Daily Check In Wednesday 2/28

Good morning.

Wendy, enjoy the step class. I guess your gym membership is a keeper?

LM for me today - another fun workout. I guess 2 fun ones in a row is preparation for MIC - coming to a living room near you! (spoken in your best movie commercial voice)

Have a good day.

Phyllis,

Enjoy LM! Well I *HAVE* to take one class per week in order to maintain my "free employee membership" there. I don't have to pay for it but I don't get it for nothing simply for working there either. Go figure!x( I do like the classes. Don't get me wrong but I just would not take so many of them if it weren't for my "free" membership. They can really make following a rotation difficult!x( I do enjoy the membership as whole but think that if I had the room for a TM and elliptical in my home that I *MAY* not bother with one.

Oh, I forgot obout the free membership thing. I joined a gym once on a trial basis for one month. It was so much hassle for me. I had to get ready to go instead of just rolling out of bed and doing my thing as is. Then, I had to alow time for the drive to and from.
It just didn't fit into my schedule. Maybe after I win the lottery and don't have to work anymore! ;)

LOL. To be honest Phyllis...if I were working f/t the gym thing would probably NEVER have happened for me either! I didn't acquire the membership until after my son was born and I was home with him. I used to hate the idea of "getting ready" to work out but I've gotten used to it now...I can certainly understand not wanting to do that though. That was always a big gripe of mine as well. :)

I think my drive to do the gym thing stemmed from needing something to do to get me out of the house on a more regular basis. I was feeling cooped up and bored. I also loved the idea of Joey getting some social time with other kids at no extra cost!:+

Have a good day! :)

Good Morning Fit Chicks!

Today is MIC for me, but I have never minded this workout....it was one of my very first Cathe purchases! I lost my job yesterday, so I'm going in to work today to clear out my desk.

Tig: Enjoy your step class and your much needed stretch.

Phyllis: Have fun with LM today and we will see you in MIC class tomorrow!

Heather: Yes, I did join you in MM yesterday. The music in that workout is great and the whole DVD flows so nicely. I greaduated to the silver and purple bands....OUCH!

ACK! How ridiculous is that!?!?! x( x( x(

You didn't like that job anyway girl! Consider this a blessing in disguise and go out and find a job that you will LOVE!:+

I'm sending tons of positive thoughts and wishes for you to quickly find a MUCH BETTER job, with better pay! ha:p ;)

I haven't even thought about my workout yet......will bbl with that.

Oh Tammy!{{{HUGS}}}} I'm so sorry! That boss of yours sounds like a real rear-end! It sounds like you are ready to find something you really love to do though. I wish you luck on your job search.

I'm off today but have my six month check-up with my rheumatologist this afternoon. I really need to get Tax-Cut downloaded and started on those taxes! I am such a procrastinator!

KPC for me today. I start week #4 of the Feb rotation.

Hello also to Wendy, Phyllis, Becky, Conni, Annette, Heather, Kim.... I know I'm going to forget somebody....

Daily Check-in

Good morning! I am a sweaty ball of endorphins! After my quiet time this morning, I did the whole IMAX3 workout for the first time! I love the creative choreography in this one. Fun, fun, fun! :7 The blasts are fun too. When I started playing with this workout in September during my first Hardcore Series rotation, I was only able to do the shorter premixes. I also had to do most of the blasts on my rebounder. I did more of the blasts on the floor this time. I can jump the length of the step now! :7 I will likely do most of the blasts on my rebounder until I get closer to my goal weight to protect my joints, but I like to push myself every now and then just to test my progress and see what I can accomplish. Glory! I feel good. :7 I need a shower and some fuel, but I am higher than a kite.

Tammy (my shoe lovin’ check-in friend) would have gotten a kick out of watching me this morning. I used the recovery time to change shoes. The Nike Air Max shoes I thought would work for this one were not cushy enough. My feet were hurting during the warm-up, so I changed and changed again and again until I found the best fit for this workout. I used 5 different pairs of shoes for 10 intervals! My new Reebok cross training shoes appear to be the winner. I wore them when I was jumping the length of the step, and I am very impressed with the overall cushioning and support. This is exceedingly good news because they cost half of what Nike Shox do. The bad news is that Academy only had one pair in my size. I hope they are not being discontinued. It is so frustrating to find shoes I love then they are no longer available. Most people keep fitness journals to record the weights used for various workouts. Not me. I keep a shoe journal! :7 These Reebok crossing training shoes are my IMAX3 shoes. They match Cathe’s outfit too. ;-)

By the way, IMAX2 has some serious competition for my favorite interval workout. I seem to love the less popular workouts like Rhythmic Step over Step Blast, High Step Challenge over High Step Training, and Kick Max over Kick, Punch, & Crunch. I adore IMAX2 and IMAX3 equally, but the choreography in this one is more fun.

Tomorrow is my official weigh-in day for my calendar results. As of Saturday morning, I weighed exactly what I did on the first day of this month. :-( I am not looking forward to updating my calendar this month. Hopefully, the morning Hardcore Series workouts I have been doing this week will be good for at least a pound. I would like to see some measurable progress every month.

Tammy, enjoy Maximum Intensity Cardio. I love that workout! I am so sorry about your job, but I will pray that you find something you really love. I thought of you and smiled every time I changed shoes this morning!

Jane, I need to get my tax return filled out and mailed too. I am with you on the procrastination. How is your son doing?

Blessings,
Heather B.

RE: Daily Check-in

Hi everyone,

Tammy - This is going to be one of the best things that could have happened to you. Obviously you were underappreciated to begin with, or they would not have done this, so their loss is going to be someone elses gain. I know you are going to land a job that you really like!

Taxes, yuk! I have to pick mine up and send them in, but we have to pay a little this year, so I will not be sending them in until I absolutely have to, just out of spite!}(

Today was supposed to be MIC, but it is not high on my fav list, so I did a good mishmosh -

Amys Hi/lo Extreme - Warm up and combos 1 thru 3, including intervals. Then I switched to Amy's ASC and went to the chapters, doing combos 1 thru 3, then cool down and stretch. That clocked in at 75 minutes, I added ab hits and a good sweat!

Hope Cathe posts her rotation sooner rather than later, I am anxious to see what is in store for March!

RE: Daily Check-in

We already got our $ back from taxes!
DH was on the ball !:)

Today I did GS triceps and Amy Bentos abs from APX & Abs#2 from Abs & Stretch, plus Stretch #1 .
No cardio yet, but maybe walk later.

RE: Daily Check-in

YES... the taxes are done!! I just e-filed them... as usual, paying on fed and getting a refund on state but at least we are getting enough back on state this year to cover fed with just a little left over. Last year we did not get enough from state to cover fed, so this is nice!

RE: Daily Check-in

KPC is done! I took the advice some of you gave me on the pikes and let my feet roll on the ball instead of digging them in... I had been digging in... I was able to do them but they were shaky and not very pretty but I'm happy with it!!!:) :)

RE: Daily Check-in

Thank you Becky, Phyllis, Jane, Heather and Conni :7 I'm feeling all the (((HUGS))) and good vibes :7:* :*

Becky: Good job on the one body part/day!

Jane: I'm guilty of the tax procrastination too, but I'll have lots of time now to do them!

Heather: You're post had me ROTFLMAO :7 I have done that EXACT same thing, except it only involved two pairs of shoes. I still hold a hugh dread factor for IM#3, but love Rhytmic Step and SB equally.

Conni: I'm anxious to see the March rotation too. I am committed to doing an entire year of Cathe rotations, but I still feel like a little kid at xmas!

Thanks again ladies....y'all rock:7 :7 :7 :7 :7 :7
