I'm going to run this afternoon when it cools off, it is 81 degrees here now, a little warm for me to run. I think I'll go walk now just to get outside.

81 sounds nice Jane, this morning at 4:30 I woke up to thunder & lightning!!

I knew I was going to do a long run and hoped the nasty stuff would subside...it did and I got in 20 miles with just a few sprinkles.

Hey Carole!! Glad you got your long run in. We have been getting a lot of afternoon thunderstorms here. I just finished power walking for an hour and it was 84 out there with a heat index of 88 so says WeatherBug. I was pouring sweat just walking!! I detest humidity!! When I cools off, I'm still going to attempt a run.

It is slow around here today. Did everybody take a rest day?
 
Hey Ladies, it is most certainly a slow Sunday today. I did a BodyCombat kickbox workout and added Janis Saffell's Strikezone drills. I finshed with 30 minutes yoga for hips, core and hams. My lawn is long and I want to mow but it's bloomin' cold and rainy here todayx( I want to garden but not with my parka on!! Oh well, I got to watch 'What's Eating Gilbert Grape', I love that movie....:)

Jane, 81 sounds heavenly although I'd sweat up a storm mowing in it.

Carole, I'd imagine a few sprinkles on such a long run could be refreshing so long as it wasn't to cold:)

I wound up with an unintentional rest day yesterday. Just to busy and then I ran out of oomph at night.
Haven't done anything yet today, hope to do power hour or SS tonight. Wanted to run, but it is STILL raining. We will see if it stops long enough.

Daily Check-in

I did some emotional eating yesterday and indulged in red meat and ice cream among other things, but I am back on track today after that derailment.

Today is a sad anniversary for me. My best friend was raped and murdered 20 years ago today. I had a major breakthrough in my journey this morning that set me free to continue my physical transformation. If you are interested, you can read my post in Open Discussion for details.

10*10*10 was on my rotation for this morning, but I have not done it yet. I walked and danced at the lake this morning. I am still planning to do 10*10*10 tonight. I need a nap first.

Well the rain FINALLY stoppped, and I talked myself to going out for a run! It was great. I pushed myself and did better then I ever have before, and I sprinted up the last hill right to my mailbox!!!! It was awesome!!! (first time for a real sprint LOL)
Anyway, I think I will end it with that, no weights today.
Oh yeah, no more jiggly thighs!!! WHOO HOO!

Hey girls.

Late check in for me today cause it was a busy day. I was runnin' all day long and just got home a bit after 8pm. I'm beat!

Anyway...this morning I did the 2nd half of SS Tone It Up that I couldn't finish yesterday and then I went to the gym and tried out the 20 min ITread work out. HOLY COW! What an awesome work out! It had a couple of flat runs, hill work and interval work in it...all packed into 20 mins...it was INTENSE!}(
