Hello Everyone,

Great to see so many of us cathletes checking in yesterday.

Henriette - I envy your reports of travelling and bike riding everywhere!

Today I did a short cardio workout - 35 minutes included X10, intensity bootcamp premix and a Mike D. 10 minute workout. It's all I had time for today.

Good Morning everyone!! Today I did Patrick Goudeau "Bodyweight Blast". I'm desperately trying to figure out what works best for me. I'm just shy of 52 years old and have put on a few pounds. Am I pushing things too hard therefore increasing cortisol in a bad way which results in pudge around the middle? Should I back off my beloved cardio and focus on weights? I'm soooo confused but at least I still love getting a good sweat on!!
 
Cathe really DOES read minds!!! I just saw her blog article on belly fat. HiiT wkouts are key but it's hard to have that level of energy/intensity at 5:30 AM. Plus...I didn't see anything that mentioned chocolate cake or M & M's candy anywhere in the article. In short....I'm doomed!! I guess I need to embrace my squishy bits.

Tlc93, is it just a few pounds or more like 5 or more. If you are lifting regularly it could just be muscle weight. It you have recently changed your workouts then it could be water weight while your body adjusts to the new routine. And of course there is always the enviable middle age spread[emoji38][emoji44].

Today I taught my aerobic circuit class to 6 ladies(51 minutes we went over a tad)then I did 55 minutes of weight work. This including bench pressing 130 pounds for 4 reps!!![emoji28]

I was pumped with that.

It is very windy with a driving rain here today . Nasty weather.

Today is a rest day for me. I did some of the Seasun workout on a 4" step. I've got the first combo down. I'm in the middle of the second.
 
Hi Ladies,

Today was another day with a lot of biking. First back and forth to the station on my regular city bike... or mama bike as I call it. It is heavy! Ideal for carrying kids on the back, but not ideal when you're in a rush trying to catch the train.
Then this afternoon I hopped on my Mountain bike to bike to the bball training and back. I think I may have been nearly 10min faster getting there on my mountain bike compared to the weeks I went on my mama bike.
After the training I did a new to me premix on the 4 day Split Bootcamp dvd: premix 10, which was chest, shouders and triceps.
I think I need to make more use of these premixes as they are great and a nice change from knowing what comes next. Only thing was the dvd didn't play that great. It was one of the ones I got on Cathe's Black Friday sale so the first time I had tried this one and in between scenes there were lots of vertical lines, but then when actual exercises were done it was ok. Strange! Good workout nevertheless... my body is tired!

You are no slouch Siobhan. That's a lot of umph in a quickie one!! Hey to you Linda! Hope your day is nice so far.

Today I didn't feel like anything besides crawling in a ball. lol. I managed to do 10 min trainer Abs & Waist Definer. 10 minute trainer is excellent when I am otherwise unmotivated!!

tlc, I truly have seen that these things are pretty individual. ANY stress relieving workouts cannot be a bad thing though. I am 38 and have learned over this past year that I get far more out of my workouts if I do 3-5 a week. Working out more than 5 times a week just does not give me better results. Although, I am also seeing an endo for some some health issues and she has also advised me against long/er duration Hiit. It's under 18 minutes or do not do it. We are all different and things can change for us over time.
 
My body is definately changing! Blaaaaaa!!!! Thanks for the encouragement and daily check ins! It's nice. Have a great evening everyone.
 
Hey everyone, here I am again, bringing up the rear, I was able to do a blender Blizzard Blast mix this evening. Annette, we had the same
kind of day here, windy and rainy. Awful day, weather-wise. Have a good night all.
