Hi all,
Today I had a slow start. I got to sleep in! Mick woke up at 7.30 (he'd had a bottle during the night) and his dad took him downstairs just before 8 so I could sleep a bit longer. I really needed that!
Today I did Yvette's Cardio burn body weight with biceps. I must admit my boys interrupted me a few times so the workout took 10min longer, but every time I hit pause it was very welcome! Yvette's workouts are tough... so fast. Mainly HiiT. I also wouldn't be able to do them daily.
Siobhan - I used to achieve fireworks (10,000 steps) on my FitBit mainly through my workouts. But now with a baby, I walk a lot with him as it puts him to sleep and then my indoor workouts are often shorter due to time constraints. Also my indoor workouts often focus on strength and pure cardio like Step or kickboxing is a special treat.
So my motivation for walking:
- it gets me from A to B
- it puts the baby to sleep
- the fresh air is nice after spending so many hours indoor at the office
I also find excuses to walk a bit more, like Sunday end of the afternoon I still had to get a few things from the store and then I decided the store in the village approx 2 KM away has softer bread rolls then the store near us (different chain of stores), so why not walk there with Mick, he was in need of a nap anyways. On the way back it started raining and I realized I had forgotten the beans for the chili I had been excited about having for dinner, so we still had to circle around past the store nearer to us anyways.
I hope everyone has a good start to their week.
