Daily Check-in
Good morning! I am a sweaty ball of endorphins! After my quiet time this morning, I did the whole IMAX3 workout for the first time! I love the creative choreography in this one. Fun, fun, fun! :7 The blasts are fun too. When I started playing with this workout in September during my first Hardcore Series rotation, I was only able to do the shorter premixes. I also had to do most of the blasts on my rebounder. I did more of the blasts on the floor this time. I can jump the length of the step now! :7 I will likely do most of the blasts on my rebounder until I get closer to my goal weight to protect my joints, but I like to push myself every now and then just to test my progress and see what I can accomplish. Glory! I feel good. :7 I need a shower and some fuel, but I am higher than a kite.
Tammy (my shoe lovin’ check-in friend) would have gotten a kick out of watching me this morning. I used the recovery time to change shoes. The Nike Air Max shoes I thought would work for this one were not cushy enough. My feet were hurting during the warm-up, so I changed and changed again and again until I found the best fit for this workout. I used 5 different pairs of shoes for 10 intervals!

My new Reebok cross training shoes appear to be the winner. I wore them when I was jumping the length of the step, and I am very impressed with the overall cushioning and support. This is exceedingly good news because they cost half of what Nike Shox do. The bad news is that Academy only had one pair in my size. I hope they are not being discontinued. It is so frustrating to find shoes I love then they are no longer available. Most people keep fitness journals to record the weights used for various workouts. Not me. I keep a shoe journal! :7 These Reebok crossing training shoes are my IMAX3 shoes. They match Cathe’s outfit too. ;-)
By the way, IMAX2 has some serious competition for my favorite interval workout. I seem to love the less popular workouts like Rhythmic Step over Step Blast, High Step Challenge over High Step Training, and Kick Max over Kick, Punch, & Crunch. I adore IMAX2 and IMAX3 equally, but the choreography in this one is more fun.
Tomorrow is my official weigh-in day for my calendar results. As of Saturday morning, I weighed exactly what I did on the first day of this month. :-( I am not looking forward to updating my calendar this month. Hopefully, the morning Hardcore Series workouts I have been doing this week will be good for at least a pound. I would like to see some measurable progress every month.
Tammy, enjoy Maximum Intensity Cardio. I love that workout! I am so sorry about your job, but I will pray that you find something you really love. I thought of you and smiled every time I changed shoes this morning!
Jane, I need to get my tax return filled out and mailed too. I am with you on the procrastination. How is your son doing?
Blessings,
Heather B.
