Hi everyone,

I did a 5K run this morning. Was itching to get out there. Beautiful day: -2C, bright blue skies, bit windy.

I'd scheduled a 10K but given last weeks stomach bug, I opted for a 5K at long run speed. Finished in 34:11min. Bit faster then I'd planned. Overtook two guys, which usually doesn't happen. Couldn't believe they were even slower then I was!

Will try to get a yoga w/o in.

And what have you all got planned?

Dutchie: Congrats! Ha on the 2 guys.

Carole: What team are you for. The Pats lost. HORRIBLE game. A bad call. 39 yard penalty turned the game around. Fumbles 99 yard run. I couldn't even watch it.

Today is going to be GS Shoulder. I think. I'm getting pretty well defined but want to take it up a notch. I'm not sure if I should do PUB, GS Back Shoulder Bicep, of SH Shoulders. Hmmm decisions, decisions. I'm suppose to meet a friend for drinks and want to be in extra good shape! Silly motivation I know.

My best guy friend leaves for a month business trip on Tuesday. I'm going to so miss him so much. We talked for like 3 hrs last night. The old when Harry met Sally routine! We were doing our what you want in a guy/woman list. I did mine and he wanted to know which of these he didn't have. Then we decided our big issue is we don't like the same things. He loves films/movies and I love watching sports on tv. He kidded about needing 2 tv rooms.

Well have a good workout everyone! I'll check in with all of you later.

Today is cardio and abs and maybe some walking lunges. Not sure about the lunges yet though as I have DOMS in my hams for the 2nd day in a row!:eek: }( :+

Dutchie..don't you just love passing guys!!! Sounds like you had a great run..:)

Robyn..I watched a bit of the Pat's game. I was making dinner. It's never good when there are bad calls in the playoffs...:(...I'd like to see Pittsburgh win but I think Indy is too strong. I do hope the Bears win today, it's been awhile since they have been in the playoffs...I'd pick GS shoulders myself...:)


Wendy...maybe the walking lunges will make your ham DOMS feel better...

I am doing a 12 mile trail run. Looks like things iced over a bit last night so it is quite cold...

Oh Carole, now I'm going to feel GUILTY if I don't do them! :p Okay, okay! I am officially doing walking lunges today! Ofcourse, I have never said how many!;) :p

Good morning fitness folks... it's a beautiful but cold Sunday morning here in North Carolina.

It's my rest day!!!! I'm going to get in a stretch and maybe play with my MTV Pilates Mix again today.

Carole - I'll have to pull against the Bears today, Go Carolina Panthers!! Ha, I don't even follow football but it is exciting when the home team makes it to the playoffs. DH is a Dallas fan and hates the Panthers due to the fact when they came to town, it blacked out a lot of the games he use to get on TV.

I have DOMS in my upper body from PUB yesterday. I woke up and turned over in the bed this morning and gasped!! It's worked out a little now.

Wendy - those walking lunges... there are just no words are there!!!! When I had to do them last week, I put on my MP3 player, music helped!!

Tammy - if you check in later, I wanted to tell you that I really want to try that MTV Pilates Mix today since it's my rest day. I did a little bit of the first one and a little bit of the second one last Sunday but just got about five minutes or so into it. It's hard to do anything besides maybe a stretch on my rest days with this rotation. I had trouble with #1 because of having to walk forward with your hands and my wrists weren't allowing that very well last week. I quickly abandoned that one but I believe I can figure out a modification for it.

Hey ladies,

Yesterday was S&H tri's and PH tri's. I tell you they were burning big time! Didn't get the legs in but I will put them with the S&H biceps and PH biceps today. I need to get the abs in also, cause I have neglected them.

Oh my...I did the lower body cardio blast from low impact step using an 8" step and dumb bells in place of the balls for the lunges and squats. My legs are FRIED and tomorrow I have to do Firm It Up which is ALL lower body work! YIKES!!!!:eek:

Sorry Carole, I just couldn't bring myself to add walking lunges to this work out...maybe later though...ya never know!}(

I also did 150 crunches: 50 upper/50 lower/50 oblique.

Time for a shower and off to the grocery store.

Hi Carole and Tammy: Ok I took your advice and did GS Back, shoulders and biceps. LOVE this series.

This weekends football has not been going the way I wanted for any of them! Was hoping for the Colts come back and now it looks like Caroline will beat the bears :(
