Today is CTX upper. Really enjoying this workout.

Good Morning Deanie, Hi to everyone who follows !

I am going to do upperbody too. I might do CTX , not sure yet.
Yesterday we hiked at a GOOD pace for 50 minutes. Really got the heart beating on those hills !!

Tammy, good luck getting in to the doctor !

I can't believe MONDAY (and a dark, cold one- so far anyway) is here already !!! :(

Took the weekend off from th epc for the most part and tried to be outside as much as possible.

I have a kbell workout on tap.


Deanie I did CTX UB a few weeks ago and it was an oldoie but a goodie (where's that smirky devil smilie when you need it? ) lol Sounds like you are really enjoying CTX

Becky Yup dark and cold with possible frost on my car this am for me too, I need to go out and check the windsheild soon. My lovely dh took over my garage for his woodworking projects and now no more warm car interior lol:rolleyes:

You seem about as thrilled as I am about the cold weather and dark mornings ! :(

Did you read over the weekend, that I exchanged my 10#KB for a 20# ??
They are on sale 20% off at Dicks and I got the 20 pounder for only $10 more.

I KNOW 20# is probably heavy to start with but I canNOT find an 18pound KB to save my life!
So I will start out with a dumbbell if I have to, to learn the moves .
Think that'll work ??

I'm still grumbling about it being Monday........

Becky we can commiserate about the cold drab Monday morning together.:confused:

We had to turn on our heating unit this weekend.


That good news about the kbell. I need to phone up to see where mine that I ordered online are at -they were back ordered but I was told that after the 12th so I need to check.

I don't have a Dick's close by so I got mine at Target.

Just do the tutorials with the 20 and go at your own pace . :)

Deanie, I find that upper body CTX wo tough. It doesn't have a warm up - maybe that's why.

Becky, how nice that you have hiking spots close by. Was this one a new spot for you?

Vilma, I hate a cold car too.:(

I am going to Cathe's gym this AM. :D The tri staters are getting together. We all live fairly close. I talked my sister into going too. It should be fun. The class today is cardio kickbox - not my fav but it won't matter.:D
 
WOW!! have fun Phyllis!!! I would love to just "pop" over to take a Cathe kickbox class!!(insert jealous smilie;)) Have a great time:)

Yeah, it is darn cold here peeps, and it is not going to get really balmy here today, maybe low 50's or so...I guess it could be worse..

I am off of work today, DS doesn't have school, so I am hanging around with him and Sherman today. Not too much planned, but it is nice not to have to go to the office for once.
Today is 4DS BC and another Amy ab section.

I did CTX upperbody and abs from CTX kickbox ! I always forget how tough that UB workout is until I do it again ! My chest and biceps especially !!! (omg and shoulders too ! ha)

Now I'm eating a bowl of the pumpkin oatmeal I found on another thread yesterday. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMM It's GOOD !!! I made it as written, only left out the nutmeg and added flaxseeds. It's yummy and perfect for this cold morning !

I had an awesome time today! Check out the threads in the OD and Ask Cathe.

We did a mix of KB and bootcamp type drills - very lite on the KB - lots of drills. We ran around the gym, did caterpillar type of running(think of ~ type of shape), drills with cones, mini hurdles, racing, hopping, jumprope etc.. Jai joined us for the class. Unfortunately, Cathe couldn't join us afterwards for a bite to eat.

OK, my HRM said I burned 838 calories. I'm not sure if that is possible!! I WAS a little lightheaded afterwards. We went to Friendlys and I pigged out on fajita quesadillas - yum! I've downed a lot of water and I feel normal now.:D
 
Phyllis so glad you had a fun time at Cathe's .

I need to pop over the other boards and read all about it.

Well I finally got my car back from the body shop today 4 weeks It was gone but she looks great you could not tell that she was all wrecked up by looking at her even the paint job you can't tell they did a splendid job fixing her up so it was well worth the wait.

The sun finally popped out at 730 am here and I've been outside for most of the day after I did my workout and got my car .

See you all in the morning - I'm so tired and ready for bed and its not even 6pm yet :eek:
