Good Morning

Off to do Gauntlet cardio only.

Becky ~ I am doing my own rotation this month... 1 day upper body split, 1 day lower body, and a full body workout for weight work, and 3 days cardio. Doing this for 4 weeks. I'm trying endurance for a change, I'd like to see some definition, and I hope this works.

Deanie, that sounds great ! Are you choosing your workout each day or did you plan ahead ?
Here it is the start of a new week and I don't have any idea what I'm doing !

I feel like doing my own thing for a while but as unmotivated as I've been, I'm afraid that's not the best idea .:(

Anyway, I'm thinking upperbody today.....so maybe I'll do CTX !
I'll report back once WHATEVER I do , is done ! ;)

I slept through my morning workout, so it will be cardio after work.

Becky ~ I think I'm going to try doing my own thing for awhile too.

Deanie ~ I'm off to look up what the Gauntlet cardio is...it may be a choice for tonight.

I agree the weekend went by too quickly. I've been in the unmotivated section myself. Sometimes it seems all I do is fixate over what workout I need to do and find no joy in it. Thats why I switched it up with the KBell.

Tammy Sometimes we need that lil bit of sleep. I have my alarm go off at 4am for my workouts but I just can't seem to get up that early again esp with it still being dark.

Vilma,

I've been VERY interested in KB's. Just have not felt like I could spend the money.
I know they are expensive and then the dvd's too.......
so for now I will hold off.
but let me know what you think .

G'morning all. I'm taking another rest day as yesterday I couldn't walk 3 ft without sitting down after.:( DH wanted me to taked a day off from work, but I hate to waste the time. So, I'll get back to it tomorrow,I hope.

I agree with Becky about KB's. I don't want to investigate too much as I don't want to spend the $$ right now.

I'm still now sure what I'll be doing when I resume exercising. I didn't quite finish Sept's rotation. I need structure, though. If I figured it out and wrote it down, I'd be OK, but it's easier to just follow and already made up one.
 
Becky let me tell you that as much as I love Cathe's workouts I got to a point where I needed some variety.

I can't look at rotations at the moment and get excited about them....guess I got a bit of burn out.

Also after much soul searching for a good few months I went ahead and canceled my STS order last week. It was hard to do but for me felt like the right choice; I feel so much better about it now. I just never felt the 'love' for that series and so I applied the money from that to fund my kettlebells.

I have all of Cathe's workouts and an STS like rotation if I want to go that route but for me at this point in time STS is just not for me. Maybe later on I'll get it but this entire time since I ordered it I was never 100% sure about it and felt eh over it.:eek:

I am finally feeling more enthusiasm once again to workout. Really enjoying how the KB give me DOMs in muscles I can not believe plus the cardio factor is good too. I'm still learning but happy with my overall decision.

Its endurance, and I'm hoping for muscle definition. (which should happen!!;) )

Week 1
Day 1: CTX upper body and LL abs
Day 2: The Gauntlet cardio only
Day 3: Leaner Legs
Day 4: DM cardio only
Day 5: OFF
Day 6: SS
Day 7: 45-60 min treadmill

Week 2
Day 1: CTX upper body and abs
Day 2: 4DS bootcamp/kickbox
Day 3: Leaner Legs
Day 4: elliptical
Day 5: PH
Day 6: CF – step only
Day 7: off

Week 3
Day 1: PP upper body X3 / PH abs
Day 2: DM cardio only
Day 3: PP lower body X3/ PH abs
Day 4: HCE#3
Day 5: PUB/PLB combo premix or ME
Day 6: 45-60 min. treadmill
Day 7: off


Week 4
Day 1: SS upper body 3 sets/ KB abs
Day 2: 45-60 min. treadmill
Day 3: SS lower body blast (33 min.)/KB abs
Day 4: 4DS HIS/LIS
Day 5: MM
Day 6: 4DS kickbox/bootcamp

I love that rotation ! I am copying it and may start it next week ! Thanks for sharing !:) Did you make it up yourself ? I'm impressed! ; )

Today I decided to switch it up with BBC. I did chest & abs and the TM cardio.
It was a good change for me and I feel like I worked out pretty hard.

Vilma, I'm sorry about your cancellation too but you know, I've considered it on and off this whole time too. For now I've hung in there, but I'm not sure that I won't cancel either! Pretty much the same reasons too.......$$$$ , and I'm not sure that it's all that different from all the weight workouts we already have. I'm not completely convinced I am going to put the time in to do all that 1 rep stuff (not even sure what it's called !), so I wouldnt' get the full benefit anyway. But still on the fence....

Anyway...have a good one !

Deanie & Becky re: my sts cancelation - actually nothing to be sorry about. Actually I feel good about my decision to cancel once I put myself through the questions as to why I wanted it. Honestly I jumped on the bandwagon and got swept up from all the excitement back in January when we were able to preorder.

I was never gung ho about it but figured what the heck I had the money and thought I could ponder over it.

As the photos started getting posted & I saw the youtube clips, I just didn't feel 'happy' or excited about it. I tried belive me I did lol but finally realized to myself that as much as I enjoy having a program layed out for me I just didn't want it.

With that said I did tons of soul seaching and reading everything I could ; I have a STS like rotation using all of Cathe's workouts so if I want to try it out I can.

I've decided to wait out on the reviews and if I really in my heart feel I want it & think its something my body wants then I'll get it.

Someone on here once told me a few years ago when I was debating over another Cathe preorder to try not to be a 'bargain whore' remember that show? I laughed when she told me and it was so true.

I was once again getting on that trying to save some money over a product I was not sure about and it was a preorder too.

I was very curious about kettlebells and finally took a risk with buying one at Target, I figured if I didn't like it I can return it and thats it . After I tried out the instructional exercises dvd that came with the bell and feeling how I did - I was sold.

I'm glad I took that risk about the kettlebells and also got rid of that ambivilent dread I had over STS.

So nothing to be sorry about actually I'm glad over it. If STS turns out to be the best thing then I'll slowly accure my money and buy it at my leisure. With the knowing that its something I truely want :)

Hi gals,

While I still have a very deep congestion cough, I am determined to workout this week since we are off school. My weight is up and I am thinking it is due to my cycle being due since I haven't eaten anything too bad. I did Hardcore Kickbox Circuit today and I did the whole thing. Which is very good considering here lately I have been cutting workouts short(just not in the mood to do them), so doing it all was an accomplishment in and of itself.

So anyway, it is done and everybody have a great day!!!:D
 
Deanie, that looks like a good rotation! I'm still not positive what I'm going to do, but I like Cathe's Sept rotation too . I guess I'll know for sure tomorrow morning.

Vilma, it sounds like you have it all figured out. I'm happy for you.:) I admit, at first I preordered just because I had to have it . It was Cathe after all. The second thoughts came later. So, we shall see.

Annette, be careful with that cough. You dont want to make it worse. Were you coughing after that circuit?
 
Phyllis, I cough off and on all day long, it is just worse in the morning upon rising. I don't remember if I coughed after I know I coughed some during. It is just such a deep cough that you can't cough out the phlgem into your mouth in order to spit so you end up swallowing it back down,sigh. Plus it tastes real bad too.
