Daily Check-in
Good morning! I bounced on my rebounder yesterday morning after my quiet time, enjoyed a peaceful day at work with my boss out of the office all day, and relaxed with the stability ball segments of Total Body Stretching last night.
I bounced on my rebounder this morning. I am planning to do Cardio Kicks later today. It is time to start Clutter Max. I do not even want to think about what is hiding in all my closets and drawers! It will be a lot of hard work, but it will feel good to clear the clutter out of here.
Jane, I have no stones to throw after my incident earlier this week. We are even now! The next one who falls off the wagon gets to do the Body Max 2 scrambled eggs premix! I am not craving chocolate yet, but I am lusting after cheese. Hello, my name is Heather. I am a cheeseaholic. I refuse to be mastered by anything, so I will make it through this 40 days. I have no desire to abstain from dairy for the rest of my life. I can take or leave meat most of the time, but cheese is my favorite food. I think Cheryl’s suggestion in Open Discussion about limiting dairy consumption to 10 percent of daily caloric intake is a good plan. For me, 20 percent is more realistic and would allow me to enjoy my favorite whole wheat lasagna in moderation. By the way, I felt sluggish the morning after eating cream cheese. I think we can rejoice over these food hangovers. It is an indication that our normal eating is very clean!
Wendy, enjoy your rest day. I read your thread in Open Discussion. I personally believe it is better to enjoy small portions of real dairy instead of larger portions of the fat free stuff. Read the labels. When they remove the fat, they replace it with chemicals and other additives. I am a bit of a cheese snob. I eat only the best. An ounce of Cabot extra sharp white cheddar cheese is more satisfying to me than the cheap stuff and definitely more satisfying than the lower fat versions. In my opinion, cheese is a pleasure food like candy. There are better sources for calcium, so eat the most flavorful variety and savor every bite. It is good for me to give my body a break from dairy every now and then. I have a history of food allergies, and I have learned that the best way to prevent new food allergies is to rotate foods and not overeat anything. Balance, moderation, and variety are keys for me.
Phyllis, good job resisting the cookies. Now step away from the nuts! I am not a night person either.
Tammy, it is warming up in Texas! After a good night of sleep, I am feeling much better.
Conni, I am planning to clear out some workout videos that I do not love. I may have some Marcus Irwin videos to share with you. I love his Aussie accent. I love his dancy choreography. I hate that dark set. It depresses me. His music is not as good as Christi’s music. I actually love her Cardio Collectibles hi-lo workout. It is easier for me to follow her without all the choreography modifiers in the background doing their own thing. My favorite Marcus Irwin workout is Aerobic Engineering. Kari Anderson’s company filmed it in her studio. You do not seem to be bothered by superficial details like sets and music, so you might actually enjoy the other videos I have.
Kim, Cardio Kicks is fun. If you wear weighted gloves, you can kick up the intensity.
Blessings,
Heather B.
