Blech.....Monday already? Gosh darn but those weekends go by fast x(

Good Morning Fitties!

I am excited to get back to working out after another unexpected break (3 days).

My MIL is now in a nursing home....for now it's for rehab, but she may very well end up there permanantly.
She ended up having back surgery (called bandaide surgery) to correct pain she was having.
She's not in very good shape and we still don't have all the answers, but has dementia,& is extremely sleepy all the time since her last fall. We don't know why suddenly she is mentally so bad....they said she had had some TIA's but they didn't seem to think they were all that bad.
Anyway, now that she's in a nursing home, she's closer to us. She went to a hospital that was a good drive for us, so that's all we've been doing for the past week , is driving back and forth all the time.
This will be much easier. We were able to go see her twice yesterday.

I don't even know what's on the rotation but I NEED both cardio and weights so I'll probably do a circuit. I'm having so much trouble getting through this rotation....just because of so many unplanned breaks! I'm still in week one!

And Tammy, yes, I agree about the TOO FAST weekends! No fair !

My schedule for work this month is different then it's been in a while so it's thrown off my work out schedule. I am also busy with committments in the evenings these days which is making things more difficult for me to fit in. Grrrr.

I definately want to do a weight work out today and MAY try to get to the gym this evening for a run. I'm not sure about that yet though...

I decided on Cardio Pump Step, the Great mix. Was good for today.

Phyllis, she knows where she is,just seems unclear a lot of the time, why she's there. In the hospital she didn't recognise my daughter who came with us to visit once . And asked me and DH about "our boys" (?) (we have 2 girls and a boy).
Some of the things she came up with you have to laugh at. The situation is so sad, but I wonder where she is getting some of her ideas?? Last night she was talking about the snowflakes in her back.:eek:
She asked my oldest daughter if her son (he's a baby) told her that he bit his big brother, because she SAW him do it when she spent the night with them ! Of course , none of that happened.
We just got to where we were going along with it.

Really sad though, when they talked to her about surgery , she said that was fine but they needed to talk to her husband about it first.
My FIL died 15 years ago.:-(

I hope this is temporary, but no one seems to even know why it's happening. We don't have a diagnosis of Alzheimers, but it does tend to go hand in hand with Parkinsons, which she does have.

Becky - I am sorry to hear of your situation. I know this stuff can be so stressful, hang in there and try to take care of yourself too during all this insanity.

Phyllis - Have fun with RS. I like that workout, but the screaming vocals kind of drive me wacky at times..

Today was BC on the rotation. I had no problems with it too, with makes me feel like I am on a good stretch here.

Wendy: I know how you feel I often run into the same hassles with scheduling and working out at 5:00am really isn't a good option for me.

Conni: Isn't it nice to be on a roll? ;-)

Today will be an upper body combo...either Cathe's GS back/shoulders and GS Chest Tri or a similar P90X combo. I'll also try to throw 30 min of cardio in there. I need to chill a bit until I talk with the doctor in early October. In the mean time, I've been going to therapy to deal with my tight IT band which the believe is causing the pain in my knees (although I've been advised that I can w/o as normal). Either way, I like sitting in the whirlpool. I guess I'm easily amused ;-)

L&G and run done...I did the run to IM#2 ~ that was a blast!!!

Vilma ~ I do the BC everything but abs premix and then the abs...all that up and down in the regular workout makes me dizzy :+

Evening all....

I used CC#4 for my run... that has become my favorite, I really love that workout! I just finished about 8 p.m., didn't get off work until 5:15 due to having to do something this morning and working late to get in my time. I hope I can sleep!!!
