I had some kind of stomach bug near the end of last week which landed me in bed and sleeping. I am feeling much better today. Today I wanted something different so I did a pyramid workout at the gym for chest and triceps.
Started with barbell bench press for 12 reps at 55 pounds, then 8 reps at 65 pounds and 4 reps at 75 pounds then went back down the pyramid.
Then went to dumbbell flyes using 10, 12.5 and 15 pound dumbbells for 12, 10 and 8 reps respectively and then back down.
Went onto overhead 1 arm triceps using the same weights as for flyes and same number of reps switching arms and repeating. Going back down the pyramid.
Then I did tricep kickbacks with the same weights as before switching in the middle and going both up and down the pyramid.
Then I did the pec flye machine using the pyramid method with 55 pounds at 12, 70 at 10 and 85 for 8 and back down.
Then I did some calf work on the incline leg press machine, 3 sets (12, 15 and 20 reps)
Then I did the triceps machine for some extra work.
Then I did the inner thigh machines only. Set at 55, the tried 60(that was tough) ended with 70 which was a tough 3 reps.
Then floorwork for abs, legs and glutes with some weighted exercises and a stretch.
Ended up being 71 minutes total .
Not bad for me kinda doing a hodge podge weight workout. Hopefully I will feel it later or tomorrow.
