Hi good morning. I have done the workout of my rotation. Today was cardio of choice and I have done KPC. Later I will do something more. I am thinking about the cardio premix of HSTA and one hour in my stationary bike. Have a great Sunday.

Good morning Mariangeles...quite a workout you have in store for today! I am meeting some friends and running about 17 miles. The weather isn't too bad....a bit rainy off and on.

Enjoy the workouts ladies...:)...Carole

Hi Carole good morning. Have you seen the dvd in the home page? What exciting. I have done the totally hot cardio of Cristhi Taylor that I have. I have the vhs version (45 minutes). It has been a great extra- workout after KPC. Obviously my heart rate was lower than when I have done KPC.Later I will do 1 hour in my stationary bike. Enjoy the rest of the Sunday.

Thanks for the tip Mariangeles!! The Hardcore DVD's on the Homepage look awesome! I am so thankful I pre-ordered....:+ :D :) ....Carole

Good morning! The forums are certainly quiet this weekend. Did everyone burn themselves out last week?

This morning I did my usual Yogazone Toning & Flexibility video, then kept going with my own personal favourite stretches. I can't seem to get enough stretching these days. It feels delicious.

Wendymin72 - what did you think of 10-10-10 y-day?

Annette - I've had two pregnancies, but only one child (girl). I miscarried the second pregnancy at 11 weeks. Maybe this pregnancy is going so well because my body figures I already went through all the nausea crap already, with the miscarried pregnancy, so I deserve a break this time around? Except for your third pregnancy, your first two sounded ideal. I'm impressed with how long you were able to continue exercising!

Mariangeles - I was thrilled to see those dvds on the homepage, too! I hope the actual dvds look like that when they arrive.

Carole - enjoy your long run. I think I would enjoy having a regular fitness socialization time on Sunday mornings. You must have some really nice conversations when you're all out there. How many of you run together?

Today we are doing a toy cull. I'm not looking forward to it, but I will certainly appreciate being able to see the floor of my daughter's bedroom again, and some more of my living room, too.

Have a good Sunday, everyone!
Sandra

Good Morning Mariangeles, Carole and everyone else!

Well, I have some type of cardio on the board for today
but I have yet to pick my poison.:) }( :)

DH and I went to his sister's for dinner last night and afterwards DH went to spend some time with "the boys" so I was hanging with my SIL and her friend....they spent quite a while telling me about their pregnancy and childbirth experiences-OH MY! I hope my experience is not as traumatic! The way they described it, it would scare anyone! I know everyone is different though so that is what I am counting on!!!;-)

Have a great work out!

Hey Sandra-

I enjoyed 10*10*10 yesterday. Kept it grounded and had fun with it. Can't wait until I can "kick it up a notch" though! I'm sure I will end up trying Circuit Max one of these days...before I'm really too big to do it. Even if I only do it once and then save it for later...gotta try them all! }(

Have a great work out!

Hey Wendymin, Just chiming in again before I head back down to the Toy Zone. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed 10-10-10; you will definitely like Circuit Max, then!

WRT birth stories: it's a curious thing, but for women their birth experiences become like their own personal "war stories"; it's taken as a badge of honour to have gotten through it, and lived to tell the tale. For what it's worth, few, few women have a classic, exactly-as-described-in-the-textbooks birth. The most important frame of mind going into the birth experience is to expect anything. Your own birth experience will be completely unique, and it will be a great challenge, both physically and emotionally, but it will also become a defining moment in your life; something that you will talk about with your girlfriends for many, many years. Birth is something that can only be fully appreciated once you've gone through it; no amount of reading or talking can make you fully "get it". For most people it is a hard experience, but one of their most valued memories. My own birth experience with my first daughter was on the traumatic side, but it changed my life, and I'm willing to go through it all again. My point here is that you should expect it to be a trying ordeal, but that doesn't make it an undesirable one. And after you have the baby, you will be dying to talk about it with those women, because you know that they will truly be able to appreciate what it is that you experienced. I hate to say that it is like a "club", but certainly women who have birthed a baby or two have been through a unique experience that provides a common ground of communication with other birth-mothers. It's going to change your life. That's exciting :)

I'm right there with 'ya! Pumped to see the DVD pics on the homepage and feelin' very smart for ordering all 11 the very first day of the pre-sale! I have a feeling they're going to ship while I'm on vacation though and then I'll miss all the excitement that will ensue on this forum! I'll be away the first week of February, so if there's any validity to "woman's intuition" perhaps that's when they'll start landing on our doorsteps! Wouldn't that be awesome! I can't think of greater motivational tool to stay away from those tempting Valentine's "badies"! Ciao for now!

Hi everyone! Well, with my bum ankle still swollen (but improving) and now just a regular rainbow of bruise colors, I've been off my feet and doing NOTHING, and I do mean nothing, for two frustrating days. When I told you guys I was doing CTX UB Split on Friday I hadn't counted on my DH and DS fussing at me for trying even that. So I didn't do it.

Today the swelling is improved a lot, though, and I have their permission to do seated-only UB work and abs. I might try a little floor leg work, too, since I believe I can do that without involving my ankle (no ankle weights, obviously ;-().

Can't wait to get back on track. AAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!x( x(

Hi Sandra! Just wanted to say Hi! since I'm online earlier than usual. How is your DD? Do you still have the same routine with her morning sandwich followed by your workout & her extreme coaching? LOL. I do hope ya'll have a wonderful day.:)

Marla

Hi Jes, I love cardio. I am tired after the past rotation. I am going to finish the 3 week of my second rotation this next Monday too. What can I say? Today after the lunch time I have slept a nap. To be honest: I feel my legs sore. I hate the rest days.I haven't taken two days of rest during this three weeks.I know I have to rest : I always say tomorrow is my rest day but finally I exercise. The cathe's workouts are so much fun and I am a endorphine junkie. Kathy S. I am glad your ankle is getting better. Carole I am thankful too.Unfortunely I did not preorder in the first day. Mckmain and Kim are lucky persons. You will be two of the first receiving the dvd. Sandra the forums are quiet but wait to see when the dvd will be ready to ship.Have a great rest of the Sunday.

Hi all!

Yesterday was only intervals 1-5 of imax2 because I was running behind on lots of errands....I went to a pampered chef party and ended up buying over $100 worth of stuff, don't get me wrong I love their products but I left thinking how did all those "little" things add up to so much and how many cathe workouts could I have gotten with that money??!! LOL!!

Today was step from SJP and one of Bryan Kest's astanga yoga tapes....oh it felt SOOOO good to that one, haven't done yoga in SUCH a long time and it's exactly what I needed today....kind of tough because it's been so long but I am SOOO suprised at how flexible I still am after doing almost exclusively all Cathe workouts for the last few months, I am sooo proud:7 :7 :7 !! I will have to incorporate these tapes at least twice a week, I love how I am feeling right now!

Oh BTW I finally ordered CTX last night! Woo hoo!! I am so looking forward to this, which looks like it is going to be followed by Hardcore shortly after by the looks of things!!

Great workouts every one!! Gotta go I am running behind yet again today!! Will check in later, enjoy your sundays everyone!

Good morning ladies....

Carole and Mariangels you guys almost inspired me to do something...but I think I'll be resting today unless some motivation kicks in soon. Sunday's are just so hard to get goingx( I'll make it up on my rest day for this coming week:)

you all have a great day
:)

Finally did CTX UB Split!

Well, I have some victory and some defeat to report. I successfully did CTX UB Split with no problem for my ankle. I compression-wrapped it and put a sock and a Ryka mid-height shoe on, and my ankle felt secure and fine. I went pretty heavy on my weights, and it feels great to finally have done SOMETHING, even if it's only this.

The defeat is that I may in fact have fractured my tailbone. When I went to roll back on my step to do chest work. WOW did I experience tailbone pain, sharp and pointed! I don't feel it at all standing up, only slight discomfort kind of like bruising on leaning over (e.g., for barbell rows or deadlifts), and no discomfort at all sitting down. But that rolling motion? Oh no, no way!

Since your tailbone can't be put into a cast, I suppose I'll just continue with the Advil, and add icing my tailbone to everything else. Good grief!!!

For those of you who've had tailbone injuries, what's the healing timeframe and process like? I can see that I'm going to have to modify some abs work for a while -- none of those roll-ups and roll-downs! It's abs on the stability ball for me!!!!

Sandra...stretching is so good for you so keep it up! Yes I feel you deserve a break...:)...I normally run with my sister (who started this whole marathon thing for me!) and some close running friends, some from church and then some very dear friends.

Kim....we are quite lucky for pre-ordering the Hardcores. My weakness on Valentines Day is those cute red, pink and white Peanut M&M's...

Jes...I only ended up doing 14....lack of sleep last night made me very tired! Yes thanks for asking my massage is scheduled for Tues at 4PM!!!:) I am also with you on the birth stories!!! But...I think any woman that has given birth has my vote as a truly STRONG woman...

Sandy....way to go!! CTX is awesome...

Lisa...ever since I've run marathons, Sunday has always been a long run day for me, athough resting would be nice too...:)...Carole

RE: Finally did CTX UB Split!

Kathy S~
OUCH! Better get that tailbone checked out to be sure it's NOT A FRACTURE. I slammed mine down on the crossbar of my older brother's 10 speed bicycle back when I was a teenager and while I'm sure it wasn't fractured, it sure did smart for a long time and I remember feeling that "bruised" sensation when I bent over (like we do now for rows and deadlifts). I'll pray for a speedy recovery for you. I broke my toe yesterday (stubbed it into a barbell in the dark of all things! My DH bought an infared sauna and rearranged some things in the room. Why he'd leave a barbell w/ weight plates on it in my path is beyond me!) Fortunately, yesterday was a rest day, although I cruised the mall a few times with my DD & her best friend. I would have liked to have done Cardio w/ Weights today, but my toe actually hurts more today than yesterday and after causing me toe injury my DH is now unintentionally trying to share his cold with me! Tomorrow I'll bite the bullet and get back on track with ME. I feel like such a wuss after hearing about your workout with your compression wrapped ankle, etc! You go, girl! And take care of your tailbone/back -- that's not a good place to be hurting.

My work out is finally done. I did CTX-Power Circuit(cardio only) and 30 mins on the Gazelle. Was my first time trying Power Circuit. Was kind rough for me tryin' to figure out how to modify some of the high impact moves but I kinda just kept movin somehow if I wasn't sure exactly what to do. lol Other than that, I loved it...great work out for the legs!:D

Have a great work out!
