Good morning fitness folks!

Today is Cardio Kicks (no I'm not doing it again!) I ditched it last night due to the Friday night lazies, DH being home, and ummmm.... I fell into the evil clutches of the Girl Scout cookies! (sorry Heather). I'm paying for it this morning, woke up all puffy, thirsting to death and feeling like poo! Kind of like a sugar hangover! I will put my blinders on to the cute little girl scouts outside of WalMart today, I view them as evil now!:p

I may try a double header today if my body will cooperate, Cardio Kicks this morning and Butts and Guts this afternoon.

Hi all. I woke up sick yesterday and a wo was out of the question. I managed to drag my sorry butt to work. Luckily, I didn't have to be in until 1:30. The down side is I had to work until 10. I am so not a night person. I have a head cold. I'm not planning anything for today either. Tomorrow, I'll probably start week 3 of the rotation.

Conni, my doms wasn't too bad, just a little in my glutes. I expected much more. So, now I'm thinking that maybe I wasn't putting my all into it. Of course, that's easy to say now when I am sitting on my butt not doing anything! So, tell me more about Tracey's Intensity Mix. Is that Tracy from the Firm?

Becky, you are doing a great job! Pat yourself on the back. It wasn't long ago that you were looking to do short workouts, and now you are up to a 65 min one! :)

Jane, you know what's wierd? I havent had one GS cookie this year! Being the cookie mom, with easy access, you'd think that I would go crazy, but for some reason theyre not calling me. Maybe they just can't be heard over the can(rather large one) of mixed nuts!

Well, I'm running a little long today. Have a good one.

Good Morning Fit Chicks!

Today is a 45 minute interval run which I'll probably do to CC#3.

Jane: *steps over crumbs on way into room*....Step away from the cookies! Let us know how Cardio Kicks and B & G in the same day works out:eek:

Phyllis: I hope you feel better soon.

Tig: Have fun at the party...are you going to be in my neck of the woods?

Conni: Basketball this weekend?

Annette: Congrats on getting the scale to go in the right direction:7

Heather: Is it warming up in Texas? How are you doing?

Cab: BM#1 just about killed me when I did it. I think BM#2 is a tad easier.

Hey everyone!

Phyllis - Tracey Staehle is a newcomer on the scene. She has an intensity series out and is in the middle of a presale on a new sweatfest series. You can do a search and find alot of discussion. She also has a website, I think you can do a google on Fitness by Tracey, and it will pop up. I love her step workout!

Tammy - Basketball is finally over, on to little league next month! It is so nice to have a Saturday without a wild schedule for at least a little while!

Today was Traceys' Kickbox Challenge and Body Sculpt. 90 minutes and my body is fried!!! The kickbox is so so, but the sculpt is really unique!

Okay, got Cardio Kicks done. Definitely seem easier comparing to all the other workouts on this Feb rotation. Hope you're feeling better soon Phyllis, I just got over a terrible head cold so can feel your pain. Good luck with the double workout, Jane! Kim

Daily Check-in

Good morning! I bounced on my rebounder yesterday morning after my quiet time, enjoyed a peaceful day at work with my boss out of the office all day, and relaxed with the stability ball segments of Total Body Stretching last night.

I bounced on my rebounder this morning. I am planning to do Cardio Kicks later today. It is time to start Clutter Max. I do not even want to think about what is hiding in all my closets and drawers! It will be a lot of hard work, but it will feel good to clear the clutter out of here.

Jane, I have no stones to throw after my incident earlier this week. We are even now! The next one who falls off the wagon gets to do the Body Max 2 scrambled eggs premix! I am not craving chocolate yet, but I am lusting after cheese. Hello, my name is Heather. I am a cheeseaholic. I refuse to be mastered by anything, so I will make it through this 40 days. I have no desire to abstain from dairy for the rest of my life. I can take or leave meat most of the time, but cheese is my favorite food. I think Cheryl’s suggestion in Open Discussion about limiting dairy consumption to 10 percent of daily caloric intake is a good plan. For me, 20 percent is more realistic and would allow me to enjoy my favorite whole wheat lasagna in moderation. By the way, I felt sluggish the morning after eating cream cheese. I think we can rejoice over these food hangovers. It is an indication that our normal eating is very clean!

Wendy, enjoy your rest day. I read your thread in Open Discussion. I personally believe it is better to enjoy small portions of real dairy instead of larger portions of the fat free stuff. Read the labels. When they remove the fat, they replace it with chemicals and other additives. I am a bit of a cheese snob. I eat only the best. An ounce of Cabot extra sharp white cheddar cheese is more satisfying to me than the cheap stuff and definitely more satisfying than the lower fat versions. In my opinion, cheese is a pleasure food like candy. There are better sources for calcium, so eat the most flavorful variety and savor every bite. It is good for me to give my body a break from dairy every now and then. I have a history of food allergies, and I have learned that the best way to prevent new food allergies is to rotate foods and not overeat anything. Balance, moderation, and variety are keys for me.

Phyllis, good job resisting the cookies. Now step away from the nuts! I am not a night person either.

Tammy, it is warming up in Texas! After a good night of sleep, I am feeling much better.

Conni, I am planning to clear out some workout videos that I do not love. I may have some Marcus Irwin videos to share with you. I love his Aussie accent. I love his dancy choreography. I hate that dark set. It depresses me. His music is not as good as Christi’s music. I actually love her Cardio Collectibles hi-lo workout. It is easier for me to follow her without all the choreography modifiers in the background doing their own thing. My favorite Marcus Irwin workout is Aerobic Engineering. Kari Anderson’s company filmed it in her studio. You do not seem to be bothered by superficial details like sets and music, so you might actually enjoy the other videos I have.

Kim, Cardio Kicks is fun. If you wear weighted gloves, you can kick up the intensity.

Blessings,
Heather B.

RE: Daily Check-in

Hi Girls!

I had a great interval run this morning...probably the best ever. After a cool-down and stretch I did the abs from C & W...I love that song!

Heather: I thought of you this morning when I was making my breakfast. I shredded a small amount of cabot cheddar cheese into my scrambled eggs...yummo:9

RE: Daily Check-in

Heather - Wow, you are looking to rid yourself of Marcus?? If that is the case, send me a PM, I will be glad to discuss purchase options and or trades of some stuff I don't use.

This could benefit both of us, perhaps! :)
