs n just doing the floor work. I was wiped out n just couldn't fathom it even though the last time I got through it fine. Perhaps it was having done the weight work too that made a difference? Who knows. What I DO know is that I don't feel guilty for skipping it! :p

Diana:: I keep saying I need to do the X and I keep pushing it aside. I need accountability here. Please yell at me if I try to change my mind about it once Insanity is done, ok? The only way I can allow myself to weasel out of it is if my BF% goes down during the 2nd half of Insanity. If I end up being happy with it prior to starting the X then fine. Otherwise please yell at me and MAKE me do it! :) Bummer that everything is getting in the way of an anniversary celebration for you and DH. You'll find a way though, I am sure. It's tough with kids but everyone deserves their time alone and you will find some. :)

Well my lunch is just about gone and time is tickin' away. I have tons to do yet before we leave so I gotta run!

Morning girls !

Well it isn't a good one for me yet . . . headache came on last night pretty much after dinner and I was awake much of the night up & down with ice packs. Just rolled outta bed a bit ago and it still hurts. No way I can do Insanity if it doesn't subside quite a bit. This is so aggravating ! :mad: :mad: :mad: I still want to do an UB workout too. May have to be tomorrow.

Tonight we have tix to the Doobies at a beautiful winery up in the hills above San Jose. It is such a gorgeous, small & quiet venue I absolutely love it. Another reason I gotta get this headache taken care of ! :confused:

Diana - Woo Hoo on the 4# - dontcha love it when you don't have to do much to accomplish it - well I guess Insanity is a lot but I know you love the challenge ! ;) I've been downing the java lots and think I may need to work on the water issue here. That may help me since I'm not seeing anything great on the scale . . . yet . . . I am hoping for some improvement with these Insane workouts ! Hope the weather cooperates for you today. And what about celebrating on Fri nite? :p

Wendy - you sure have that scale trained well ! :p I have one of the Ormon's and my BF is all over the place with it. Actually up about 1% lately too but yet I can see more definition so know I have lost some of the fluff. I also have calipers but the areas that you take the pinches are areas that I don't have much fluff so kinds useless there too. I am going to just go my my measurements and scale and skip the BF since none of these home monitors seem to be very accurate. Hope your workout went well - enjoy the evening at the IL's. I can honestly say I've never even had a martini but they seem to be the "rage" at the bars these days.

Lori - Ugh about the sleep deprivation last night - think I know just how you feel. We ended up going to Chili's and I had a wonderful Lime marinated shrimp salad with a tomato viniagrette dressing with an avocado topper. It was scrumptious. Got the Wally world shopping done and DS1 called to talk for nearly 2 1/2 hours. That put me at 11 PM for my bed time but with the headache didn't sleep much anyway. It is going to be hard to stay awake tonight unless I get a nap in here today. Hmmmm . . . usually don't nap but it may just be a good idea. Hope you end up going out and having a blast tonight ! So you're thinking of starting a riot on the OD, huh? :eek: That's too funny. I love how sensitive and serious some people get over there sometimes. I would guess the chicken thing would be the issue if you have seen any of the Eggland's threads. Yes we all have our opinions but come on - let everyone else have theirs too.

OK - off to try to relieve a bit of pressure here. BBL - hopefully to report an Insane workout !

Which reminds me - Wendy I'm getting used to looking for the thread with the longest title and "DAMAGE" in it. Do you suppose you could go for a two liner tomorrow just in case I'm not wide awake ! ;) :p
 
Well Wendy you popped in on me when I was posting. Lunch does sound good and I haven't even attempted breakfast yet ! Just what is it about the chocolate added to the milk that makes it a good recovery drink? I understand the milk with the carbs and protein, but the chocolate? :confused:
